I was seen yesterday in the ER for cardiac related issues. Almost immediately they preformed an EKG in the waiting area. The wait to get a room was a little long, but it was also extremely busy.

Once a room came available, I was connected to monitoring equipment upon arrival in the room. I was then consulted by a nurse and the doctor, who all introduced themselves on a first name basis, within a matter of minutes. They began blood work right away, and continued to monitor my vitals. I was given a lot of reassurance and was able to remain calm in spite of the fact that I was very nervous.

During my stay the doctor ordered about every blood test imaginable to get to determine exactly what has happening. I also had a CT scan to look for any possible blockages. He seemed to genuinely care, and was very compassionate. At one point, he personally came to my room to disconnect my IV and monitors just so I could use the restroom. I feel he took the time to thoroughly answer my questions and concerns even though there was a high volume of people in the ER at the time.

When the determination was made to administer medication to treat my heart condition, they continued to monitor my heart rate for over an hour to assure it was able to maintain a safe rhythm before discharging me.

When I received my discharge instructions, the doctor provided me with a referral to a Cardiologist and outlined for me what would most likely happen next. I was also given information about my condition and the medications I need to take.

We were there for about 10 hours, which I was actually thankful for because I was very scared when we arrived at the hospital. By the time we left, I felt assured and confident in going home. I have nothing but phrase for my attending doctor and nurses. They took excellent care of me and kept me informed step by step of what was occurring.

Thank you Doctor Beecroft and the entire Providence team! I appreciate your professionalism and everything you did for me.
