Lovely hotel with big rooms n comfy beds! Bathrooms could do with some improvement.

Best place to stay in Galway. My room had a direct view across the lake. I used to wake up every morning and stare at the lake watching the sun rise slowly over it from my window. The hotel restaurant served great lamb shanks. Location is just 2 min from bus and train station

Stay here anytime I'm in Galway . Close to center . Great bar and dining. Multistory carpark and spa/pool on site . Clean , modern and cosy. Very friendly staff .

Lovely modern and clean hotel close to local bars. Staff went out there way to help when i had an accident getting candle wax on a shirt and had it cleaned within the hour. Would highly recomend and will defo stay again next time im in galway

Really great stay here, location was perfect. Breakfast, it seemed they were understaffed, was difficult to get a coffee etc, but staff were friendly and apologetic. Dinner (Sunday 29th Dec) in the restaurant, we couldn't fault it. The younger waiter was terrific, coming from a hospitality background I was very impressed. Will definitely recommend!

Beautiful facilities. Clean and modern, with choice of several hotel lobby restaurants. Great food. There was a bizarre series of halls and two sets of elevators to get to our room, so the layout could have been better. Overall, highly recommended.

Bad bar service ye need to double bar staff for race week

Booked Friday and Saturday when I meant to book Saturday and Sunday emailed the hotel and they understand the problem and rectified it rooms lovely and staff are friendly.

Hotel comfortable and pulling to modernillo, ten minutes walk from the pubs area. Helpful and attentive staff, and you can also connect your mobile or tablet to the TV in the room and see something other than the 24 More

Stayed at The Galmont for 4 nights on business trip. The hotel room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the Atlantic sea. The bed and pillows and duvet were a pleasure to fall into each night. Breakfast was fabulous especially like the bacon which was not the usual overcooked at other hotels. Very tasty. Staff were a pleasure in the bar even when hotel was busy. I have stayed before and brought 4 company colleagues with me thus time. I will be back. Thanks to all at The Galmont for making our stay relaxed and enjoyable!

Very nice one night stay everyone was helpful the room was clean and comfortable tha k you much we'd stay here again very well located.

Great hotel, spent 3 days. Good breakfast, really nice staff, nice room. Only comment is it's a conference center and they had big groups, can't really falt them for doing good business though.

Huge party in the hall on the weekend at night. You can feel the bass in your room until 2:00am so stay at the bar or join the party, but don't try to sleep.

Hotel was nice, staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was heated by two plug in radiators. The lift system is a lottery of what floor or direction it is going to go in, as a result it is slow. Also parking is extra.

the hotel is fine in the wait staff are nice but this is not a great place to sleep. It says it is a 4-star hotel and some of the hotel might actually be that. It has a couple of wings and we wound up in the one across the parking lot from the entrance. The rooms were much less well-appointed and there was no air conditioning. Overall though, I would have to say that it was worth going and staying. I think I would drop this down to three stars though.

Great hotel. Cooked breakfast not great. Breakfast staff very grumpy. Bar staff great very chatty. House keeping great. Having to pay for parking is not great. Very close to town.

Very nice hotel, staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean, and our King sized bed was the most comfortable that we had in Ireland. NOTE- STAY AWAY FROM MARINA'S RESTAURANT (see my review under the restaurant).

Staff were lovely and so helpful. Food and drinks were amazing, best cocktails! Room was really nice and comfortable. I didn't want to leave.

Room was comfortable but was a little put off by a used baby nappy left in the waste bin in bathroom that wasn't ours, I was staying there for night away with my wife a present from her for my birthday and although she booked a double room what we got was two single beds pushed together with separate duvets and bed sheets so it wasn't that romantic, when we arrived the receptionist asked what time we would like dinner and we asked for 8:00 so after spending over an hour at the leisure centre when we got back to our room around 7 we received a phone call from reception telling us rather unapologetically that we would have to be down for dinner before 7:30 as that was part of the booking deal, which was news to us so we had to rush down. The food was very nice and service was polite and friendly which made up for the other negatives, our room overlooked the hotel entrance and function hall which had an event on with disco so loud thumping music kept us awake until around 3am, Overall it's far from the best 4 star hotel I've stayed in but maybe that was down to the special deal that my wife booked but having said that we do these special deals all the time usually in Kerry or West Port which were far better value for money and nicer rooms.

Lovely hotel, gentle staff and super bed. Food was delicious, beautifully cooked and delicious veggie options. Leisure centre was an additional luxury after a busy day.

The hotel is just incredible. Large and super comfortable room and bed. Great location, super close to the center and you can still enjoy the pool and jacuzzi.

Doubtful hygiene, bad service, bad kitchen, paid parking

Not impressed we booked via the phone to rule out any issues the girl told us we would have a family room with at least two beds.. her words were "your son won't even know your watching tv". We arrived to a room with one bed contacted reception by means of walking down as they didn't answer the phone...to be told we don't have any other rooms. They said we can fit in an extra bed with no other option that is what we had to do. Park that aside and head to the bar area pick a seat in the lobby wait 10 minutes no one comes near, eventually walk up and look for service and it continues like that not one waitress or waiter will come back unless your right on their regular path even then you need to get your shout in which to me seams rude. Having stayed here while it was the raddison its gone down hill big time. Watch here I won't get a reply they don't care!!!

Excellent meal at the restaurant. The beetroot starter and the fish platter were particularly good. Very nice atmosphere in the bar afterwards.

Theres a great little City Centre Gym attached to this hotel. Very convenient. Full gym, Spa, Sauna etc and pool.

Fabulous hotel, loved our room and the level 5 views worth it for the peace and quiet. Had food in coopers lounge great food, friendly staff all round. Spa was amazing too.

Modern hotel, very comfortable, warm and great location for the city...

Really disappointed with the room service experience. The guy that brings the food is really nice and I m super happy with the service. I got my lunch order with wrong side and didn t get my dinner at all- from the fish and chips I ordered I got only the cold chips. They missed the dessert too. The reception is really rushing on the phone when getting orders. Sorry guys used to love the overall experience here.

Hotel and spa were both fantastic. 5 minute walk from the train station. Very reasonable price too. Stayed 2 nights. Definitely recommend.
