Very easy company to work with from booking to che...

Very easy company to work with from booking to checkout. Altitude Adjustment was an unbelievable home!!!! Kitchen was big and well stocked. Rooms were huge and baths top of the line. Game room and hot tub exceeded our expectations. Railey Realty posted the home true to form. We will definitely be back....had a lot of fun!!!!!

Great place that had everything we needed. Good price and clean. Lacked some of the "extras" that really set some properties above the rest in this area but that's to be expected from larger vacation rental companies. House we stayed in could have really used some blinds in the vaulted ceiling windows - main room was all but unbearable between 10am and 4pm; something a traditional house would have had/noticed but that goes missed in a vacation rental. All in all, would recommend and will consider visiting again.

I rented the property Azure from Deep Creek for the Thanksgiving holidays and was not satisfied at all. The good thing that happen was that my family and I were allowed early access. The property structure and configuration would be sufficient for a vacation but the amenities should be updated. The optics were questionable as we visibly saw mouse traps which is a turn off. We found a few pieces of furniture stained and in the closet a pillow with mold. There was an issue with the TV's working and then finding that there was no basic cable only ROKU. Some of the basic channels we could not get, so no Thanksgiving football. The first night was a bummer for the basement bedroom as the Hot Tub ran all night and the patron got no sleep. Then the second night we were introduced to "ants". I have stayed in a Holiday Inn in Old Town Alexandria that felt more like home and with limited space then this town home. We did not stay throughout the reservation time, we departed early. As of this review I have given feedback to Deep Creek/Rainey but have not received any response back at all. I only was asked would I rent or buy property again to which I have not interest at this time. This stems from my stay at Azure #27 in Deep Creek.

I've rented through Railey several times. The staff is attentive and helpful in guiding me through the properties so I got what I wanted. Deep Creek is a great vacation area -- year round -- and Railey is an excellent service to use in finding a home rental

Vacationers Bliss was better than I expected after...

Vacationers Bliss was better than I expected after reading old reviews and seeing pictures. For instance; 3 of the tvs are now updated to flat screens. 4 more tvs are still tube tvs (each master suite and bdrm downstairs). House could use a fresh coat of paint everywhere but mostly the stairs and kitchen. I had no problem with the hot water and love that the bathrooms have a heat switch. You'll probably want to bring beach towel for pool, paper towels, body wash, hand soap and maybe even your favorite pan to cook with. This is a great house for you and young kids. This is not the best house if you are wanting something to show off to friends. 3.5 star house that feels like a comfortable home. SN: About 20 minutes from Walmart and 10 from a Mcdonald's and gas station.

weekend cut short due to silly late check out rules. Inquired about checking out late and paying the associated fee months before our vacation. Was told we had to wait until 48 hours prior to check out to achieve a late check out. A person booked the same day as we were leaving and we could not stay the majority of the afternoon due to this, even though I had asked about it numerous times before. Seemed as though they did not care about us, the customer, they only wanted to squeeze as much money and as many bookings as they could out of the location. Made all 12 of us very upset as some individuals had to travel long distances to spend a weekend with friends that was cut short.

We stayed at the Perfect Getaway through Deep Creek Lodging and had a wonder stay and rental experience. They had many homes to choose from and we found a great place for a family reunion. Everything was done on-line. We were pleased with the home, it was clean, the beds were made and we had no problems while we were there, There was a keyless entry that required a code that worked great so there was no line to wait in to pick up keys at the office. We would recommend Deep Creek Lodging and this home.

our group of friends stayed at stairway to heaven for a long weekend over veterans day ~ the home is beautiful with five king masters, three distinct indoor living spaces and many outdoor spaces. the outdoor fireplace on the porch was wonderful as was the hot tub. our only complaint is the early check-in and late check-out fees, which are fairly high, especially in the off season when no one was departing as we were arriving or arriving as we were departing. just a thought for some tweaking. overall, a good experience -- thank you railey.

We had a group of 8 ,and stayed at the Captain s Quarters. This was our first time renting from Railey Vacations and Deep Creek Lake Area, we all had an amazing time. The house was very clean except for a few minor things left outside by previous renters. I would suggest they update the gas grill as the pilots were rusted out which gave us a few issues but we made it work. Overall I give it 5 stars! We will be considering this vacationing here again in the near future.

We loved our stay at Bright Passage #22. The hot tub was amazing, clean, and fit 6 adults with plenty of room to spare. Plenty of sleeping space and probably could have fit 9 adults comfortably. Only complaints were that we had a little trouble with the wifi, and fireplace did not have propane. Everything was comfortable and great location. Would come back for sure!

I would give negative stars if possible. This company is absolutely awful. We booked multiple houses through this company for an upcoming wedding in October. We spoke with multiple people and said we will only book with an option of a full refund should the wedding have to be postponed due to covid (not because we are choosing not to come, but due to the PANDEMIC). This was agreed to, we even wrote it and questioned it in our contract. Unfortunately, the wedding has had to be rescheduled. We planned to cancel the houses for now and rebook when the wedding date was set for the following year. They have refused to give a refund, claim they never agreed to this and now we have to involve lawyers. The worst part is not only are they awful to deal with, they have lost business for all of our family coming the following year. Everyone is so disappointed in this awful service in a time like this, that we have all agreed we will stay with another company even if it is further away. This is beyond disappointing and some of the worst service I have seen in such times. We will be informing all wedding guests to go somewhere else. Don't waste your time.

I would give a zero if I could. I arrived for check in and was told that the previous guest spilled water in one of the bedrooms and someone would be out to clean it. Well this was no water spill it was a leak. I immediately called guest services and was transferred to Leslie Miller, who was very rude over the phone. She told me that they would send someone out to cover the spill with a carpet and use air freshener to help with the smell. I couldnt believe that this was her solution, this was unacceptable. We had serveral small childern one who was asthmatic and another who was disabled . We spent over an hour on the phone arguing back and fourth, so much for the customer is always right. So she then sent maintenance out who confirmed that it was a leak and mildew. She still refused to move us, I decided to drive to the office to speak with her in person. She then said she would see would she could do. She gave me the option of staying in my current rental with mildew and a horrible smell or moving to the only thing she claimed was available. I had family and friends who flew in and drove hours for an event I had planned. I was also being rushed because they were closing soon. So I had no chose but to take what was given. By the time we moved from the first house into the second our day was gone and ruined. She said that I would be refunded for half of my day. To make a long story short, I was later emailed saying that I would not be issued a refund because the house was left not cleaned. I have stayed in homes with railey over 10 times. And never once have I ever left a house uncleaned. I am well aware of there policy and would never do such. This will be the last of my money they ever see. I will rent with Taylor Made moving forward.

Hot tub has been broke since we got here. Called after few hours of being here was told they will send someone. No one came. Next day called was told part was ordered to call back to see when part would be in. I called back and was told the hot tub would not be fixed during our stay. Very disappointing as this is a main reason we booked this house. There should be some accommodation made to us. This is unacceptable.

We spent lots of money on a lakefront home, Hickory Ridge, which was in a great location with a very nice yard, but the house itself, as well as the dock, were completely neglected. The basement was foul smelling and unventilated (windows were rusted shut) to the point where we did not utilize any of the game tables. The dock was down right hazardous with rusty, popping nails, and was not set out into the water to where we could enjoy swimming or park our boat safely. There were few ceiling fans to balance out the lack of air conditioning, and the plug-ins were so dirty and useless (so old that the fan blades were bent to where they did not blow air) we set them outside and purchased our own. Our granddaughter hurt her foot on a protruding floor nail in the living room. There is clearly no investment by the owners to keep the place up or provide expected amenities, yet Railey markets and prices the home as a premium rental, even advertising that it had recently been renovated (we could not figure out what that claim was based on). We are not going to rent from Railey again and would definitely recommend that families with children avoid this property.

House was beautiful, clean and cozy. What I especially liked is that the kitchen was loaded with pots, pan, and cooking utensils. Which can be a pain when you stay at vacation homes. The Hot Tub was clean and easy to access. The check out time was a little to early but it was easy and hassle free.

Vacation rental Pinnacle View was in need of maint...

Vacation rental Pinnacle View was in need of maintenance and cleaning. There were many things in need of repair and the carpet and furniture are stained and dirty. There is no door on the master bath shower (a make shift curtain was hung). The jets in the jacuzzi tub left rust residue in bottom of the tub after use. Pots and pans are worn and dirty as were the pot holders. Coffee maker leaked. There is a broken recliner in the livingroom. No propane in the gas grill. Hot tub was hot one night and never got hot again. No firewood was supplied as advertised. Wasps nest above the gas grill on the deck. Deck is in need of repair as is the sliding screen door in the livingroom. It is apparent that maintenance, cleaning and homeowners are not committed to keeping this property clean or in good repair. Maintenance came and put the slider back on tracks, but did not fix the problem. Firewood showed up after 3 calls. No propane ever arrived. Rental agency was reluctant to refund any money, but when pressed refunded $250 plus a $100 voucher for a future stay at any property. We are convinced that the pet friendly homes are not well cleaned or maintained as this is the 3rd pet friendly home we've rented through Railey that has been dirty and in disrepair.

This was my first experience using Railey vacation...

This was my first experience using Railey vacations & stay at Deep Creek Lake. Making the reservation was easy and I was given helpful information as the trip drew closer. The app was great for the group, loved the keyless entry & the lake view was the first thing I saw which was beautiful. The home was exactly as pictured online, inside and out. All the amenities stated were there. There were minor housekeeping/maintenance issues which were handled immediately. The staff was extremely friendly and informative. I will be a repeat visitor.

Excellent service from the initial booking all the way through to the checkout. Two minor maintenance issues upon check in were addressed with 30 minutes of their initial call as two separate instances (gas fireplace was not staying lit, and propane tank was empty). The agents were friendly and extremely helpful in helping with the selection of our home to meet our specific requests. We've booked with them in the past, and will continue to do so. Highly recommend -- five stars !

We stayed at Love and Memories after the new year and really enjoyed the place. Enough room for us to spread out and the yard was incredible for the dogs! Having a fenced in yard is a rare find and much appreciated. Highly recommend and we will be staying again!

Finding a pet friendly home is difficult. It is obvious that the owners are trying, but this house needs some help.
When we opened the door to Summer Days Winter Nights we were not impressed with the smell. This is definitely a pet home. The smell was animal, possibly urine, and rather strong. We are getting by with opened windows and air fresheners. The main floor carpeting is dated and filthy. The vent over the stove does not work. Light switches do not work, or bulbs are burned out or have been removed and not replaced.
We have stayed in other pet friendly homes and have been very pleased.
I would not recommend this property to friends and will not rebook here.

I have been renting a cabin through Railey for the past 4 years with no problem until recently. I rented a cabin for a large group ski weekend and spent about $3,000 peak rate for two nights. Upon check-in, the hot tub circuit breaker had tripped and there was ice floating in the hot tub.

I called maintenance immediately and they sent somebody out to look at it. They were unable to fix the hot tub. I was contacted by management and they suggested compensation of $150 for a main amenity of the house being unusable. The manager argued that I should be grateful because other companies wouldn't be willing to refund anything. I politely asked for $300 to be refunded, which I thought was a fair compromise on a $3,000 booking. Management would not budge.

Our entire ski weekend we went without a hot tub and management was unwilling to refund $150 more to make us happy. I made it clear that they've missed out on 24 potential future renters ever renting through them again and I hope it was worth it for their $150. Their customer service is AWFUL. If you are going to charge expensive rates for your rentals, at least have great customer service. Never renting through Railey ever again.

Leaving 5 stars because we had an overall great experience using this company for the first time and will definitely be coming back. From the start, customer service was excellent, and staff was very helpful in getting all my questions answered leading up to our trip. I had a large group for a 30th birthday celebration. The house was absolutely gorgeous and packed with the amenities we wanted. There were a couple of things we noticed that could be improved about the property. We stayed at "Be Our Guest"- a duplex. Our neighbors had a much nicer firepit than ours, which we found odd, since everything seemed to be similar other than that. We had to use trays instead of the ice in the ice maker since there was mold, and the ceiling fan in my bedroom made an annoying clicking sound all night. These were all minor things that were easy to look over. We regrettably did not even get to use the firepit or the lake because we were hit with nasty weather. All the more reason why we plan to go back!!!

Our cabin had an outstanding view. It was rustic and comfy. The fireplaces were a delight, i. e. Toasting marshmallows, drinking wine. The hot tub was not hot enough and a mechanic came out the day I called and repaired. A couple minor items needed repair but we made do. Did miss the second refrigerator. Do not bring more than 5 cars or you will be challenged to park them. Our kids loved 4 wheeling at the parks.

We booked a 4 bedroom house for the weekend, with a hot tub. We were planning on using the hot tub as it was one of the amenities that we booked the house around. Upon opening the cover it was green and had lots of trash floating in it. I called to let them know and was told that someone would be out to clean it. This never happened before our stay was over. So I m not sure why we paid the extra to have a hot tub when we couldn t use it.

My husband and I stayed at the Evergreen for our honeymoon. The home was gorgeous and very clean upon arrival. It was so nice to have the linens provided and beds made upon arrival. Both the check in and check out process were very easy and convenient. It was so cozy having the fireplace and indoor hot tub. We didn t want to leave, and cannot wait to make this home a yearly anniversary vacation spot for us!!

I stayed at Better Lake Than Never. The property was beautiful but I did come across a few hiccups while there. My shower water filled up around my ankles while showering, the water was off when we arrived to the property and the fridge leaked there whole time we were there. I had to constantly soak water up out of the fridge everyday while I was there. It also took us a whole hour to get inside the house.

If your looking for a restful vacation and something that will rejuvenate mind than look no further! This vacation home tucked into a wooded community that sits overlooking the lake is just for you. My family and I enjoyed the crisp clean air and amazing views while enjoying the many amenities of the lake community hiking, kayaking, and swimming. The local people are nice and enjoy striking up conversations if you like that kind of thing. Most importantly my family enjoyed the time together!

Location is great but Summer Song rental is need of some updates. Hot tub was broken all week and owner didn't want to pay immediately for repair. Low water pressure and slow draining tubs and toilets. Deck needs sanded and painted. Appliances are past their prime.

Our house (Gables by the Lake) was dirty and swarming with flies when we arrived. There wasn't any outdoor deck furniture and two of the three screen doors were broken. Also, the grill didn't work (but Railey did come out and fix it a day later). Next time, we'll try a different rental company like Taylor-Made, which we haven't tried yet, and hope for a better experience. The weather was great.

A group of us from Ohio had rented this home and paid for the week in full before checking in. Only I had been to DCL before and was hoping to have a nice time. The house we rented was not cleaned properly. The people that cleaned the house were teenagers evident by the card that was left and the handing-writing in the note. The whole stay was completely ruined by the fact the whole second floor air conditioning was broken. We paid over $2400 for the week, and were assured by staff that the customer service team would reimburse us some money for our inconvenience. We just got the call.... They are giving us back $150. Not even 10% of what we spent. What a slap in the face. We plan on making DCL a yearly vacation. Never staying with this company again.

Overall it was a nice trip and the people at Railey were super nice and helpful. Only downfalls were no air conditioning and some of the windows wouldn't open. Also the pictures were misleading as we thought we booked a place on the lake and not at the top of a mountain.

We stayed at Live a Little for a Christmas break get-away. The experience with Railey Vacations was great! Easy to book & manage our reservation. The house was extremely clean and had all of the amenities our group needed. We were about a 3 minute drive to Wisp. And we were across the street from Canoe on the Run, which is great for a quick, light breakfast, lunch or coffee. We all really enjoyed our stay and will use Railey Vacations again in the future!

Was told that upper management would work with us about a refund during the pandemic when state wide bans for travel were put in place. As you can see, upper management commented about this on reviews. However, this is all lip service, just being done to save face. My group has called several times to speak with upper management, and they ignore our calls. They pocketed our money despite pandemic.
Complete lack of customer service.

Had a fantastic experience with Railey. Easy and fast check-in. Had a minor issue where we needed maintance - and they were out within an hour. Thoughtful to leave a little gift bag for the guests (did not expect that - so nice surprise). Sheets and towels provided were good quality (I m very picky). Overall fantastic experience with Railey.

Wish I could put zero stars but I can t. Thanksgiving trip from HELL. (Excuse my language) My family and I had to be subjected to mice droppings on bed, pillows and sheets to be exact. On the late night, early morning of Thanksgiving. My family and I arrived on 11/21/2018 (Wednesday night) the day before thanksgiving and from the first look of the rental home it seems an older home but was well taking care of. However, once we looked around the home it seemed it wasn t cleaned for quite some time. It had dust everywhere, the floors looked dirty, the couches had stains, mirrors in the living room were covered with dust. The worst part was we continued to see mouse droppings from the kitchen, to the bedrooms where we found mice droppings on the pillows, sheets and on the floors behind the bedroom floors and the closets. The mice droppings were even on the benches under cushions in the kitchen area. There was even a large hole behind the stove were mice and rodents had easy access. We immediately called the emergency number on our paperwork and the maintenance representative said it was really nothing they could do but come and put mouse traps and the housekeeping could change the sheets. We stayed we wanted to be moved however, they said it wasn t possible. We ended up staying only one night instead of 3 nights and we had a horrific trip and wasted $2,000. Don t ever go through this company. They don t care about the customer. This was a total rip off.

American Eagle Lodge provided eight bedrooms and large living spaces which were very comfortable for large family. Used site several years.
Reservation, direct key-less check-in and checkout processes were smooth and effective. House is at the end of a short access road to Lake's edge, which provides a quiet location. One of two hot tubs was not working and generous compensation was provided for this inconvenience. Notice was provided at end for items requiring attention. Overall very pleasant experience. Recommended.

Boone's Trail was a great stay!! GREAT neighborhood and location. I would have given it 5 out of 5 stars if it had been maintained a little better. The walls are pretty rough in spots and there was a large crack/punch in the master bathroom door which I was very surprised to see. Just little things - washer didn't run through the whole cycle, dishwasher knob was detached. If those things don't bother you then this place is perfect!

We stayed at one of their properties, Reel Paradise, for my bachorlette weekend July 12-14 and it was amazing! The property was SPOTLESS when we arrived, very beautiful house with great extras like the hot tub, pool table, grill and dock. Great location on the lake and amazing view from the balcony. Looking into making this a yearly trip after this past weekend!!

THe property was in overall poor condition. There was no air conditioning and several of the windows did not open. Several of the blinds on the windows did not work. THe screen door out to the deck ws broken. The deck was in poor condition with nails sticking up in places. Several of the steps to the dock were broken. Their were ants all over the kitchen. The charcoal grill was in poor condition - no propane grill. While we were there the bathroom shower stall and broken bathroom window were repaired. I have been staying at Deep Creek Lake at Railey properties for many years - this was clearly THE WORST. I will not use Railey again!

We stayed at one of their properties over Christmas week. The day before we arrived they said the sauna did not work and they would credit us $350 for the inconvenience. It is now 3+ weeks since we left and I have called them 5 times because we have not gotten the credit. I have left voice mails and was told that someone would call me back. They even checked their notes and said he credit had been approved on 12/20/20. They have been non-responsive. I will look to rent from another company next time.

Nice looking house. Scenery around it is nice. Close to everything. Would of been more stars but water comes out brown in tub forever and beds are uncomfortable. Good rental for a bunch of drunk guys but not best for a family.

Well I have never used Railey Mountain Lake Vacati...

Well I have never used Railey Mountain Lake Vacations before and I don't think I would EVER again. We encountered a situation where our cabin was infested with BED BUGS and it contained dishes that were dirty.

Three of the members of our 13 person group woke up with welts on their arms from bites and management refused to listen to our complaints. Instead they promised they would put us into a different cabin and then told us there was no availability despite what their website said.

After we threatened to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Health department they said they would give us a refund and two free ski passes. When we said that was a slap in the face since they knowingly (earlier in our conversation they said they treated the cabin the week before) put us in a room that was not confirmed to be pest free they said they would give us 13 free passes if we refused to write unsatisfactory comments or post pictures of the welts we received.

Be careful when renting from them and check the beds before settling in. Should you encounter issues be prepared for an uphill battle if it inconveniences the manager or the owner.

Horrible Company. In the midst of Covid and having a planned get together. We had several couple and personnel in our party that are deemed essential workers and on the frontline. This company was told that in advance. They purposely wanted to wait to see if a order or relaxed order would come into play. We have contacted them several time well in advance to move the date and they were not accommodating. They pretty much said take the time you booked and we don t care what Pandemic or state the country is in. So $600 of a deposit will not be refunded because they would not allow us to move the date because we have essential workers within our party. I hope you feel the same effects of this pandemic monetary wise because of your lack of compassion for people actually saving lives. We were okay without a return in payment, we just wanted to move the date to something available because of the pandemic. I pray you don t see another dime for your establishment and people be honest with how they were treated.

It was a wonderful, peaceful weekend. The mountains were beautiful. Due to COVID, a number of attractions were not available ( boat tours, white water rafting)but we were able to find things to do(horseback riding). The townhouse we rented was great and fit our needs.

We stayed at Moondancer. The house set up and views were unbelievable. There were some things that were definite misses though but all are easily correctable. The nursery had no heat so we had to request space heaters for the room with a baby in the crib. (response time was great with someone bringing 2 space heaters to the house) Also, one of the bathrooms did not have a working toilet and it had leftover urine in it. (We did call about this and because of covid asked to not have anyone come to the house). Lastly, one of the bathrooms had a chunk of hair in the shower from a previous visitor. If the cleaning and maintenance are improved, we will 100% stay here again but it's definitely about the details.

My family had an amazing time at almost Aspen for christmas week? The kitchen was fully equipped with literally everything! Guest service and property service were easy accessible and great timing.
Only suggestion I have is to make sure driveways are salted it was hard getting in and out

We did not have a pleasant experience unfortunately. We stayed at Cedar Vista 6/14 - 6/17. The home was not at all up to par and we wasted our money! Upon check-in we noticed several issues but didn't seem to be bad enough to complain until the pool wasn't working properly and the hot tub was also broken and leaking. After finally speaking with someone in the management office about the pool having too much chemical in the water and the hot tub being cold and leaking, I was informed by an agent/employee in their office that I would be compensated for one night's stay prior to being given an amount for the credit for the pool and hot tub. I didn't request it, it was offered without me even having to ask. They then went back and declined the initial refund claiming I was never told I would be compensated for one night's stay. I do feel that this is poor customer service (especially under the poor circumstances) and a refund in the amount for one night should be honored in addition to the credit for the pool and hot tub. We could've chosen to stay anywhere else, but chose Cedar Vista and clearly wasted a lot of money - almost $4000. I also don't appreciate only receiving email communication from Tiffany (the manager) instead of providing the courtesy of returning my call and speaking with me in person vs email only. Only replying via email comes off as very dismissive and appears that she didn't care to provide common customer service.

I feel as though it is a poor decision on the property management company to only provide such a small reimbursement for a home that wasn't cleaned properly, a home that had holes in the floor covered by random rugs, dog hair throughout, a pool toy from the previous family left in the pool, too much chemical in the pool causing a rash on one of my family members, a cold, leaky and non-functional hot tub, a dishwasher that wasn't properly secured, and "heated" pool that didn't work right and then didn't even re-heat properly once the tech claimed it was fixed.

DO NOT STAY HERE! There are known issues that are not properly being addressed.

We had a fantastic time at red moose lodge. The house was even bigger in person. Our group consisted of 6 adults and 4 kids under 10; we never felt cramped.

Quite a few dishes were left with food stuck to them from the previous guests (guests are to wash & put away dishes as part of check out) and chipped, not a big deal but maybe time to replace.

Also, the physical guest book needs to be reviewed- there are some incredibly inappropriate items written, seemingly as jokes, by previous guests.

These two things don t change the review though and we would book again!

Our family stayed at Wilderness Lodge two years ago and we returned for the second time because we enjoyed it so much the first time! We have a toddler and there is so much room for her to run around and play in and outside the house. We especially love the fire pit, roasting marshmallows, and sitting out on the deck having our morning coffee because the view of the lake is beautiful. Cooking large meals is easy in the great big kitchen. It was a great 3-day get-away birthday weekend for our entire family!

Had to cancel our rental due to one of our party's members contracting Covid. Explained the situation to Railey who advised we could cancel, but we would assume the difference from what we booked at versus what the next customer books at plus an additional $300 fee. We gave ample notice in regards to the cancellation yet Railey advised us either not to cancel or pay the ridiculous fees. I'm sure everything would have been well and great had we not needed to cancel, but given the situation it's a shame Railey just flat out didn't care.

We stayed at Sunset Point in Oakland for the holid...

We stayed at Sunset Point in Oakland for the holidays.The booking was done through Railey realty and our experience with the office was wonderful. Sunset point has wonderful lake views and gorgeous sunsets. However, there were some issues with this property.
1. The main floor thermostat was not working properly and hence the fireplace wouldnt come on. We had to call over the technician to check it out twice during our 4 day stay, but the fireplace still did not work. The bedrooms on both top floors were cold during the night as a result of faulty thermostat reading
2. The water would get cold and taking showers was a challenge
3. Many light bulbs were out and the TV remotes were missing batteries. There was a hanging light fixture in one of the main bathrooms
4. The steps outside were covered with piles of wet leaves and the steps were extremely slippery and hazardous. One of our guest fell down while going down the steps
5.The neighbors complained of loud noise at 9 pm on a Friday night.There were signs inside the house about the noise and if this is an issue with the neighbors of this house , renters should be notified ahead of time.
Overall, this house requires some general maintenance so the guests can enjoy their time.

Railey has HORRIBLE customer service when there are issues with the property! The people you talk to are like robots who keep saying things like "I'm sorry you feel that way, or that's the best we can do". Every person who got in the hot tub ended up with a skin infection (pictures sent to Railey), including the kids. Instead of any kind of solution or accountability, they tried to tell us that we didn't shower before the hot tub and that was the cause! Shame on them. Rent from ANYONE else. They are the big game in town with very little competition, and it's a shame that they treat their guests like that.

We had our annual winter family weekend trip to Deep Creek and stayed at Pinnacle Perch. The home was very nice and the 10 of us had no problem finding comfortable sleeping arrangements. The wood fire place, pool table and air hockey were highlights. The location wasn't bad, about 15 minutes south of Wisp Resort. Pretty easy to find. Having 3 bathrooms was good. We felt like the price was fair. The biggest drawback was the place (and apparently the whole Pinnacle plan) has well water. The stench from the showers was overwhelming. A few of us chose to not shower at all. Maintenance came but said all the settings were okay and they ran water down a sink for 20 minutes but it didn't help. The other issue was the hot tub. The jets would shut down for hours at a time and it was smallish. Four people was a squeeze. So if you don't mind the sulfuric odor of well water and a smallish, sporadically working hot tub, this is the place for you. The only other thing they could have done was put a TV in the loft. The loft was terrific except for that.

They were very responsive with changes of policy during the Covid-19, maybe a little too many emails sent regarding payments where I wasn't sure how much I had already paid and what was still due. Had one minor repair issue that they responded too within the hour. Overall a very good experience!

Thanks to Railey Realty, our group had the greates...

Thanks to Railey Realty, our group had the greatest weekend we ve ever spent together. We (13 of us) decided rather last minute to do a Friendsgiving at the lake and then we stumbled upon Best Kept Secret cabin at Deep Creek (which I think is one of the best valued cabins around) and really, the rest is history. The check-in and check-out was too easy, and both times I called the front desk leading up to our trip, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We re already looking into next year!

The home was beautiful, the scenery was serene, and the Railey Vacations staff was accommodating. Just rented Anglers Cove for 5 days over Christmas...

Just rented Anglers Cove for 5 days over Christmas week. Was the worst rental experience my husband and I have had. We have rented outside of this area for many years but first time with a rental company and not sure we d do it again. Got a call from company 30 min before scheduled arrival saying there was no heat and (said someone already been there and just ran to get a part) there was a leak in the roof but felt it wouldn t be a problem going forward. We had just driven 4 1/2 hours to get there. This was a 4 bedroom 3 bath home on the lake and the most expensive rental ever for us. The rental co did give us a coupon for local pizza restaurant for our trouble. House was 45 degrees on arrival, a pot on the wet sofa to catch drips, no dry wood or kindling to warm house, tv cable not working and no rental info book with how to work anything(that s never happened in 2 years of renting). When service guy arrived he said he d not been to this house yet and didn t know what problem was. (Lie #1from rental co). On calling rental co with complaints I was told he would have someone call us tomorrow to follow up. (Lie #2). Never happened. Not even in the next 5 days. He did give us an emergency # to call if heater didn t get fixed. I asked if there was anyway to get more blankets or dry firewood to warm house and they said no. HVAC serviceman said there was 3 days of no power from ice storm and blower on heater was broken. By about 7p he had it fixed and it took 3-4 hours to warm up house. Wet sofa dried after 24 hours and we had a fine remainder of vacation. Did take a lot of our time trying to figure things out without any direction which added to our frustration. Beware of customer service with this company! Won t deal with them again.

We stayed in the Marsh Hill Chalet for a short getaway just after Labor Day, and it was a fantastic post for our mini-vacation. The home was cozy, with plenty of outdoor space, and a perfect location on the lake. Railey was easy to work with, made sure we had all the information we needed to check-in/check-out/access wifi and the hot tub, and left us a sweet little welcome package. Would definitely rent from them again!

Coffee pot and outside grill were extremely dirty....

Coffee pot and outside grill were extremely dirty.
The stove had just two burners for cooking and did not have enough power.
The other two burners were for grilling.
It took a half hour to boil some water.
Some Kitchen utensils were missing eg prongs.
Dishwasher leaks.
I m my bedroom the lamp was not plugged in and it was impossible to reach the outlet.
It was very hard to control the house temperature. Downstairs rooms were cold.
Not enough glasses for wine.
TVs did not work. No cable, no Apple TV.
Management difficult to reach.
Los quality silverware.

My family visisted Deep Creek last week and it was wonderful. The Railey lakefront rental was perfect in many ways. The lake and private dock was a graduating decline of a few steps amid of mass of shade baring trees. Peaceful. and serene. The lodge was not as clean as expected especially in the middle of Covid19 age. Also, trash collection was not clearly explained and we needed to call Railey several times, but they responded promptly with all inquiries.
