Bar and restaurant were closed. TV had no DVD player. Addled the front desk if I brought a DVD player if I could plug it in and they said yes. Got a DVD player and brought it to the room and it didn't work. Asked the desk went and they said, "Yea, those tvs don't really work with DVD players." Checked out and stayed somewhere else. Won't be back.

Pretty standard. No automated front doors, soda machines don't work, no onsite laundry, and front desk doesn't answer the phone. Other than that, it was a decent stay. No loud neighbors, or floor stompers from the above.

Checking in our initial bedroom was being treated for bed bugs the second room that we had been given had trash under the mattress I would not suggest this establishment to anybody coming in this area

Certainly not the nicest place I ve stayed, though for the price, it s not a bad hotel at all. Definitely prefer the Marriott, but that s just personal preference. Rooms feel clean, though very dark. Airy foyer and polite staff. Plenty of parking outside, and bed not too bad.

If I could give0 stars... I would. I m staying here for school trip and this place is horrible. We walked into our room and it reeked of mildew. We tried to switch rooms but the hotel is apparently booked . (How could this dump be booked). The people in my room, including me, are all becoming nauseous. The wi-if sucks, food is disgusting, and the shower has hairs and scum as well. Avoid this place at all costs.

Good spacious hotel next to the train station. Reasonable prices too.I have stayed here a few times. However on my last visit, I noticed a bedbug on my sheets in the morning. Was quite disappointed.

I don't know where to start, but I will try to describe my experience. No smile on faces of staff, requested a king bed and got two double bed (for a couple!), filthy carpet on uneven floor, tiny bathroom sink, no towel hanger close to shower, warm water at the best with water minimal force, no ice machine on the floor where room was assigned, I had to call the front desk (which was of no assistance or comfort) because any one of their intercom was not working), breakfast time was only until 9:30( on weekend!), only had french toast bread, no option for a vegetarian, and much more to describe. I hope you get the idea. I wonder how did they manage to receive high satisfaction rate?

Nope! don t book a room here. VERY outdated. Cheap plastic baskets are used to hold the extra towels under the sink. Carpet is filthy. The AC unit sounded like it was taking its last breath! Oh wait, It did! vending machine broken. Breakfast is pretty basic. Would like to see yogurt as choice.
UPDATE: My husband just climbed 10 flights of stairs b/c the elevator is out today!!!
UPDATE: Noise from other guests kept me up till 1:00Aam. complained twice.

Friendly and helpful front desk staff, reasonably professional. Accommodated a request for a corner room with no hassle. Rooms are spacious and decently tasteful, but definitely dated.

Location is good, with close highway access and several restaurants and stores within a mile.

Maintenance was the biggest issue. Severe water damage in the bathroom drywall, chipped paint and rust along the windowsill and blinds. The rooms were clean, just neglected.

Soon after my check in I received perverted text messages offering sexual favors. I looked up the phone number and figured out it belonged to the man running the front desk. Upon check in I gave them my credit card and drivers license (standard procedure), I had to cancel my credit card and he probably knows where I live from the address on the card. I contacted management and they refused to send the employee home. They offered to give me my money back in 7 days. Feeling unheard, helpless, and violated at the moment. I cannot wait to checkout tomorrow. Sexual harassment shouldn't be overlooked simply because it was delivered in a digital format. I showed them my phone and will give them any records they desire from my provider to prove unequivocally that this man harassed me. But they will more than likely offer a half baked apology on here to save face. You CANNOT trust these people with your private information.

Came here for an event in the ballroom. The event itself at the ballroom was great. The immediate front desk area seemed clean. Because I was there for the event I can't comment on the room and the style of the room or whether or not the rooms are clean.

Inattentive concierge, lack of personality. There is a mildew smell throughout the entire hotel. Dirty bathrooms, mildew around the bathtub. Not a well kept hotel. The bed was very comfortable. Rooms have been updated but only the sleeping area. Flatscreens (but no channels) no microwave.

We stayed here when we visited dc. It was a short drive out. There were places to eat and shop in walking distance. The hotel was airy and needed some updating. The staff was accommodating.

I call this hotel to make a reservation. Someone there picked the phone and put it right on hold without even answering the call. I called back and the same thing happened. I called again same thing happened, I waited 30 seconds then someone came on the line which was rude giving very short answers with an attitude. I asked her if they had a corporate office she said no, only a general manager. I just disconnected the call. Don't see how this place stay in business with so many bad reviews. It's obvious the staff needs customer service training. f it wasn't for the customers she wouldn't have a job. Management should take heed to this.

Just about as cheap as you can find near DC for a really decent hotel. I read a lot of mixed reviews but this seemed to be the best bet for my buck. $400 for 4 nights after taxes really is not bad, and I do not have to deal with drive up motels, bed bugs, mold, or many of the other things I feared I would run in to. This isn't the most modern hotel, but it has free wifi, flat screen TVs, and clean, spacious rooms. Plenty of parking, immediately off a highway, and in what seems like a decent neighborhood. Definitely not a bad neighborhood anyway. Also its only about 20 minutes away from downtown driving.

The only dislikes I have after 3 nights here is that the walls are a little thin. I can hear the noisy people on the floor above move, and from the hallways you can hear just about everything happening in other people's rooms. Good thing I got a room at the very end of the hall I guess. That alone can be a dealbreaker for some but again, for the price I am OK with this. Also, the water pressure (at least in our room) of the shower sucks and I do hate that.

Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised and I would definitely recommend this place

I called to see the rates for a group event and the woman who answered the phone was not pleasant. First she hung up on me, then asked if I am booking. I was checking rates and she became unhelpful. Never called me back like she said she would. I would take my business elsewhere. My advice for management is train this lady over in customer service. She didn't even State her name.

I wasn't happy with this hotel. I requested more towels and they took forever to come. When they did, they didn't bring what I asked for. Also, it took quite a while for the water to heat up.

Hotel is a little worn. Room was comfortable enough. Door latch on room was broken, not something you like for a hotel room. Staff was great, very helpful. Convenient to the METRO, hotel offers a shuttle which was one of the main reasons we stayed at that hotel. Would stay there again, knowing it is a three start until my opinion.

The place lacks luster. The only good thing is the price. A low point for me was the old and worn out gym equipment. Also the cleaning wipes to sanitize the gym equipment was entirely dry. Its definitely made me nervous. A plus, Starbucks and few other places are in walking distance. The restaurant and bar do not have a plethora of diverse options. Nothing heathy (vegetarian or vegan). There is an odor in the halls. The rooms lack vibrancy. It was like a motel in my opinion. I would have definitely sprung extra for a Hilton or Marriott. I won't stay again. Also, anyone can book a room here because it's cheap. I did not feel safe.

I stayed two nights with my fiancee at the Hotel. The location is convenient, has places to eat or go shopping very close.

The room was quite clean, although we found a lipstick under the bed. The carpet was a bit sticky, but the bathroom was pretty clean. Breakfast was ok. It's a pretty cozy hotel if you're not fussy.

My only complaint is that they take too long to return the $100 deposit. In fact, I was there more than 5 days ago and I still do not get my money back.

The room my wife and i were in was musty due to the AC or lack of it working properly. The attendent was quick and courtious with responding to our request for an upgrade. The place was sold out because of a wedding but we weren't disturbed with a lot of rukus. Overall it was a decent experience. I have been there before and would ho again.

Better than you thought. But not much better. Metro Points is slightly better than a motel, a safe and clean place to rest your head. The staff is brusque, choosing notes that outline policy, instead of adopting a more accommodating policy.

The rooms are old, with well worn carpets, that feel moist to the touch, even though they aren't wet. Unnerving. Faded wallpaper that needs to be replaced, closet doors that can't close etc.

The location is great, within walking distance from the train station, and opposite a decent shopping mall, with good food options.

The visitors are great, either families or football fans (usually the latter) and quite nice.

Horrible place. When we reached here after 10:00, there was a party in the main room. There was atleast 4/5 customers in the line to checkin. There is only 1 person at the desk attending the demands of the party people and also trying to checkin. Only 1 eleavator was working. Also next day at the breakfast - there was only 1 person at the eating area. The tables were dirty and not cleaned up. The only good thing about this hotel was the location and the Hotel Manager who promplty replied to my goole review . When u come to hotel with family and kids the breakfast should be of order for it's for kids place. My recommendation - Hire an extra person or two to help during the rush hours.

The lobby and front looks great. However our room was outdated, the curtain/blind was hanging, it was not the cleanest. The bedsheets was horrible its like made of plastic or the sheet was inside the plastic. It was so hard. Lucky we were just there to sleep. Plus point they have a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off to the train station it's close to shops - Starbucks and Ihop.

Came to Maryland for a business trip and thought this hotel would be great for a quick ride. Not so. I booked the hotel as a "bundle package" through Travelocity but called Travelocity first few hours after arriving for a partial refund . . . hotel located in a not so safe part of town so wanted to relocate but was told NO REFUNDS. Mmmm, guess I will have to hope no robbing takes place--or worse. Travelocity offered apologies. Called the front desk to ask about manager and staff not so eager to help. Finally told "Nora?" would be in the next morning. Do not feel safe here at all. Not what I expected from the Internet, beautiful display of the hotel. Have notified family about the no refund in case a mugging should happen.

Came with a large group of students on a trip, and we had all read the reviews. We were all very precautious and did what we could to prevent bed bugs. It was a very scary experience to say the least. Fortunately, none of us experienced bed bugs, but it was very clear that this hotel is old and dusty. The carpet was buckling in areas, there were various tiny stains scattered around our rooms. There was an ominous door in the back of our room that was bolted shut, and due to the fact that it was nighttime, we could only make out the fact that the room behind it was very creepy and dirty. We found out it was just a wall later, but it was odd. Saw a review about the hotel smelling like musty arms, but it only smelled like musty arms in the stairwell. Overall, it was not as bad as the reviews say it was. Our rooms were not terrible, and we were actually pleasantly surprised because we had set our expectations so low. The air conditioning works very well. It is clear that the hotel tries their best to fix their issues and get better.

The staff are fantastic and the management, Nora Larry and Kevin Beard care about you the guest as well as their employees. The food in the restaurant is top notch as well as the service by Anna and Esther. Definitely recommend this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel on July 10th and we had a reservation made online saying the hotel cost only $76 a night for 2 queen side beds. But then when we arrived, they charged us an extra $100 deposit and told usthey would return the money back onto our card if we followed the nonsmoking policies. I was with my husband and 2 children and neither of us smoked. None of us smoked anything and they didn't give back our $100 deposite! Isn't this illegal borrowing money without any interest?
There is no record that you refunded the money to my card immediately as you claimed would happen. Over a week has passed and yet I haven't received an email. I am so pissed off with your crooked charge because the room should of been checked right after we checked out and the money should of been given back to us right then like many other hotels I stay at do. I am really dissapointed with this hotel. So rude and cruel. Definitely do NOT recommend!

Inhospitable. I got here and paid for a 2 bed room, nothing fancy, I read the reviews on the way there and they were either great or trash, but whatever. I'm not wasting my money. I should have gotten out when I could have. I got in to the room and it only had one bed, along with that, it was insanely dirty, same with the curtains and everything else. There was no air filter in the vent in my room, just an empty metal passage, paint was chipping off of the ceiling. I was expecting a bad hotel, but this was just awful.

Metro Points had to have been the best hotel that I've been in in a while. The service and quality of the establishment places this hotel in a league of its own. The exercise facility was a little smaller than i expected but was large enough for me to get a good workout in.

It was pretty nice for the price, but that receptionist Justin.is rude and unwelcoming.if I didn't reserve it already I'd walked away.it really deserves 5 star but he really stunk reception wise.

The room had a particular smell. Not like it smelled bad but just particular. The rooms were fine, the area was alright. The service was good, we didn't try the food but im sure it would have been fine. There was some yelling on our floor which isn't necessarily the hotels fault but it wasn't fun either. But overall a okay stay.

Great breakfast. Liked the restaurant seating but surprised they left stained ceiling tiles up from some leak. Its small things like that that will make a place look dumpy. Decor is dated, but the rooms are functional and comfortable. Also surprised by the lack of a microwave. Lots of outlets available in the room if you have a lot of electronics to plug in so that's nice.
