We stumbled upon this restaurant on our first nigh...

We stumbled upon this restaurant on our first night in Paris after traveling for 11 hours. Without knowing any of its fascinating history, we were attracted to the 18th century style decor and the lively atmosphere. Obviously we didn t have a reservation but the hostess was extremely helpful and we sat in the waiting area and had some of their house wine, which was delicious. It was a Friday so we did have to wait a while but it was a very pleasant experience. If you decide to dine here, read up on the story about this cafe because it is so interesting! So when we finally sat down at our table, we ordered the prix fixe menu (entree + main or main + desert), which is quite reasonably priced for a nice restaurant in Paris ( 35 per person I believe). Food was great and the servers were really busy but had amazing work ethics. We had a great time there. But more importantly, I felt like we kinda became part of the restaurant s history, along with all the artists and philosophers who once gathered here to hang out! Really cool spot
