The location was great. Overall the Rodney client mediate needs, however, the TV could have been bigger to accommodate a king size bed and the room itself. The heating was confusing and he kept going to cool air back to heat louder than necessary. The water pressure in shower could have been better. The automatic light at the entrance was extremely annoying especially in the middle of the night when I needed to go to the bathroom I didn't need a light to come on to wake me up. It would have been nice to have at least one premium channel in the television lineup. Commercials are the worst. Lastly it would have also been accommodating to have a warmer blanket in the world considering its November if not on the bed that at least in the closet without having to call the front desk.

It was overall really nice, and near a lot of market. Food choices all around the hotel. No pool, and 10 floors. The rooms were pretty decent, and quite large, however the shower was a mess with terrible water pressure and it was hard to heat. Most importantly, the wifi is awful. You won't stay connected for more than 10 minutes. And we were located right next to the router as well!
Made a reservation through Expedia (which is also literal garbage, but that's a review for another time) and had it set for a three night stay. Most stressful three nights of my year. The carpets, beds, chairs, bathrooms, hallways, and lounges were beyond filthy. The breakfast was not even subpar, people get better food in prison. On top of that the employees (ranging all the way from desk clerks to the the hotel managers) were beyond rude, unprofessional, and absolutely lacking in basic decency and manners (we're not even talking about customer service I mean just basic human decency). I don't like to put up negative reviews but if a place has it coming for them that's exactly what they'll get. Sad that I can't give this place zero stars. Don't make a reservation for this place unless you're plan is to suffer instead of actually being comfortable.
The worst hotel I have stayed. The hotel is dirty, the front desk staff are very rude, unprofessional and they don't care if you rate them. This is the second year we held a conference and will be the last time. The rooms are disgusting, the carpets are nasty, the 7th floor smells like sewage and only one elevator works. If you like quality, don't waster your time look for a better hotel round the area.
Beautiful bedroom surface with a large King size bed. The decor could indeed be more current but good ...... TV, pt fridge, free wifi, coffee maker. Bathroom with super large shower but faucet date a hair. View of large parking super market. Seems calm. Air conditioning works.Pt dj suitable.
I have booked a hotel room for me, my daughter, and my niece for a girls getaway. I have never been to your establishment before. Prior to coming we were all excited and looking forward to our stay. When I have arrived there was a guest in front of me trying to reserve her room so I patiently waited. When it was my turn to check in, the lady at the front desk disappeared to the back never to return. I stood there patiently waiting for her to return while listening to their conversations about baby daddies . Final I poke my head a little closer to the plexi glass and then she appeared. While checking me in she advised me about my deposit of $100 that I wasn t aware of due to booking through booking.com. It wasn t the deposit that was the issue, it was how the message was delivered that made me feel uneasy about reserving the room. I handed her my credit card as she handed me a form to fill out. This was new to me because I have never had anyone at a hotel hand me a form needing my vehicle information. I asked her why she needed my vehicle information and she stated that it was needed to run my vehicle registration. I was confused. At that time I did ask her if I wanted to cancel can I get a refund. She stated yes it will take a couple of days. So I asked her to give me a minute while I make a phone call. I walked outside to make my call and return to asked her another question about the bottom of the form. She then answered my question with a reply of I just spoke to my manager and she said for me to issue you a refund . I so shock but not surprised. Since I walked in the establishment looked nice but the customer service was so unprofessional. I left and called the Hilton who have reserved my room within 5 minutes of my call, apologize for the bad service I have received at your establishment, and even allow me to book a second room on short notice.
However, my experience that I had at your establishment didn t sit well with me so I called only to be told that there wasn t a manager, no corporate office, the general manager no longer works here, and was transferred to a voice answering service. I left a message that was never returned with a courtesy call. I then called again to asks to speak to someone like a manager, a corporate office, or heck even the owner and was told no own was available. Devin did give me your email after telling me seven minutes into the conversation that he was a supervisor but never asked if he can assist me in anyway.
I want you to keep in mind that I have just return from the Poconos two weeks prior and never did I receive such horrible and unprofessional service.
Sunday October 13th Me and over 20 of my friends attended an NFL Redskins/ Dallas game held party at this hotel which featured my favorite band Secrete Society. I observed one of the door staff female , the light black complexion with short hair , that was running the door at your NFL Party showing Horrible customer service to the entrants , The door staff seemed not to be in concert with each other and gave conflicting instructions to customers waiting to enter. I observed the female being rude to customers repeatedly. I can understand if she became overwhelmed with the high number of people attending the event , but she is in the customer service business and we for the most part was a adult mature crowd . I heard numerous complaints about her the next day and the lack of organization of the door as a whole. It was then I discovered she doesn't work for the promoter she actually works for the hotel and hold some title in the hotel Metro Points which is even more disconcerting. Needless to say I will not be returning to give METRO POINTS HOTEL anymore of my money and I will be advising others as well. On another note I think that other than the door staff , the Hotel is well kept and the event was nice, the food and drinks were good and the food service personnel seemed to have a system that worked well they were very nice. The band Secret Society and some of the other promoters have a huge mature following and should be respected as such. The Hotel owner should review his staff to insure they are providing proper customer service to his clientele. Good luck I hope u have a better experience than I did.
I had one problem with this hotel, to me it's a major one. This Hotel is not handicap accessible: There wasn't a walk-in shower or a shower bench, which made bathing very difficult.
I had to be carried onto the Shuttle Bus as there was no ramp to access it. Luckily, I had family to assist me; the next person may not be so lucky.
too exaggerated! When I checked out in the morning, the elevator was broken! Ask the counter, the counter asked us to move the luggage down the stairs, faint! The room is OK, the internet is super slow, the breakfast style is very small, only scrambled eggs, original small potato chips, small sausages, toast, and two kinds of cereals can be selected, there is nothing else, coffee is already cooked, all The cups and bowls are made of styrofoam and are very environmentally friendly. The only advantage is that there are Starbucks and supermarkets that can buy things on the opposite side.
I was charged TWICE for my room and then when I went back to speak to the manager they tried to say they found evidence of smoking in the room I stayed in...which is pretty funny since I DON T EVEN SMOKE!!!! So, then they charged me a $350 cleaning fee!?!? Also, they do have BUGS!!! A roach crawled out of the small side closet by the tv!
Avoid this hotel at any costs! The toilet was not flushing and when reported at night they postponed looking into it it until tomorrow morning. I had to call a couple of times until someone showed up at the morning for this bare minimum requirement of a "hotel" room! The carpet were filthy and the bed sheets had stains on them. The staffs were rude and totally unhelpful .
I am giving this place a two star instead of one or three stars because of the following and I would NOT consider going back after this bad experience. pluses: good location and next to things like supermarkets etc; it seems that the house keeper does a good job cleaning given its outdated furnishings. the staff tried to help with issues. minuses: 1) outdated furniture such as wooden floors that has eroded with black color such as room 318 ; 2) the room smelled like eww.. the first room like molded carpet or something(the carpet is very worn out). we had to switch to another room because after keeping the door open and turning on the AC for 20-30 minutes, there is still a strong smell and it was not very comfortable to breathe in. we switched to another room and the room and the bathroom both smelled like the bathroom did not get cleaned for some time. the smell was not as strong as the first room, so we stayed in the second room. The hotel staff tried their best in accommodating us considering that the ventilation in the bathroom is basically not useful. we were told that the ventilation is a central unit and does not have strong suction power like the ones at home. Ok, I get that. But if you put you hands next to this tiny vent, there is no feeling of any air movement.
The building looks nice from outside. I really hope the hotel owner would consider upgrading the central ventilation system as I am not the only who left reviews complaining about this. Also, I hope the smell was just from the moist in the room or from the carpet and nothing is actually molding.
This hotel should not be rated a 3.5. It has very poor responses to things that come common for $ paid. The room was not cleaned on the 2nd day until requested, the decor was dirty and dingy. Phone did not work. Breakfast has 1 waffle maker for over 100 guests. So if 1 guest decides to make 3 waffles, no one else will have time. You pay more for a refrigerator or microwave!! The front desk was very polite and friendly.
Positives: Clean rooms, comfortable beds, no bugs, good breakfast, very friendly staff, free shuttle to Metro. Negatives: one ice machine worked in entire hotel, loud thumping music on weekend nights, very thin walls, floors and ceilings.
The lobby is clean and has very bright lighting. The rooms are decent size rooms. The carpets need some deep cleaning. Bathroom tiles need to be thoroughly cleaned due to black spots in the grout.
I would never recommend this hotel. Staff is rude and uncompromising. I was have a baby and had called ahead and was offered the option to check in early. However when I arrived, I was told could not check in and had to go away for an hour before returning to check in. They did not even have the courtesy to ask if I wanted to wait in the lobby for the hour, and it was raining outside!! Their website clearly states that a refrigerator and microwave s free if staying for three or more days, I was asked to pay!! Steer clear if you want a good experience, otherwise you get what you pay for!!
Called room service four times for extra pillows, they finally came around 10:45, and only brought 1. Beds were ridiculosly small for two people. Bathrooms had soaked towels, hair dryer sitting in water, and no soap upon arrival.
This place was HORRIBLE! They take $100 out of your account upon check in and it takes 7-10 business days to go back in. The "continental breakfast" consisted of scrambled eggs, white loaf bread, and grits, oh and sausage links that were just mush. The hotel staff was not friendly and the hallways were hotter than hell itself. The rooms were outdated and didn't have much to offer. The place states they have a gift shop. They don't. Oh and the phones in the room where they say you can just dial 0 for the front desk aren't even plugged in! This place was a total joke and I will never return.
It's a very nice hotel but some of the services are lacking. I had 4 adults in my room and I couldn't get extra towels or soap. And trying to get extra regular coffee from house keeping was almost impossible. They said that they can only give 2 per room.
We stayed here last year on vacation. We were impressed with the friendliness of the staff. The shuttle driver was such a super guy! They really care about you having an enjoyable stay! Excellent value for money. Big room, very nice bathroom!
The only reason we did not stay this year is that we wanted to be closer to Arlington.
It was easy finding the hotel but it was a little tricky finding parking. We had to park in their underground parking garage which was well lit but a little scary since it was dark and barely any other cars. The service was great and the food was better than expected.
Party going on in the hallway of the tenth floor right now at 2 AM. At least twenty people loudly screaming. Hotel staff said there's nothing that can be done without speaking with a manager, but managers don't work on weekends.
Location is great. Close to bus & metro station. Easily accessible. It's central to Washington, Baltimore & Maryland. The waiting lounge is bright but the Hotel rooms/facilities are dated and needs overhaul/ maintenance to have fresh breath.
This hotel DOES NOT refund. I made the mistake to book a room for the wrong day, like anyone else, and tried to cancel it. They told me that their "company policy" states that no refunds will be given. I would understand if they charge me cancellation fee, but not even a partial refund?! This is terrible company policy and I encourage people to NOT book a room at this hotel. I've never left a review in Google before but I just simple felt outraged and, frankly, robbed
Really bad experience. When I checked in the process was long and my key didn't work, so I had to walk down the lobby again for her to activate it. The hotel itself is old - part of the shower faucet look like it was about to come off the wall. At check-in they charged me $50 for security deposit, when at check-out I specifically asked if it will be refunded and was told yes. They didn't provide me with a receipt on check-out. When I checked my credit card statement the $50 charge was still in there. Then I had to call the hotel back multiple times without timely response from the lady who's in charge of the billing. When she finally did she had really poor attitude and told me that I had to call my own credit card company to cancel the charge. DO NOT RECOMMEND
there was a mouse in my room and the shower was dirty and didnt have much hot water. room service took our extra blankets and the room was dirty when we came
This place needs a remodel bad. One of the elevators was broken and the only other working one took forever. The hallway carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. They have a small bar, and when I say small, only 4-5 chairs and 15 liquors at most.
Nori or Nor something is the hotel manager, she is very rude and condescending in her attitude towards customers. The property is out dated, however the lobby looks very well kept. My bed sheets were dirty and so were the floors and walls in the hallway. To get ice for your room you have to travel all the way to the 10th floor. Hotel staff do nothing to help with simple issues like Wi-Fi. This company should consider hiring new staff.
BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD !!!!!!! DOUBLE CHARGE !!!!!
The hotel wait couple of days after your stay and they charge your credit card again . I did try to contact them so many time with no respond back. SO FAR ALMOST YEAR AFTER MY STAY NO RESOND FROM THEM AND MOST IMPORTANT NO REFUND TO MY CREDIT CARD ....
I arranged a stay at the Metro Points Hotel while attending a seminar in the area. I inadvertently scheduled the wrong day through one of the third party sites like Expedia. When I arrived and learned that I didn't schedule the correct day, I contacted the 3rd party site and was told that I due to the policy of the hotel, I could not get a refund for the incorrect reservation and could not change the reservation to the correct night. I was very frustated at the hotel desk team for their unwillingness to correct my mistake, seeing I was going to be staying at their hotel anyway. Both the hotel and travel agency were blaming the other for the inability to address my problem. Regardless, I needed the room so I paid a second time and asked for the business card of the Hotel Manager. The room was attractive and my stay at the hotel was pleasant. The next day, I met with the Hotel Manager and explained the situation. He agreed to contact the travel agency and to arrange a credit for the incorrect reservation, and that transaction was completed by the travel agency later that day. He turned what was a very frustrating experience into an excellent customer service opportunity. I would recommend this hotel and will consider going back if I am in the area again.
Metro Points is located close to the DC metro system. It provides easy access to the city. We stayed on the top floor. It snow during our stay and there was a leak outside of ourbroom from the roof. Also there was discoloration on the ceiling. On the positive side, the room was clean, had updated features, and the complimentary breakfast is good. I would stay here again, but not on the top floor.
Worst hotel experience of my life.... Christina E refused to get a manager stating she is one than she wanted to make a copy of my passport. I m a world of fraud and security, I don t think so. I will never stay here again. The hotel smells... it s old and nasty and rude staff.
I have stayed here a few times since November 2016 due to the close proximity to a friend that i visit, and have had no problems at all. I even got there at about 945pm one time and they still served me food from the bar happily, which was delicious and convenient being that i was on the road for 3 hours. They were redoing the floors last time I was there and it's looked great!! I will be staying there again soon and am sure to have the same great service!! Thanks!!
The hotel was nice for the area. The staff was courteous. The gym has two functional treadmills, 2 elipticals, and 2 bikes, dumbbells from 20 to 50 pounds, a bench and crossover cables. Breakfast was hot and delicious. On the down side one elevator was out and my key had to be reprogrammed over two times.
I would like to first start off by saying the front desk attendant Rochelle was very rude and unwelcoming. She did not smile or greet me as a paying guest rather a person that was looking for a night in a shelter where I'm sure people are kinder than Rochelle was. No pleasantries were exchanged instead a flat "ID and credit card" when I walked in and told her I had a reservation. The room for the most part are ok but they are very dated. I have stayed here before and it was decent enough but because of the unwelcoming nasty employee that they have I will never go back. If your looking for hospitality warmth and accommodating personnel don't stay there you won't find it!!!!!!!!
We stayed there July 19 to the 21 the hotel only had one elevator working.. Their hallways upstairs was hot and the stairwells were hot to and smell like pee..The next day Both elevators was not working And we had to use the stairs.. The staff was unorganized.. not only that they have bed bugs...I would NEVER GO BACK THERE..
The air conditioner was broken you couldn't just the temperature. The remote control to the TV didn't work and there was no microwave in the room. I will never stay there again.
