Be very careful before sending a child to RecPlex. Our child has behavioral issues, and we worked very closely with staff and management for two years, generally with success. Then, after one incident, in which no-one was hurt, they expelled our child. No warning, no meeting, no process, just an immediate expulsion. If we did not have alternative afterschool care this would have been a disaster.

Be warned: one bad day, and they can expel your child without warning. Based on our experience, they are more than happy to do so. If you need safe, stable, secure care for your child, steer clear of RecPlex.

Excellent facility. Well maintained with attentive staff.

My wife and I got a new membership in late June 2018. We also signed up for individual private trainer sessions. We were fortunate to do it with Pauly. I have increased my training sessions from 2 times a week to 3 times a week. Pauly is great her focus on form has provided excellent results. I have range of motion limitations from past injuries and she had come up with alternate exercises to work each muscle group. I have had numerous health club memberships over the past 40 years and this is the first time I actually use it and look forward to working out. Thank you Pauly

Overall great place for a family membership, sports, swimming, and hockey, or just a gym to go to. Decent pricing for the entire family to enjoy any activity. This place is one of a kind.

Would not let me in with my folding chair.have a documented VA disability for back and va card so i guess i will watch my kids volleyball tournament until i cant feel my legs thanks rec plex

Great place for working out and staying active. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Great Gym, however really could use a pre-weighted curl bars. Just not enough bars for members to use when the weight area is busy. This would be a great addition to the gym.

My little girls do the sports at recplex and I appreciate the diversity of their competition. They are involved in Co-Ed and we enjoy the events.

Worst customer service ever. The Director does not even call you back. They give you mis information and then do not honor their mistake. I was a member for 3 years. They only treat new members well.

This place is a rip off ! Their site says it's a $50 deposit for a 12 person pool party room. They send an email stating you have to pay another $55 for their pizza, soda, and 12 cupcakes. Then 4 days before my daughters party they "accidentally" send me an email asking if I was canceling for $50 fee or rebooking the party for another $50...what ? I call and it's never an answer from the rental coordinator Julie Ann Beth. Then I call the front desk and explain the situation and they tell me I owe $205.73. Come to find out the party cost $140 plus $55 for food/ drinks and the $50 deposit is not included because you receive it back at the end. Their site doesn't state the price of their parties. Nor do they send an email stating the balance. They only sent me an email stating a $0 balance because of the $50 deposit. As I stated before they then sent a $55 fee for food. Never stated ANYTHING a about the party costing $260 altogether for ONLY 12 ppl that includes myself and the parents ! Everyone else has to pay $7.50 ! Then they don't accommodate their mistake. Their customer service SUCKS ! They're too over priced !

Whoever designed the parking at this place should be fired. They host multiple tournaments at once and then ticket cars. When there is no where to park but the street. Then they have handicap parking in a remote lot? Terrible

Staff is rude, unhelpful! Took Archery class, overpacked, limit was 16 there were 20 with 2 instructors. One day canceled with no refund.

This amazing facility is a true blessing to the whole community. Its very family friendly, and offers our whole family of 6 amazing opportunities. You can skate, swim, run, play racquetball, basketball, and even try scuba diving! Not to mention the other work out facilities. I learned as an adult how to play hockey here even!

I called the party schedling line four separate times to 2 weeks and left messages every single time. Not once did I get a return phone call. My daughter wanted to have her Birthday party here so badly. I m disappointed to have received such lousy customer service.

I had to call the front desk registration.
My son was so mistreated by the front desk female personnel.
My son registered for the basketball league today 11/29/18 and when he was asked a questions that he was unable to answer the front desk staff female decided to become rude and very short with him.
Yes my son after the 3rd barking question return the favor. I still think that if your position is in customer service than that is what you are asked to do. That's what you get paid for.
I called and I made sure that she understood, not my son.
Lastly if you don't respect people then why would your expectations be higher than what you have given?

Suggestion: I hope that my long conversation with her made her mad enough to remember my son and me.

Charging $15 to watch some 13 year olds play basketball, smh. Are they playing Giannas or something? And where's Pleasant Prairie's health inspector? The concession area isn't fit for raccoons.

If you're seeking a gym membership only and will hardly ever utilize other parts of the facility, RecPlex is overpriced for your needs. The strength equipment is crammed into one section. While they did upgrade the strength section, the space doesn't allow for multiple machines, so be prepared to wait.

Also, earlier this year, my husband was racially profiled because he was sitting in his car taking a call. Apparently their office staff believes that's "suspicious activity" and called the police on him. Then fabricated a story to the cops saying he had on a "hoodie" and was in his car for an hour. Both were false claims. The cop was really nice and helped us sort the story out. When we confronted the staff about their false accusations they then called the police again. Which actually worked in our favor because it was the same cop who came the first time. The manager never apologized for lying. We paid too much money to be harassed. At that point, I was ready to cancel my membership.

The final straw happened as I was cancelling my membership. I wasted time & gas cancelling in-person. The girl was very unhelpful. I asked to talk with the membership coordinator. They took down my information and never called back. I was trying to be proactive to avoid being held hostage another year. I DO NOT recommend this facility. The place is nice. The workers are BAD!

Rick who now instructs body combat needs to keep his power strike features away. Class is too slow now and not what was expected compared to past classes with Jessica.

This place is amazing for families. Awesome fitness center, water park, pool and tons of other activities for a very good price!

You would think if they wanted to justify charging $15 so I could watch my 13 year old daughter play basketball at this facilty that they could at least clean the place.

If you just use the facility for working out in the weights area, it s WAY over priced. Other gyms offer 24/7, hot towels, tanning, and many other perks for way less. Also, the parking rules for this price point is insane. I have to pay more to park in the regular parking lot ? It s especially annoying when they have an event going on every weekend, so gym goers have to deal with over parking for special events, when we should be parking up front and not paying extra. Nice facility, but the negatives outway the positives.

The Pleasant Prairie Rec Plex is the jewel of the village! It is a lively, well used place and a magnet for traffic and business to the village and the surrounding areas. I am willing to pay a little more for a facility that is clean, well maintained and offers just about any fitness activity you can imagine, providing variety and motivation to keep you on track towards your fitness goals. I also like that they make sure that no matter what tournament or meet is held at the facility, paying members will still have a place to park during their visit there.

the pool area is a great place for kids.. toddler friendly. had a picnic by the lake outside establishment. we really enjoyed the short getaway.

I love it here, friendly personel, excellent environment, I can do almost anything to get in shape, no issues!

This place is great! It has everything that you need, but I wish it didn't cost so much I mean it is owned by the city.

Its a nice run around the lake on their paved paths.

I ve only participated as a spectator for a youth basketball game. Admission was $7.00 and the game overall went well with the exception of the referee staff and the countless bad calls. The facility overall offers a lot of features and amenities.

Played hockey Friday night with the "Ankle Breakers"! It was a blast! This is a twin rink facility, and the ice by my standards is GREAT!!

It's bad because the lady told us u can come at the age of 13 without a adult and we went there and they rejected us at the front desk so we wasted a 20min drive there and back SMH

Basketball tourney cosr $5 to park and $15 per person to enter.

I like going here because there is more than just the pool. Most of the time everyone at the front desk is extremely nice and knowledgeable. I have only been in the swim area which seems to have a great number of life guards.

Top notch facilities and events. The triathlons they put on are world class.

Poor customer service and misleading membership information. We've been members since 2008 and cannot even get a call back from the Director of Memberships and Services nor the Business Manager so I finally have resorted to calling the Director of the Facility. Let's see if I get as call back from him??

Wow! This place is ridiculously awesome. I look forward to working out here every summer. The gym and pool/hot tub are so nice and well maintained.

Can do absolutely anything there fitness related. There s no excuse not to improve your physical wellness! Staff is conscientious and accommodating. Great facility!

Indoor space for gym, aquatics, walking/jogging track and other indoor sports. Physical Therapy, too. A full service ice arena. Plenty of outdoor space with walking trails, a small lake with boat rentals, picnic areas, a pavillion, baseball field. Childcare and children's learning center.

This place is horrible they still want to collect your money and send you to collections when there was covid-19 and i lost my job of course I'm going to pay my bill when I get my job back but they decided to send me to collections for $99.92 cents just

3 * 's because it's not cheap!! A day pass is $14 for a non resident. $10 for a resident of pleasant prairie. Nicely equipped but I just wanted to get a workout not move in ha ha

Have swim meets here frequently - though the air can sometimes be a little chlorine-y, it still is a very well maintained pool.

Facility is nice but they lean on it like a crutch. I've been at other gyms that offer hot towels and key cards for the lockers, the staff is usually ok with being irritated to help you.

Scheduling is a nightmare between knowing if and when the kids area is open, when you can swim in the water arena, and when big events are going on and you can't even get into the gym with one of the highest paid memberships in the area.

For a place that costs as much it would be nice to be able to enjoy the pool without massive crowds

Worst Ice Arena ever. It was very hot inside the south arena when I visited. The word ice is suppose to cold not 82 degrees I side the arena. The ice was starting to melt at the surface and considered very soft and very dangerous to skate on!!!!!

This facility was great. We had an AAU basketball tourney here. They had 8 courts going and it ran very smooth. Good job!

Son played a hockey game here. Fans are allowed to display pornographic signs and shout obsenities at the visiting team. Even with young children in attendence. Not cool.

Fantastic state-of-the-art facility! I love the Rec Plex, it just doesn t make sense to pay for a membership at any other facility when they have so much to offer! The staff is fantastic here and their ice arena is top notch! Definitely worth what you ll pay! Just keep a lookout for special offers on a membership, they usually have some really good deals once or twice a year.

I'm an amputee and amputee here the trainers treat me like a whole person. They don't treat me any different just because I'm at amputee. I love the people here I love the facility.
They have a variety of programs for free that you can choose from from aqua exercises to body pump body combat.
And the trainers will help you with the machines if you need they also have personal trainers available as well for small fee but it is worth it.

I was there for the Makers Faire exhibit. I loved it!

Rented pavilion for an event. Staff is always wonderful. However, even though signs are posted that private events are going on, several groups of people came in to the restrooms. One EXTREMELY rude man said he was a member and his son was going to use that bathroom. His son wasn't a child, he was a TEENAGER!!! VERY RUDE!

Great facilities, but the place really shines with the lessons and classes that they give and for youth. Look into fencing or racquetball if you want something cheap, interesting, and most importantly fun.

Myself, my wife and two kids have been members for 10 years. We pay over $100 per month. Me and my wife also purchased parking passes. I was just in a car accident where a driver ran into me and totaled my car. I tore the parking sticker off my windshield but it does not work. I went in to have it replaced. I told them the story which they could have cared less about. I spoke to three people and not one said anything about the accident like are you ok etc... furthermore they would NOT give me another parking pass. They wanted me to pay for it. This is not the first time it has been shown to me that at the recplex members come last. I feel that everytime I go there.

Need a permit to park close to the pool. Otherwise, plenty of parking across the street. Great view of the water. Facilities kept clean and stocked. Good overall experience.

Would be a 5 but need to get some more windex on the backboards. Still see my handprint from my 03 backboard slap on my main man Bucks Fanatic.

The facilities at the RecPlex are some of the best I have seen. Basketball courts, long course lap pool, indoor water park, Lake Andrea, and an ice rink round out the highlights. The membership fees are reasonable and the staff are kind with many clubs to join in your choice of a sports. I would definitely check this place out before getting a membership elsewhere.

The staff at the front desk was extremely rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. It s unfortunate as they are the first face greeting people as they come into the facility. I was shouted at that I needed to stay in the field house, I had come out to ask to use the bottle filler that was on the other side of the desk as my daughter was out of water. I was told no by the female worker, however the male chimed in and said just let her . As we we re leaving the facility we were again shouted at that we needed to use a different door. We were never informed of these instructions at any point throughout the day. I feel there are better ways to inform people other than shouting at people. Simply informing that the doors were locked for the evening and that there are other doors on the other side of the field house to exit would have been just as effective and in much better taste. Please find a way to inform visitors of expectations and please have a conversation with your staff about effectively communicating with people.

Awesome facility! Hot tub, tons of exercise equipment, ice rink, water park, indoor track and there's a lake. My favorite gym at which I've ever been a member.

Family friendly, love to go there with my Daughters and enjoy aquatic center.
