The rooms are nice and service is friendly. The location is convenient but parking is really expensive. They also charge $6 for a small bottle of water. Save your money and go to Bartell down the street for snacks and drinks.

Stayed here with my husband for one night for a "staycation". The location is great, close to Capital Hill and downtown. We walked to dinner and easily took inexpensive cab/Uber rides to our other destinations. The outside has scaffolding on it, but the inside was all very new and updated. The room showed a little bit of wear and tear but nothing that affected our stay. We were on the 15th floor and had a great view of the mountains, stadiums, sky line, Puget Sound and Lake Union. Beautiful corner room. Staff was all very helpful and polite.
Complaints: I told my husband I was only hoping for 3 things out of our night away from the kids - relative quiet, a comfy bed and black out shades. Two out of three I got. The bed was comfy, the room was quiet but the curtains did not block the light. Summer in Seattle means we woke up at 5am with the sun. Would really have appreciated better curtains in the bedroom.
We also we to the R Bar on the 28th floor. We were told it would be open until midnight. At 1030 we were told to finish our beers, it was last call, they then began shutting down around us and turning people away. It was a minor thing but it made us feel rushed and like we were inconveniencing them.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel to others coming to Seattle and looking for a downtown location.

Holiday Inn is better than this place. $48/night parking is insane. Also, don't drive in the parking garage with anything but an SUV or you'll scrape it up. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

If I have to visit Seattle again for work, I am definitely staying here. Amenities were fantastic, room was clean and quiet, and location was unbeatable. If you have to work closer to the water, be sure to be ready to walk up those steep Seattle hills though on your way home :-)

Great facility. I love the room and the amenities. One of the best gyms that I've seen in a hotel. The lounge on floor 28 has delicious food options during the week. Renaissance did a great job hosting the event I was attending as well. Great customer service all around!

Easy to like a hotel that is newly renovated and staffed well. Also a better experience if you maintain a Gold Status or higher with one of their partners. Platinum is better (since the merger) because you receive free access to the Concierge Lounge. This includes a breakfast buffet, coffee, tea, water, sodas and snacks all day, and a small early dinner buffet on weeknights. So worth it to purchase 24-hour access to the lounge! It will allow use of the lounge for one day, and you can bring in one guest with you. Just ask the desk if it's available.
Staff is friendly and helpful; common areas are clean and confortable. Very nice stay.

I stopped by the Renaissance hotel to have a quick business lunch with a colleague. I found the staff to be very prompt and professional. The service was great! I ordered the pastrami sandwich and was not disappointed. Portions were plentiful and the prices very reasonable. I would certainly eat here again.

I visit this location for work on a weekly basis. The room is always clean nd the staff friendly. Room service has been good as well. The best part is the location, right off the interstate so you save 10 minutes drikng rush hour. The lounge on the 28th floor is great and fully stocked with snacks. The view is great when the sun is out.

I'm an employee of another hotel in the city, there was a plumbing issue at my house yesterday so we needed to last second book into a hotel overnight. The front desk woman was super nice and helpful! Room was clean and nice, no complaints, would happily stay again!

THEY CHARGE FOR MEDIOCRE WIFI. No free wifi in the hotel, so beware if you want to use your laptop because you don't live in the 90s, probably around when this hotel was built. Otherwise hotel was fine, not anything special but good.
