I was disappointed after hearing great reviews about this Best Western and then staying there. The real let down was the cleanliness of the rooms. The first room we were given had a strong smell of urine in it. I called down to guest services and told them there was no way I would stay in that room and so I was given another room. The next room I received didn't smell but the bathroom plug would not remain down so I had to take a shower. The room also had a bad build up of dust on the ceiling. I would not recommend this hotel to guests.

They messed up my reservation and charged me an extra night. Now it has taken over a week to get my money back. The manager did not seem very interested in what happened. And did not apologize for the inconvenience. I cannot recommend staying here.

Hotel and amenities are ok. The "guest parking " is filled with cars for weekend comedy shows in the hotel. Paying guests have to search for a spot which is usually around the back in a poorly lit area. Two block walk to the lobby

We stayed here when we cruised out of Baltimore. The hotel was very comfortable, however, the transportation was somewhat confusing. The transportation was NOT through the hotel, but was from a company called KD Elite. It was not clearly stated how the process worked and was a bit chaotic. In spite of that, I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone cruising from Baltimore. Now that we know the process, it will be easier next time. They keep your car for the duration of the cruise, and provide a comfortable room either before or after the cruise.

Absolutely fantastic stay couldn't ask for better. Fabulous people, food, and the hot tub and pool is heaven. Angel our waitress was really an angel. If you needed anything from front desk, you got it immediately. Our shuttle driver Kevin was amazing, very informational while driving. Took us to John's Hopkins and we went to Riley's Believe it or not museum also. Will definitely only stay here if possible every time.

First let's start with the rude, customer service agent name Arwa( not sure if that's how you spell it she wasn't wearing name tag) I got there at 2pm my check in was 4pm which she kept repeating to me everything I said to her. The pool is closed at 10p which I don't know why because there is no lifeguard during the day so it shouldn't make a difference at night, nor are the pool hours posted anywhere I saw. The shower does not have a tub the water gets all over the bathroom floor, there is like a speed bump between showerf floor and regular floor and it's doesn't help. Honestly I was not impressed by this hotel in any way. I don't know how they pick the floors but I do know that as soon as you come of the elevator someone was smoking so much marijuana it's was stifling. i could smell it down by my room which was middle hallway. Do your best and avoid this place.

BWP is normally a very good experience. This location is miserable. I was sick and jet lagged older businessman - woken early and rudely by housekeeping ignoring a do not disturb sign instead of having the management call 30 min. before checkout time. Eventually I was just finishing packing and dressing at noon - still NO CALL from front desk - instead 2 huge men start pounding on my door - yelling "Hotel Security" "Why are you still here?" "You have to go!" - I open the door - shocked at this behavior - and see 2 men in paint splattered work clothes and dirty work out construction boots - who I politely and softly said - sorry, I'm sick and jet lagged and running a bit late - The can SEE my bags and me buttoning my shirt - (obviously I'm on my way out) and CONTINUE berating me and acting "macho". I close the door - finish packing - but in the harassment actually forgot a couple things in the room. When I go out to leave the men are STILL THERE - like I am a terrorist or criminal. A then they yell to the 2 housekeepers who have 5 other rooms open and are busy in them (as if mine made a difference) "OK LADIES, he's out" .

NOT ONE call from the front desk. Just this BIZZARE, low class, hostile treatment.

Other issues: Broken lamp, NO plugs you can reach - you have to move furniture and crawl on the floor to plug in a single item. The bathtube doesn't drain. Part of my lateness was I needed hot bath in AM for back problems and filled with cold water accidentally. I took 30 minutes to drain before I could rerun the bath. Pillows were also miserable - but I travel with my own.

I stay for business about 150 nights per year in hotels. This stay will be "memorable" for all the wrong reasons.

On business, at this location and I was amazed at how friendly the staff was, professional and respectful. I was pleased with the room, and the water pressure, bed was great! Quiet rooms. I recommend the little bar inside for a nice dinner! Staff keeps the included breakfast in the morning hot and stocked. Week day bar maid is very entertaining, and friendly, (I don t have permission to use her name, so I didn t.). They have a shuttle bus that rounds downtown, so you don t have to pay to park! Just a really nice place, not priced to the moon.

The front lobby and entrance is well kept and clean but the club on the same property does this place no justice. Drunks walking around the parking lot, lobby and in the hallways. My kids couldn t sleep because of loud obnoxious people yelling in the hallways acting like no one else is around. I have spotted 4 BUGS that looked like baby cockroaches in my bathroom within an hour. I checked for bed bugs upon entering my room and to my surprise I saw none, thankfully. They do have a decent breakfast buffet though.

Clean hotel. Staff at check in couldnt really care if we were there or not. Beds were like big pieces of foam. Super squishy and no comfort. Nice location. We always stay at best westerns and this might be my least favorite.

This is the place to stay if you have an appointment at one of the local hospitals. The shuttle service was fabulous and eliminated the stress of Baltimore driving. The room was great and the staff friendly and helpful. Joseph was especially helpful and saved us when we had to book another night last minute due to a sick child. We'll be back.

The accomodations were really good for my family's reunion.. The banquet food was excellent. Proximity to inner harbor and casino was great. But.... the elevators . It almost stopped on me twice. Once the door closed but didn't move up or down. A lil scary. This will keep me from revisiting.

Great room, safe neighborhood, decent breakfast, excellent price and excellent mattress!! I slept so well. Not super close to the Inner Harbor but with the free shuttle service and it being about 100 dollars a night cheaper, it was definitely worth it. Very close to John's Hopkins and we were actually there for a doctor's appointment so it was perfect. Pool looked nice but we didn't get a chance to try it. We'll definitely be back!

The things I like best about this particular Best Western are: 1) quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the Inner Harbor or downtown areas 2) the shuttle service to Johns Hopkins and the Inner Harbor saves us a bundle that we would otherwise pay in cab fares 3) the restaurant serves really good lunches and dinners that would cost way more at the Inner Harbor just as good or better, larger portions, and plenty to choose from on the menu.

We arrived as a major disaster cleanup was in progress. A hotel guest had apparently went berserk and set off the sprinkler system earlier in the evening. This was not the hotel's fault and they had a large cleanup crew on-site. We ended up having to check into a smoking room as the non-smoking room we reserved had been flooded. The loud cleanup work continued in the hallway all night outside our room. A maid knocked on the door at 8am (there was no do not disturb sign available in the room).
The next morning I asked for a free night and ended up with only a small food voucher at their restaurant from the manager. The disaster was not their fault, but I was not satisfied with the compensation for this major hassle it and the lost sleep it caused us.
The breakfast buffet was ok, but bacon would have been nice instead of just sausage. The staff was generally friendly despite difficult circumstances for them. Lobby coffee ran out and I mentioned it to a kitchen employee. Said it would be taken care of. An hour later it was still out. Some of the room decor was old, although I've stayed in worse places. There was an upholstered chair in the room with soon real nasty looking stains. My wife freaked out when I sat in it briefly. Rest of the room was not too bad. Beds were too soft. AC worked well. Otherwise room was ok.

I'm usually nice when it comes to reviews. This hotel is convenient if you need to be in this area. Check in was a breeze. When I got in my room the water was off so I had to wait til they finished whatever they were doing to take a shower. Yes they promote that they have HD TVs but none of the channels are in HD. I had to keep my TV on a high volume to hear it because the raggedy air conditioner was loud. My toilet had stopped up (not my fault) and they seemed to not care. I had to call the front desk numerous times. So I guess the maintenance man refused to fix it so they moved me to another room. The comforter had stains/burns on it and they refused to change it. Then in the mornings the elevators wouldn't even work. There was literally a line to get on the elevators after breakfast. Out of 4 elevators 2 would work and none of them felt safe. The hallways on all the floors were hot. I dont think they believe in air conditioning the hallways. So yeah thats my honest review. They do have a comedy club which is one of the few positive things about this hotel if you dont wanna go far for entertainment. Thats my honest review about this hotel.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. STAY AWAY !!. This hotel is old and dirty, don't let them fool you with the pictures. I stayed on 3/22/17 and I was bitten up by bed bugs as you can see in the pictures, the manager gave me eyewash solution and patches, because I was also bitten on my eye, which I couldn't open until 2 days later. The management denied that they were bedbugs and I went to get checked by a doctor and the doctor confirmed that they were bedbugs. See pictures.

The waitress named "Cash" at the Baltimore Comedy Factory is the ABSOLUTE WORST, LAZIEST AND FORGETFUL. I had to wait until the clean up crew came and vacuumed the carpet before this inept person brought me my check! FOH!
Took her 40 minutes to bring my drinks. She got my wing order WRONG and brought out someone else's wings. Never again.

This place is generally good. It's the small stuff that keeps it from being a full five star review. First of all, all staff were professional and courteous.
The entrance, eating area, hallways, rooms are all well kept. The complimentary breakfast is actually a bit better than I'm used to from similarly priced hotels. The room is fairly standard fare these days. 40" flat screen, modern furniture, bathroom with updated looks. The swimming pool and work out area were nice and clean.

Now for the negatives. The mini fridge is mounted in a cabinet, but it was too big, so the cabinet door stays 3" open at all times. The unfortunate part is that's the first thing you see when walking in and also when lying on your bed. We had a number of plumbing issues with our room. Both the bath and sink drain plugs were broken. When reported, they were fixed within an hour. The sink faucet had a mild drip. We never reported it. The room A/C worked great, but was a bit noisy for my taste. The residents seem to be very international and some of them tend to be fairly loud, but not intentionally so, I think it's a culture difference. The swimming area's ceiling has paint that is peeling badly. It really needs to be repaired. Like I said, mostly small stuff, but I had to say it.

The one most nagging thing for me was the WIFI. It is free, but during peak hours, it's almost unusable.

In the end, I'd come back.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I ve had several different rooms during a back and forth work trip. First room the door that concealed the refrigerator would not close making it so you had to walk around it. Elevators don t seem to work properly either. Second rom the door to the fridge was just gone, and the tv only had sound no picture. It took 20 min to get hot water to my shower. Call the front desk and they my answer or may not. HORRIBLE HOTEL!!

Excellent choice if you are a patient or family going to Hopkins. In fact there is a dedicated floor just for Hopkins families. The shuttle is very convenient so you don't need to make the drive to the hospital and worry about parking. And speaking of parking, it is free at the hotel, which is great for saving money. The cleaning staff keep the public areas spotless. The pool is small but adequate, though I found the steps and floor to be fairly slippery. The rooms have a microwave and refrigerator. The AC worked well. The curtains shut out any light. I would definitely stay there again.

Don't do it. Spend the money on a better hotel. I booked it online. When I arrived I was not given the room I booked. The fridge did not work, there was only a half a roll of toilet paper, and not enough towels. The free shuttle took us to the inner harbor and was supposed to pick us up at 530. It never showed. I called the hotel at 600 and they said they were having problems just take a cab and I would be reimbursed. I asked when they were going to tell me the were having issues? They replied " there are too many numbers to go through". Lastly, the breakfast was terrible
There was no one there to seat me or take the voucher ticket. This will definitely be the last time I will stay at a best western.

This hotel is right off I-95 near the Baltimore area. It was easy to find. Very clean and courteous staff. I thought the free breakfast slips of paper was pointless since no one collected them when walking into the restaurant. Their food was good except for their eggs.

We had called as soon as we made the rservation and asked about checking out late the. Next day but once we got to the hotel they told us that they could not accommodate our request because of full booking for the next day.
Their king size bed was sooooooo comfortable however.
Overall we had a good time. And found our stay great

This hotel is a dump. Rooms smelled like smoke. First room smelled like smoke and was not a king room which I had requested so was given another room 5 floors up and that one smelled like smoke as well. Carpets were stained. Sofa in room was stained and riped. Room did not feel clean at all. Will not stay here again!!
