My Family & I stayed with Railey Vacations.
Our house was beautiful very clean coming in, very easy check in. Quick walk to the lake, convenient for nearby attractions. I had kids ages 2-9 with us plenty to do, the adults had a blast as well. Thankyou for the stay !

Check in was easy and quick. We picked up our keys and went to the rental house which was just a few blocks away. Everything was ready and we explored the property as we were lakefront. We were able to bring our dog with us as there are many pet friendly properties on their list. We had our unit for 6 days. I did need to call the emergency line and someone answered and gave us suggestions for the problem. They ended up sending out a maintenance person right away to fix the issue. We enjoyed our time here and would book another rental through them again.

Tall Castle wasn t all that me and my family expected. The views and how spacious the home was very accommodating. I was contacted 2 days prior to my stay stating that one of my amenities was not working something that I was looking forward to yet had several conversations regarding it and was told that it would be working. Some TV s wasn t working, cable kept going in and out, no cold water for almost an entire day. If it wasn t for the ppl I traveled with I could strongly say worse vacation experience ever

We had a horrible stay at one of their properties, Will O the Wisp, in October. We rented through VRBO. Messaged the property management company several times in regards to the stay and no reply. Then today, on top of all that, they have the stones to send me marketing spam to book another stay. Not a chance.

Contactless checkin and checkout are good, Railey's app is also good. Ritz on the Lake is advertised as one of their luxury, Signature properties. We have stayed there several times and the home has deteriorated badly over the years. It has not been kept up - needs new beds, new carpeting, new patio furniture. There is also mildew in the bathrooms and water leaks in with heavy rains. The only reasons to stay here are its great location on the lake and the private dock, and it is one of few lakefront properties with 8 bedrooms. We have brought many items to Railey's attention, with no results. The home was recently sold, so we are hoping the new owners actually care about their property and will make the needed repairs. It certainly is not a luxury property right now.

I would think twice before letting Railey give you recommendations on a rental house in Deep Creek or wherever for that matter. We rented Waterfront Chateau in Deep Creek December 2019 and it was nothing like the pictures on the Railey website. Not to mention half the amenities were not working including the hot tub, coffee pot and grills. We called Railey numerous times but they were useless. Railey put all the blame on the owners for not keeping it up to date and keeping up with the maintenance repairs. We blame both. I would think Railey Vacations would do some kind of maintenance check at some point especially if they are the management company renting the house.

Stayed at shiver me timbers cabin last weekend and had a great time. Cabin was great and the staff was very pleasant.

We loved our stay in Miles Above at deep creek lake. The house was very spacious and had ample room for the kids to play around. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. Overall, we had a great time!

My family rented the Linwood home in The Blakeslee neighborhood. The stay was wonderful and the home was really neat and tidy upon our arrival. We would definitely rent through Railey again.

We had a great experience renting through Railey. Very responsive team, always got back to us right away. We will be back!

An amazing place to stay and vacation. We had a terrific time and our condo has everything we need. The owners are amazingly attentive to any problems. We recommend Sunplace #19 highly!! (Just don't take our week when you go!)

Do not rent a vacation property with them! We purchased the trip insurance, I had to switch for business less than 4 weeks after booking. We gave them 2.5 months notice. They would not refund us the 50% deposit. They stated they would hold it until someone else vacationed in it and they would hold it for a month after that. They stated that if no one vacation in it they would keep all of the money we paid towards it. They would not apply the money towards another week at any of their properties. Your better off getting a condo or hotel room from a chain. They work with you. This is a terrible policy and the trip insurance does nothing. I will never take my family their, or recommend this company or VBRO who we used as the booking agent.

If I could give them less than a 1 star I would. We rented "Windy Acres", a Deep Creek property from Railey. The property was in terrible shape, yet Railey shows it as a 5 star on their site (7 reviews from 2017 and 2018 only). They MUST DELETE THE BAD REVIEWS of their rental properties because the conditions were deplorable. They had many broken screens which allowed every mountain bug in (bugs swarming in the house), broken doors, broken hot tub handles, inoperable electric outlets, wobbly bunk beds. And the place was dirty, only superficially cleaned. Railey property maintenance is not maintaining and just collecting their money. To make matters worse, we had two service calls in two days and their response was terrible. We had no hot water after a day at the lake and THEY REFUSED TO DISPATCH someone until the next morning. We found the next day that it was only a thermostat and that could have been easily diagnosed the evening before but they refused to send someone out and instead acted like we were being unreasonable when we had 8 people needing showers. They falsely advertised and had TERRIBLE customer service. We cut our family trip short because we could not stay at their property for another night. CONSUMER BEWARE, Do not use them.

Wonderful time spent at cabin in Deep Creek Lake. Had a repair issue and maintenance responded quickly to fix it. Very pleased with entire process, especially under covid-19 conditions. DCL was an awesome place to get away and enjoy the true beauty of nature.

We stayed at Mountain Top Manor. The home was great with its spacious floor plan, huge kitchen, large dining table and beautiful view of forest and hills from backyard. We were 16 adults. In terms of working with the Railey I found it easy to make a reservations, check-in and check-out. I called many times to ask questions in preparation and appreciate always reaching an agent. During our stay we called twice and again received quick responses - friendly and informative. I think the vacation was a good cost deal. We try to visit Deep Creek every winter and we'll be reaching out to Railey again.

I have not used Railey for a vacation rental. They managed the rental on my newly purchased home prior to me owning it. I am appalled to see that after I settled on my property, Railey entered my home without my permission when I was not at home and retrieved their sheets and towels. I understand they own these items, but they should have retrieved them prior to my purchase of the home OR contacted me to get these things. What they did equates to breaking and entering my home. They threw the bedspreads on the floor after stripping their sheets from my beds.

I rented a condo from them and we had a great time. We where there out of season but it was just as nice. I was looking forward to a relaxing getaway for the week and this was right up my alley. We had first looked at one of your competitors properties and the first rates that we given was changed once we reached out to the owner. it was a large difference and seemed like more of a scam. I'm glad i didn't give up and found your site.

We loved the house! Very spacious, we had a group of 12 and everybody was able to sleep comfortable. The housing complex was beautiful with a variety of activities to do.

We stayed at 723 Pinnacle Drive. First of all, the photos are totally misleading and enable the viewer to see an immaculately looking property. Before we committed to reserve the property, we saw that the house came with an air hockey and an arcade but after we arrived to the house, there was no air hockey table and the arcade was inoperable. That was the initial disappointment for the kids. Second of all, the house needs an overall major update. The furnitures are either old or rotten. Especially the ones outside. The bench I set right by the outside door on the third floor was rotten. When I sat on it, it fell apart because the screws had already come off from the joint parts and the legs were already unattached from the main part. Thank God, I did not hurt myself. The tables on the porch were wobbling from left to right making it impossible to put warm pots and pans. I had to tighten the screws on them so we could sit down and eat a proper meal without the fear of spilling it on ourselves. The beds were squeaking making it hard to sleep without being woken up each time you toss and turn. The pillows that were provided were so small and thin. Even the pillows that are given in airplanes are a lot comfier and thicker. By the way, there should be more than one King bed in the house when you have 2 master bedrooms. The porch floors need vanishing which really make the house look a lot older than what it is. The only part that was nice was the fireplace. However, they could have done much better seating arrangements around it. Last but not least, the outside of the bottom floor facing the fireplace needs ambient lighting. One can fall of the stairs after dark and injure him or herself. To he honest, the best thing about the property was, the wi-fi. It was fast and reliable. According to what one is being charged to spend a few days with your loved ones and friends, the service and the quality given are way below expectations.

Horrible customer service from day one on the phone. Barely seemed to care about customer satisfaction and only concerned about taking your money. Overpriced and dirty facilities. The hot tub water said 100 days OVERDUE! Yuck! Dog treats and dust in the corners of the house. Probably not the cleaning crews fault due to them being as rushed to get the next people in as they made the customer feel on the phone. Grass was not cut and could pass as a hay field.

We also called to ask to see if we could order the Mayweather fight on TV on PPV. They obviously didn't care to make another 100 bucks to satisfy a customer. When asked for the reason, the company replied "No, just No". What a joke.

Enjoy your stay at deep creep through another company.

Recently stayed at Shiver Me Timbers and it was fantastic. Everything was made easy during the pandemic, check in and check out. We had a maintenance call for our toilet and it was resolved without us even knowing. Will definitely book through Railey Vacations again!

Quick to respond to our needs. We felt comfortable with the cleanliness during the pandemic. One of our favorite family vacations ever.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Grandview Lodge. The house and kitchen were large enough to accommodate a large group. Only two suggestions: a game table or two for card and game playing and another slip on the dock.

We had a great time at Ace's Chalet vacation home. The inside of the house was beautiful and VERY clean! The ground's were well kept! As usual the staff was awesome and very helpful. We will be back in July!!

My family and myself stayed at this property for Thanksgiving and I must say the house was okay visually but the faucet in the kitchen was not working, the rooms were FREEZING COLD, and the grill did not work. I called customer services to let them know what I was experiencing and Michelle transferred me to maintenance. A gentlemen came pass to fix the faucet and said he wasn't sure what was going on with the furnace, but someone else would come pass to check it out. (He himself stated he could feel the difference in temperature throughout the house. Of course NO ONE ever came back to check on ANYTHING.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay as the cabin exceeded my expectations! I stayed in Kookookachoo and hope to book there every year! The house was clean, actually had cleaning supplies and condiments! The view of the lake was immaculate. We utilized the entire cabin from the hot tub to the fire pit. I recommend staying with 5 stars added because it was just that great!

Management was not responsive. House was nice and clean.

We stay at a home in Deep Creek that was not enjoyable at all. There were spiders and cobwebs everywhere like the home hadn't been deeply cleaned maybe ever since construction. The beds were deformed with springs coming out at every angle -- we didn't sleep well at all.

Below is what was communicated to Railey Vacations over a week and a half ago when we left the vacation home 4 nights early. They have yet to respond. I hope they tell the owner of this vacation home.

1. Dock Issue: Unfortunately the boats go by the dock so quickly that the dock gets flooded with water. We are glad we did not rent a boat, but we couldn t even swim due to the safety issues.

2. Dock Issue: The ladder is no longer attached to the dock. We see it floating under the water or sitting at the bottom of the lake, but it is not attached to the dock itself.

3. Spiders & Cobwebs: We understand there will be insects every now and again, but there were spiders in two of the beds and cobwebs with spiders on them all over the inside and outside of the cabin. Also, the lights over the cooktop are so full of cobwebs that it feels unhygienic to cook in the home.

4. Beds: All beds except the one full bed on the main level are extremely uncomfortable. I couldn t imagine the owners wanting to even sleep on them. The pillows are also the worst we have ever experienced.

Stayed at Winslow Lodge. Beautiful home, kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could have needed. Property was a wooded lot right on the lake. Large deck with a beautiful view. Railey Vacations were very easy to work with. They were helpful, responsive and friendly.

Had a nice time with the family staying by one of the Railey Vacation rental homes. However, water pressure in the shower was awful. Hardly enough to even rinse off the soap. & if anyone else from our party were using water anywhere else, just a trickle.

Got in touch with Railey about this after the stay & they refused to do anything for me. & then they started hassling me about some damage from a defective blind, even though it should be covered in the $3000 damage waiver.

Eventually, they relented on the damages, but refused to give anything for the unacceptable shower.

Not pleasant to work with & recommend people to find another company to vacation at.

They state that they have policies in place, but blatantly disregard them, unless you push back.

Vacations should be an enjoyable experience. If you want one, stay away from Railey.

We stayed at "Promises to Keep". The home was listed as having a hot tub and fireplace and is priced accordingly ($400/night). The only reason we chose this house was because of these amenities. However, upon arrival we found no hot tub. After 3 calls with Railey Vacations they finally admitted that their was no hut tub and the listing was "a marketing mistake."

We then tried to use the fireplace and realized the gas line was not connected they said they would send someone to look at the fireplace. No one ever came. The only thing they were willing to do for us was offer us discounted passes to an indoor pool during a pandemic! Luckily we booked through AirBnB and received a refund due to the lack of listed amenities.

Cleanliness: Dog poop on the deck; Dirty underwear left in the house; Inch of dust on AC units; Urine smell on comforters.

Other issues: only one bedroom had shades or blinds on the windows. Appliances were outdated and didn't work great. Front steps were broken and dangerous.

I will never rent a place managed by Railey Vacations again.

Great experience in finding and renting a house at Deep Creek. We arrived late and their system for getting keys were great. Lots of useful information and easy checkout afterwards. Will definitely use again!

Biggest disaster in vacation history. Heater was broken, furniture in home was dangerously broken and there were no blinds or curtains in picture windows in master bedroom and bathroom. Wouldn't even refund us for the money we spent at 4am to get extra blankets since it was freezing in our rental home. Poor POOR customer service!

Super dependable rental company, we ve used them for at least 20 years when we need to rent a house in deep creek and we only have good things to say about them. They come out to fix stuff if we need to, are very nice and usually know the properties we ll so they can give you good advice.

Simply amazing. When I say that the pictures don't do this place justice, I mean that 100%. We stayed at this property for 2 nights, and it was the best 2 night stay we had in Deep Creek, ever. The location was amazing, with a view you could never get sick of. The interior of the property was beautiful, as well. If you're sitting on the edge about whether or not this is the place for you, hopefully by reading this comment you trust me when I say you won't regret it! Fire-pit to cook smores, with a hot tub to relax in while enjoying the stars at night. Paddle boarding/hiking/boat riding all very close by too! Not a single person in our group had any complaints. Best weekend they had in a while, also. Thanks for making this an amazing weekend! We'll be back!

The quality of service and cleanliness has declined over the years.

My group has been using Railey Vacations for 19 years. Normally we have no problems. I like the company very much. This time, however, the house we stayed in was horrible. Do not use Westwind. We had so many problems with the house. Railey did come out and try to help, but some of the problems were just unfixable. Hopefully the owners will see this and fix the issues.

Check in and check out is quick, simple, and contact free. The reservation process is also quite simple. Being able to do everything remotely in this day and age is a big plus. The house was clean and well kept.

An amazing place to come and relax. Amazing activities and an AWESOME community! I can t wait until next year!

Had a family mini vacation for Memorial Day. We stayed in Morning Star house 6 bedrooms 5 .5 baths. The house was lovely and clean. Called the office once great customer service. This was my 3rd time renting a home and I have always been satisfied. Planning our vacation for next Memorial Day now.

Loved the house that we rented! Very good price too!

My family and I recently stayed at Wispy on the Rocks, from booking, accessing the home, the stay and the checkout process - everything was done with personalized attention. Easy booking process, the house was just what was as described and the checkout process a breeze.

The house we originally reserved got sold the week before our stay, so they gave us a larger/nicer house. That was great! However, when we arrived for check-in there was a MOUNTAIN of trash on the deck. Bags and bags of beer cans from the previous guests. We found several ping-ping balls under couches throughout our stay, clearly from beer pong, and there was trash behind the pull-out trash can in the kitchen. All of that made us wonder how well the house was actually cleaned between guests. Also, it's minor, but the fitted sheet on the king bed we slept in was put on sideways so it kept popping off. We had to strip and re-make the bed! The hot tub never got above 82 degrees, which was disappointing for my husband and I. Overall, everyone I spoke with was pleasant and helpful, and the house was gorgeous. Cleanliness was a concern in this era of coronavirus. We enjoyed our time at the lake and nearby Swallow Falls state park, but we probably will not use Railey again.

We rented a house on the lake under my brothers name. Unfortunately my brother booked the wrong weekend, and so very quickly he booked another Railey property and cancelled the first (as the first reservation was not available for the correct weekend). The cancellation was made within 24 hours of the initial reservation, but no bending or exceptions to the cancellation policy would be allowed even to people who made another booking with Raileys. They took $1500 cancellation fee and with months until the stay they stated "every effort" will be made to re rent the home and if it rents the $1500 will be refunded. *EVERY EFFORT* well for months we looked (obviously very concerned) and saw that the cancelled home was not available for rent on the dates we cancelled. We called multiple times and they said they would make "every effort" (except of course the main effort).

Long story short if you cancel a reservation, they pocket your $1500, list the rental as unavailable and then talk to you like your subhuman when you call in and make excuses that the managers are unavailable and in important meetings that they cannot step away from. Sunday morning important business meetings. They are not a company with any morals or customer care.

I am a real estate investor with many tenants and I know that caring for people is the number one job I have as their landlord, the profits come in just as well, and I will go to my grave with dignity.

We stayed at Middle Lake Overlook we ran into issues with the house locks and the TVs. Neither Railey Vacation nor the home owners bothered to explain that the house doesnt lock unless you put the entry code in when you leave out. So we left the house and when we returned we realized it had been unlocked for several hours. A sign near the door explaining this would have been nice or even the mention of entry/exit code in the Railey Instructions. We also couldn't watch the TVs properly all kinds of wired things happened. We couldn't watch any of the on demand free movies because they required a parental code which wasnt provided to us. The owner had a show set to record and the TV changed to that chanel unexpectedly during a show that i was watching by the time I figured out how to exit out of the present the show I was watching was over (it only had a couple of minutes left when this happened). Finally on the first night, the TV in my room was linked to the kids room TV my husband and I could only watch what they were watching. We didn't want to watch what they were watching. Finally the front master bedroom was cold seemed to be a different temperature than the rest of the house.

We've rented from Railey for a few years now and always had good experiences. This most recent trip, however, we had a bad experience with the property we rented. A lot of items in the house were broken including the beds and the photos listed made it appear that it was directly on the lake when it was actually 1.3 miles down and uphill so we couldn't walk to the lake with all of our supplies. I called Railey about the issues and ultimately management decided not to refund any portion of our stay because of contract terms. We were hoping for some good will but pretty disappointed in our experience this time.

Dream Catcher had crab shells on the floor under the dining table. The chairs had dirt on the wooden parts and there was food under at least one bed (I didn't want to look under any other beds). Cobwebs and dust on the ceiling fans.
3 weeks before our vacation I had a Railey agent verify that we could indeed check in early and check out late, benefits that we had paid for. Railey apparently didn t check their records to see that we had late check out because they emailed us and called our home to tell us we needed to vacate the premise although we in fact had 2 more hours before we had to check out. Railey agents should pay more attention to contract details.

This house is amazing! We went with two other families and had an absolutely wonderful time. Overall, the house was clean, roomy, and accommodating. The kitchen was better equipped than any rental property I've ever stayed in. My only two complaints are (1) that the house is advertised as ski-in/ski-out, which it is most definitely not. Had to drive a short distance to top of the mountain. (2) Parking is extremely tight. Otherwise highly recommended. Thanks for a fun weekend!

We had a great vacation through Railey. We found blood on the mattress protector sheet and they immediately had someone out to replace it. We have loved all of our vacation through Railey and we will most definitely use them again in the future.

The house was beautiful and the location was great, however I will never be renting from Railey Vacations again. The fire alarms did not go off as a chimney leaked into a guests bedroom while she was asleep. The room filled with smoke and she was in there for hours and has asthma, it was a very scary experience and Railey Vacations claimed we lied about it instead of trying to make the situation better. They had to sleep on the couch, we lost use of amenities, and they did not care. They even sent us "video proof" they everything was working and lied about the dates the videos were taken. Heads up Railey Team, videos are timestamped so we can see if you are lying. It was an extremely disappointing response. I would have given them a much higher rating had they corrected this situation appropriately.

Nice Condo. Wifi works only 5 hours a day and only .9 down and .5 up. Very slow.

First time user of Railey, very happy with services. will definitely use them again and gladly recommend them to friends and family.

We tried to communicate with them before submitting a review, but Railey s customer service and communication are horrible and their follow-through is even worse.

The house we stayed at had many things that were broken and not taken care of - especially things that we were planning on using - ping pong table, air hockey table, and appliances to name a few. The house, floors, and bathrooms were dirty and not as clean as you would expect a house to be during COVID times.

There was an open closet with a bucket of half-drank liquor bottles in the basement where my kids were staying as well as a mouse that my son found On. Top. Of. His. Bed. one morning.

All of this we tried to work through with them and they lacked SERIOUS response time and when they told us they would refund a fourth of what we had asked - they never followed through. We ve seen no compensation.

I do not recommend.

We had such a wonderful experience renting a cabin from Railey Vacations! We were a little nervous booking any travel because of COVID-19, but their attention to detail and concern for our safety made us feel at ease. The cabin was thoroughly cleaned and we were given clear instructions on how to have a safe and fun stay. We will be back!

This past weekend was a blast. My friends and I completely enjoyed our stay at Alpine Dreaming. The house was beautiful, the double oven and refrigerator was a plus, we loved playing pool all weekend and the hot tub was just what the doctor ordered. The house is conveniently located near the slopes and the grocery store, we loved not having to travel far for anything we needed. With this said, the water pressure in some bathrooms was extremely low and the leaves all over the steep drive way entry felt unsafe to walk and drive on. Overall, we were happy with the choice to visit Deep Creak and to use Railey Mountain Lake Vacations for our vacation home for the weekend.

We really do not like to complain but it is insulting to spend almost $4,000 for only 3 nights and to have a place in this condition. Besides the toaster not working, running out of propane within 3 minutes (luckily maintenance man was here and had propane in his car), NO hot water in showers on main floor, the place is in desperate need of care. See attached pics. And yes that is nasty mold in every shower. With some attention and care, this home would be great. The size and location are great! You could walk right across the street to go skiing or take the minute drive. My sister in law said no way these are queen size beds as advertised, she thinks they are full. Owners of this home, I hope you fix this house up if you want to charge this much because it really has the potential to be amazing.

Railey is the worst rental service I have ever used. The house we got had so many things that didn t work. They also waited until after I made my final payment and already rented a boat for the week to tell me that they don t guarantee the dock slip is available. When I called them they told me that it is out of their control that the state runs this process. I called the state office and they assured me that it is the HOA or the rental company and Raileys does have control over this. Raileys lied to me after I checked with them on several other occasions to assure that I had a dock slip for the boat I was renting. They said yes everytime until after I made my final payment. They are scammers and I would strongly recommend that you do NOT rent from Raileys ever!!!

One of the worst rental experiences ever. We rented one of their larger homes, they offer no flexibility for any early check in or check out. Their house are in very poorly maintained condition, in-spite of charging such a steep price.

I usually rent home from airbnb or vrbo but thought this was a reputable name in the deep creek area, but they are such a bad rental agency

The house entrance had cobwebs, the pool was not cleaned and was smelly, hot tubs are not working, the linens were so bad and the house smelled and the wooden benches were worn out

The kitchen was very badly maintained and the gas range did not function, the company charged us for buying an entire new range when we reported it did not work in first place

When we tried to contact the agency they were un responsive and rude inspite of spending over $4k for a weekend rental. Highly advice against renting their properties

Windy sun West. The home is beautiful and we expected to really enjoy our visit. However, there are many issues with this home. Keurig coffee pot is broken, I reported it, then read reviews, as far back as a year ago....it was broken! Small worn out grill with no handle to lift lid. Upstairs bedroom had lukewarm water in shower, could not get hot water. Outside after dark, no lighting, dangerous trying to enter or leave the house. Stove top worn and dirty, worn out pots and pans. Mattresses on downstairs bedroom very uncomfortable. Would be nice to have window shades for privacy throughout. Main floor bathroom infested with ants. Several outlets don t work. With some updating and care this could be a very nice home. We will not rent this home again.

I stayed at the Built for Fun house with 11 other family and close friends this past weekend. The house was very nice and we really enjoyed the feel. It was clean when we walked in and very inviting. Though some of the furniture was out of date and uncomfortable to sleep on (pull out sofas), and the kitchenware was very old and didn't seem to be kept up well that didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. We took full advantage of the hot tub and the fire pit since it happened to be colder than usual for the end of August. It was in a great location to supermarkets and fun activities. Though it says it can only fit 4 cars, due to some members of the party leaving earlier, we were able to fit 5 cars without issue. The hill is very steep so definitely make sure if you go in the winter your car can handle it. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Cut Above Home. Nice layout for our family. Loved the firepit, and hot tub plus the neighborhood. Clean, functional, would definitely rent again.

The grounds were nice but the home we stayed in all the pillows and comforters were filthy (disgusting stains) we had to call maintenance after hours to exchange all the pillows. The sofas were stained and we were uncomfortable the entire time, couldn't relax. We washed out linens, comforter and lysoled the stained mattresses before we went to bed on the day we arrived. The throw rug I. The kitchen was horrible......we won't be returning even if they offered us a free stay.....

Castle at the Lake and Waltzing Moose Lodge are amazing property s. Our family visits yearly. A true 4 seasons destination.

We go on a trip to Deep Creek Lake each year and I always rent from Railey. I ve always have had a good experience with our reservation process and the homes the manager are always as depicted. They are sometimes hard to get a hold of when calling the office but it is probably because they are super busy. I would always recommend Railey when booking your Deep Creek Lake vacation.

Great fun watching skiers slide by from kitchen, next to roaring fire. We brought fire logs to make the fire trouble free. Great home for 2 families to share.

Check-in/out was very easy. The house was beautiful and the views were amazing. Could not have asked for a better trip.

Internet is trash... no phone service,, cabinets are locked and u can t even put ur food or boxes in it .

We were a bit late in making our reservation. But in doing so we are able to get a great discount on available rentals. The web site was quite useful with great reviews, descriptions of the properties and prices. Furthermore the follow up emails and forms regarding rental agreement and occupants were straight forward.

There were a couple of things we needed, such as the addition of dog and an early check. I called and quickly got an account representative on the phone who was very helpful in resolving our request. Once arrived, as it was very cold and snowy, we called to ensure the access road was cleared and they did so . In summary, the service was impeccable.

The house is beautiful, large and very functional. We were happy to see many of the specialty kitchen items were available. In fact, there was two of everything. The Internet connection works well, as some of us had emails to attended too. The kids had a blast with the space, board games and multimedia.

In summary the Good Life is a great place for family experiences and good memories. Thanks so much for a great vacation!

My family and I enjoyed a great 4th of July weekend at a Railey vacation home. The property was newly remodeled and fully stocked with dishes and cooking supplies.

We had three issues with the property - Enchanted Lakefront - that we reported. The first was front door lock was broken upon arrival. We manage for a few days but finally called and they replaced it immediately. The second issue was kitchen sink faucet. If you don't turn it off in just the right way, the water drips. We submitted a ticket for after our departure. Hopefully, that was handled. A third issue we reported upon checkout. One of three trash bins at the top of the driveway did not have a did not have a lid. On the day of our check out we took out the trash to find a young raccoon trapped in the bin without a lid. He was just sitting there waiting to be rescued. If we had not seen him, he surely would have died because the pickup would not happen for another two days. We reported that the bin needed a lid. I sincerely hope they took care of that so new renters did not come upon dead animals in the trash bin.

Regarding the actual property - Enchanted Lakefront - the location can't be beat - literally on the lake. The house is very open and the layout is great. The kitchen is stocked with all the tools anyone would need. Unfortunately, the house needs some care - bathroom shower doors need mold treatment, replacement; faucets need attention; mattress in main master needs to be replaced so the mattress cover and sheets fit properly; the comforters need to be cleaned after each guest (ours clearly weren't); and they need more outdoor lounge chairs for summer.

Staying at Johnny Appleseed was a wonderful experience. It's a beautiful house in a gorgeous location. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of room for everyone in our party. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

This house is beautiful. The decor is so perfect I would love to take all of it home. We lived in the pool and sunroom. We used the free par three course and miniature golf. Only two wishes....would love to have hooks out in the pool area to hang towels and wish it was closer to the lake. Would definatly stay here again.

My party and I had a fabulous time on our trip to Deep Creek Lake this weekend!! The property we stayed in Was phenomenal. It had wonderful amenities and was extremely spacious for a party of twenty.

Upon making our reservation a year ago, the staff was incredibly helpful and patient with answering all of our questions and concerns. They were even willing to adjust our payment schedule as two of our families were affected by the furlough.

Upon checking-in, the staff was very courteous and professional with providing us with information about our home and the area in general. They took the time to detail every piece of paper in our packet and also made it a point to check in on us as our house needed some minor cosmetic repairs from the previous tenant.

This is my 10th time coming to Deep Creek and we ve used Railey the last nine times. I don t foresee us changing anytime soon - if ever!! Thanks Railey Realty for your impeccable service and attention to detail!!

Stayed at Lakeside Fun for a B-day weekend. Property was nice nothing extremely special. Check in and out was very easy, staff was nice.

I enjoyed my stay at Deep Creek- The Lodge at McHenry Cove Marina. I can honestly say that I was very skeptical about the house in beginning because some of the things I notice were either broken or the small issue that could be attempted to like the ants. However, the staff were very attentive and helpful that they came immediately even though we were expecting them to come the next day. The house by far was clean (besides the ants, but we figured that because of where we were staying). There were even more things that were already provided in the house that we thought we needed to bring. Which was very helpful!!

The environment and atmosphere was lovely. There were so many things to do. My favorite was the boat ride! It was my first time and the we were given a discount and lessons on how to ride the boat. Next time I would like to go on the jet skis and enjoy the restaurants when the covid-19 is a lesser epidemic.

By far the trip was peaceful and enjoyable. I can t wait to book again in the future!

We stayed at Morning Star last week and had a wonderful experience. The kitchen was the best equipped that we have ever experienced. The house was beautiful and away from crowds.

Railey Vacations made everything simple to book our stay at Deep Creek Lake. The home we rented was as advertised, and we had a great time. We had one minor issue, but when we called the Railey after hours maintenance line, our issue was resolved immediately. We would definitely use Railey Vacations again.

We stayed in October at Lakeshore Haven. House was very clean. had a cozy atmosphere upstairs, was perfect for our family gathering. Downstairs was spacious and had fun playing air hockey! Was nice being so close to the Lake! We all looked forward to the Hot tub with foot massager, each evening! Plan to stay here again! and the staff at Deep Creek Lodging were very accommodating, with an easy check in/out.

TAMAQUA LODGE review: 12 of us (4 adults & 8 20-24 year old) stayed at Tamaqua Lodge 8/4-8/11/18. PROS: Close to water; private dock; 6 bedrooms; 5 1/2 baths; location-close to HoniHoni, Arrowhead Market & movies; large dining room table; well stocked kitchen & lots of wine glasses; large laundry room off kitchen
CONS: Deck round picnic table too small for 12 people & covered with mildew; cobwebs & spiders all over the exterior & by hot tub; eaves hadn't been cleaned out in a long time; overall property not well maintained; neglected landscape; all beds were uncomfortable; no lamps to read by in family room; screen doors on deck falling apart.
BOTTOM LINE: 12 of us voted we would NOT stay there again.

Its unfortunate that this company doesn't understand how customer service is supposed to work. We had a 4 day, 3 night stay in their "Pinnacle View" home. This place was outdated, yes, which is why it was one of the most inexpensive places but had several issues. Keep in mind inexpensive is 1400 for Thursday-Sunday for a 4 bedroom place. The grill was not cleaned at all, to the point where you couldn't even use a scrub brush to clean it. The Jacuzzi tub in the master starting leaking on day 2 and we were told we couldn't use this the rest of the time. There were dead bugs everywhere in the house. There were holes in the wall and in the furniture and even a blood stain on one of the beds. I complained at check out and was told someone would get back to me on Tuesday. I called numerous times after Tuesday with no call back until Saturday (5 days later). I was was told that no reimbursement would happen because I didn't report my other issues besides the leak. The way they handle reimbursements if if you report items to them before you check out? Ok so If I reported the leak and was told I couldn't use it the rest of my vacation, doesn't that qualify? I was told no because its just maintenance. The manager told me she will bring it up on Tuesday again during their manager meeting to see what else can be done. But I probably wont get a call until 5 days later again and told nothing that can be done.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. PERIOD.

Update received my call on time but again was told no reimbursement because I didnt give them the opportunity to correct it. But they came and and saw the leak from the tub and said they couldn't fix it. What about the holes in the couch? Would you give us a new couch?? And the dead bugs everywhere?

My husband and I rented a cabin through Railey and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Great cabin, clean with all the amenities one could ask for. You can't go wrong with renting from Raileys!

Deep Creek Vacay was awesome as always! The office staff is very supportive & attentive! Castle at The Lake is Breath taking! Simply just beautiful! We stayed there 3 times & each time was relaxing & enjoyable! The surroundings are awesome! You need to try it just once & you will be hooked forever !

We rented a lovely home (KooKooKaChoo) at Deep Creek last week. Unfortunately, the description of the house didn t include information that accessing the lake would be impossible for our young children and dangerous for the adults. There was a three foot drop from the last stair/top of tock to the ground. I called Railey Vacations on Day 1, Stopped into the office on day three, and was in touch daily after that asking if anything could be done, or if we could borrow a lake front elsewhere that was available for us to use. With the July 4th weekend approaching, or course everything was booked. A dock guy arrived on Friday (The day before we were leaving) and said he couldn t do anything to try and lower the dock because of all the boat traffic.. We rented a private home to avoid crowds during Covid, so Railey s offer of free passes to a local indoor pool was out of the question for us, and of no value. They DID offer to credit me $300 after our stay for our issues with the dock . $300 does not come close to covering the lost value of our vacation at a lake we were unable to safely use except via boat. Shame on us for not asking why their was no picture of the dock entrance to the lake, and shame on Railey for not knowing their rental unit had a dock improperly installed, and then imagining that a $300 credit was sufficient.

We had the best time staying during the Labor Day Weekend. Railey Vacations made it so easy through the whole process of booking, staying, and checking out. The house that we stayed in was so clean and updated...we were so pleased. We will definitely be using Railey Vacations again when we visit the Deep Creek Area.

My husabnd and I were not able to come. We are both healthcare givers. My kids hesiated to go as well but did not want to waste the money I alread paid in full and they have already filed for work leaves. We are so glad they did, and so were they. The house amenities and facilities all worked. They even had the hot tub already prepared to use. My kids liked that especially. The views were fantastic. They did not have to go anywhere else. They were quite content to spend all three days at Angel's Landing.... bonding, relaxing, enjoying the view, and making fond memories.

My family rented the Eagle's Nest property this week, and we had a wonderful time in the area. HOWEVER, there were a few issues with the property that we found concerning. The main issue was that it was really filthy. I don't know how cleaning is generally handled, but especially in today's Covid world, the level of dirt in this property was disturbing. Aside from more long-term dust (the ceiling fans probably have at least a centimeter of dirt on them), the surfaces were just filthy. Many of the indoor surfaces had a layer of dust. No one had cleaned the outdoor furniture in what looked like weeks, and when we went to wipe off some of the kitchen counters, the paper towels came away dark. The carpets had not been vacuumed well. Most disturbing of all, there were several loose ibuprofen tablets on the floor in the room with the fussball table, which were brought to my attention by my child. There were crumbs and food everywhere (as we discovered when a remote control went missing in couch cushions) and I also found several pieces of what looked like hard pretzels strewn across the downstairs floors (and several dead insects). There were some pebbles in the upstairs shower. The soap dish under the sink in one of the downstairs bathrooms was covered in gunk and scum.

When we arrived for our check-in at 4pm, there were several workmen on the property (installing stairs in preparation for a fire pit, which I am sure will be amazing). This led to a very confusing arrival, which was not welcome after 5 hours in the car, as several family members were confused/worried about this being the correct property. Although a phone call to the property manager assured us that everything was wrapping up, it would have been SO MUCH nicer for everything to have been wrapped up an hour before we arrived. In addition, some tools were left in one of the bathrooms, and the lid was off the toilet. Once again, Railey was responsive when we called and someone arrived to collect the materials, but it is not a great way to start a vacation.

Lastly, quite a lot of the items are on their last legs. One of the kitchen chairs was broken on the back, and the couch in the main area was ripped. The cushions that were on the downstairs outdoor furniture were pretty dusty and the cushions for some of the upstairs furniture appeared to be locked in a chest that we did not have the combination for, making those chairs almost unusable.

All that said, the property was spacious, with all useful amenities, a beautiful view, and we had a lovely time exploring the Deep Creek area. But my whole family agrees that we would likely not rent a house from Railey again if this is the standard of cleanliness. It DID seem like the bed linens were totally clean, as were the towels that were provided.

Railey vacations was very helpful when our AC was not working. They quickly sent someone out and it was fixed within an hour. Great company to rent from!

We stayed at a home on Lakeshore Drive called Life is Good . The home was absolutely beautiful..great amenities and beautifully designed and decorated..BUT it was NOT cleaned very well. We stayed in mid June when Railey was promising deep cleaning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were on the fence about going anywhere with everything going on, but the thought of being in a house, having privacy, not having to worry about public interaction, and their assurances of deep cleaning we decided to go. I m very sad to say the cleaning was sub par. There were cobwebs and spiderwebs EVERYWHERE. Yea, I know it s a lake house in the forest basically, but if they deep cleaned like they promised, I shouldn t have been able to find a spec of dust anywhere. The floors were absolutely filthy as well. After showering every day we had to scrub our feet before bed because they were black from the floors. I also found a used wash rag in the drawer of one of the upstairs bathrooms. I highly doubt we ll be booking through Railey again unless they can get it together and put in better effort. To the homeowner- I m so sorry your in this position. I hate to leave a bad review and potentially deter future renters, but if it was me, I would 100% want to know these things before going. I hope Railey can make it right for you.

I stayed at Windy Sun West with a group of friends. the home was beautiful and clean, it also had plenty of room for 10 of us. A few flaws would be that the hot tub was dirty and the water for the showers were not pleasant at all. two people could not shower at the same time otherwise the water would be freezing cold or the showers just blatantly cut off on one person.

We had a wonderful time at this cozy and comfortable condo. Location was amazing for our needs. Would definitely return!

Timberlodge is very beautiful, my family and I enjoyed every minute of it. Very big and spacious. Maintenance fixed an issue right away! I will most definitely be renting this home or another one next year!
