This is the oldest restaurant in Paris, so of course the place is beautiful and full of history.
The food is delicious but for the amount of money you pay, the service needs to improve.

Good food. Great atmosphere. Four stars due to the speed of our service. We we the first in the dining room by at least 10 minutes and watched as 5 tables received the entrees before us (we ordered the specials). It was very frustrating because it was our first night in Paris and had been traveling for 15+ hours at that point. It's one thing when no one is receiving their food. It's frustrating when the table next to you has slowly eaten and finished their entrees and you're still waiting.

This restaurant looked like any other but the food and service were beyond anything we expected. It was packed but they managed to squeeze us in and then served us quickly and deliciously. Don't judge thus book by its cover. Great food. Wonderful service and it has a Michelin Star. Maybe 2 by now?

I would dine here anytime. I read some bad reviews about the food and the attitude, either the reviewer mistook the place for somewhere else or I dined at another place. Everything was perfect for me, great food, cooked to perfection and the service excellent. Recommended.

Very disappointing, the menu is banal, dishes without flavors, even the presentation of dishes is not neat. Obviously the restaurant enjoys the beauty of the place and its prestige to practice exorbitant prices unrelated to what is served ....

Not bad, but not great; if you go here expect 5 stars for the nostalgia, 4 stars for food and 3 stars for service. Very cool spot. For the food you get it s a bit expensive, but it is in Paris, so.... can t complain about the location

Celebrated my birthday here with friends last year. Such a unique and inviting, yet intimate, setting. The food was fantastic (not a culinary experience of a lifetime, but perfectly respectable). Service was excellent. Have already recommended to friends and will go back next time I'm in Paris.

I expected an overrated reception compared to the standard that the establishment wants to give itself.

But I didn't expect the hostess and the room manager to talk over us, looking contemptuously from head to toe as we approached the exit.

Too bad for them, I turned around at the right time. What a lack of professionalism!

This proves that the reception is overrated and not sincere .... as for the quality of the dishes ... really nothing more.

We eat ten times better in Parisian bouibouis, in which:
- the smile comes from the heart,
- the welcome is truly warm,
- you are not encouraged to consume,
- we do not have the impression of disturbing,
- we are really welcome
- and it's ten times cheaper.

The millefeuilles ... what a disappointment! No authenticity! For originality, it is a failure. I expected a real French millefeuilles. The onion soup was of fairly average quality.

It was the oldest cafe in Paris. At the time of the French Revolution, it was a hangout for politicians, literary writers, and philosophers who had a long history. You can eat typical French. Recommended.

The most classic of French cafes: frog legs, escargot, foie gras, coq au vin, all the classics. The restaurant has a rich history dating back to 1686. Highly recommend for couples or a group of 4 looking to have a nice, intimate dinner. Subtle flavors and great service.

Very good evening in this historic place! Everything we ate was delicious, but the pumpkin, chestnut and cream of mushroom soup is my favorite The coffee is magnificent and we took care of us. Frankly a place to come back !!

THE REALITY WAS A GREAT DECEPTION. !!! THE LITTLE LETTER AND VERY LITTLE INTERESTING. THE TABLES ARE STITCHED ONE NEXT TO THE OTHER, YOU EAT WITH PEOPLE THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW ONLY ARE SEPARATE BY 5 OR 10 CM BETWEEN ONE AND ANOTHER. STAFF CARE IS NOT BAD. THE PRICES FOR THE PRODUCTS THAT OFFER ARE HIGH. RECOMMENDATION: LET IT PASS, AROUND THERE ARE 30 RESTAURANTS WITH BETTER LETTER PRICE AND WAVE.

Sicilians have always exported their ability to get by and their art of living everywhere.

The restaurant, opened in 1696, quickly enjoyed great success thanks above all to the coffee and ice creams that it imported from Italy.

In the eighteenth century the liberal ideas of Diderot and d'Alembert took shape between the Procope tables and during the French revolution Robespierre, Danton and Marat gathered there to make the most important decisions; Benjamin Franklin also used to go to the Procope to draw up his documents.
After some time the restaurant remains a place full of history, as the paintings and decoration testify, in which you can spend a pleasant moment for a lunch, a dinner or just a cup of tea.

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our first night in Paris after traveling for 11 hours. Without knowing any of its fascinating history, we were attracted to the 18th century style decor and the lively atmosphere. Obviously we didn t have a reservation but the hostess was extremely helpful and we sat in the waiting area and had some of their house wine, which was delicious. It was a Friday so we did have to wait a while but it was a very pleasant experience. If you decide to dine here, read up on the story about this cafe because it is so interesting! So when we finally sat down at our table, we ordered the prix fixe menu (entree + main or main + desert), which is quite reasonably priced for a nice restaurant in Paris ( 35 per person I believe). Food was great and the servers were really busy but had amazing work ethics. We had a great time there. But more importantly, I felt like we kinda became part of the restaurant s history, along with all the artists and philosophers who once gathered here to hang out! Really cool spot

Five stars for the beautiful position and the history of the restaurant, mediated by not relevant service, unavailability of the product (they had finished 3 of the chosen things) and food not worthy of note. The prices are not very high (if you don't choose wine) considering the uniqueness of the place (between 20-34 euros for a dish)

A beautiful setting unfortunately the rates are too high. Nice service but too much speed. The price of wines and digestive, in particular, is offbeat. The food is good without reaching peaks. Better to limit yourself to the menu.

Its just old. The restaraunt is touristy and leans on the fact that it is old to bring in customers. The food was sub par. If you want excelllent parisian food dont go here. Just read about it online instead.

Fire the Procope !!! Sorry that before its purchase we could move to the first floor with the illusion of lunch with the characters who made history here we relegate to the ground floor when it is not on the sidewalk. Privatization and profitability oblige
Tight against each other in a dark room no intimacy
We still remember some emblematic dishes not enough for us to come back

Exceptional card, a real moment of history.

Exceptional card, a real moment of history.
The food is very good, but the prices are quite high.
The service is quite slow (which is understandable considering the complexity of the dishes)

There is a waiter running around and he cannot reach everywhere. Good for those who are accustomed to French cuisine and services. A change with optimistic terms for us, on the other hand, torment.

O my... For me it was a dream come true. Having a plate of Le Procope Signature, sitting under Napoleon's famous hat, on a Saturday afternoon... What else could I ask for?
The plate was marvelous, enough for 3-4 people, I couldn't finish it. All type of seafood, even those I couldn't recognized. Tasted all, and almost finished the whole plate. Service was good, French style.
Go!

terrace on one of the oldest and most picturesque streets of Paris (stiletto heels to avoid if you fear poorly fitted cobblestones).
stylish service (by 3 different servers) ... dishes and menus remaining affordable (from_30 ) compared to the excellent map
you have to see the various rooms upstairs that have kept a particular style ... under the pretext of going to the toilet (hmm ... sorry to use the "amenities") for example
tip: if you go at noon and week ... the rooms on the 1st floor will be empty

It is one of the most exquisite restaurants in Paris, moreover, also one of the oldest, founded in the late 1600s. Its menu is vast, varied, emphasizing traditional cuisine, fish and seafood. You can choose the old menu of 1700, cow's head or coq au vin.
In the saucepan, the coq au vin. Superb !!!!

It is a brasserie as there are many in Paris.
