Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa Hoover Review

Phenomenal experience. From the initial entry to the final check out the staff here is excellent. The grounds are well maintained. The rooms are excellent as are the on site restaurants and lounges. We will be back.

Just checked in and very impressed! Quiet and tucked away in a very peaceful area....this place feels like an escape!

Had a wonderful time as always! Enjoyed celebrating my birthday weekend with time at the pool and a fantastic massage and facial at the spa! Renaissance at Ross Bridge never disappoints!

The sheets still had hair on them but they quickly changed them out once we brought that up

I have stayed here a handful of times and each time my experience has been wonderful! Exceptionally, friendly staff. Spacious, clean rooms. Spa is relaxing and Aveda products complimentary in room. Room service was delicious. Easy access on and off the highway. My daughter calls it the "castle hotel." It really is a lovely place to stay and a nice change/break from your typical chain hotel.

Was not a good first drive up impression inside nice my bathroom tiles looks like it needs a good steam cleaning to continue

I ve stayed here several times within the past few years and my experience has always been great. However, I just stayed on business for the first time last night. It was bad. My room was not clean. The sheets were stained. Room service food was nasty. I went to the hotel bar and was double charged and the staff acted strangely toward me when I asked for them to fix it (they did however fix it at least). Also, and this was the worst part, they did not honor the discount that everyone else in my group received. I didn t get it and I was given a bogus third party reservation story, when the charge on my account was clearly from the hotel. They had plenty of ability to fix their mistake, but they didn t. Very disappointing. I won t be back. I m not willing to pay $250 to stay at a gross hotel so...

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch. Made to order omlettes, along with a great selection of breakfast favorites. We will visit there again!

The bartenders at JT s Lounge, Chase and Kelsey, made me and everyone else there feel right at home. You get great conversation and professional service!

Absolutley outstanding golf experience. One of the nicest courses played. Be sure to choose the correct tees for your handicap. Great friendly and cooperative staff.....but the coffees and Baileys were a little stiffly priced

I went here for the first time ever today to grab a quick bite with a friend. I had such a nice time. I had a rough day today & our waitress Kelsey C., was very professional and sweet. She was not super chatty(which I LOVED), gave us our spaces, & our food/drinks were delicious. When I wasn't impressed with my crunchy fries, she switched them out quickly & they were perfect. Scenery is very cozy & relaxing. Restrooms were clean. I'm looking forward to going back & I look forward to seeing Kelsey C. again.

I was doing the Robert Trent Jones golf trail, I recommend any golf fan should try to play the trail. Great courses and good hospitality from employees.

Just Ok. Definitely not worth the price. Brock's, the hotel restaurant's food is subpar and overpriced. Bedding had a funky smell. Requested king size bed weeks in advance and still did not receive one. Pool towels are rough and small. For what you pay, I expected more. Will not be returning.

Customer service was terrible. Called in to ask a basic question and the rep was very rude. Wouldn t ever dream of staying here

I would say one of the best hotels in the Birmingham area! Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location. Nice clean rooms, defiantly feel welcome here. Convention hall is nice to get work done.

Because of COVID, many things not open or available. A little disappointed - not the Marriott we are accustomed to

Our room wasn t ready until after our check in time. We had to wait 30-35 minutes. The breakfast buffet was terrible. My eggs were literally watery. The room was nice and stocked accordingly.

Room was dirty. Tv was not working. Bartender and servers without mask. Mold on bathroom wall and in shower.

The best way to describe my experience at this hotel is awkward. I ordered a pizza and 2 cokes from room service. We received what tasted like a piece of cardboard with sauce and cheese and 2 cans of coke. We did not receive glassware, dishes or ice. We tried again at breakfast and ordered white toast only to receive sourdough toast and no jam or jelly. Afterwards, we placed the tray in the hall only to walk by it the entire day despite our requests to have it removed. To add the icing on the ackward experience, housekeeping cleaned our room once! We checked in on a Thursday and left on Tuesday. AND the one (1) time they cleaned our room was the day we tracked down the housekeeping supervisor in the hallway.
I would NOT recommend this hotel. I would recommend that the hotel reevaluate the way they supervise their staff. It is clear no one is watching.

our stay was magical!!! the buffet at Brock's in the mornings is beyond compare. everything you can imagine and more is there - and it's all incredible quality. the staff was incomparably helpful. I've never been somewhere like this where every single last person truly wanted to help! they had free milkshakes on Saturday in the lobby and comped our breakfast on Sunday morning because there had been music playing in a neighboring room late on Saturday and the manager was genuinely concerned about how it affected our stay. the pool is great for kids!!! there's so much to do: bikes, tennis, swimming, badminton, great restaurants, and grounds to explore. definitely want to go back!!

This was just a great overall experience. We only stayed one night, and didn't golf, but the room (parlor suite) was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was absolutely great. The staff were all pleasant. Two thumbs up for Marriott.

***Valet parking is a must, unless you're looking forward to a good little hike.

Location was away from town, restaurants, etc and was very lovely and quiet. The rooms were large and very comfortable. Parking was a ways away from the front entrance which made carrying your luggage inside somewhat cumbersome.

The hotel was beautiful. I felt like I was on vacation far away even though it was only 10 minutes from where I live. Everyone was super nice and accommodating, the food was delicious, and there were very nice toiletries to use as well. Our room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower and tub were very luxurious. There was an indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub that were beautiful and very relaxing. It was overall a very nice relaxing getaway

As a non-golfer or wedding attendee, not sure what justified the premium versus other area hotels. Never got an explanation of the extra resort fees either.

The room was overlooking the front of the hotel. The view was ok, the resort view is better. The rooms are spacious and includes a refrigerator and a safe but no microwave. There are 3 restaurants on site plus room service. My room did have ants this time around. I've stayed at this hotel about 4 times.

The staff was awesome. We reserved a private dining room at Brock's. It was a great experience.

Wonderful rooms! The entire hotel was clean and amazing. The only issue was a small issue with our tax free status when we checked out but it was taken care of promptly.

I was at the Renaissance for a graduation luncheon for a friend of mine. We had a very large party (20+) and the staff met all our needs promptly and our orders were all correct. The food was of excellent quality and I would fully recommend the BLTA (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Avacado) sandwhich!

Had a fabulous treatment in the spa & fantastic dinner at Brocks. Highly recommend!

High end, nice place. Golf was scenic and beautiful. Expect to pay a lot for everything, but totally worth it. Would definitely come back.

Magnificent amenities and an Above average weight room

This place was AMAZING. I really wish we had come in the summer time. My family and I felt like we were transported to another time and place. I highly recommend staying here.

I have been to many Marriott Hotels and this one is just outstanding from Customer service to quality of the food! I'll defiantly stay at this hotel again!

Very nice rooms and pleasant staff. We enjoyed our stay. Only frustration came in booking, where websites gave incorrect pricing, but this was a third party problem not related to the hotel. Would recommend and stay there again!

Had a great stay at Ross Bridge thanks especially to Carlos (bellman). There was a slight glitch w room but was rectified immediately. Fantastic bfast buffet and all staff were friendly and accommodating. I will def stay here again and recommend to family/friends!

Only stayed one night. Great room with balcony. Loved the experience.

It was a dud. It looks nice. Nice setup outside with the fire pits and seating area. Menu was intriguing. However, my friends and I were not greeted by the staff upon entering the bar, they were passive and even dismissive with our service and as a result, we simply left the establishment.

Called the spa to make appointments and to change schedules. They never picked up until I called them about 6 times. Overall, trying to get an appointment at the spa and change the time and to cancel the appointment, took 35 calls. Currently still calling them to get one receipt via email.

Besides being to expensive,is a wonderful place to relax

The experience was great the first afternoon and with every staff member except the catering staff. When I asked about water without fruit (due to an allergy) for the room...after the event planners asked...the staff told me to get it from a different location or grab a carafe from the other location myself. I had to ask the front desk for water and the gentleman there thankfully addressed it with a supervisor from the catering department.

My wife and I ate Thanksgiving lunch buffet. Wonderful food, great selection. Service was excellent. Planning on doing it again

The Thanksgiving buffet was phenomenal and the staff is fantastic. Extremely nice place.
