Very nice hotel with excellent service, clean rooms, and friendly staff.
Well kept property customer service was outstanding
Rooms are nicer than expected! Really was impressed with the interior and decoration of rooms. The restaurant is awful...food is poor...and that's being kind. Bar is limited...what bar doesn't have bloody Mary mix?! Staff was extremely friendly...although front desk seemed to be understaffed.
Location was good, but I think it s over priced.. for the same price I d rather stay at Courtyard
Clean Room. The breakfast is ok. But the service shuttle is really bad. Always late or they forget to pick us.
Picked this place for proximity to the metro, and that's all it's good for. It was all that was available for the inauguration.
First given a room with a broken door jamb, and reception wanted to call their "engineer" to look at it.
Then given a room on the top floor. Dated and mismatched furnishings, bathroom door wouldn't lock, and really patchy repairs. The room smelled musty with a hint of chlorine. The hall rug outside was badly replaced, with warping where it didn't fit well. Ugghh.
Came back to the hotel at 11pm, and nothing was open, not even the "bar".
If you're considering this hotel just do yourself a favor and pay $20 extra for a competitor.
Reserved 2 rooms for the party of 6 adults, 3 people in 1 room. Checking in we repeated our request of an adjacent rooms, their staffs have no names. The one we are talking answers in the affirmative. He handed our 2 electronic keys, it's NOT ADJACENT, numbers 700 & 706, we checked it out and it was confirmed, the rooms are about 40 yards apart. We went back and the other guy maybe understand our request and looked at the screen, finally gave us 2 rooms besides each other. I think they are not busy. We stayed only one night Aug . 16th, and the breakfast woo 3 choices no fruits. Will NEVER STAY IN THAT HOTEL AGAIN.
The room is nice for any event, this time it is celebrating 16 years of a lady
It s really poor quality. It s midnight now. Paper wall. Room 320 is right above party room, I can hear sounds and annoying. Really bad customer service, unprofessional and no hot water. Poor quality.
The shower.... Lukewarm. The parking.... Staff is only friendly over the phone. Walking in the establishment or out depending upon who you are they keep there heads down and don't speak. Stayed two nights and was familiar with the group leaders of the several buses that were at the hotel. They were decent. The hotel staff were decent to the group leaders but to myself and the other drivers? No. They have a small parking area for buses and made it work. The only reason this hotel got 2 stars. (Hopefully this will help management seeing as how they wanted to know why my rating was only 2 stars)
Stayed at this hotel for 2weeks..Friendly staff, great food. recommended...
The hotel was nice, staff was great and my particular room was comfortable. Online reservations are best for a competitive rate.
Complimentary buffet breakfast, wifi, quiet & comfy hotel.
The hotel is very old and in need of a thorough renovation. At night it is in the 10th floor very loud by any aggregates on the roof, in addition to a loud air conditioning and a very old, noisy fridge. The breakfast is so-so, the advertised shuttle service works rather badly, is poorly organized. The most positive is that most of the hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. If I had the choice, I would not stay there again.
The rooms and bathroom were clean and big. Breakfast was not so special.
Hotel stole my money. I had booked for this place. They took the money out of my account and wouldn't allow me to have my room. Now I have no where to sleep and have to wait for a refund days later. They are forbidden from me for that, and I recommend you second guess this place as well...
Dinner was horrible and the pizza was nasty and we had to go somewhere else to eat at IHOP at least it was IHOP that was delicious
No shuttle to the game, rooms are sub par breakfast was just eggs and cereal. Chose another hotel! They also charge your card 100$ for a damages deposit only hotel I've ever had do that....again spend your money elsewhere you won't regret it!
The hotel is located close enough to DC to drive to it also offers a shuttle to the New Carlton Metro station. However, there many areas in need of improvement for this facility. From the pictures below of the bathroom, there much work needed. In addition, to the high volume of noise as a result of the facilities party room. We could hear the music all the way on the 7th floor at 1:40AM and had to call the front office.
The hotel needs some TLC to be called a 3-star.
I was impress walking through the door . clean spacious ,the bar didn't stay open long the rooms are nice didn't want to leave the bed but no coffee maker in the room. Very comfortable
Stay away from this hotel as much as you can please. Cancel their booking if you have to before you ll get to the lobby to checkin and their terrible front desk guys will cancel your booking just to show they are in charge and the hotel cannot do anything to help you. It was a terrible experience and I hope no one get to experience what I had to go through with them.
Rooms very clean and staff absolutely wonderful. I would've given five stars but the closet door almost fell on me l, but maintenance came and removed the door immediately.
Went for a conference in a room in the front of the hotel. So, I didn't have much interaction with the staff or facility.
Short drive from Washington DC. Nice lobby. However upstairs felt a bit dated. Comfortable bed but the carpet was dirty. If they address these minor changes, I would have given 5 stars.
Not a good neighborhood, lots of classless guests, the help all were rude. The thing that got me was the completely empty parking lot out front that was coned off for "buses". We had to walk a pretty good distance because of those buses that never showed up in five days that we were there. Keep looking. You're better off staying closer to the mall.
Nice, clean hotel. Friendly staff, up to date rooms, free breakfast was great. Hotel had great amenities.
They don't even deserve a star!. Everyone is rude. There is mold in there bathrooms. The $100 hold is a damn joke! They don't even have $100 worth of crap in the damn rooms. You call and ask questions and they talk over you. Not worth the low prices. Stay away from this ghetto ass hotel
I attended a meeting in the conference room. The room was spacious and there were plenty of tea and coffee available. However, I have concerns about the restrooms. There was no soap in the men's room. I informed the front desk about the soap situation ant they said they would get to it (11 am). An hour later I went back to the front desk and asked if someone could put soap in the bathroom. They offered me some hand sanitizer instead. Our meeting ending at 330 pm and there still was no soap in the bathroom. Very disappointing.
Great rates and availability. Staff is knowledgeable about everything. Clean rooms. Everything you need and more.
First off my room was given away. I was still accommodated which was great but when I got to my room.......Dirty towels in the bathroom , stained and dirty curtains, ripped sofa and cracked ceiling. Immediately went down stairs and asked for a refund of my stay and booked else where.
Had a great stay, staff was friendly and the room was nice. Also very close to practical shopping
I will like to start off by saying that this hotel have been around for many years but not by metro point.
the update's with the interior design stands out good.
The lady at the front desk was very nice and follow the policy of the company when it come to the deposit for the room. i tested her and she stay focus and did her job. (she just gave you a star.)
metropoint gill layout was great. and the lady that service the bar was great. (she just gave you a star)
the food service was very cheap: THE METRO STEAK AND CHEESE
Our famous loaded philly cheesesteak sandwich served
with peppers, onions and mushrooms topped with
provolone cheese on a toasted hoagie roll. $9
my personal comment: use real steak not that cheap shopper's steak and cheese in a box that my 10 year old son can cook for school lunch.
display on the website under your restaurant detail said that Metro Points Grill is quickly becoming the best (kept secret) for locals in Prince Georges County.
they need to keep that a secret until that find a real cook that loves the art of good food. (you get no stars for that)
I have been to many hotels on the east coast testing and reply to issue's that hotel's may have that the consumer's may see or have to deal with.
this time i had my wife with me and not my business partner.
she gave metropoint a star for the room and the smile that all Employee's had on there face.
# of star's 3
best luck next time.
Good price / performance ratio
You can not expect luxury for the price, but at least there is a good breakfast, a gym, a shuttle to the metro, free parking, a restaurant, water dispensers and spacious hotel rooms, which are partly getting old.
Thanks, we liked it.
Definitely a good deal for what is is- an old Four Points by Sheraton property. Room is spacious and nicely furnished, lobby area is comfortable. Walking distance to Starbucks and other shopping. Overall I recommend it for sure.
The rooms were filthy, the breakfast was disgusting, small selection of television channels, and front desk clerk was condescending and unhelpful...
It's an older yet pretty quiet hotel. No electrical outlets a the bedside nightstand unless one unplugs the bedside lamps. So one has a choice, charge your phone beside the bed or have light. Can't have both. The office desk/work area is a table that rolls out from under the tv. If someone is sitting there doing work, they block the path from the beds to the bathroom and their head blocks the TV from viewing by someone on the bed. Desk and nightstand were very scratched up. No microwave in room. Hair dryer, coffee maker and refrigerator were included. Bathroom is reasonably updated for an older overall room. Good sized room. Big meeting/conference room area and the provided breakfast was flavorful for standard fare powdered eggs, sausage patties, fried potatoes, cereal, fruit, juices and milk. The hotel felt safe and was well lit. Hotel shuttle bus driver expressed attitude toward tour bus drivers that he felt were blocking the parking lot and slowing him down from ending his shift for the day. This does not reflect well upon the hotel considering dozens of guests witnessed the verbal exchange. Would stay here again depending on pricing and availability.
Stayed in their least expensive room for one night. The hotel is only 20 minutes walk from the metro station. The bed was comfortable.
Horrible experience staying in this hotel. Their website states minifridges and microwaves are available upon request, however they charge for it which was nowhere mentioned. There is no room service available, bathtub was scraped out, ice vending machine on the floor and the telephone in the room wasn t working. Upon calling the front desk from mobile and asking how to reach out to the bar or the reception, the staff by name DJ Payton unapologetically in a plain tone said make a call from your mobile just like you did now . Uncourteous staff, never going back.
Staff and housekeeping were all super friendly!!! Room was clean! Hallways and foyer areas carpet was stained but does that really matter??
I had to pull off into this hotel for a medical emergency today. I had lost my speech. The staff was all very kind and attentive. After an ER trip, I came back and got a room. The room was wonderful for the price. Very clean, great amenities. Even though I only stayed 4 hours, I'm glad I pulled into here by random chance. Will keep this place in mind in the future when I visit the Western shore of MD.
SO LET ME TELL Y'ALL SOMETHING! so me and me wife book a room here on short notice. We get to the place and the inside looks nice. We go to check-in however AND THATS WHEN WE DISLIKE THIS PLACE. This blad headed, crusty beard, 4 eyed dude was straight up rude. I show him my id and my debit card and i admit my debit card was messed up but this dude just wanted to makeba big deal out of it. Like seriously bro its my card!!! And then i find out theres not only the money for my room on hold but a 100 DOLLAR HOLD ON MY ACCOUNT. and when i ask kindly about this he just dissmisses my questions as if i ought to know there was gonna be a hold. Yo if yall see this dude walk away. BUT AS FOR THAT KIND LATINA LADY AT CHECK OUT SHE DESERVE A RAISE!
Nice place but parking during an event is stressful
Slightly out of the way, 20 minutes by taxi to reach the center, but excellent value for money.
Area was so so. Hotel was also so so. Nice hotel but close to worth what I paid to stay here.
Location is great, room is clean but service is lacking. No clear signs for elevator or parking. Rude security personnel that love to yell.
DO NOT STAY HERE, BED BUGS!!!!
i stayed here as a weekend getaway, and as i was leaving i noticed quite a few small red bites on me. I immediately go to the doctor and low and behold, they were bed bug bites.
I'm now stuck with disinfecting all that i traveled with.
Side note: i tried contacting the hotel about the incident and have not received any type of phone call. Very unprofessional.
Will never return
I really enjoy staying here. Been here multiple times. The rooms are nice, the location is awesome.
Well the desk woman was Awful !! Rude is being polite! She gave me a hard time when checking in. Then handed me keys, which of course didn t work! Up the elevator and end of the hall walk and back down only for her to hand me two new cards within a split second! And they worked! Why hand me deactivated keys to start? Then laugh about it! I travel every weekend! This hotel will be banned by my company!
Oh and the carpet is filthy!!! And the sheets on one bed were dirty! Bathroom towels looked like they were re-folded!
Very upset with this hotel charging a ridiculous $100 deposit that we don't have! We pre-paid for our room so now we are out $75 for the room and still have to sleep in the car IN THE COLD tonight!!! I will steer everyone I know AWAY from this hotel!
Great service. There is a few restaurants around. a bar and restaurant in the hotel.
Rooms are clean and maintained but all furniture and furniture become out of date.. poor reception. No swimming pool. Long waiting before room allotment.. reason is room cleaning is going on..waited for more than 3 hours..too far from Washington DC.
I only went to the bathroom in there but it was clean and the front desk was clear about the directions to it.
Egh it was a place to stay. I can say it was clean from what I could see on the inside. But not on the out. It was old and dingy looking.
1/15-1/18 We arrived. There are no busboys so we loaded everything into the cart. The doors are not automatic so thankfully we had enough people in our party (4) so we could open the doors and push the cart in. There was only one person at the front desk and did not greet us. We went up to our room, the hallway rugs are dirty, old and wrinkled. To top it off our keys did not open the door. We had to go back down and get them programmed. Apparently they weren't in the first place. We enter the room and the bathroom is spacious nice mirror. There was a hair on the bathroom wall. Ew. The bathtub paint was peeling. Another ew. The beds seemed nice and the entertainment center. There was a small coffee machine. The bedsheets were stained though upon further inspection and terribley uncomfortable. Woke up each day with back pain and shoulder discomfort. Not too many tv channels but acceptable. Dinner is limited and the server is also the bartender. She provided the menus and took the orders. She obviously has no training because she did not ask us for our drink orders and did not know if we could customize the orders. Also did not know how long it would take. Was on her phone too. Dinner wasn't too shabby, portions are small though. We saw a mouse scurry in the lobby area. Breakfast is potato pieces, scramble eggs, sausage patties and links, and oatmeal. There is also two types of cereal and two types of orange juice and two types of coffee. There is an ihop within walking distance. The elevator doors were stained. This hotel just needs for the employees and managers to give it more attention that's all. Attention to detail. I would not stay again and do not recommend. If it is a last resort and the cheapest thing you can find within half hour of D.C. then stay but we did not find it an enjoyable stay.
Room was clean, but bed was uncomfortable. In the room is coffee machine and fridge. Breakfast was poor. Elevator was broken.
There was plenty of available parking when we arrived, walking up to the front desk we were greeted by both people at the front desk were very professional and friendly. We decided to have a drink at the bar before dining in their restaurant. Since it was a slow night, the young woman at the bar also was acting as the server in the restaurant and she was a gem. The food prices were reasonable and the quality was surprisingly good as their prices were so low. They did not skimp on quality or size of their servings. One nice touch was while we were first seated at a table and she had run into the back to check on something for us, an individual came by asking if we were being taken care of and if we needed anything, including water. I told him that we were fine. But it was nice to see management paying attention to what is happening with their guests, it shows that they care. The room itself was large, very clean and very comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job and it is very much appreciated. One touch I like is that the inner light at the door going on automatically by motion, which is great late at night so you do not walk into a dark room. There was a good size TV in the room, plenty of closet space and it had a nice appearance to it. The hotels provides a very nice buffet in the morning at no cost. Coffee, juices, eggs, bagels, potatoes, fruits and more. Check out took literally 20 seconds. I was greeted, asked my room number then told that was it! One last feature is the shuttle that they provide takes you to the metro station at no cost. It was a great stay, we will be back next year when we do an expanded visit to the area. Besides having free parking, which is a big perk in the DC area, there is a shopping center across the street with a Starbucks and an International Grocery Store! On our way out we visited both. Thanks for a great stay, we will be back.
Stayed here for awhile. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was nice. Staff was very accommodating.
This is such a nice hotel, and the location is excellent. Staff are so nice.
Just to make one thing clear, I did not pay for my own room so I cannot comment on the whether or not it's a good value. Upon arriving, my room mates and I inspected the sheets for bed bugs very thoroughly and we did not find any. The rooms do come with a coffee maker, fridge, and TV. The room was cleaned thoroughly. At 7am we had the complimentary breakfast which consisted of eggs, sausage patties, potatoes, french toast, cereal, etc. The food was very good. The hotel has a modern interior and I did not have an issue with parking. I would stay here again.
It's my first night and this place is so bad already. I'm here for a march and the beds are uncomfortable, the elevators smell like popcorn and feet, the rooms are rundown, and our shower water flooded the bathroom even though we had the shower curtain covering. Tiles were chipped in the shower, fake eyelashes and leotard found in a room, and stains on the floor. Definitely would not recommend.
Do not stay at this hotel mold is everywhere from lamp shades to tub elevator has been broken for two months, ceiling is peeling, burns or some other black stains on sheets, water doesn't get hot
I really did not want to give a star we came back in town me and my family Stay at this hotel give $100 deposit the room was ok but never hot water we told tham many times the say if we don t like it here yous can leave how rude it s been over a month never receive my hundreds dollars deposit liers oh the never no manager
