Because Japan is involved, there is a Japanese flag and a Japanese theater.
A place where children can touch and learn. Because we visited on a holiday, there were few empty parking lots nearby and the congestion was great.
There are a goods section and a restaurant cafe, but it was difficult to secure seats due to congestion.
There were also earthquake experiences and sliders.

Great experience. Highly recommended especially if you have kids. It's a very fun way to learn a lot of new things. If you can avoid the weekends as you'd enjoy it more if less people are there.

Fantastic fun. Lots of things to discover - it kept the kids fully occupied, and even us parents! I liked the layout - start at the top and work your way down through themed rooms with almost everything interactive in some way. Despite loads of kids enjoying themselves it was not too noisy, and you could try everything out.

The great thing is thing is that there is so much to do that even if it is busy chances are you can find something that isn't being used. My kids loved it and I would definitely go back again. Only negative was the line up to buy tickets. Not sure if you can buy online before hand - but if you can it might save you some time.

You lose a star for not having a branch/facility in Sydney... Which is where I live. Boo to that. Now that I've been here, I'm going to have to drive to Canberra at least twice A year for questacon

As good as I remember it as a kid! Love this place!!! Spent the entire day here. Loads of participatory activities and lovely staff. Great for families or a bunch of friends. Really impressed by all the efforts that went towards relating experiments back to real life!!!

Loved it ,our 4 & 6 yo had a ball even with stuff for older kids. The down side is when the school groups arrive it is chaos ,it gets really loud and they swarm all over everything like like wasps

A really great museum, we went during the spider exhibition. Very similar to Scienceworks in Melbourne. I am a 30 year old adult with no children, and I found it educational and enjoyable. I will definitely go again when the next exhibition is showing.

Kids had a ball, perfect for our 8yr old especially. Cafe was expensive, $75 for 2 drinks, a sandwich, a burger and a croissant, but otherwise we had a great day and would come back again.

I was really surprised at the high quality of the exhibits. The hands on nature of most of them made it a learning experience.

Going on a weekend and avoiding the school kids is a very good idea if you are thinking of going to Questacon.

Haven t been since I was 9 and it s still my favourite place in the world. They replaced the earthquake exhibit which is sad but it s still really educational and fun, even if you re an adult.

Wonderful interactive science museum. Highlights include a free fall slide in the Excite room and the Tesla coil in the Awesome Earth room that activates every 20 mins. In the chemistry room, you can approach the staff in the middle bench and they will demonstrate a cool phenomenon for you. If you have a bit more time, build something using recycled materials in the Shed .

If you have membership to other science museums (eg Sydney Powerhouse Museum), check to see if you can get free entry.

For really little kids (0-6) go to Q time on the ground floor - my son can play here for hours. On busy days (school holidays) you need to book in a 30 min session by asking for a ticket. Sessions book out quickly and you need a ticket for every adult and child entering. On weekdays during school, book into Science time where they talk on a theme and have loads of hands on activities. Suitable for about 4+. You also need to book for this activity.

The cafe is ok but the tables get really busy during peak times. Bring your own lunch and save time and money!

Twice the kids have asked to come and we have granted them the educational fun adventure. Reasonable entry prices and all displays are truly interative and educational. The staff are Beyond awesome with cleaning anything kids touch. You will enjoy the day.

My Nan took me, my brother, and 2 of my cousins here (Im the oldest). It was great, we all loved it but our 2 cousins kept on running around, which kinda ruined the experience. Overall, 10/10 would definitely recommend

Cool place to visit for kids and and adults. We enjoyed ourselves as adults but the kids also enjoyed their time too, sparking their own fascination with a variety of activities. Mini Q for 0-6 year olds was fun too for the younger ones. You need to book your session as they do run out fast.

A lot of things to do for kids, and also fun for adults. Went there on a night where there were stalls outside and an exhibitons with people juggling with fire. Had a great time. It is not too pricy and has a lot of things to do.

Very disappointing science museum. Overall science is too simplistic and watered down, the experiments performed at qLabs were unoriginal and are done at every primary schools and there are simply not enough exhibitions for the price and status of being a national science museum.

So many galleries of different exhibitions, and very educational for kids and grown ups! Many of the activities were geared towards kids but the staff encouraged participation by adults too. I really enjoyed the freefall slide. It was great for a bit of adrenaline!

We had a lot of fun at Questacon. We stayed there whole day for inspiration and educational projects. The foods we ordered were fish and chips, and chicken schnitzel which were better than we expected.
