The building has a LOT of security to get inside. Usually, the lines aren't long and can be managed in a few minutes. It's a bright clean space in the lobby, with a few spaces to sit and wait. But, it isn't the kind of space where you'd just hang out. Modern architecture with big, bold spaces, now clouded by security devices and architecture.
Dear Senator Durbin, I have been sending e-mails to your office since my attorneys Bart Durham and Jeremiah Joyce took my case, after my previous attorney at Teamster City, Andrew Leonard, backed out and told me to come and get all the records he had subpoenaed from the surgeons I saw pre and after having my first of six major back surgeries. I knew, Durham and Joyce would make a pact with Argonne's attorneys and give me a minimum settlement. They did it by getting rid of several MRIs, discographic and myelographic images I had given to Jeremiah Joyce. Even after I was awarded my pittance, Joyce has never returned all these films I gave in 2004, and later. What did they do? They chose to keep the severity of my back injury, on paper, as only being a "strain", as it was written on the top page of the papers I signed to get my appeasement. Senator, Argonne's Dr. David Ronin was in contact with each surgeon I saw, beginning in January of 2000, telling them to alter what they saw and diagnosed and recommended. This caused me to be passed from surgeon-to-surgeon-to surgeon for nine whole months. But, I had a very severe back injury, with two badly torn discs in the last two levels of my lumbar spine, crushing into my spinal canal, so that by May of 2000, after becoming a patient of Dr. Peter Letarte of Loyola Medical Center, the injury was permitted to advance to severe lumbar spinal stenosis, but also with irreversible spinal nerve damage, and right leg foot-drop that I still have, more than thirteen years later. Now, over the years, from having my spine fused into my sacrum and losing my bending and turning ability, both my hips wore out and had to be replaced in 2008 and this year, along with a right knee replacement, and also injuring and tearing both rotator cuffs and bicep tendons in both my shoulders, because I depend on so much more upper-body and arm strength to get up from a seat, from bed and in and out of a car. So far, Sir, since 2000, I have needed fourten major surgeries, and I almost died twice from two stress-induced heart attacks. Senator, does $97,000.00 sound adequate for what was allowed to be done to me? In addition, my attorneys Durham and Joyce never subpoeaned for any of my medical records involving my hip and knee replacements and shoulder surgeries, while both my Rush orthopedic surgeons have confirmed these were all caused from my spinal injury and fused spine. Mr Durbin, how do you ignore this? My entire life has been taken from me, I've been deemed "permanently disabled" since 2001, and I only get a pittance of sixty percent of my 1999 Argonne wages, from my Shipping position there. But also, I lost not only twenty years of "impeccable" service, as my records state, but also the position of Shipping Traffic Specialist, that was to become my position in 2001, an immediate $15,000.00 annual pay raise. Senator, what was done to me by my attorneys, by Argonne's attorneys and even the doctors I went to, is CRIMINAL! I have attempted to get a case with legal malpractice attorneys, and the four I've contacted so far have all declined to help me. Senator, this is your state of Illinois, I am one of your loyal constituents, and you should be helping me! Please, stop these crimes from becoming my reality!! Sincerely, Peter Renardo
