Generally a good stay. The restaurant tries too hard to be "fancy" with their food. That limited my desire to go there for dinner. In contrast, breakfast and lunch are good. Rooms are great and staff are helpful and friendly.

Very nice resort style hotel
The pool and staff were great
The breakfast was below average
Our one studio room was far away and had view of the street but was big enough to enjoy
Overall pleasant stay

Beautiful resort, lovely staff and a very special suprise on arrival which went above and beyond what we were expecting! The pool is great with lots of different sections to swim in so you can have a quiet swim. The room was amazing and clean. Food was delicious! The only downside is the bugs but a can of bug spray in the room would have made a world of difference. Would highly recommend and will be returning! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful hotel. Pool fabulous. We stayed in a studio spa room that backed right onto the pool. Breakfast very good and the Aqua restaurant had lovely food. Would definitely stay here again. Fortunately we had hired a car so it made everything more convenient.

Great. Book in for a weekend. Take advantage of the spa. Treat yourself to some souvenir and clothes shopping on Macrossan St and dine at the Sea Temple restaurant Alluco. And I have not even mentioned the pool or pool bar, the great rooms or proximity to the beach.

The rooms were nice and the facilities good, a large swimming pool, with a lot of rooms having access to directly out their back doors. Massage treatment was also good in the hotel spa. 4 minute walk from the beach but an hours walk from town. The food and level of customer service in the restaurant really let them down. The breakfast spread isn t particular nice and doesn t taste fresh. The juices are all out of a carton and when I requested any juice or smoothie with fresh ingredients they said they didn t do. The lunch was very very disappointing, out of 18 people not one person said they had a good meal. I ordered the pumpkin salad and all it had in it was pumpkin, rocket and some pine nuts. Bland. The buns of the pork buns were totally stale. From a 5 star hotel you expect a lot more.

Checked in on a busy weekend but service is still impeccable. There is a great pool, perfect for lounging by with plenty of space for everyone. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment and it had everything we needed. Would highly recommend a stay at this resort for families, couples and groups.

Disgusting & the worst Customer Service experience in my life! Me and my partner stayed there only 1 night. Unfriendly & racist staff in Restaurant. Good thing all staff have their name in a badge. There's this one young restaurant attendant girl named "Filomena" who was very rude & insult my partner. Never in my life have I experienced very disgustingly rude attendant. Never in my life I'll consider this place again. Shame on you! I wouldn't even give 1 star.

We loved staying here with our two small boys. We had everything we needed at the resort so we didn't really need to go anywhere. Cooked in our apartment and swam in the lagoon pool and plunge pool. Will be back for sure.

We are locals to Cairns and thought we would take a quick getaway for our anniversary- I booked a spa studio room and requested a 12 to 1pm check in and breakfast included which isn't cheap - upon arriving we were told our room was unavailable until 3pm as they were so busy (we booked 2mths ago & I'm pretty sure you guys would have known you would be booked out for xmas) so had 2 hours to kill (we had the courtesy to book and pay prior to arriving so methinks a courtesy text or phone call from you to say our requested book in time wasnt available) so we sat in the foyer watching your solo staff member deny another guest a towel. The impression we get is everything is too much for this establishment and to top it off we got put in a backwater room away from the advertised pools and lagoons and a good hike to anywhere. We may as well be locked away in the storeroom not happy and we won't be recommending to anyone and if we could we would have cancelled and rebooked somewhere else

What a joke. Don't get me wrong the swimming pool pool is stunning.... but that's is.. waited 1hr 20mins for meal then my side came after that, but wait had to send main meal back as it was terrible.
Can't even pour a beer, flat no head.
What a joke of a place.
They call it a resort??? Swimming pool that's it ( a beautiful pool.) No games room , no activities...
Never set foot again.....f#@kin joke

The pool is to die for! We had a swim up room, lovely, showing its age a little, lounge a bit grubby n uncomfortable, the shower was a huge step in bath n I had 2 fractures n a tear in my knee so that was a bit awkward getting in n out but overall lovely stay

Far from a 5 star hotel _
The floors were filthy - scrub them they make
Your feet black right after a shower
The linens were old
fridge was dirty upon move

For the price there are many other near by places
The worst part is it s rated 5 star
The pictures online are very deceiving
The furniture needs new cushions we had a total of 8 units and all the same filthy floors and stained cushions lots of mice and frogs at night on the lower units so if your not into that I def do not recommend -
The staff did try hard
But the place is in need
Of updates

For the price you pay the service and rooms are not up to scratch. I found most all of the staff to be rude and not friendly at all. We paid extra to stay in a two bedroom private villa with a pool. they charged me extra per night to have a Porta cot in the second room and the pool was so cold we couldn t swim there. I wouldn t classify this as a 5 star resort

By far the best resort in North Queensland! Harry, Salvatore, Gabriela, Leo the bartender and all the staff are exceptional in every way! They always go above and beyond for their guests! We are return travellers and love this place so much! Don't bother booking anything else but this place! WOW the best hotel in Port Douglas! We love everything about it! Dan & Lisa

A huge Lagoon dominates the site with most of the rooms overlooking or directly accessing it, sunloungers to restaurant all access the lagoon. Pool bar or kids play all revolve around the lagoon, great meals, cocktails and tap beer every bit a part of your stay. Great rooms excellent parking, on the beach and very near Port Douglas. We got a great deal and would recommend to people of all types

Hard to fault in any way. We were upgraded to a 2 bed rooms apartment which was massive with a barbecue and jacuzzi on the terrace on top. Beds were very comfortable, air-con was working nicely which was a must given the temperature during our stay. The staff always friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the pool and the pool bar, but we didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant. Would definitely recommend if you can afford it.

The good: swimout configuration is great, front desk staff were very accommodating when we wanted to change room type

The not so good: poor value for money relative to other Pullman resort properties, not sure this property should be considered a 5 star hotel as the 2 bedroom swim out apartment we stayed in was outdated and not top notch, e.g. bathroom sink had cracks, faucet was broken, bathroom door gets stuck, moldy grout, 90s shower screen.

Loved this place! Could not have be happier with our stay. Huge rooms, great facilities and amazing staff. We got engaged the weekend we stayed at Pullman and the staff surprised us with a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate! Can't wait to stay here again.

I read some luke-warm reviews before coming here, so my expectations were low. Wrong! This is a premium property, with well-maintained facilities, great staff, and a pool that will disappoint no-one. If you have read mediocre reviews, discount them. I can only presume Accor have invested heavily in the physical infrastructure, as the rooms are contemporary and well-presented, and the public areas are fresh and clean. The restaurant is great, and our maitre d' (Anthony) was exemplary. Breakfasts were unhurried and appropriate for Far North Queensland, and bar snacks were tasty and good value. The pool is an unbelievable feature, and (like all the physical infrastructure we saw) well maintained. The staff were all helpful, from the reception staff offering us a lift to our room in the Club Car (tired feet, thank you Tamsin!) to Tanya in the Vie Spa. When I browsed for attractions to visit, the staff were always willing to help with suggestions, and arranged transport quickly and efficiently (thanks Lee and Lucas) I stay in hotels more than 50 nights a year, so I have seen a wide range of properties, and staff attitudes. This is an exceptional property and the high standard of customer service by the staff suggests investment in training and staff selection by Accor. I can't recommend this property enough. Just had lunch at Sea Temple Port Douglas, in a word horrible, service so slow I had to go up and ask someone to come and take our order. I had a Green Chicken Curry, looked like Kermit frog pureed in a bowl and tasted like it too, telling the staff got no response. On a high note Sea Temple Palm Cove is outstanding in food and service

Worst Experience/DIRTY!!

Worst Experience/DIRTY!!
Stayed here for our Honeymoon on the 4/10/2015 - 7/10/2015 in a two bedroom apartment. Running on 4hrs of sleep due to our wedding after checking in late arvo I just wanted to catch up on some sleep pulled the sheets back to find blood stains was very frustrated called reception and they had someone change the sheets. The next morning got up to have a shower, there was mold all over the shower walls and shower screen. Went to reception and told them we would like to change rooms due to the issues we've had so far, the man put us into a penthouse suite, we told him we will be back late arvo to recheck in. Once we checked in went straight to the penthouse suite first problem ANTS all over the kitchen bench top and in the sink spoke to reception to bring up some Mortein took them 1 hour. Went straight to check the bed sheets and again on the mattress protective cover BLOOD stain!! This time I was very annoyed with the resort as we had paid a lot of money to stay there for our honeymoon (was not happy). Spoke to the lady at reception again told her there was another stain she had someone come to change the sheets as I watch her changing the sheets SHE didn't even take off the stained mattress protector cover I told my husband to tell her and she said I quote" I THOUGHT IT WAS ON THE SHEETS". She didn't have another mattress protector cover, so she had to come back! Bloody disgusting I wonder do they ever change their mattress protector cover or just leave them on and just change the sheets. Due to the experience and what I've seen it seems that way. I've got photos for prove how dirty this resort exactly is and poorly maintained. Horrible experience won't be back!!

Seriously disappointing ! We went for Xmas with our 2 teenage sons and booked 2 of the largest suites there . They were very spacious but that s as good as it got . The food was very average at best , with an extremely limited menu , no specials on daily , fish of the day was the same the whole week . Breakfast buffet was atrocious probably the worst I ve had anywhere . There was a bare minimum choice of everything and the quality was not fitting for a 5star resort . The pastries looked identicle to the ones at Coles . To add insult to injury we were told in advance that the Xmas. Lunch buffet was booked Out months ahead of time but they neglected to tell us no other food was available during the day .
It really felt like the staff are running that place for their benefit not for the paying customer . Never again

Horrible massage! Do not waste your money and be disappointed! Left exactly the same way I came in. Not relaxed & body still tense. Would not recommend getting a massage from here to anyone!
Please give your staff proper training for the price tag of the massage! Very disappointed.

It's all about the LAGOON POOL!

It's all about the LAGOON POOL!

If you love to lounge in and around the pool, this place has the most amazing lagoon pool. You can swim right the way around the resort in a chanel that connects back to the main lagoon. Whether you want to lounge by tue pool with a cocktail from tue handy pool bar or swim until you turn prune like, this is the place to kick back and just relax, the pool is frequently shaded by palm trees and is maintained at a very comfortable temperature.

**Note: if you can afford the swim out room, do it! Your stay will be much more enjoyable with your own private patio area to relax and dip into the pool at your leisure.

If you get one of the non swim out rooms your trip to the pool side consists of setting up by the pool bar on the many seating locations and when you're done for the day you can walk back to the room but frequenting the room during pool time can be a pain.

All in all an amazing place to kick back and relax!

Pleasant hotel. Relatively clean. Nice pool, but there are safety issues. Restaurant is only good for breakfast.

Restaurant:
I wrote a separate review of Aluca. I would suggest you just avoid it unless you are desperate. Not worth the wait.

Pool:
Beautiful pool. Shallow (0.8m) in front of swim up units. Huge safety issues related to glass. Saw multiple guests with glass bottles and glasses in the pool. I brought the issue up with one of the staff, but they were quite aloof about the whole issue.

The next morning a guest dropped a glass poolside across from my hotel room. The pool cleaning staff worked hard to clean up the glass, but as any pool owner will tell you they didn t get it all. This is a real safety issue. I have notified the staff, so they are aware of the issue. Needs to be addressed.

Absolutely atrocious service with regards to Accor Points. Sent multiple emails and made multiple phone calls in an attempt to get our night there allocated to Accor points. They kept saying they could fix it, however it never got fixed. We actually just gave up. Figured it was not worth the hassle. The staff are not the sharpest tools in the shed. After all our calls and emails, there was still no central point of reference for them and they all dealt with it individually from the beginning. Make sure you put your Accor number in prior to staying otherwise it is a nightmare.

As a frequent and loyal customer of the Accor brand, (so much so that I attained Platinum status), I expected a lot more from this 5 star resort

Granted much of this feedback are first-world problems, but it's the little things that make all the difference. Particularly that the occasion was a babymoon, I had hoped to have all the finer details covered for a pleasant 5 night stay. This is why we chose to stay at Pullman as opposed to other more appealing alternatives (from a location and value perspective)

Firstly the Accor platinum level membership entitlements:
Welcome drinks upon arrival - none offered
Complimentary room category upgrade - not offered
Late check-out up to 3pm - denied, due to another guest arriving early (when check-in is typically is from 3pm!). I had timed our departure flight from Cairns and transit based on a later than 11am check-out.
This meant that after spending 5 nights at your hotel, in the end my partner (who is 6 months pregnant) had to shower in the communal pool shower on our day of departure, where there was NO hot water. She was understandably not impressed.

General feedback:
Complimentary water only supplied on first night
I left a note for house keeping to please replenish, they replied with that is not housekeeping responsibility, but the mini bar team...
Mini bar never replenished during 5 night stay
Beach towels not provided in room
Shower cap taken from sink, but not replenished
No shampoo and shower gel supplied, rather 2x conditioners and 2x body lotions
Ants littered all over the room

In summary, incredibly underwhelmed. Maybe I have high expectations, maybe this is isolated. But it's unfortunate to be a top-tier level customer, and not have the top-tier level of service I've experienced from other Accor properties and have come to expect as a platinum status customer and generally as a hotel guest.

Wonderful resort with a massive central pool for the entire resort to enjoy. Breakfast buffet was well presented and all the staff knew how to make a good espresso coffee. Some mango and banana would have been a welcomed addition to the fruit selection. We were well looked after by all staff and definitely look forward to returning!

Although it might be looking a little tired around the edges, it is far from run down and is a really divine place to stay. Staff are extremely hardworking, friendly and eager to please. Is a little way out of town but there is a regular shuttle bus but I would advise hiring a car so you can go off and explore. I can't wait to get back.

Beautiful hotel, lagoon style pool is wonderful (& open until 10pm), rooms are modern with a huge spa & direct access to 4 mile beach. There is only 1 restaurant on the premises, which is quite expensive with limited choice & coffee isn't great. Unfortunately, despite being worded to suggest so online, the shuttle into town is not complimentary ($5pp each way), and the walk in is ~5km via the beach (lovely if you're up to it). The staff were mostly ok, service nothing to rant about. Would recommend for a relaxing stay.

Great villas, really good air conditioning and free wifi.Easy beach access and free parking. The food is also really great and can also be enjoyed next to the massive pool that circles around the resort. Would definitely recommend if it's within your budget.

Really amazing stay, great pool, great bar/drinks and room! I would give them 5 stars. But the food was genuinely awful, there was no room service cause of COVID which is fine and I assume they have changes their menu to accommodate the lack of guests. But every time we had to eat in we requested off the menu items which were okay but worlds better what s on the normal menu.

The staff were amazing and resort was so nice but it s just so annoying to think how much of a knockout this place would be if the food was even decent.

Great place. Awesome Pool. Bad wifi even if you go over the 1gb limit ($25 a gb if you go over 1gb free limit). Expensive pool bar $30 for glass of gin and tonic. But apart from the last two everything is great!

Sea Temple is a lovely resort. Great pool but at this time of year (August) it's definitely on the chilly side! The resort is a 5m drive away from the main strip of shops and bars in the centre.
