Dirty room, the buffet made me run away, I give 1 star because I can not help it. The go west person who recommends this hotel has never set foot here. I went out to try to find something to eat. The neighborhood does not appeal and is not very safe. Flee French friends, find out from your tour operators if this place is part of your trip. Go West accommodates us here, 30 km from Washington, it's like. See you were in a hotel in an industrial area when Washington is a beautiful city that we would have liked to visit in the evening. Deplorable....

Just checked in with my son and was met with absolutely terrible customer service. Both women working behind the front desk were rude and dismissive - not at all the kind of greeting you want to have when arriving at a hotel. The facility itself is pleasant enough, though the rooms are certainly more outdated than the lobby would lead you to believe. Luckily we got a good deal through Expedia but I would not stay here again or recommend to others.

I stayed in this hotel on 6/24th. The front desk Christina Eis not rude but very mean. I bring a group here with 20 rooms. In the afternoon, I called to the hotel to confirm that I can get 18DD room and 2 king size room. A man answered yes,u do get 18DD +2kings. When I get to the hotel, I only get 20dd rooms. Cause in my group, there are two couples in the honeymoon. That s why I confirmed twice for them. I didn t get any apologize from Christina .she just said talk to ur company. But I did call them to make sure I get 2king size room. That s the mistake they made with no doubt. Actually the only thing I need at that moment was just a apology. After I give all the keys to my group, I realize I only get 19 rooms instead of 20. So that I check all the rooms on the list, find the room they missed. It took me 1hour. And then I go back to her, said I confirmed my room,ur co worker made the mistake and u only give 19 rooms which is the sec mistake, u owe me a apology. She said I don t need to apologize to u. U are an adult watch ur manner.when I talk to her, my attitude was not bad.cause I just want to hear sorry after all these. But after this conversation, I just left and said u are so bitchy.

This was our 1x staying here. The hotel is updated & well clean. The staff is not friendly at all... The cost is very fair. One problem is that they never mention on the phone or email that you must pay by credit card & not cash. I would try a 2nd stay. Hopefully, the assistance front deck manager & other workers can be more interested in their guests.

Metro Points Hotel is cool. It has a certain decaying charm, and is in a non-fancy but character-filled neighbourhood. My room was huge, my king-size bed was super comfortable, and while the decor is a bit tired, everything feels perfectly clean. The free breakfast is yummy, the staff are friendly, and overall it's amazing value for the low price of a room.

While the room was decent, the receptionist was horrible. As one who works in customer service myself, I would hire and train better receptionist. She never smiled once and her attitude was revolting. The way in which she spoke to us was condescending and lacked any sense of hospitality. I have had issues with the conditions of hotels in the past, however what made the stay better was and would always be the interaction between staff and guests. Honestly if I was not desperate and out of my state I would have canceled my stay. A guest choosing to stay out of desperation is not a good look for a company in the hospitality business or any business for that matter. I would highly recommend that Corporate implements better employee training and hire people with GOOD customer services abilities.

This place charged me a deposit that I knew none about until I got there and when we left not only did they keep my deposit they charged me $150 they said some about smoking, but I do not smoke and the maid didn't clean my room like I aksed her too while I left for the day and the general manager who I have left messages for numerous times will not call me back so watch when dealing with this hotel.

This has got to be the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE #worstcustomerservice #metropointshotel #metropointshotelnorth #metropointshotelnewcarrollton I have ever received from a hotel. I will not recommend this hotel under any circumstances even if they offer free rooms. The entire staff I spoke to on the phone are part of the fraud being perpetrated as customer service. The front desk person actually lied and said the manager was not in the hotel, while an agent was talking to the manager on another phone. I bet he didn't know I knew that! I will be providing additional information soonest. The only reason you even get one star is because I cannot give you zero to post this comment.

You get what you pay for at this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable but do show signs of wear. The carpet in the hall does have stains and is threading, the finish in in the tub was worn away in places. The rooms do need a deep clean as could be seen from the thread of dust hanging from the wardrobe and a red set in stain under the bed. The bathroom was of ample size with a large vanity and mirror, it was very clean and well lit. We had enough linens for four and the bathroom mat was changed each day. The hotel provided pantene shampoo and conditioner + soap but no body lotion. The bed in the double room. was comfortable and easily slept two people without feeling crowded. The wardrobe had a full length mirror, was deep and was easy to hang and fit all of our formal clothing but bring extra hangers, there was not much storage for clothing beyond the one cupboard. The others held the minifridge and coffeemaker. There is free wifi throughout the hotel. The free complimentary breakfast buffet consisted of scrambled eggs, chipped fried potatoes/hash browns, pork sausage, make your own Belgian waffles, wheat or white toast, corn flakes, bran flakes, oranges, apples, coffee, tea and a variety of fruit juices. They do serve food after 4pm on a $5/$8/$14 menu but I did not get to try any. The room did not have a microwave but did have a minifridge in the room which was quite large and held four sets of leftovers, drinks and snacks with room to spare. The rooms have an iron and ironing board, air conditioning and a large pull out desk. The TV's do not have an HDMI hook up only RCA. We were able to comfortably fit 4 people (3 smaller than avg women and 1 avg man) in the room for 2 nights and it ran us less than $250. The hotel is right off the highway exit with ample parking and events hall. There is a 7eleven, supermarket, Starbucks, Ihop and Chipotle all within walking distance.

Hotel is a great location to explore Washington DC. Especially the shuttle to the train station is nice.
The rooms are old, but ok for spending a few nights. Unfortunately the carpet was very dirty and in the room was no fridge and no microwave. The breakfast was ok, although the breakfast area feeling was like canteen. Nevertheless the stay was pleasant.

No earthly idea why they're calling this place a hotel. It's a motel in the purest sense of the word. The beds are usually relatively clean, and there is a halfway decent free breakfast. But the shower is often old and moldly. Spend 5/10 extra bucks and stay at a place nearer to the metro or the stadium. I added a star for being family friendly.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! The Breakfast was not that good, the waffles were soggy, the eggs looked terrible and the sausages were bland. The Quality of the TVs were bad and there were not enough channels. The rooms weren't that clean and we had a bad view of the hotel in the room I was in.BAD HOTEL!

Horrible customer service. Flight was cancelled due to weather and they are refusing a refund even after notifying them way in advance. The hotel itself is a dump, so don't waste your money. Dirty inside and out.

Room is comfortable enough but interior is dated. There is shuttle service to the stations but there schedule is not convenient and flexible for the guests. More often than not, have to take a taxi or uber back to the hotel.

My stay at Metro Points Hotel was satisfactory. Clean and spacious room, particularly for the very reasonable price. Most ice machines were broken and the floors were being refurbished at the time, but I found the overall experience met my expectations.

Rude check in. We had paid for 2 rooms for 2 nights on line and when we arrived at the hotel the night clerk Eric said "no that is 2 beds for 2 nights". Well after several minutes Eric got the manager who Eric said earlier was not on the premises and he got it straightened out.

Great location and a place to stay.

Great location and a place to stay.
Customer service Representative we met at.1pm instead of Check in time at 3pm was not compassionate inspite of our appeal that I just arrived from Ohio and was tired... Again my neighbors were noisy at 2 am forgetting that others were sleeping.
Breakfast was not too bad..
On the whole the place was good

We re here for a school trip.
Overall room was not bad.
We previously heard that there were bed bugs so we stripped the bed and kept bags off the floor. However, there was stains on the curtains, walls, lamp shade, and when we checked the beds there was random hair clumps inside. The bathroom was fine but definitely not great. Our friends had mold troubles and bodily fluids on towels and had to ask for replacements. There s a door bolted shut in the room as well, leading outdoors. The only view is of a rusty wall on the roof. After awhile, our key card stopped working too and we had to see the front desk.
so not a great stay. would not recommend for picky people

This hotel is right off the I 495 and very easy to get to. The room was adequate but is due for an update especially the washroom, water didn't drain quickly from the bath tub and flushing the toilet didn't inspire confidence. If these short comings are addressed I would change my rating to 5 stars.

This place is dreadful. Everything here is dirty and disgusting. My shower towel isn t clean and the WiFi is garbage. You will Not be connected to this world if you ever stay here. Staying here is a total waste of money and health. They use the cheapest material for everything in the room and doesn t provide a refrigerator. please take my comments seriously and reconsider your booking.
Trust me, you can find a much better place for a cheaper price easily.

I was a chaperone with a group of about 300 students visiting DC. This hotel was booked through the tour company, not the school. We had students on at least 3 floors of this hotel. The bad: My room was mediocre at best. Had a funky smell as soon as we opened the door. The carpet was buckling in several places. The charging outlet was falling out of the wall. Many of our students' rooms didn't have air conditioning that worked. At least 3 of our students got bed bug bites. One of our tour bus drivers slept in a chair because of bed bugs. One of our students found a hypodermic needle in their room. One elevator was out of order and the other one was very slow. The good: The lobby was nice and the full breakfast was great. I didn't actually come in to contact with many employees except in the banquet hall where we all had breakfast, but they were really nice and pleasant.

My take is this place needs some updating and better housekeeping. They are not properly cleaning these rooms.

When you first enter the hotel it's actually put together very well. The service workers of the hotel are respectful and answer all the questions you desire. When you enter the room it smells like old carpet and things are a little outdated. One would be the tv which doesn't have an HDMI so if you have kids that wanna hook up the system at night it's a no go. The chairs had stains on it so God knows what happened in the room. The floor also had stains and there wasn't a microwave which was a surprise to me. All in all its a nice hotel but things within the rooms need to be updated and cleaned.

This hotel has become a first choice for me for a place to stay in the metro DC area. It has to start off right for me with the first person I see at check in and the customer service I got from Nora and Kimlee were excellent. They must be mentioned for recognition because each time I checked in, it always takes me no more than 5 minutes and always offer any assistance; if ever needed and consistently ensure my stay will be pleasant. As for the amenities here, it is decent. There is a small gym available, shopping and restuarants nearby, highway access convenience, hours of restaurant and bar opened are very good, rooms aren't as updated but for the price to stay it is decent and still comfortable for a few nights of staying, the breakfast in the morning is pretty good and the people who cater to it in the morning is very nice; they do very well dealing with the messy visitors who come thru in the morning to eat and leave a mess wherever station they walk to ( Thank you for keeping it clean and food always filled.), and MOST importantly I must mention in this review is that, there is NO BEDBUGS as people suggested. I have stayed in several rooms here and throughout all my time and stays I have not been bitten or seen a bedbug here. I am very and highly allergic to bedbugs and would know by now, if there were bedbugs infested because I would be waking up to a very itchy and swollen arms or legs by now. Enough talks about bedbugs-yuck! lol. I would just like to say, "Thank you Metro Points".

FYI: Be advised that every check in at this hotel requires a $100 deposit on debit or credit card; cash isn't accepted so be prepared. I seem to see many people come in very disappointed and upset about that while I am checking in or out. It's a deposit and the money is ALWAYS refunded to you as long as your room wasn't destroyed, damaged or smoked in; after checking out. Oh and thank goodness, people aren't smoking in their rooms here. I am allergic and can't stand the smell of cigarettes and marijuana.
