Amazing resort with three big pools and beautiful garden. Room condition is always beyond expectation.

Stayed there for four nights. It was absolutely not enough. Very good facilities with very helping staff. Restaurants are amazing. Ginja may not lived to its name, for cooking maybe from the students of the cooking school. Other restaurants are just be the closer and great ones. Plenty of activities will make sure that you don't need to go anywhere else.
Want to really talk about the Yoga class. Very helpful. Very different.

This was essentially my wife and Mine's early anniversary. It was a dream. The place is right on the beach, and while you aren't supposed to swim there it was no less beautiful. There are a lot of families, but that's not a problem at least not for us. The pool selection was cool, and we didn't even realize that there was a third pool. The pools do close around 8 pm, which was kind of weird, but oh well.

The food is expensive, which is to be expected for a resort, but tasty. The pastry selection was quite good too. Not far from the resort, within walking distance, is a cheaper shopping center. Food was excellent, and much more affordable when compared to the resort.

You won't regret staying here. Beautiful grounds, romantic setting if you want to honeymoon or anniversary here, but also great for families

I have stayed at resorts in over 40 countries and I have to say this is one of the most beautiful locations I have ever seen. It isn't Patong, exactly the opposite with refined elegance and a quiet environment. The beach is usually almost deserted and pool areas not crowded. The restaurants are first class and priced high for Thailand but not by international standards. Perfect for a honeymoon but be prepared to drive quite some distance if looking for trips out to Phi Phi or evening entertainment.

The grounds are gorgeous! A true resort. Even though our room was dated it was large and had a very nice terrace. The bathroom had been updated. Make sure to ask about the location of you room. Our room was VERY far from the elevator. This was like paradise. The food is delicious and the staff is very nice. We went to two restaurants: thai and japanese which were absolutely delicious. The staff in both restaurants were fabulous. Very friendly and warm. There is also a deli on the premises that was very nice and moderately priced. Highly recommend this gorgeous resort.

I have been visiting here over a decade, latest visit confirmed that the property still on the top notch condition. On the past few years there were more flies while there are still some but a lot less now.

Had stayed here before and now, the hotel is nice, it s old but they have Maintained it very nicely. Their property is very big if you compare to anantara.

There Lobby is amazing, staff very nice, kind and cooperative.

This place is far from the city, nice, quite relaxing. Due to that there is not much eating options beside the hotel itself.

There is 7/11 and some restaurants in turtle Village but it s about 10 minutes walk however you can ask the hotel to drop you in the Go cart, coming back you have to manage.

KFC/Pizza hut/McDonald s have no delivery there.

Overall it an amazing place for people who wants to relax and stay out of the busy city and enjoy the amazing evenings.

Just what you would expect from a JW Marriott.
The concierge was over the top helped with everything! Talk to Oui that gale is the best and her remediation are spot on. Best breakfast in the world.

I love, love the place, in the resort alone there were lots of things to do, the breakfast buffet was unbelievable. Great service, Great attention always smiling and eager to help. I completely recomend it. But try to go off Summer season, it can get so hot,even the water is warm and not breeze to cool you down.

A wonderful stay. The staff are very accommodating. The staff in the lobby can organise anything for you. Day trips, taxis, restaurant bookings ect. Mai Khao is a great beach and the pools are wonderful to swim in. Only negative is the price of eating within the hotel but there are plenty of cheaper places nearby. I strongly reccomend that guest take the time to learn the staff members names and pick up a few worda in Thai. Its makes for a much more comfortable accomodating experience. Keep in mind that most tours are 45min to 1hr from here but is a much more peaceful location to stay compared to in the city. Definitely will be back.

Nature n morning can see the sky blue. Beach is beautiful

Beautiful resort, close to airport with great accommodations and amenities, fabulous food and delicious tropical drinks. The flaw was the littered sand and unswimmable beach, just leave bathing suit at home. Staff very attentive and responsive to your needs.

My friends invite me to stay there and wow... what a lovely place... the pool are so big and everything available there. 5+

My husband and I stayed at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, Mai Khao for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it esp. our room. The room was spacious with all amenities and we loved the creative towel display.
From the moment we entered the resort the service had been flawless. All the staffs were incredibly friendly and helpful. The best part was when we tried Cucina(Italian) restaurant. The service was impeccable. Chef Dev introduced us to different red wines and we had so much fun tasting it. We would like to give special thanks to Chef Dev and Chef Nam who delivered an awesome service which was fun. In fact, for our next day dinning we didn t go elsewhere but Cucina it was. I and my husband would also like to give thanks to the entire Cucina team Chef Laa, Pook, Nam, Jame, Game, Kean, Dev, Yo, Lena for making our dinner date memorable and also serving a complimentary dessert specially made for honeymoon couples.
We highly recommend staying at JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa, Mai Khao if you are staying in Phuket- you won t regret. Their service is second to none.

This is going to be quite a difficult review. The overall hotel is beautiful and for the most part the service is fantastic. Unfortunately the location is far from the Phuket town (expect 1800-2000THB for taxis, return-trip), but Mai Khao beach is beautiful and calm. The waiters and bartenders are at your service and make the whole JW experience worthwhile. On the other hand quite a few imperfections don t allow me to leave 5 stars. Having spent vacWeations in other J.W. Marriott locations this one has me a bit frustrated.

On our arrival day, we were the only ones at the check-in desk however after 20 minutes in our room I had to call reception to ask when our luggage was going to get to the room. Having booked a "double or king bed room" we received a double Queen room, not the best when heading for a romantic week in Phuket. The staff suggested to join the two beds together which we accepted not wanting to make a fuss.

We then enjoyed pool-side drinks and dinner at the Ginja restaurant which was fantastically good (expect around 5000THB for two people starter, main and one dessert with a bottle of wine).

Unfortunately we went for the teppanyaki at the Japanese restaurant where the prices are VERY high, we ordered one lobster, one surf and turf with a bottle of white wine. had to ask for lobster tools (of which we only got one set...) and then had to ask again for some wet towels at the end of our meal. NOT the service I expect after leaving nearly 8000THB for two people.

Don t get me wrong this is a beautiful place to stay if you re looking for some pool time and cocktail sipping, however it s just a shame that it never felt like what I had experiences at other J.W. Marriott locations.

Amazing Resort, with excelent decoration and amenities.

Cons: The food is extra expensive, too much regarding price-quality ratio, but you have other options at Turtle Village Market 5 min away (free shuttle).

A very good 5 star hotel on a beautiful stretch of beach. Quite far from any form of nightlife and tourist attractions. But if you're looking for a peaceful vacation this is ideal.

Great service and recommendations as to what to do. The grounds were stunning.

Friendly staff, great cleaning services, excellent facilities and great rooms.

The staff was exemplary, the facilities were pristine and gorgeous, and the location was great. I liked the quiet and peaceful environment there. I met so many wonderful staff there who were so gracious and I truly enjoyed my stay there. It is truly one of the best resorts I have stayed at.

The ambience is just perfect - quiet, elegant and friendly.

Exceptional hotel if you're looking for a luxurious, no-worries accommodation. The staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful when it comes to fulfilling any of your special wishes (needed an office with printing and scanning urgently, hurt myself on the beach and was professionally treated).

Food in the top-class restaurants is exceptional, so are the prices which we found understandable. There are plenty of options to save costs including a small supermarket, superb breakfast and small complimentary treats served throughout the day.

As we were traveling with a 4-year old there was nothing left to ask for: The staff at the children's club take utmost care of your kids with many, many activities to be enjoyed. Thanks to the resort's size it does not have the usual negative side effects of a children-friendly hotel when it comes to relaxation or quality of services.

Great. We stayed with points over Christmas.

Must dos:
1. The gym is good here. Locker rooms have spas. Sauna, hot pool, cold pool, etc.
2. Breakfast at the Marriott Cafe. If you time this right...11am or so you can make it brunch. Note: if you are platinum they will comp this for you. They didn't tell us this when we checked in so we didn't go there the first couple of days.

We were really impressed with the level of service and the facilities. It was clean and well manicured. The pools were great! We found there to be enough food choices to satisfy a range of budgets.

The buffet breakfast is great and if you time it right, 11am or so it's more like brunch.

Lots of kids. Very kid friendly.

Amazing and spacious resort that is so easy to get lost. Service and amenities are impeccable, but it is what anyone would expect from the brand. Only drawback is its location, as even though it is close to the airport there is not much to do in the immediate area.

Hugeeeee property facing the beach .. loads of pools to swim in.. a bit far from the patong market but it's close to turtle Bay, so that's good.

Getting a bit worn out - could definitely use some work. The AC in the room was worn out and having trouble keeping the room cool. The windows are all single-pane (which is madness in this climate). The drapes are worn and torn. The shower was missing the vinyl stripping and would leak all over the floor. The slide at the kids pool is broken and needing repair (there is a bouncy-castle with a slide into the pool in the meantime; however, the door is not properly secured). Several decorative elements around the pool are damaged and sometimes loose. There's also a drain at one end of the kids pool that sits proud of the bottom and when I hopped in, I hit my ankle on it and got a good bruise from it. Any snacks and sundries cost at least 2x what they cost at the market about an 8 min walk down the road. The kids club is definitely showing it's age and full of obstacles for little ones to run into. The beach is fairly quiet, but the sand is not great - kind of like coarse cornmeal.

It was amazing! The wifi was easy to connect to, the food was sooooooo good, and the service is top notch!

This hotel is excellent! We get this spacious apartment rentals with free WiFi, full kitchens, master suites with soaking tubs, washer/dryers and furnished balcony. With huge lined up of activity daily surely you'll not be bored. Highly recommend for retired Americans/Eurpeans and other Hi-So people peaceful and greenery environment that every moment of your stay 100% you will love it!! The only thing is that make sure you're really rich Lol cause far to go outside and shuttle have limited boundaries and since it's humid almost lazy to go anywhere you will have your dining here and minimum of $100 for every meal since we are 3 but this is a real paradise that you really wouldn't ask for anything.

Beautiful hotel right at the Mai Khao Beach. I would recommend it to people looking relaxation or to parents with kids.
I would not recommend it for people of younger ages. It's pretty boring at night even with the hotel almost fully booked. There's also little to nothing to do in the area aside from a few restaurants.

Very beautiful hotel near beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. Like the swimming pool and separate kid section...my daughter enjoyed it alot. I really liked the round the clock shuttle service to turtle market. Staff is also very helpful and polite. This hotel provided a great start to my trip to thailand

Beautiful Resort. We book the one bedroom suite with outdoor whirlpool. It also has a indoor jacuzzi.
Staff are very friendly n make you feel welcome. Best time to go is from nov to april. Then you have the beautiful beach front

Great place with couples and families, tons of things to do in the resort. Kayaking, biking, Thai boxing, snorkeling.

Slightly dated but adds to the beach theme. Very reasonably priced especially near off-season. Keep an eye out for beach current warning signs. I ended up having to save a Russian mother and kids from drowning

The rooms were large, extremely clean and comfortable. Friendly and professional staff throughout. Right on the beach with multiple restaurants on the property. Breakfast is very good with many choices and we looked forward to it every day. This location is great for business, couples or families and is close to the airport as well.

The best way to unwind in Phuket , with its own private beach the JW Marriott resort and spa and the Marriott vacation club provides superb amenities by the beach .

JW Phuket and all other Marriott associates are so first class. Compared to some of the vacation resorts around the Mai Khao area, JW and the other Marriott Vacation Club resorts beat the surrounding ones - hands down. Everything (and we mean truly EVERY THING less the villa itself) is complimentary. We're talking round trip shuttles, all toiletries (including mouthwash), housekeeping, pool towel service, technical/engineering service, concierge service, food service... oh my, should I go on. The other surrounding nearby resort that have no affiliation with the Marriott brand pale in comparison. They'll give you a real good sales pitch, but are very sketchy with their delivery. Additionally, amenities at the JW and the other Marriott resorts abound... not at the neighboring, who boast about their very expensive villas.

Very nice resort. Food is great at the restaurants. Only drawback is that it is a bit far from the city.

Pool is good but beach is not as nice as Mai Kaoh Lak up the coast.

Huge holiday complex that encompasses 3 swimming pools, multiple villa cluster and too many rooms (I got lost on my second day in). Overall great interior architecture that gives strong holiday vibe.

5 stars all around. This is an excellent resort to enjoy a vacation. The staff is very attentive, the amenities are great (large pools, gym with steam and sauna, volleyball, outdoor areas to sit and relaxed etc), and the food was amazing. We had come here after leaving a previous hotel. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

By far the best hotel you ll ever go. Staff and people are amazing, like no other. Everyone is polite, talkative and very outgoing! Food soooooo good I don t even know where to begin. Definitely have to try Grill restaurant, best food I ve ever had! Definitely a place I d come to again :)

Our go to favourite resort in Asia. Been going since about 2000 and the staff and villas are amazing. Just love the restless Andaman sea and the huge expanse of beach extending miles either way at Mai Khao.

My favourite place so far. Everything was excellent - room, facilities, staff, breakfast, environment.

The reaort is awesome. I had very important friends in my life. I am very happy to visit here again and again. Hospitality is so nice and warm and we can enjoy every time.
Specially my journey at Phuket has started playing tennis with Nash, professional tennis coach 10 years ago. Friends are treasure even far away a thousand mile.

Great place to be. Relaxing, beautifully landscaped, friendly and helpful staffs. Rooms are pretty standard. Decent size balcony to sit down for a drink and taking in the view. Seaview rooms, are recommended. In house restaurants are pricey, a short walk (or a buggy ride), Will take you to a few nearby restaurants options. Great for family retreat.

This is the nicest Marriott Resort we've ever stayed at. All the staff from the front desk to restaurants, housekeeping and gardeners, everyone is so friendly and helpful. This place really knows how to make you feel like home. And I love the reflection pool in the lobby. We sat there every night after dinner just to relax before going back to our room. The food is wonderful. The facility is great, there are several pools for you to choose to relax. Even pool service is wonderful, cold towels, cold drinks and fresh fruits. Of course, the Mai Khao beach is just steps away.

I have stayed at the Marriott Mai Khao on several occasions over the last few years, and every stay has been a great, relaxing experience. The hotel is stylish and comfortable, the food varied and plentiful and the beautiful setting just a short walk to the stunning uncrowded beach.

This property is beautiful with multiple pools and a variety of food venues for you to choose. Casual, fine dining and room service were all excellent. They have offerings for every taste. Thai food. Steak and seafood, Italian food (try the option to let the chief pick your meal you will not be disappointed. We ate in every venue and the service was unbelievable from the staff. Great beach and a location that is not overcrowded.

Quiet and far away from the hustle and bustle of patong and Phuket.

Wonderful place for vacation.This is an amazing place to stay, comfortable rooms, great service, special thank you to Lubov from the reception desk she is an amazing host, very professional, extremely polite and welcoming person. I would specifically recommend to anyone to visit the spa salon at this resort. With my husband we had a couple massage and it was an unforgettable experience, everything was perfect the quality of the service and the ambiance! Thanks to all people working at this resort for our wonderful vacation time.

Wonderful service and amazing atmosphere, we were very impressed with the room and various pools and other amenities. Only drawback was distance to lower part of the island and that the pools closed shortly after sunset.

Amazing location, great pools, for all tastes (adults only, kids friendly, with sun, with shade, and with a bar inside!). Food is delicious, service is fantastic. Very nice people, always willing to help. Kids zone quite good, for kids and teenagers.

The resort is modern, has many activities organized. Great selection of restaurants that satisfy everyone. The kids enjoyed the pool and the beach. The location of the resort is 20min from the airport.

I recommend this resort for honeymooners, anniversary ceremonies or family vacations.

But there was a vacation counter with two or three ladies trying to convince me to attend that 90min presentation which i don t want, every time i cross by they call me and trying to convince me again which it bothers me.

My partner and I visited this wonderful resort in November 2019, and our stay was perfection from start to finish. The service was impeccable, the yoga class I did was fantastic, the restaurants and bars we visited were great, the pools were beautiful, and the grounds were immaculate! One of the most special aspects for us was the lovely, non-crowded beach access. We read up on this while there, and were thrilled to note that anything beyond the resort is essentially national park, and the only way to access it is through the resort; no wonder things were so pristine! Oh, and the on-site turtle conservation program was really cool, too - we enjoyed the feeding session. The resort is a bit 'out of the way' if you were trying to access the busy city part of Phuket I suppose (though I'm sure tours could be organised), but for us it was absolutely perfect, and only a short Local Taxi ride from the airport! We'll be back for sure!

loved the resort... had a private beach with two different pools as well. Breakfast was amazing.. The view of the resort from reception gives you the luxury feeling with a pond in between yhe beach and entrance... all over the feeling was rich and a relaxing stay.

Nice relaxed atmosphere close to the top of Phuket. Excellent service and great landscaping a well cared for property. Highly recommended.

Stay in a 2 bedroom villa and try to eat off campus. Best Marriott vacation club location in the world. Only US one comes close in Lake Shore Reserve in Orlando.

Large rooms suitable for 6 persons or so. Fully equipped kitchen, washer & dryer. Excellent Kids Club! Second time here and will definitely come back again.

Use Klook App to purchase all your tickets and SIM cards at discount prices before you go there. Rent a car, much cheaper this way to move around.

It was okay the views were good and the staff were polite the only thing that let the experience down was that I booked a certain room but on my visit I wasn't given that room I was given an alternative which didn't have a nice view in comparison and I kept asking when that room will be available but they said they don't know which is weird because you do know when people will check out. Plus this wasn't a last minute holiday it was booked two months in advance now how they gave my room to someone else amazes me but other than that place is nice to stay really nice family hotel.

Kids pavilion, fitness club, spa and beach massage adds cherry to the cake.
Had a lovely stay of 3 nights 4 days listening to the sound of waves, relaxing with cold breeze.
This property adds to the MUST DO list.

This place was amazing. Staff are very friendly and will help you with pretty much anything. The property has 3 or 4 pools, 4 or more restaurants, and is beach facing. It also has a bar in the main pool. 15 minutes from the airport but about 25min to the center of the city. Not much is around the area, but many options of hotel restaurants/bars.

Beautiful hotel, with amazing staff and service. Hotel offers nice bars, restaurants, swimming pools, a beautiful quiet beach and many more. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the hotel rooms... Honestly we were very disappointed when we walked in. The rooms are of course quite big, clean and well equipped however they could use some renovation as they look quite out of date and not like a room in a 5 star hotel.

Went there for a cooking class which was great. I did notice the place was in need for a renovation, it shows its age. The place where we did the cooking however was in pretty good shape.

Facilities and rooms are not bad better than Marriott Mai Khao but staffs can be much nicer. I don t know why staffs here look so irritated and unfriendly. Put off to sit outside terrace on a chair covered with birds poo.
