A very spectacular place to visit and a must go, whether you are a science geek or casual just visiting the main attractions in Canberra. They have a lot of things that you could interact with which were very interesting and fun to play around with. Great for kids

If you prefer the usual hands on Questacon experience, do not go to Questacon while they are only offering no touch tours only.

We've been many times in the past and absolutely loved exploring for 5-6hours. But my goodness - I struggled keeping my little ones engaged today.

Sorry Questacon - but we won't be back till the old Questacon is back.

Just amazing!!! Interesting experience with science.
The staff were very friendly & informative.
It worth every penny.
If you're around Canberra, you should visit Questacon.
No drink or food allowed inside. Lockers are available at a small fee.
Prepare to spend a good 3 hours.
If you wish to buy souvenir at the shop, better be there 30 minutes before they closed. Because they close before 5pm.
Parking at weekend is free.
There's free refill spot for drinking water outside.
If you dare, try the jump

Easy access from start to finish at Questacon. We had Twin Granddaughters in a wide pram.
A bonus was it was half price month, only cost us 25! Children under 4 are free!
The information desk is in line of entrance so first timers would mistake for ticket sales, the ticket desk is on the far right. Lockers are available for storage and toilets are located beside them.
Straight away our 8 month olds spotted a large ribbon towards the ceiling being propelled around, they were mesmerised. Up the ramp we went adding to the fun and fitness (there is a lift available). Music played a theme which is a wonderful learning tool for young and old, a voice changing device had my husband and I in stitches.
Each floor holds too many learning, creative, colourful ideas and hands on tools to describe, but we were all in awe wherever we looked.
The favourite of the visit with the babies was water play, a smock and high chair is provided and a young, very friendly team member on standby. Much splashes, giggles and fun with water play was had.
We are going to keep returning to Questacon, the learning aspect is phenomenal as well as the wonderful feeling we had when we left.
The cafe is under going refurbishment and will re-open in early May. A pop-up cafe had good Coffee, rolls, sandwiches and cakes. Having been to the Portrait Gallery and experiencing home made style, absolutely delicious food has us spoilt. Hoping new cafe matches the amazingness of Questacon.
We came away from Questacon smiling, talking and with sleeping babies.

I recommend the Earthquake Simulator
So good for kids and adults alike.

If you're going to Canberra, you should go to Questacon.

Great fun place to go with your children and learn about some science and the everyday world! There's loads of fun and entertainment to have fun here with many hands on practical exhibits and shows! You'll definitely learn some new things here and easily one of the best places in Canberra!

With COVID-19 still on the brain, it was great to see Questacon has continued to take a methodological approach to control and exposure. Times for each gallery was controlled and timed which in turn ensured ample times for each section given to maximise cleaning between groups.

Enjoyed the experience all the same regardless of changes to some of the levels due to Covid.

A must do stop for families with kids in Canberra....

A must do stop for families with kids in Canberra. Interactive hands on science for all. We underestimated the time. You can easily spend an hour in each of five gallaries and watch a show for thirty minutes. The gallaries explain light, colors, fundamentals like periodic table, laws of motion, digestive system, magnetism, electricity etc, with experiments. There is a big Tesla coil that causes 'lightning in a cage' and an earthquake simulator. They also have an arcade gallary, where you can try your throwing arm, enjoy a short free fall slide, play air hockey with a robotic arm or four way.
Their newest attraction is a huge scale model of moon with wonderful detailing.
It's a additional bonus that the cafeteria opens at 9, has a good variety of options and can feed you for both breakfast and lunch. So overall a well spent happy day!!

20 years after my first visit and I still love coming here. I wish I lived a little close and could come more often. Time is never enough when we are here. Great place to learn thorough exploring and play.
