Good location as it is near food stalls and Aeon mall. Feel welcomed upon reaching because of their great front desk service. Rooms are clean as expected. Amenities needed are all there to use. Overall great experience.

I think the environment is good, but when I used the afternoon buffet with my friends (VIP) yesterday, especially the food was good, but it was necessary to improve the "snacks" in your store. It was not as good as the outside store.
The room is pretty clean and decent though this is not a new hotel in town. The breakfast spread on the ground floor was awesome. I wanted to shout out to the friendly restaurant staffs/chefs on the ground floor, we had a great breakfast this morning.
Great hospitality overall though we had a bad experience yesterday on 16th floor executive lounge. The lounge manager and staffs are not friendly, a real big contrast comparing to the ground floor, hoping that the hotel management will look into this seriously.

Nice and helpful service staff although the buffet was below average for the price. Also the ice slushie machine dispensed out a piece of plastic which was extremely shocking.
Good stay but the premium rooms at pool level were a little awkwardly placed. If it begins to rain, good luck getting into your room as thats the only entrance is through the open pool side. Rooms were clean and premium and service was great.

Johor Bahru is a small place with not many nice hotels. Renaissance JB is a Decent hotel in Johor Bahru... Renaissance is a Premium Category of Hotels of Marriot Chain... However this hotel does not looks like a Premium category hotel.. It is not like other marriot properties... it requires some improvements... Quality of food also need improvements... staff are polite and willing to help... Value wise it is not too expensive....
awesome hotel. The bar need to be more professional. I was at the pool, wanted to have a drink and the guy told me that i need to go down to show my member card. Went to the bar, showed the member card, ordered my drink and they asked me to carry my drink by myself. They don't even have a bottle opener. The guy was searching all over for it.
Other than distance of this hotel to the top malls in JB, we had no complains whatsoever - rooms were spacious with comfy beds.
buffet dinner 2 days ago, bit curious why most foods taken a bit sweet. Worst part my father needed wheelchair since he's had bad knee and aged 75..wheel chair dont have foot rest, the staffs told me thats what they have. Another one broken. So whats the purpose having wheelchair. My father had to lift his foot all they way. Im a marriot member. Renai KL far better than here..Seriously..

Not very fair for hotel to charge a full day rate when we get in at 3pm n check out 12pm. Which is 3 hours short of 24 hrs.

Nice location, good variety of food around. Huge breakfast buffet spread and nice amenities in the hotel. However, hotel room have poor noise isolation. I am able to hear the next door neighbour kids screaming.

Love it here. The staffs were friendly and helpful, the services were on point, and they got good sense of humor too. Had my breakfast here and I was really really happy with all the selections provided for the guests. The room was lit! Loved it, how minimalistic it was. Highly recommended . +1!

The room is spacious and nice (it is 5star hotel anyway). The breakfast has wide variety of foods. If you are in club level guests you can get dinner and drinks in the club lounge as well. Have a nice view at the high floor. Furthermore, the staffs are friendly and very good at assisting the guests. Only few problems we had regarding the wifi and the key card that took some time to fix and ruin my partner's mood a bit. Overall, it is nice to stay since they got many restaurants nearby and you can try different restaurant everyday. If you are smoker, please remember to not smoking in the room or any place inside the hotel. You have to smoke outside.
Changed room twice since guarantee was unavailable and they gave me an occupied room. Overall okay but then amenities are faulty/fragile and wifi is wonky on some of my family member's devices.

Great hotel with super friendly & professional front desk & restaurant staffs. We enjoyed our 3d2n stay so much as our Platinum membership was very much recognized here. In additional, they have the best breakfast buffet spread in Jb. Our daughter also went to their pool and had so much fun there. Special thanks to their front desk Supervisor Snow and her colleagues for all the kind arrangements. Can't wait to be back to stay at your good hotel
My first stay ...Hotel is quite good. Breakfast buffet variety is superb. Service is not bad. Price is good as it comes with buffet n much cheaper than Amari hotel ( which we frequent) which is almost double the price surprisingly n no breakfast.
Only thing is the location... a distance away from checkpoint n I need to take Grab to major malls at jb.
There is a pasar malam at night next to the mall.
On the second morning of our stay saw some wild dogs running beside our hotel so do not dare to explore the surrounding.
Ordered room service n the portions served are huge.. haha... cannot finish...

The location bothers me alot as it is within a suburban neighborhood and is hard to find. Had to make a few big U-turns before finally arriving. Almost impossible to find it if you don't use a GPS Apps like Waze of Google Maps. Apart from that, most things were alright.
The lobby wasn't very impressive and so was the swimming pool arena but the rooms were good! There are several types of rooms and we took 2 connected ones - a twin bed and a king. Both rooms were large and well appointed. The modern interior design style helped to remind you that you are in a city after all. The beds were comfortable as you can expect from a Renaissance brand hotel. All rooms except suites will have hand shower and rain shower which was awesome but only the latter will have a bathtub. In my opinion this hotel is great for a businessman and professional but may not be all that inclusive for family with small children.
Staffs there were very attentive and friendly which provided us great ease while we were staying there.

One hour drive from Airport to hotel. Property is maintained well. However customer service is slow. Being vegetarian, very limited choices in food. Ordered grilled sandwich and they gave without grilling, even after feedback no action so not happy.
