Excellent seafood platter.

Excellent seafood platter.
Served late. Super fresh.
Cozy and cozy atmosphere. Fast service and pleasant staff. The best after a day of sightseeing and a good show.
5 stars for the meal, the atmosphere and the place.

[SHIFT] Another visit. At least not good. The framework, the service and the irreproachable reception. But a reduced menu, without seafood. A relatively limited choice and less tasty. Warm dishes in hot plates. It's a shame, especially since the price is high. No magic tonight.

Wonderful and full of history. It is very expensive, but the menu of the day itself can be allowed, and the food is very good.
The waiters treat you like a marquis, even if you are a backpacker, and you appreciate the exquisite education and the lack of classism.
They keep antiques like the desks of Rousseau and Voltaire, who were regular customers, as was Napoleon, and Sartre and Camus and so many others ...

Great Environment, Fair prices for the quality of the food you get. Staff was kind and accommodating and were proficient in helping us in English.

Everything was ABSOLUTELY wonderful and I would recommend ANYONE in Paris to make a trip here!

very nice menu full of traditional French cousine and sea food, but everything a bit rushed. very small tables, no space, no privacy. The food was great but in a such restaurant you would expect more care and waitor to learn some English!!! menu for 30eu... plastic menu list ... 2 stars

A nice dive in the Paris of the late eighteenth century. A value for money quite reasonable given the neighborhood. I want to emphasize the professionalism and kindness of Francesco, who has served us. It is largely thanks to him that we return to this mythical place so quickly. Brice

Historical, iconic place. Traditional French cuisine, everything was so delicious and decadent. Food is elegantly plated and looks like artwork. Service is very friendly and welcoming. There is a legend that Napoleon lost his hat there so the hat in the window of the restaurant claimed to be his. His or not, it s great marketing and paying tribute to great times in their history. Hats off to chef who made absolutely delicious, incredibly tasty dishes, paired with equally flavourful wine it was great meal and memorable time in Paris.

The Procopius remains faithful to the disinterest ...

The Procopius remains faithful to the disinterest it engenders. It is with an unparalleled work force that everything comes together to make an establishment that is hardly suitable for a disagreeable memory without being disastrous.

First of all being curtly refused access to the first floor on the pretext that all the tables would be taken, when you know the establishment and the rooms on the ground floor are half empty, it's quite annoying . But hey, I understand that in reality the upper rooms are unoccupied and that we do not want to divide the staff present. But there is a way and a way ...

Classic and tempting menu.

Let's go for 12 snails as a starter. In fact, it is rather them who immediately go back to the kitchen because they are barely warm. They come back quickly. Yeh!

The tuna tartare is nicely presented and classic.

The worst comes from baby onions. It should perhaps be remembered in the kitchen that they are very easy to peel, provided they are left to soak in water beforehand. Otherwise, it's a hassle and obviously a tired little hand has botched the job.

Honest strawberry plant. Nice presentation but which is more of a pastry product than a restaurant, medium range strawberries. Pastry cream without relief.

Rather disastrous end of service because of team transition. The new young waiter is arrogant, barks "What? Is there a problem with the card?" on the customers at the next table because they did not understand something. Besides, he knows everything about everything. I wonder why I sweated to do a CAP for a year. I should have hired him as a professor emeritus ...

Chipped glass on the table. Just for Laughs.

And you can say "Goodbye" to customers when they leave. Just to be nice.

If the food is honest, the accumulated negligence is unacceptable at this level of pretension and addition. Obviously, we live a lot with tourists in "one shot" so we say to ourselves that it is not serious. They paid, we won't see them again anytime soon. Neither do I...

Addition of 127.10 euros for 2.

Like others have said the history is amazing, but the food is subpar. If the place didnt have history it would be ok kitchen nightmares. Come for coffee and desert if you want the experience, but skip a meal.

Edit: I made the review before desert and coffee as I assumed they couldn t mess that up. I was wrong. Just come for wine. Service was pretty good

We go to Procope to offer a trip back in time because it is one of the oldest restaurants in Paris, Voltaire, Diderot or Rousseau came to eat there. The food is classic and correct but at inappropriate prices. The visit is especially for the decor that has kept all its charm.

A very good address in Paris to eat the essentials of French gastronomy, all in an extraordinary place. You feel transported back in time. The welcome and the service are also impeccable. To test with family / group or to share with foreign friends.

Great heritage, delicious food, definitely worth visiting... but avoid the oysters - you'll be amazed how ill a bad oyster can make you, and it certainly won't improve your time in Paris.

Visiting Paris with a friend. She wanted to eat here for her birthday. Pleasant dining experience. We shared frog legs and escargot. The Mushroom appetizer as well as the Scallop Risotto were heavenly. Very rich. And then finished it off with Tiramisu. Wonderful food. Great atmosphere.
