I was attacked by security while leaving the emergency department. I was given steroids for the pain and that may have contributed but I don't believe a 66 year old Elder should be man handled like that. I hope the bruises disappear fad soon.

Went into ER to pick up someone and felt like tsa @ airport. Security asked alot of questions and they had a metal detector setup. In their defense when I had to be seen at later date dr did an excellent job and the nurses where caring . Long wait though.

Wow don't hold here unless you have to cause you get shot or last choice. Front service ladies bad, really bad. Rude obviously no passion in there job an see it just as a paycheck. The waiting room is decent not clean though sitting in corner there appears to be critters or small people that poo. I see clinic beds open but they jeep saying they are full. Maybe hire more people you get money from federal. Oh an nice watch carol Rolex must be nice.

Went in to the ER with an irregular heart rhythm, was given an EKG immediately and diagnosed with Afib, moved to an ER room and the most caring and compassionate staff began treatment. I was admitted to the telemetry floor and the excellent care continued...from the hospitalist assigned to my case, the Ultrasound technician, the nursing staff, the CNAs and even down to the person who took my food order for room service and those that delivered it. My care was excellent, they took the time to sit with me an answer all my questions, understood I was scared and reassured me. The room was immaculate, large and with plenty of seating for family, plus had a great view! The nurses were responsive and came when requested. The discharge was even streamlined and they brought all my meds to me from the pharmacy while I waited for my ride home as they went to get the car. They made my follow up Dr. appointments for me and made sure the Dr. had all of the records and test results from the hospital stay. I have not received a bill yet so I cannot comment on that experience. Overall, I was highly impressed and could not recommend them more.

Rushed a friend into the emergency room who was vomiting blood with severe abdominal pains and was even passing out on the floor due to the intensity of his pain. While being walked back to a room, he passed out. As i was lifting him off the floor while he was still unconscious, I had to yell at the lady walking us to get a wheel chair. He regained consciousness, and before we got back to the room, the nurse decided to stop and have a conversation with her fellow nurse about what they were going to do after both of their shifts ended while my friend was sitting, moaning and uncontrollably shaking in pain. Some of the staff seems to have no care for the patients. NO URGENCY TO HELP PEOPLE AT ALL. On a good note, they had self dispensing hand sanitizer.

In the beginning of April, my father fell very ill and was hospitalized at Providence. He was on his last couple days of life and the staff was absolutely amazing! They kept him comfortable, and took such good care of him. One of the nurses overheard my brother talking about how our dad was a retired fire chief. Her husband is a fire chief so she called him and had him come in. He was dressed in his uniform, and also brought their Chaplin with him. I couldn't believe the love and care that was extended to our family during this time. Our mother was also hospitalized, and because she couldn't make it to see our father, the staff worked it out so that they could skype before he passed. I cannot explain how much it meant to our family that they made our father comfortable, and feeling safe, before he passed. All around I give this hospital a 5 star rating, and the doctors and nurses that helped my father, I cannot thank you enough. Not only did they take care of my father, but they took care of us as well.

The first time I came here years ago the nurse was super transphobic. I went just the other night for mental health reasons and they were totally unprofessional and left bruises and a big mark on my arm. Didn t even ask my food allergies so I wasn t able to eat the whole time I was there. If I could give negative starts I would. Two of the worst hospital experiences of my life.

I wish I could give it 0 stars...Worst hospital ever, both times I was in the ER with no help and long wait times and when my son was born, they didn't believe I was in labor. Finally an older nurse (who just got on shift) checked and found I was 6 cm dilated... they would have sent me home.. also not a single nurse or doctor checked my baby's position and had me push him breech... only to find that out when my baby's heartrate plummeted, resulting in an emergency c-section.... Again... WORST HOSPITAL EVER! DRIVE TO EVERGREEN OR OVERLAKE OR SWEDISH! It could save your life to drive 15 min more.

Went there a couple weeks ago because I was having a miscarriage. The nurses I had did great, but the OB I had Dr. Metcalf was the worst doctor I ever had in my life. She came in almost 2 hours after the ER doc called her. She came in the room, complaining that even if a surgery was needed for me she didn't want to do it because she already did a surgery today. Then she told me this was preventable and I caused it because I have an 11 month old son and I should have waited until he was at least 18 months old to conceive. She then walked out of the room. Even the nurse was speechless. I was told I needed a blood transfusion but they couldn't get a good vein so they just didn't do anything. Just told me to take some iron supplements and I'll feel better in a few days from the abnormal amount of blood loss. I was in so much pain, worse than labor. It was 1am when they discharged me. I asked if I could rest for 1 more hour because I have 5 kids and there is no rest at home. The ER doc Dr. Weaver told me "we don't let people rest for childcare purposes" and left the room. Horrible facility. I also let the clinical staff know that I did not want to take a certain medication. They gave it to me anyways without telling me what it was. This is neglect. Horrible, horrible providers. I feel like I should be suing.

Providence ER needs to be understood first and cri...

Providence ER needs to be understood first and criticized later. ER #1 job is to triage, not resolve life-threatening issues often in a specific generally accepted prioritized protocol (i.e. death imminent 1st, imminent harm to others 2nd, imminent loss of vital organ 3rd, imminent loss of limb 4th, etc...) Kidney stones, back pain, and any other order of situations such as these are very far down the list for ANY emergency room. We have had our share of ER issue over the years with Providence, however, once the prioritization process was communicated to us, we understood, and our expectations for the ER while lowered, where set appropriately.
Now, my reason for 5 starts is for their A7 Nursing staff - who are the definition of what competent and compassionate nursing is. My family has had to spend 5 days in a room there, every 3 weeks for treatment and that staff and its supporting Dr's catered to every request while communicating and supporting the treatment process.
I know this place has to deal with the insane amount of homeless, druggies, and other (as one poster put it) poor life choice folks, as there is nowhere else for them to go> One suggestion might be to improve security substantially. I have seen on more than one occasion during my visits, computer screens not signed out, questionable "family members" roaming the halls with filth, and coming out of the bathrooms on the 2nd floor. I was happy to see they now have metal detectors and security at the ER entry way. Kinda stinks that we have to pay for that, but if its what it takes to keep patients and staff safe - I'm glad it was done - to this outsider, more needs to be done to secure 2nd floor doors, bathrooms and entries...not to keep people out necessarily, but at minimum keep tabs on who is coming in.
So in short, go to the ER if your life is in danger, go to the clinic if it is not. If you are in severe pain, go to the ER but don't expect to be looked at straight away as there is likely a heart attack, aneurysm, gunshot wound, OD, or stabbing well ahead of you. For cancer treatment, IMHO, this place was/is phenomenal.

Worst hospital I've been to the few times I've gone the staff is always stuck up and rude it's disgusting and dirty last time I went the triage room was filthy garbage over flowing and on the floor the nurse and doctor were nice but front desk was rude I'd recommend going somewhere else if you can unless you wanna wait 5 plus hours to be seen

This is by far one of the worse hospitals I have ever been to. They misdiagnosed me in the ER and then a about a month later my daughter had an emergency so I called 911 the ambulance took her to prov and the doctors called CPS on me. I have never hurt my children nor would I ever and now I am dealing with CPS for a blood blister on my daughter's toe. Go somewhere else if u can this place is full of hacks

Absolutely horrible ! Came in at 7:15pm and didn't leave until 3am just waiting on a freaking blood test result !! Worst hospital I have ever been to and will not be back they do not take your care serious .

This is my nearest ER, but I do not use it for that purpose, as the ER here at Providence is very, very crowded due to it's downtown, urban location. The wise will heed this advice: If you need an ER go to Swedish Mill Creek. The address is 13020 Meridian Ave S Everett 98208

I do use the Providence lab though -located on the 1st floor near the main entrance, which I find it convenient. I'm usually in and out in under 20 mins. They have a "take-a-number" system. Not my favorite, but they make it work. The phlebotomists are adequate. Only once was I left bruised after a blood draw, unacceptable bc I have very prominent veins. Happily, the lab tech was willing to alter her methods in order to get a smooth draw w/no bleeding or bruising every time thereafter, which is important to me.

Update: they lost my standing order for the 3rd time this morning. Spare yourself. Choose another lab.

Terrible hospital even emergency room you have to wait for hours. We were brought from one room to another for over 8 hours and we were only able to see a doctor once for a few min after being shuffled in the EMERGENCY ROOM. Don't go here there are many other hospital that are much better and can actually coordinate people. Doctors and staff are unhelpful we have to end up going somewhere else in the long run to get the actual help we needed.

8+ Hours waiting and we were sent by another Dr. Who called ahead of time. I will do everything within my power to never have to come here again for any of my family members. Nursing staff were very friendly though and knew their jobs. Something is terribly wrong with the organization/management of this hospital.

Very disturbed to find out that Providence will not bill my 90 year old mother's insurance company for the several thousands dollars incurred there last year when she fell and broke both her shoulders. My mother has a lawsuit against the facility that caused her near-fatal fall, and because of this, Providence wants to wait and get money from the settlement. By their sheer GREED, and refusing to accept payment from her insurance (which she pays a LOT for monthly) they are jeopardizing her lawsuit. To be clear: my mother HAS insurance. Providence wants MORE than her insurance legally pays for services rendered. Providence is putting her lawsuit against the company that caused her fall, and was nearly settled, at high risk. OUT OF GREED. When Providence holds fundraisers? You can bet we will NOT be donating, or supporting Providence in any manner. Very disappointed that a person with medical insurance is STILL not a "good enough" client. Shameful, and disgraceful.

My boyfriend went here during the day for an infection - they ran no tests and offered two kinds of antibiotic, one of which he is allergic to and the other of which wouldn't be covered by insurance and so would cost $800. He left frustrated.
Later that night, we went to Swedish Hospital in Edmonds for a second opinion, and Swedish provided tests and prescriptions for both antibiotics and painkillers.
Avoid Providence Hospital, unless you are about to die, I would recommend going elsewhere.

EDIT/UPDATE: Swedish Hospital determined that if we had followed the advice of Providence (do nothing and hope it goes away), my boyfriend would have ultimately had to have had an limb amputation due to necrosis.
I am mortified at the horrifically low standards of care that Providence Hospital provides.
AVOID THIS HOSPITAL LIKE THE PLAGUE

How great do you guys feel working in an economy where someone can get no sleep because all they want to do is slice their jugular open! And god forbid should they be able to call 911! Since its 1000$ alone just o be transported to a 72 hr hold! Hope I don't find the strength to go through with it!

I've had better and more honest dealings with Wells Fargo. Seriously though, the triage sucks, wait times are long, there's never enough staff and if you need an ice pack for first aid you better bring one from home.

Great nurses when your admitted. The nurses in emergency room didn't seem to care. The 7th floor extended stay was extremely comforting though. Tons AF abdominal pain and the helped me through it the best they could. Both all staff seemed to care and responded every time I hit the button (I hit it a lot). Some of the nurses are conplete understanding sweethearts which was a huge help getting through my extremely painful few days. The food is my only real complaint but its a hospital so what can you do.

This place is a joke. The nurses sit in the triage rooms, lock the doors and do nothing. People are out here basically having heart attacks and they're too busy with their cell phones or chatting to be bothered? Don't come here, you'll likely die in the waiting room. Avoid this place and make absolutely no appointments to come here for ANYTHING. Over an hour and not one of the thirty people have even been seen by a nurse.

I can only confess that my experience at Providence was the very best in the world. Unfortunately my life is riddled with surgeries. And as a European -American, I had my surgeries all over the world. And in June last year after an angiogram, when I was informed by my Cardiologist that I needed emergency Cardiac bypass surgery, my, he made arrangements for me to have surgery in Providence. The care I received prior to my surgery was phenomenal. And during my stay, I experienced only the best care by nurses and staff. To sum up for curious readers, I can only say that if you choose Providence for your surgery, you will be in the best hands. My experience with the hospital was the best so far, and I would rate my experience with 10 stars if I could.

My husband went to a local walk-in clinic to be evaluated for stomach pains. The doc at the walk in suggested the ER based on a possible appendicitis. He waited 4-1/2 hours and finally walked out of the ER without being triaged or evaluated. I m beyond angry.

I have been at the er since about 3:45, and in that time frame I have seen a triage nurse, had my blood drawn and my vitals retaken. I am in pain, no one has asked if I need anything for the pain. It is like nobody cares useless you are an amputee or having a heart attack.

Avoid Dr. Chisholm!!! Hospital is fine but that man is an idiot who knows nothing.. gave me false information! Luckily he referred me to a dr in Kirkland who knows his stuff. Seriously. Switch doctors if you get him.

I was seen yesterday in the ER for cardiac related issues. Almost immediately they preformed an EKG in the waiting area. The wait to get a room was a little long, but it was also extremely busy.

Once a room came available, I was connected to monitoring equipment upon arrival in the room. I was then consulted by a nurse and the doctor, who all introduced themselves on a first name basis, within a matter of minutes. They began blood work right away, and continued to monitor my vitals. I was given a lot of reassurance and was able to remain calm in spite of the fact that I was very nervous.

During my stay the doctor ordered about every blood test imaginable to get to determine exactly what has happening. I also had a CT scan to look for any possible blockages. He seemed to genuinely care, and was very compassionate. At one point, he personally came to my room to disconnect my IV and monitors just so I could use the restroom. I feel he took the time to thoroughly answer my questions and concerns even though there was a high volume of people in the ER at the time.

When the determination was made to administer medication to treat my heart condition, they continued to monitor my heart rate for over an hour to assure it was able to maintain a safe rhythm before discharging me.

When I received my discharge instructions, the doctor provided me with a referral to a Cardiologist and outlined for me what would most likely happen next. I was also given information about my condition and the medications I need to take.

We were there for about 10 hours, which I was actually thankful for because I was very scared when we arrived at the hospital. By the time we left, I felt assured and confident in going home. I have nothing but phrase for my attending doctor and nurses. They took excellent care of me and kept me informed step by step of what was occurring.

Thank you Doctor Beecroft and the entire Providence team! I appreciate your professionalism and everything you did for me.

My mother was admitted to this hospital in February and died there. Everyone was attentive, thoughtful, professional & compassionate from the ER, to the ICU, to her final moments in a quiet part of the hospital, as hospice was full. We cannot thank them enough.

I went twice within weeks of each other forbroken bones and left me sitting in a hard chair for7 hours and then left me on a bed laying on my side which caused me to get bed sores. Even the cat scan they did said I didn't have broken bones. They kept lieing to me. I finally got xrays from my Dr. and guess what, I have 4 broken ribs and more. I will never go back to that hospital.

ER has some very professional staff (including the awesome social workers) and they treated my mom with such respect and dignity! Yes the wait times aren't good but that's what happens when you walk-in for non-emergencies.

My spouse had to have emergency surgery. I was laid up in bed due to a sevre wound from the same accident.
The surgery was at 6. He did not get done until 10. I called left a message saying I would like the doctor to call to give a update on his condition. Since I was not taking him home an wanted to know. The Dr called. My call got disconnected. I called right back. Got the rudest nusre that said the Dr left and there was nothing she could do for me. Hung up the phone an that was the end of that conversation. UNACCEPTABLE!!! I have been a patient of providence for 13 years. An I have never been treated like this. when you have a loved one in the hospital an you don't know what is going on. Think about that the next time you hang up on someone

We were there for 3 hours last night due to my mom having an injury that even we don t even know what s wrong with it. We went there knowing nothing, and we left knowing NOTHING.

There was this nice doctor who brought us into the room and made an assumption that could ve been her kidneys and just in case, had my mom pee in a cup.

When the other doctor came in all he did was poke at her back, suggest giving her meds she hasn t tried, keep in mind he did NOTHING with the urine.

I thought this was a hospital..

There current policy of no visitors is the biggest BS policy! I know we aren t the only one but they expect my wife, whose pregnant, to experience everything through appointments and ultrasounds ALONE! My wife s mental health is worth more then not allowing one extra person with her. My wife has literally felt like she s been doing this pregnancy, our first, alone since I haven t been able to attend with her.
Providence please check your policy and don t think about just COVID! You re causing more mental and physical health problems by trying to stop one thing!

The nurses were great and so were the doctors. However, they have no concern for people when they leave. I drove myself to the hospital. When they went to release me (after 5:30) I informed them I had no one at home and no heat. They didn't care. Matter of fact I asked for an escort to my car and they said that they won't go past the door. So they watched as I left my room dragging my stuff behind me because I have a broken arm and my bandage on another wound came off so I was bleeding all the way. NOT NICE!!!!!!

Constantly being over charged! Because front desk or schedulers put in wrong code. Billing wont help. We are not coders! So every time I go to drs. I have to fight about my bill. I so far have always been right.

I would much rather give this place a 0. Rude nurses.. Dr's don't listen. Substandard care. No one seems to know what's going on in care plans. If the problem is complicated..you're screwed. Lots of guessing for diagnosis without real proof of the problem.
Had to beg to have linens changed or to get help with a shower. Room was not cleaned daily. Husband almost died because of substandard care. Fortunately I took him to UW Med Ctr. They saved his life. But he lost his leg. And has been hospitalized since Aug. We have and will never have anything to do with Providence or anything affiliated with them.

I've never written a review;honestly, I never thought of looking online. I was sent a questionnaire about my stay which I returned.
If you unfortunate enough to go into Critical Care or Intensive Care, you will probably get the best doctor in the world who, before she became a Hospitalist for Prov Ev was in a medical group specializing in pulmonary medicine. She was my physician then and SHE SAVED MY LIFE!! Her name is Dr. Julie Wood.. She admitted me with r sided heart failure & a diagnosis no one else knew - primary arterial pulmonary hypertension, pretty rare at the time and critical. I received the very BEST care in CCU..This happened beforethe new tower, but still a wonderful experience. The food was good too!! And I was impressed once I began to feel better, with the menu.. I taken friends to the ER, and yes, it is crowded and understaffed.. I agree.. but I came in by 911 with what was diagnosed later as severe dehydration.. They were more than attentive - yes I waited for the oncall ER physician, but they hooked up iv''s, did blood work right away and admitted me. So please for those reading these reviews, don't eliminate Providence for your healthcare. They are a Level II trauma center - do you really want to go down to Harborview, a Level I trauma care.. unless you are in a car accident and unconscious, the police call 911 and they many times do take you down to Seattle. I was grateful I was in Everett, my home, so friends could visit me when I was allowed visitors.. Today I am still grateful to be alive and thank Providence for the excellent care I got.

Admitted to ER for heat exhaustion considering the recent hot weather in May, only to be considered a joke because as the dr said "it's Washington" and "I'm the first case" and the dr wrote a note that I can go back to work the same day apparently in the same condition that I came in the ambulance in. According to thier website it states in thier hospital services "Our world-class, board-certified physicians and staff offer you exceptional skills, state-of-the-art technology, and the most compassionate, respectful care of any provider in the Greater Seattle area.". I definitely did not receive compassion and respect.

I was sent to the ER by an urgent care doctor because of excruciating pain in my hand. Most of the staff was very kind, but one employee, a nurse practitioner, was absolutely nasty to me. She yanked my hand all around, putting me in extreme pain. Her attitude was very unprofessional, and she treated me like the pain I was in was not worth her time. She left abruptly, and the other gal in the room apologized profusely for the bad attitude of the nurse practitioner. I was treated like a low life by that woman, and with her lack of empathy, she is in the wrong line of work!

Fair medical services unless you have been drinking or they think your a drug seeker. Facility is not as clean as one would think.room food horrible and cafeteria over priced. Staff seems to call on Ubereats for best deals, selection and # 1 options.

Extremely rude staff, nurses have this authoritarian attitude of do as I say or you are not welcome here attitude. My elderly mother checked in and right away when she confronted the nurse about what she was doing and why she was doing it, she was met with immediate resistance and a terrible attitude of control ! There isn t enough room to give all the details of this awful encounter but at the end of the visit my mother told the nurse she would never come back to this hospital again, the nurse immediately responded by saying GOOD- because we don t want you here again ! This is 100% true and an accurate, this is not some made up story.
Shame on this hospital for allowing health
care professionals of this level of immaturity to work here.

I had my child here and was prepared to say I absolutely love this place. I certainly loved the nurses and my care while I was there---it was above and beyond my expectations. However, then the billing came. There were a lot of bills messed up that I had to have corrected (they didn't bill my insurance). After some weeks, it came down to 3 dates of service that still were not billed correctly. After weeks of fighting them to send these bills and the billing department saying they would, but never actually doing it, one of the persons in the department said that the system was kicking back their bill request automatically because I was showing as not being covered during that time. They claim the system problem isn't their fault, but is Lifewise's problem. So I had Lifewise call them directly and request the 3 dates of service. They again said they would send them, and they didn't. More fighting with them, more responses of 'Yes, we will send that out right now." And here I am today, having had Lifewise call them again, this time stating that they (Lifewise) would have them faxed immediately and not get off the phone with me until they were in her hand... But Providence outright refused to fax them, saying that they would be sent electronically. Which probably means... they never will. I'm told that after a year that I will become liable for the full bill, even though I have coverage, even though I've requested 10+ times that they bill my insurance. The people in the billing department are incapable of doing their jobs correctly and lack the care to make sure that your bills are done properly so that you're not stressing about it for nearly a year. Update 2017: the bills were never sent to Lifewise, and after a year they became ineligible for insurance. At least I wasn't held accountable for them though - Providence actually just dropped them.

I ve been waiting for 6 hours to literally just find out my results to my x Ray and literally I m still waiting in the lobby for my results and Remind u I showed up at 8:30 pm and it s 3am and yet I still have not found out my results, whenever I walk up the front desk they look at me crazy and just always been saying all the rooms are full but whenever someone comes and checks in they get helped right away and get a room so I m wondering why the wait is so long and why you guys are having customers or people sleep on the floor just to get some help from the hospital it s literally the most ridiculous hospital I ve been to

Care is okay depending on the nurse.

Care is okay depending on the nurse.
The "housekeeping" they claim they have neglected to clean the bathrooms that were so disgusting i wouldnt let my daughter use them. Smelt like pee, toilets are disgusting, trash and debris all over the floors. The trash not only in the bathrooms are constantly over flowing.

Horrible, wrong medical coding on emergency visits. Check your statements even with insurance. Medical costs are on the rise and we have to be diligent. I was charged with self-inflicted injury for a pinched off finger in a metal chair. Guaranteed it wasn't self-inflicted. My insurance denied the claim and providence sent me to collections. If you have a choice do not go to a Providence owned facility!

After not listening to my wife's concerns while in labor- the nurse helping us sent her home. It put us in a really bad position and almost had our baby at home. Had they listened to us, it would have been a peaceful delivery. Instead it was one of the scariest situations in our lives so far. The nurse made it seem like we were overreacting and the baby was a long ways from being born- obviously not!

Torn. Most of our visits at Prov was really good. Then there was a time my daughter was in a lot of pain due to Ehlers-Danlos and having seizures. Dr. Barrett Adams was the doctor we got stuck with in the ER. He literally mocked my daughters seizures, put her down and humiliated her. He would not listen to us and wouldn't give us any help. The worst experience ever. Talked to the charge nurse in the ER about this doctors and still nothing was accomplished. Prov overall is 5 stars. Just this horrible doctor. (Dr. Barret Adams). I guess some people should just not be doctors. Providence what were you thinking when you hired this jerk?

I was seen in ER for a possible stroke. From the moment I got there and was rushed into a room, I received excellent care. Had a CT and MRI done, all involved did a wonderful job and treated me with kindness and compassion. Being a Level 2 Trauma Center, this was an exceedingly busy ER, and I was there for almost 8 hours. With this in mind, I was still treated great by everyone involved.

Sadly I don't have $10,000 to donate to Providence Medical Center to get invited to their Coronavirus Vaccination party so I am giving them 1 star. I though being a "Catholic" based institution that they would follow the teaching of Jesus, but maybe they follow a different Bible...the one where Jesus scorns the poor in favor of the rich. Either way, go somewhere that actually cares about humans instead of paper money.

I waited over 3 hours to be seen in the ER and another two hours waiting in the ER to be moved after being admitted with only two other people in the waiting room for the ER at that time. In those 3 hours the only vitals taken were my temperature when I walked in. The inefficiency of the entire hospital is beyond any form of common sense. The substandard cleanliness is my biggest concern at this hospital. Their lack of attentiveness can mean life or death and I saw very little accountability, specifically in the ER. I was given a medicine that specifically states to avoid using it with one of my other medications that I have been on for years. If possible I recommend going to a different hospital and if not make sure someone is with you to advocate for you.

Waited multiple hours to be treated for an asthma attack. Was left waiting for treatment unable to breathe correctly. Inhumane and degrading experience all around. This is one of the worst facilities I've ever been treated at.

I was airlifted into this hospital, so I can't account for the admission procedures, but the quality of care during my stay was nothing short of fantastic. There were of course a few things that I would have liked to be different, the health care system in this country leaves much to be desired, but this is not the fault of the hospital. Nurses, doctors, even cleaning staff were generally of high caliber.

The ICU in this hospital is the best. I went in to have stents put in for blockage in my heart. They did not put them in because the doctors found I was in worse shape than anticipated. They had to do a triple bypass. Surgery was scheduled for five days in the future. They would not let me go home because i was a high risk for heart attack. The doctors explained everything completely. The nursing staff was incredibly caring and professional. They knew exactly what they were doing, explained anything I wanted to know, after surgery, were gentle and human, talking to me in the early hours of the morning when I couldn't sleep or was scared, moving me around to help alleviate the pain from the position I was in, they were so positive, encouraging and had the utmost patience with me. I felt like a VIP the whole time I was there. It was the most afraid I have ever been and because of the caring nurses and doctors it was an experience I will never forget. I'd give them a million stars if I could.

The nursing staff was okay-and I briefly thought medial care would take place. Apparently the paramedic assessment was of, as has been the lab work that I have had ABNORMAL for OVER NINE MONTHS-and as I am admitted this morning SOMEWHERE ELSE or a feeding tube, I am sorely disappointed at the hugely falling standard of (or lack of) care: a patient has 3 visits for acute dehyration, inability to keep in food or fluids, and is criticized by the MD for VERY MUCH OLD issues that have not been, given one label when barely uttering a word-and never so much as asking for a thing-other than objectivity? Well, if you have a rare disorder-and expect to be believed-I wish you the best. EVEN when their own testing CONFIRMED it: the focus on one thing-same as the white house labeling anyone-whether the take the gabrage or not: with something that never applied in the first place. The best way to survive this ER? Stay home, see your doc in the morning-if you don't have one? CHC, but wherever you go if you expect healthcare-or even a doc with compassion? Online you can pay for better care.

There one month later due to inability to perform job, yet the "fun" continues. I got MRSA at another hospital (different city, but firmly established history. Teated as usual (a child or garbage), and "Non-human attitude.

Too bad Snohomish County lacks any decent health care that I have yet to find. Tonight? That took the boat. An antibiotic that my doc will have to rewrite in the morning: But with the abscess my guess? Direct admission: Just this time....I will roll over and die before I go to a place where someone approaches you and speaks to you like you are 2 (42), and that does irritate me: a great deal. Filing grievance but agains the individuals. Trust me: this hospital doesn't care about staff mistakes-I am resistant, well documented to what I got-and offered medication I am allergic to and literally via testing? Cannot process.it. Or one LIKE it.

So this is what I get? When my own calls off sick? I am waiting it out-NEVER again!

STOP-ER-ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK-Nurses rude at times, even towards their co-workers, lots of personal chatting at the nurses station, listening to music, Once you have seen a nurse or doctor they never return for hours, including waiting for test results. Bathroom (floor filthy), patients room floor dust and dirt around the bed and chair area. If possible, bring a book to read, for the hours you spend in your room and testing will take from 3 to 9 hours (not including wait time in the lobby). Management has definitely neglected to review all comments of 2.7 and correct this serious situation. Thank you and good luck on your next visit to the ER.

This is a poor excuse for a emergency hospital. My husband has gone to the ER twice in the last 26 years and this is the second one. Shame on Providence, there was one triage and over 30 people waiting to get help, one man was bleeding and several were in terrible circumstances. My husband and I left to get help elsewhere and on our way out there were more people coming in and they would have to wait hours just to be looked at in the triage. If one person feels rushed to aid the next person mistakes are made and none of my family will be one of Providences accidents.
