Bellmen very helpful and non aggressive
Front desk greeters very helpful and pleasant.
Room: One negative thing about the room: There was a small hole in the sheet on our bed. Also the room temperature did not reflect what the thermostat read. Service was good in most areas. Room service
Restaurant gets mixed reviews in service. One waiter didn t seem to care. Hostess was cheerful and managed many demands with grace beyond her youthful appearance. Manager of waiters was efficient and pleasant...
Beautiful setting. Walk to the Farmers market every first Friday

Living just a few miles away from Ross Bridge Resort & Spa, it s an easy, quick getaway for the weekend with the most incredible breakfast buffet at Brock s restaurant (on-site) & the ultimate in pampering with a couples massage! The beautiful, tranquil scenery makes you feel like you are far from the city but with everything you could need within minutes from the resort. The staff at the resort & spa go above & beyond each & every time to make sure our visits are amazing!

The place was beautiful. I would have given 5 stars, but the Bar killed the experience. 8 of us were trying to get food/drinks after a full day of golf (36 holes), and the bartender was simply getting overwhelmed. Wasn't her fault, place was under staffed, and bartender did the best she could do. Approx 50 people in the bar and she tried to take care of everyone by herself. Possibly the worst dining experience I have ever witnessed.

Visited here for a birthday event and it's so beautiful. I didn't experience the hotel rooms but the outdoor area is so picture perfect. I will definitely be back to visit. I saw the pool area had a waterfall that I would love to see up close.

Beautiful and convenient location. Great for families. Food service was slow... at the pool and the next day during lunch/ in restaurant dining.... but the meals were good. Just something to bear in mind when small children are at the table.

Stayed here during the Porsche Sport Driving School event few years back. Very nice resort overall. Only thing I had trouble with was cell reception in my room. ZERO. Otherwise, excellent place to stay, especially if you love golf.

Breathtaking view of Alabama sunsets, bagpipes at sunset, world class food at Brock's and amazing golf. Staff is courteous and extremely professional. Rooms are well furnished and certainly above average in comparison to comparably priced hotels. It is a bit off the path from the Interstate, providing a quiet respite from the hustle of the city traffic. I have stayed here on many occasions and feel it is one of the best hotels in Alabama.

Called to book spa services and the lady that answered the phone Lorene or morene something of the nature was so rude I told her nevermind, I'll go elsewhere. You would think if I'm trying to spend 500 with a spa, the place would have better service.

The property is fantastic, but my expectations were not met. If this were a fairfield or courtyard, I would have given them 4-5 stars, but this is a Ren, and I expected more.

I'm a platinum member, and my room preferences say, "high floor." I was put on the 4th of 6 floors. Is this a high floor? I was only staying for 1 night. How difficult could it have been to put me on a higher floor? I'm a platinum member - shouldn't my priorities be at the top of their list? I completed a mobile check-in, but my check-in folio/key cards were not printed at check-in. I received a mobile alert saying my room was ready. Typically when this happens, my keys have been made and my room set aside. Not this time. The front desk clerk looked for my keys, came back empty handed and searched her computer for me. This took a minute or so - typical check in. I was hoping she was looking for an upgrade for me. This is a Ren, so they probably have lots of suites or rooms with cool balconies/views (they obviously do from the outside). Instead I got a standard room on the 4th floor. When i got to my room, there were cookies, lemonade, and a note waiting for a different guest (there were personalized notes and a letter for the other guest). After taking a bite of one of the cookies, I called the front desk to let them know I was checked into the wrong room. The front desk told me that I wouldn't need to change rooms, and that someone would be up to collect the letter (and perhaps the cookies and lemonade? Not sure...). I waited for 20 minutes or so, and no one came. I figured I can't wait all night for a clerk, so I went down to the pool. I assumed someone from the front desk would just go in my room and retrieve the items for the other guest. When i came back up, the items were still there, and no one came to get them. Not a big deal, I like cookies and lemonade too. But it begs the question: Where were my cookies and lemonade? Did some other guest get cookies and lemonade addressed to me? I doubt it. Again, I'm a platinum member - shouldn't I be getting cookies and lemonade (for the record, I prefer cookies and milk, but this lemonade was actually quite delicious)?

When I woke up the next morning and attempted to shower, I was met with a constant burst of cold water. I tweaked the settings thinking it may be plumped backwards, but to no luck. This property may have old pipes, so I let it run for probably another 5 minutes (not an exaggeration) - I was getting luke-warm water at this point. This was at 5:45am, so surely I mustn't be the first person pumping hot water through the building? I decided to hedge my bets and turn the hot water on in the tub, and the sink. I let these run for about 1 minute. Realizing I was going to have to take a coldish shower this morning, I took a deep breath and got in. After another minute or so, the shower DID warm up, but it honestly took somewhere between 5-10 minutes of running the hot water to get a passing shower temperature. Very bizarre.

I got dressed, went to the restaurant for breakfast, and waiting by the sign that says, "Please see hostess for seating" for probably 5 minutes with no one around. It was probably 6:40ish at this point, and there were 2 other parties eating breakfast in the dining room. I gave up waiting, and finally decided to seat myself. At this point, I made eye-contact with a couple of the restaurant workers, and someone finally came over to greet me and seat me. It ended up being my server. She was very nice and prompt after that - but getting a seat took longer than it should have - especially with a big sign telling me NOT to seat myself. After this snafu, the breakfast was INCREDIBLE. The food was excellent for a buffet, complete with an omelette station. Everything was fresh and delicious. The breakfast itself made me want to plan another trip to b-ham.

The checkout was fine and uneventful. I did not receive a printed folio under my door like i'm accustomed (and prefer) to.

Overall, the property was very beautiful, but they have some things to clean up.

Room and facilities were absolutely gorgeous, but the food...
You go to the restaurants, the bar, or order room service and prepare to suffer from cold food on top of the expected sticker shock. I'd LOVE to know why they charge so much for food and can't seem to get it to a table in the clubhouse or up to a room before it is ice cold. I'm willing to bet it would have been delicious if it had been hot.

Ross Bridge: if you're going to charge gourmet prices, why don't you see if you can get the food out hot! Just saying...

We just had our worst hotel experience by far at the Ross Bridge. We arrived late, exhausted and ready to relax, and looking forward to enjoying the resort. When we arrived they informed us they gave our room away to a large group staying at the property. They sent us 25 minutes to downtown Birmingham at a significantly lesser property in the middle of the night. They completely ruined our plans and offered little to help. Cannot express how disappointed we are.

Love staying here. Been here twice and both weeks I have had clean rooms and great service from the entire staff. Pool is clean and hopefully if you go at 5pm around the pool area is a set of bag pipe players they are very good! All in all good value for the golf resort.

We have stayed at Ross Bridge several times without any issue. This past weekend was beyond subpar due to one employee, Ian Chwatuk. We were spending the weekend at the hotel with another family so I called ahead of time to request conjoining rooms and was told this wouldn t be an issue. We get there to check in, and Ian went above and beyond to make sure that everything was as difficult as possible. Our rooms were on two different floors and opposite sides of the hotel. We asked to move, and Ian told us that the hotel was sold out and there was nothing he could do. Funny thing, we ended up having to move rooms THREE times due to the inability to give us a room with two beds and a tub to bath our two-year-old. Super disappointed in our experience and the shadow cast on the otherwise excellent staff due to one power-hungry, incompetent employee that ruined our stay.

The check in experience was odd in that they wanted to charge the card again. The staff did not seem particularly nice, just "doing their job" professional....but no welcoming politeness behind it. There was a charge for Wifi.... It was a conference! And the room seemed understocked.... not enough shampoo, no shower cap, no microwave, not enough glasses..... We also had a dirty pillowcase....
For the area and price, I was not impressed.

The grounds and surround area is gorgeous at this hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean. It is a slight drivr from downtown but its a very nice drive though a few small towns that you can find some neat antique stores and good mom and pop restaurants. The pool and surrounding area behind the pool looked amazing and driving around looking at the homes here was also a nice treat. Would definitely come back!!

I have stayed here multiple times, but my stay this past weekend was awful. We arrived at 4:00 for check in, and was told our room wasn't ready. The lady that checked is in couldn't tell us why or didn't even apologize. She was very RUDE. After waiting 30 minutes, I finally asked to speak to the manager. The manager all of a sudden had a room ready for us, but didn't offer to comp us anything. We were told she would contact us later once she looked into the situation, but NEVER heard from her. When we finally made it to our room it was HOT and not super clean. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN MANAGEMENT AND THE SERVICE. We will not be back here.

Nice hotel located just south of Birmingham Alabama. Easy access to amenities. Hotel provides a nice place to relax and enjoy the area. Room was very accommodating and spacious. Staff was helpful and courteous. Definitely a place we would stay again. Next time I hope to enjoy the golf it looks like it would be great.

This place is beautiful. I wish they would have bakes with bake chairs for mom and toddlers .... we had to walk to look around because they couldn't help is. Other ways it would have been the perfect place for me and my busy toddler who loves bake rides.

Our honeymoon night...they forgot the honeymoon champagne and strawberries and instead gave us one candy bar-classy. There was a large wedding party from another festivity-people bringing in hot plates and all kind of stuff-again, I was like-where are we?. I love Ross Bridge and have stayed there for other events and it had always received great service in the past. But on our wedding night-literally the people next door were throwing furniture, banging on the walls, having a huge party and then it got way too rowdy. Called the front desk twice. No apology was given, no discount. Miserable experience. Disappointed in customer/front desk service.

This was our second trip to Ross Bridge. The room was good, but we were very disappointed with the service. My wife tried to book a massage but was ignored. The man at the spa seemed to be annoyed that she asked for an opening. This was followed by lackluster service at the bar. The staff didn't seem to have customer experience as a priority. Most everyone seemed bothered to wait on us. Not the best look!

The rate for RSA employees was not honored because I checked in on their app. The app was sent to me as email about keeping safe during COVID-19. Once I checked in, I was locked in at the higher rate....go figure. The lady at the desk was no help, borderline rude. I got the feeling this happened a lot and they were coached on what to say. Then, I got an Old Fashioned in the bar....and it was definitely not an old fashioned. They don t tell you, but there is a huge up charge for alcohol. That one drink was 40.00. You read the right. It had sprite in it and was red. Definitely not an old fashioned and it tasted awful. Room was comfortable. Clean. But it cost me $100 more than I was expecting. If you drink on premises, make sure you drink beer. It s over priced too, but it s not $40 a drink.
