Discriminatory against fathers. I have joint custody with my Ex. Either Primary Children's Same Day Surgery doesn't have a correct policy or they are not following policy.

Complete failure to share information when my daughter was in surgery. I couldn't get a report on when my Daugher was out of surgery. (This is a HIPAA violation - I'm a male nurse who taught on HIPAA when it came out)

Complete failure to correct the matter when I was talking to several people. Couldn't be bothered to get me a social worker for HOURS. Simply asking to talk to someone in a civil manner was apparently "intimidating" enough that they put security out to watch me. I'm wondering if complaints need to be filed with DOPL against the licenses of those professionals.

Finally, they told me they would do a discharge discussion at the very END of 5-6 hours of nail-biting for a worried father. This is completely unacceptable.

All in all, this was a pretty horrible experience. And the unfortunate fact that PCH has a "monopoly" on Pediatric medical care means that this needs to be seriously corrected.

When I was 3 in a half (2003) I had a livertransplant and thanks to my dad and primary's they saved my life! I spent 48 days in the hospital. And they took wonderful care of me and my family! Thank you so much. To this day I am 16 and I'm leaving healthy and good! Everyone once in a while I will get sick with my weaked ammune system so I will end up in primary's and they take amazing care of me! Love Alyssa Osborne

My daughter has a rare disease and goes to primaries all the time for lab draws and clinic. The staff have never let me down. She is always well taken care of and the staff recognizes her every time we get a lab draw. She was admitted at one point for a separate rare disease and the staff did a great job keeping her healthy and acting quickly to make sure the outcome was positive. They worked as a team to make sure all aspects of her health were taken care of. At times we had multiple specialists collaborating to make sure all around she was taken care of. At this point I dont trust anyone as much as Primaries. Thanks for all you guys do you saved her life.

Went in for ER visit for baby girl. I knew it would be expensive because of my type of insurance. NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $1500 FOR IBUPROFEN, A NASAL SWAB AND A DOC WHO SAID "HMM I'M NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON". Disappointed and distressed dont begin to explain it. If they are so crazy expensive at least have someone come talk to u before they stick a cotton swab up your baby's nose and charge you $628 for it. Worse part, had i known i would have bought a $10 ibuprofen OTC and have the same outcome.

Went into ER and was in and out within an hour! Baby is happier and we as parents were reassured he is going to be just fine! I've waited for a longer amount of time prior to this visit but I don't mind waiting if another child is more in need of immediate attention. Thank you all for doing what you do and comforting parents and kids!

We have been to Primary Children's Hospital many times in the last 6years; my son was born with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. We work closely with the Spina Bifida Clinic and the NeuroScience Trauma Unit. All the doctors and nurses have a special place in our heart. We feel so grateful to have such a wonderful hospital full of amazing doctors and nurses so close to us.
Thank you Primary Children's Hospital!

I took my son up to the hospital when he was 3 months old in December 2014, my son was diagnosed with bilateral hydronephosis, what this means is my son's kidneys were 2 and 3 times normal size when I was pregnant with him. When i was still pregnant I met with Maternal Fetal Medicine, Dr. Hales in STG Utah, (Where I live), I took him up to this hospital, and got all the tests done, bladder tests, ultrasounds, MRIs, the whole shebang, I got him a scheduled surgery for 3 days later, and it was a non invasive surgery (they went thru his urethra), and he hasn't had any problems since! They have greatly improved his quality of life. He is now 14 months old, he is a happy, healthy toddler! I can't thank you enough Primary Children's Hospital!!!!!

I took my one year old baby for an allergy test and we needed to do a blood test. So we took her to do the blood test and there were two nurses, I am not going to give their names, I am going to call them nurse A and B. So nurse A started to get everything ready so she went ahead and put the needle in my baby's arm, so she couldn't find the vein so she kind of started digging in my little girl's arm. Here is when it comes nurse B and told nurse A let me do it, what I think is nurse A was practicing which is understandable that they are not 100% qualified for everything, but nurse B came she kept doing the same thing in the baby's arm. So I told them pretty much get the needle out of her arm and I left. I have to say both of those nurses were unprofessional and in need of more learning. I don't know how they can qualify to work in a children's hospital when they don't know how to work with children. Was my worst experience ever on that place. But I am not going to judge everyone there. I just had the bad luck to have these two unprepared nurses helping my baby.

I went in with suspicion of my daughter having pneumonia. I checked in through the emergency room. Once I got to the back they had me waiting forever; I stepped out to ask someone about how much longer before my daughter is seen. Before I could ask anyone, Dr. Douglas S. Nelson said to a nurse as if I couldn t hear him, if she closes that door and stops this damn beeping I will eventually go in to see that baby . Once I heard that I refused care from him because I didn t feel my daughter was safe or going to be cared for properly by this doctor. I then left the hospital and I will continue to file complaints and grievance with both my insurance and the hospital until something is done about this because that was unexceptable.

My son was taken to the ER here in 2012. my ex-wife never paid the hospital bill. I would have been *happy* to take care of the bill had I known about it - but didn't learn of the unpaid bill until my entire tax return was confiscated on behalf of the hospital. Every time I attempted to speak to a supervisor in their collections department about this, I was told they were "not available" or "in a meeting". Unlikely. The agent also told me their system does "not allow them" to keep a second address on file which was the absurd reason given for their never having contacted me about this. *Really*? how do they manage double-insurance then? Clearly this too was a lie. I was promised that a supervisor would call me to help me resolve this issue, however I was never called. More lies.

I do not know how they managed to take legal action against me while I was completely unaware that there was even a problem but you can be sure that a company - like an individual - can be judged by the company they keep. They (or their collections department) shamelessly engage in predatory collections tactics which are *certainly* immoral - if not actually illegal. They are deliberately unhelpful and completely dishonest.

Avoid this hospital.

negligent care

You were very aware of my experience, since 4 of my children had surgery there. I went to risk management and to your accrediting agency, who opened an investigation based on my concerns; you did everything you could to not only not address concerns, but to cover your tracks. At this point, please don't add insult to very serious injury. It cannot be undone.

Horrible experience. They kept mixing my daughter's chart up with someone else's. Couldn't believe all the threats I was faced with as a mother. They charted horrible lies. I grew up believing they were the greatest, but we lived a total nightmare. We were vulnerable and needed help and they have some nasty people there. After coming home and requesting our medical records they still were horrible. Most of the records weren't available. I am a registered nurse. I can't believe how unprofessional they were. Half the staff was good the other half deplorable! Sad.

Just because of billing for some services I hope to NEVER have to go back or take my future children there. I've. Even going there for over 12 years (started when I was in 5th grade) I feel bad for my parents having to deal with there billing department all those years. Now that I'm on my own I HATE that place because of billing!!!

My son is 8 weeks old he was lifeflighted to prima...

My son is 8 weeks old he was lifeflighted to primary children's. The week before he was lifeflighted he was hospitalized at Utah Valley and they were amazing, they ran tests and did everything to find out what was wrong with my son. They did a live ultrasound with primary children's they concluded that his digestive system was working slower than normal. Our regular Dr. Diagnosed him with "failure to thrive", because he was vomiting a lot, he was not gaining enough weight. And the slow digesting was most likely the cause why. He was lifeflighted to primary children's the week after all this, because he went pale white, non responsive, and eyes rolling to the back of his head. The Dr. at primarys was only focusing on the weight gain and failed to run tests up there. Our regular hospital ran some tests before he was lifeflighted came back normal but some tests they could not run due to not having the resources. Anyways I hated the Dr. at primarys she refused to listen, she was disrespectful basically called us liars and how she did not see anything wrong with him except "failure to thrive". Anyways he started doing weird things with his eyes and going white I went and got "our nurse" she told me to videotape that so they could see. I don't have time to videotape it if it's seizures he would need medical attention not a videotape. We had a social worker come in and said "I heard you are not happy with the care"?, we said "no, because the Dr. and the nurse will not listen". I said "they wont run tests to find out what is wrong with my son". He then has the nerve to say "they have ran tests". I looked at him and "said no they have not, but Utah Valley did last weekend and found this wrong". He then asked "have you been here the whole time"? I said "yes we only have left to get food". He left said "he would come by the next day". That same night me and my fiance decided to go get dinner from the cafeteria, we were not gone long we walked into my son's room and he was laying in vomit, the same nurse came running in admitted she knew he puked, but did not expect us back that soon. I am beyond livid you people are supposed to be taking care of kids, what if my son would have choked?. Social worker never came back, Dr. never ran tests and that nurse acted like we were the plague. We then seen that nurse when she was switching shifts and told the nurse coming on shift to leave my son's iv in even though they have not used it once, so when he is weighed he weighs heavier. That is false weight you should be real proud of your nurse trying to falsify weight gain. The Dr. discharged us the next day and everytime I brought up the slow digesting she said no not the case. Utah Valley has the test results for proof. I will never go back here or recommend this hospital to anyone. My son has to see a gastrointestinal specialist even though the Dr. At primarys said "no he is digesting fine". And the gastrointestinal specialist will not be from that hospital. We did have some great nurses and techs though and I will recognize them.

Unfortunately, I am really disappointed in the car...

Unfortunately, I am really disappointed in the care for my 23 month old granddaughter. After treating her at home with Tylenol for a day and a half, her fever reached 104 degrees and because she was in such discomfort with the fever and vomiting we decided to take her to the ER at Primary Childrens. On Saturday night (12/28/19) around 7pm we arrived at Primary's because it is suppose to be the best for our children in the valley. Our wait was not long but neither was our stay. We were in and out of the ER within 20-25 minutes. I'm assuming the first to see my granddaughter was a PA, she didn't say she was a PA but she did ask why we came in. We explained to her the symptoms and our concern for her high fever. The "PA" explained that a high fever of concern would be 106 to 107.... really ?? Are we to wait for the baby to have a seizure first? They did the routine vital signs but no tests at all and just the offer of a prescription for tylenol. The PA thought it was a virus and there was nothing they could give her more. She then explained that the doctor would stop by to see us and then we would be released. He did stop by and talked to us about spreading viruses and explained that it could last up to 5 days. Mind you, we explained that she did not have any other symptoms (no runny nose, no cough) just the high fever that was not going away and vomiting. We left a little confused because we felt like they told us we brought her in for no reason. At home we continued to give her Tylenol and ibuprofen to combat the fever which continued on through Sunday. Monday my daughter made an appointment to see her daughters pediatrician, come to find out she has a UTI. My granddaughter needs antibiotics for a UTI, something the ER doctors at Primary did not bother to find out two days earlier. In fact, the whole visit from admission to discharge at Primary's each person in contact with my grandbaby called her "him" or "he"...assuming she was a boy. No one checked her chart but just assumed this baby in red pajamas and curly hair is a boy. Maybe that played a part in NOT checking for a UTI. I don't know, I just don't think they cared. Unfortunately, at the pain of our little one we now know better. No one's baby should suffer longer then necessary. Please be more thorough.

Great Doctors, sweet as can be, but beware of bill...

Great Doctors, sweet as can be, but beware of billing! It is so strange to me that in 23 years of being in the military that this is the only billing issue we have ever had to deal with. It is strange to me that all the other visits and specialists were paid. We were referred to this hospital for Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology and Pulmonary. We are in the military and are about to retire after 23 years of service. We have been so many places and have NEVER had trouble with billing, and our insurance has always taken care of our bills. In the military with the type insurance we have, we have never been able to get into a specialty office without a referral. After a primary care visit, my daughter s doctor referred us to the four I mentioned, and we had to wait a while until the authorization went through. Upon getting an appointment, I took my daughter to the Gastroenterologist. We showed up an hour in a half early and I walked up to the receptionist signed in. She took my military id for the insurance, and she said I have everything I need, authorization, the referring doctor, id . We talked to the doctor and they planned an Endoscopy, and it was set up for the Monday after Thanksgiving. They also had to wait to get authorization approved from Tricare for this procedure. Everything was paid! But weeks later we get a bill stating that we owed $172.00 for the initial office visit. We called Tricare to find out why we were being billed for an appointment that should have been paid and they said that a referral had never been put in for the initial visit. They said that we are supposed to make an appointment then call our primary care back so that they can put in the referral . As military members, we have never been able to do that. Tricare always needs a referral from primary care manager before we can see a specialist. Everything else was covered, the procedure, etc, knowing that, we as military members, having the same insurance, for 23 years, dealing with the same insurance all over the world, in countries that don t even speak English, could never just make our own appointments with a specialist. After talking to several people, (whom by the way ALL have different stories on how they run business) I figured out that I was getting nowhere fast. I called immediately and talked to (leaving out names and times for a reason) someone in billing. Who, two weeks later called me back and told me that I had some leg work to do That I had to start over with my primary care manager and take it from there. We did everything they said and still mysteriously no authorization number. Again everything else was paid for, but the initial office visit. I called numerous times and again called my primary care manager and they said to hang tight that it was being looked into. Thank goodness I kept all my voice mails. Since Tricare will not back pay a bill, that we could go another route. Like I said it is not the 172.00, it is the principal. The issue is, it is NOT our mistake and we are getting charged for their oversight. Today we get a letter in the mail from the ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE, stating that they are going to place a lien on our tax refund for the next EIGHT years, if the bill is not paid. After 23 years of service to this country, and just before retiring they are going to threaten us and ruin our credit over THEIR mistake. As a military spouse, I have never written a bad thing in my life about anybody, but you better have a paper trail with these people before and after you go to any appointment, or their mistake will be your mistake.

My son was born with a bi-lateral cleft lip and palate. The cranio-facial team has been amazing with my son. His lip has come together so well that you can hardly notice the scars. He has a beautiful smile now. The therapists, nurses, and other volunteers have been so friendly and helpful in getting us whatever we need while we are in recovery at the hospital.

Our family has been to PCMC many times over the la...

Our family has been to PCMC many times over the last four years for multiple specialties. I am very conflicted as to what rating to give because some departments are run well while others are extremely unorganized. I chose a one star rating because depending on what specialty your child needs, you may or may not get high blood pressure from the stress of dealing with reps who have no idea what they are doing and will cause endless problems with scheduling appointments and tests. Oh, and if your child's need is urgent, even high priority can leave you waiting months for anything, depending what specialty you're looking at. If you're okay with leaving your child in pain for months then not getting treatment, come here.
The ER has always been very quick to see both of our children and thorough. We have always appreciated the ER doctors taking time to answer all of our questions and make sure we are comfortable going home with everything from stomach flu symptoms to what to watch for after a seizure. The outpatient labs have always been amazing with drawing blood from a newborn or toddler. The one visit we have had to the Cardiology department left both my spouse and I impressed. This department seems to be run very well. Dermatology seems to be run with precision as well.
I wish all the departments were run as well as cardiology and dermatology. We have had multiple appointments with gastroenterology and neurology for one child. The neurology receptionists were so overwhelmed by scheduling tests, checking patients in for appointments and scheduling follow up appointments that nothing was done correctly. The neurologist was extremely knowledgeable, kind, patient and explained our options very well. Although the physician was great, dealing with his office was a nightmare. This was extremely stressful in addition to the actual medical condition we were there to treat.
In gastroenterology, I have seen many changes through the last three years as the clinic has moved from inside the hospital to the outpatient clinic. The wait time has remained consistent at about three months for new or established patients. This is unacceptable. The number parents call to schedule an appointment is a call center off campus. I feel this removes any responsibility from the reps who deal with parents of chronically ill children. This system has caused endless frustration for my family as we have had to deal with endless incompetence from the call center reps. On my last appointment, after waiting months to be seen while my child was in pain and losing weight, we arrived to find somehow we had been rescheduled and instead of being ten minutes early, we were hours late. No doctor in the GI practice could see us and we were told to reschedule and wait an additional two months. After telling the receptionist I was about to walk out and take our business elsewhere after all of the incompetence, lack of urgency, apathy and lack of medical treatment, she talked repeatedly with the physicians and we were seen. I had hope our daughter would finally get the medical treatment needed only to find physicians pointing fingers at each other, again, as no one knows what is wrong or what to do. Meanwhile, we are left with a child with chronic GI issues and other chronic health issues that we feel we do most of the treatment for.
For years now I have attempted to seek medical treatment here locally for my child while getting told no treatment is available for most of her medical diagnoses and feeling left on our own trying to manage her care. We are now going to go out of state for her medical care to medical professionals who will at least try treatment for her complex diagnoses.

My baby had broken his arm and the dr at we care got me all worried about my sons arm telling me I need to go to primary children's and that they are waiting for me. We had gotten an X-ray from we care of my 9 month old baby's arm and we know it's broken, I got to the ER at primary still worried about my sons arm, it was a really long wait and its midnight. Finally they had told me I was there because of child abuse case. After hours of waiting, talking to social workers and X-rays they FINALLY fix my poor baby's arm and gave him Motrin. It's 3am when we leave. In NO way did they put my baby first. When the Drs and ER already knew my baby had a broken arm NO ONE thought of the pain my baby was in until the very end of everything they decided at the end to give him Motrin.

I had a family member take her son who had a broken femur to your emergency room. The family was not treated well at all. Not every broken bone on children is due to abuse. Take heart and do not pass judgment. You have extended degrees in your fields, that is why you are working at this hospital. Do not look down at us because we do not have the knowledge you do. If we fed a child before bringing them in, we're sorry! We were not planning on surgery either. Our family has donated to your hospital AND we have made 2 trees at the Festival of Trees. No longer will our family be participating due to your mistreatment of our family, AND your staff ASSUMING the worst case scenario.

Brought our son here tonight for a facial laceration he ended up need stitches. I felt like the resident was great at explaining things in detail and she spoke to her colleagues asking for their opinion on the best way to handle the cut. The nurse and person who came in to blow bubbles and sings songs was helpful during his procedure. I appreciated both the supervising physicians to come and check his sutures and answer any questions we had. Great people we sincerely appreciate it.

I think this hospital is okay I grew up at this hospital basically from I was only 1 day old until I was almost 19 years old but the reason why I only give it 3 stars cause I remember going there with my friend and her son. We waited for along time it stuck like puke in the waiting room and when I was little they did some blood work they had to take everyone in my family's blood and they had go poke my sister twice cause they used the wrong size of needle and so it brused my sisters arm for days.
I think they should clean up that hospital

To be honest, when we first found out that our 4 year old daughter had Chiari 1.5 and would need surgery, I looked up Dr. Brockmeyer and I wasn t impressed with the reviews I saw, so I actually made other appointments around the country-including New York and Boston. I wasn t about to have someone who was mediocre, so brain surgery on my daughter, however, we happened to speak to 3 different people who had dealt with him personally and they could not say enough good things about him. My husband and I decided to at least meet with him and see how we felt. I put so much prayer and fasting into this that when we finally met him, I felt peace. He was so kind, so sharp, so knowledgeable, and so confident (just like you would want someone who was cutting into your baby s head to be) that we felt so good about him. I had written out 17 questions, all of which he answered so well-I had so much trust and confidence in him from that first encounter. We scheduled the surgery date and even moments before they wheeled her off to surgery, he came down to speak with us and we had a last minute question about the patch he was using and we even asked him if he would consider a different technique. He was kind, patient, and explained so eloquently that he had done hundreds of these procedures and that he was skilled in doing either method, but that he felt the current way he was doing it had a greater success rate, but he would go with whatever method we preferred.
After the surgery, he came to tell us that everything went so smoothly and that he was also able to drain a cyst she had had in the back of her brain as well and just opened everything up for her. I just hugged him and thanked him for taking such good care of our precious daughter.
She was in the hospital for 4 says after the surgery and he came in every single morning to check on her and sent his resident to check on her a few times throughout the day as well. My daughter was one of the unlucky ones who ended up getting chemical meningitis, so he got her on steroids right away and it cleared it right up and now she s home and doing so well.
Dr. Brockmeyer was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about him. The incision he did was tiny (3 inches) and perfect as well. I m so grateful we went to him and used him as our daughter s surgeon.

It's now 11/01/19 and one of your doctor's named Chuck informed me on 10/27/19 that one of the administration staff would get in touch with me about my concerns. How can a hospital possibly make decisions for an infant without informing a parent? They encourage you to go home, write number all over the hospital walls for up-to-date notifications and they still make decisions for you that are life changing... not only for you, but your child also! I'm still waiting for my call because at this time I have no hope for this hospital and all of it's sub-par staff. Take about a business model that is more worried about meeting a bottom line than actually taking care of people.

This place is typically pretty thorough and good. Wait times are always completely ridiculous. We were told we would be discharged at 10:45 PM and were not given discharge papers until 3 AM! I am also extremely upset with one "doctor". I believe Wills or Wells was her name, but she was a joke. I brought my newborn in because she was having seizures. She told me it was acid reflux and didn't want to see a video I had. When I showed her she said she didn't see anything, but she didn't even look. My baby also had really bad thrush diagnosed by a real doctor a week prior. This doctor told me she didn't have it and I said yes it's all over her mouth and she just said "Well it's just a little". Thank heavens we got to see another doctor. I showed her the video and she called the neurologist right away to schedule an eeg. We also had blood tests done and my daughter had high calcium that needs to be monitored. So in the end I was okay with the result, but I can't believe we almost got brushed off with a problem like that. Some of the doctors really need to take their job more seriously. And the communication is quite ridiculous too. Primarys really needs to work on communication so that people aren't spending 7 hours here with only 15 minutes of that being any interaction with doctors, nurses, etc. And please make sure that doctors are taking people seriously!!

Love the staff but customer service has changed dramatically. I have to call every day to follow up on basic requests like prescriptions, appointments, etc. Every call comes with a 15-30 min wait to speak to people who seem like customer service reps not medical professionals. Since when did Primary's turn into a corporate penny pincher instead of a hospital?

Such an amazing environment and the staff is amazing so kind and caring. And always ready to go above and beyond for the littles they care for..

1 negative is-- I took my kiddo in for a same day procedure and of course it is nothing to eat or drink for hours prior to getting there, they put you in these rooms with a glass wall looking out you see nurse station. Thats great but they stand there infront of counter eating and drinking. So your 5yr old child is crying they are hungry and thirsty. not cool at all.. it would be nice if they kept it behind the counter where kids are not able to eye it the entire 2 hrs they are waiting.
I don't expect them to not have it as some one who is in the medical field I understand it's needed but please keep it out of the child's eye view !!

A few weeks ago we unfortunately had to take our son to Primary Children's Hospital. We didn't want to go to our local ER because of bad services we had experience there before. We decided to make the drive to Primary Children's and man was it worth it. The second we walked in we were welcomed and checked in. It had been a rough night and I was an absolute emotional mess because my son had had a fever over 104 for a few hours. He was acting odd and I was just so worried. The nurses and receptionists were the absolute best to work with. I told the receptionist what had been happening with him and she was just so sweet and made me feel so much better. This is our only child so we are just learning as we go and we weren't sure if his symptoms were even severe enough to go to the hospital. But the receptionist, nurse and doctor reassured us that we were doing the right thing. Something that is so appreciated!!
We waiting probably 3 minutes to be taken back. Then probably 5 minutes to be seen by the doctor. It was the best!! They were so attentive and kept making sure we were okay. The doctor was amazing!!! I cannot remember his name but he was one of the best doctors I've worked with! I even joked about changing peditricians so we could be seen by him instead of my local pediatrician! He was so informative about what my son had. He was patient with all of our questions and never made us feel dumb for all the questions we asked.
I hope I don't have to go back to an ER soon but if I do have to I'll definitely be making the drive up there because it's so worth it! Best customer service!

So My Son Has Always been a very mucusy Baby But Just Because Im A New Mom And Freak Out But Ive Took My Son To The Er twice Before And I Was Just Left In The Room For Hours Before Anyone Talked To Me And Then They Like Rushed me Out With A Diagnoses Without Even Really Looking at my Son Now My Son Is In The ICU with Rsv While Ive Been Here I Have Found that The Times Before He Came Back Positive For Rhino Virus Which I Have Been Told Isnt Back I Was Not Informed That Also While I Have Been Here I Had One nurse for 3 nights in a row each night was traumatizing she man handled my 4 almost 5 month old ripped his iv out got blood every where and put a dirty diaper on it because she didnt have bandaids then the 3rd night she was doing all the above but also smacked my sons head against his swing and wasnt even apologetic about it. I lost it had to walk around to control my anger couldnt breathe shaking i had 3 nurses in here (she decided to take lunch when she saw i was mad.) telling me to calm down i finally talked to the charge nurse. Mind you i had complained yo everyone about this nurse from day one i said i didnt want her told them how she made me feel i was told they are understaffed and she had tge certifications to take care of my sons machine. So of course i tried to let it go but on the 3rd night i really lost it . i proceeded to tell the charge nurse she then told me she had no report of it or else she would have taken action. This situation was only 2 nights ago but i give them 3 stars because ever since then they have been really concerned and compasionate and they pay really close attention to my son And they made sure i never have that nurse again and that they would take care of it i dont give them more stars because it took me finally having enough and a really traumatic experience for them to do that. (Nurses name is Shannon)

My son had a very invasive procedure at PCMC. At the conclusion of his procedure, he was admitted to the PICU. I felt very unsafe with the care that was delivered in that unit. My son wasn't properly cared for. He was given expired formula amongst many other issues.
After he was stable and transferred to the infant unit, the care delivered was fabulous.
It is unfortunate that you can't count on those who are supposed to be trained to deliver care to the most ill patients.
