Wonderful interactive science museum. Highlights include a free fall slide in the Excite room and the Tesla coil in the Awesome Earth room that activates every 20 mins. In the chemistry room, you can approach the staff in the middle bench and they will demonstrate a cool phenomenon for you. If you have a bit more time, build something using recycled materials in the Shed .

If you have membership to other science museums (eg Sydney Powerhouse Museum), check to see if you can get free entry.

For really little kids (0-6) go to Q time on the ground floor - my son can play here for hours. On busy days (school holidays) you need to book in a 30 min session by asking for a ticket. Sessions book out quickly and you need a ticket for every adult and child entering. On weekdays during school, book into Science time where they talk on a theme and have loads of hands on activities. Suitable for about 4+. You also need to book for this activity.

The cafe is ok but the tables get really busy during peak times. Bring your own lunch and save time and money!
