2017 Update. So after having driven a great car for 5 years with nary a problem.... (see Buick enclave review from 2012 below) for about 100k miles, I looked around, then came back to Prestman auto for another great vehicle purchase. I worked with 4 different sales guys and they were all very, very nice, helpful, and friendly. They found me a beautiful (like new) 2016 Toyota Highlander at a price that made me feel like I practically stole it from them. What a great business model! If you want to be smart with your money in your vehicle purchases, GO TO PRESTMAN AUTO...where the smart money shops.

2012 review: I've had my fabulous Buick Enclave for about a month now. Before writing this review, I wanted to wait enough time (over a month) for thoughtful evaluation about how I felt about my auto-buying experience, and the vehicle itself. I absolutely LOVE the car, but I was also very impressed with Prestman Auto. When I responded to the ad for the vehicle, I was very courteously shown its history, and how it was returned to "LIKE-NEW" status at a fabulous price with only 15,000 miles on the vehicle. Prestman Auto splashes the advertising motto on their Pre-Sale license plates: "I practically stole this car from Prestman Auto.." That's really kind of how I felt. They found me exactly the car I wanted at the price I wanted. They also gave me a fair trade for my "Trade-in" and detailed up the car beautifully, all in a timely fashion before I happily drove the car off of the lot. I also noticed that all of the cars they have are on their lot look like cars that I would WANT to drive! So, I'll be directing members of my family to check out Prestman Auto closely when it's time for them to buy a new car.

Prestman was super helpful and reliable! Nate helped me out and was very honest, super nice, and respectful of my price range. I definitely will be back and will refer anyone in need of a good car here!

My son, Tim, found Prestman on the internet searching for a car for himself. We live in Colorado, but had the occasion to be in Salt Lake City for a couple of days...one of our stops was Prestman Auto. We couldn't believe the prices for the value! It was too good to be true. They explained the branded title business to us, which made perfect sense, leaving us feeling comfortable with the whole idea. It turns out that cosmetic damage is what had happened to the car that we would end up with. It was repaired and looked great. There was complete disclosure including a car fax report that left us feeling comfortable. After a liberal test drive, as long as we wanted on a couple of vehicles, we found the right one and made a good deal....It's pretty easy, and as Dave says, they really aren't like any other dealer...never any over stating or promises that weren't kept. What a great experience, not to mention the selection of cars. We'll be back!! Thanks Fellas!!

The vehicle we bought from Prestman Auto has had problems since we brought it home. Definitely overpaid. What we were told we were buying and what we got are 2 very different things. I've bought salvaged vehicles from other vendors for a decade now and never had an issue, but this experience has given me a sour taste in my mouth. Wont be buying rebuilt titles going forward. At least not from these guys.

I found a car online that I was interested in, and called for info. I talked to Chris and the only thing he was honest about was that they sell salvage and rebuilt titled cars.

He told me the damage to the car i looked at was "front end, nothing past the radiator, no airbags deployed". He lied.

I googled the VIN number and the auction for this car came up. The entire front going back to the engine block was destroyed, the left side was damaged including both left side axles, and all the left side airbags had deployed.

When I called and told him I found the auction, he said "Good! Now you know what the damage was" as if he'd been straight up about it in the first place.

I suggest avoiding this place like the plague.

Didnt know they were rebuilt but Mario was incredibly honest and open about all the damage and info. And it drove like a new car! Thank you guys so much saving me money!

We just bought an SUV from Trevor Durfey at Prestman and couldn't be happier with the process. After been given the classic runaround from slick used car salesmen over the last week of searching, the experience at Prestman was a sigh of relief. Trevor never pressured us and really just seemed like an "advisor" who offered up his honest opinion of the cars, their history and his personal thoughts on it. I hadn't really thought of buying a branded title vehicle when starting the car search, but the great prices and awesome customer service we received from Trevor and Prestman really made this a no brainer!

Great experiance Scott Young answered all my questions. Took serveral days and many differant test drives before I could choose which vehical would best fit our needs. Credit Manager was great, and will recommed them to anyone looking to buy a great car at a great price.

Bought a Ford Escape here in January. The front end damage to the car was minimal and the body repair work looked like it was put together properly. It was blue star inspected but because of the cold weather the air conditioner couldn t be checked although the compressor clutch did engage so we thought it would be ok. Well 5 months later when the heat came on found that the air conditioning system wasn t hooked up properly in the rebuild resulting in complete system failure. Their blue star inspection is meaningless. Their service department said they were 30 days out to check it. That wasn t an option with temperatures reaching triple digits. I thought this dealership had a good reputation but I would never buy another car here and I could not recommend them to anyone.

We stopped in to look at a car and had a very positive, low pressure experience. When I am ready to buy, I will definitely buy from Christopher Sanchez!

We came clear from IL to buy our car here in Utah. I would highly recommend checking Prestman out..great service and wonderful people. Everyone from the service department to sales goes above and beyond. Jeremy knew the ins and outs of our vehicle like we bought it brand new from a Chevy store. Great experience!

Part of our contract was to have a check engine issue fixed on the car. After over a month and at least four full days of leaving the car to get diagnosed and repaired, the issue is still not resolved. Communication has been lackluster at best and quickly degrading as they don't seem to want to bother with our car anymore. Phone calls and messages go unanswered. Appointments are delayed or pushed back. Parts go days unordered or unshipped. They seem happy to take your money up front but the service seems to stop there. At this point it is costing us much more than just the lost work for appointments and time in travel and going without a car.
Steer clear of this place.

Had such an awesome experience. Jared was upfront and helpful throughout. When it came time to finance, Jack broke everything down for us. Probably the best car buying experience I ve ever had. I d recommend these guys to anyone.

Can not say enough good things about Prestman Auto. Being a first time buyer, I was a bit hesitant buying from a dealership, but the staff could not have been more helpful. I was buying from out of state and Matt was up front about everything about the vehicle I was interested in and answered every question I had. Even took it a personal test drive to make sure things sounded and felt as they should. The rest of the staff I worked with, Nate and Tracy, were also very helpful and made me feel very comfortable buying a vehicle from them. I will be recommending Prestman Auto to anyone and everyone searching for a new vehicle.

Very dishonest and illegal practices. We were lied to about the actual milage of the car we bought. They falsified Carfax documents to show a 110,000 mile difference! We just traded in the Suburban we bought at Prestman. We knew the trade-in cost would be lower due to the rebuilt/salvage title. We were stunned to learn there was so much more Prestman didn t tell us. When we bought the Suburban, Prestman gave us a Carfax printout of the Suburban s history. It was pretty clean and showed our car with the original wreck and very low miles. The Carfax report we saw when trying to trade it in was very different. The Suburban had two different notations with milage at 123,000 and 136,000 miles. After Prestman bought it, the milage dropped to 18,000! We were told the vehicle had 23,000 original miles when we bought it. Makes sense why we had to replace the transmission after a couple years and why the seat motors, door handles, power steering, manifold and many other things needed to be replaced after we bought it. Not to mention the paint chipping badly on both the rear and front bumpers as well as the hood. We will be calling The Better Business Bureau. I believe these practices are illegal.

Prestman Auto is extremely lucky to have Tracy Ball as an employee. He was fast, efficient, made me smile, and most of all he helped me get a great deal on my dream car. I will be recommending Prestman Auto to all of my friends and family. You can bet your bottom dollar, (and your top dollar to) I'm going to tell them to ask for Tracy!!!

Just bought my dream truck from Tracy Ball. The entire process was so easy. We came in and told them what we were looking for, he got us the keys and we took off on our own to test drive it and give it the once over. When we came back we had the financing and paperwork taken care of without any pressure or haggling. They gave us a great price on our trade in too.
They detailed the truck for us before we left and now I have a spotless used vehicle that looks like new for half the price!

Initially thought we were meeting a different salesman. We were directed to Matt instead. He was very attentive and friendly. The first thing he did was explain what Prestman Auto was about. We were not aware they had Branded titled vehicles.. I really appreciated his honesty and being up front with us. Matt showed us the background information on the vehicle we were interested in helping to put any concerns we had to rest. We purchased a great car at a good price. I would repeat buisness with Prestman Auto, specifically with Matt.

I enjoyed Carlos and Debbie. They worked creatively with my financially back ground to get me the greatest interest rate and the classiest car. They truly made sure I was completely satisfied. I didn't mind waiting because I knew they were going to make sure my goal was met (budget & car choice). I promise the next time I buy another car I'm coming to them!

I was looking into getting a car from them about a year ago. I wish I would have remembered the guy s name. He was pressuring us a lot and it was a branded title. He lied to us about what a branded title means, and didn t even tell us until we were almost ready to fill out the financial paperwork. And I later found out that by law they are supposed to have it displayed on the car that it s a rebuilt title. All in all, they were not trustworthy and I caution anyone who goes there as ALL THEIR CARS ARE SALVAGE/REBUILT TITLES! Which banks do not want to finance.

Buyer beware. They tell you the cars they buy were in minor accidents like fender benders but I researched the car I was interested in and found out it was totaled in an accident with major damage. Sure glad I did my homework

We recently purchased an Audi S5 from Prestman Auto. Tracy made it really easy for us. He was willing to give us a fair value for our trade-in, and he showed us before pictures of the car we were looking to buy. He's been there for 8 years, so he seems to really know his stuff.

Here's my situation.

You had 45 days to register, inspect and provide the title to CA DMV. In 45 days DMV did not receive the necessary documents.

In turn I did all the due diligence to license and register the vehicle. I paid for all the inspections to take the car out of salvage. I signed and filled out all necessary forms and documents to register my vehicle.

Prestman failed to:

1) register the vehicle in February of 2019 or fill out CA DMV Planned Non-Operation (PNO) option.

2) Prestman failed to conduct all inspections required to clear the salvage title and provide me with a branded title within the promised timeframe.

Therefore, I should not be billed for

dealer doc fee $489
Inspection fee $192
Lic and Registration $110
CA DMV Registration from 2/2019-2/2020 $615

This is a total of $1,406

Prestman Auto is obligated to pay this amount in full in a timely manner. Prestman has charged me for services they did not provide. Should Prestman decide not to pay this amount, I will file a lawsuit for the full amount including travel+time. I will also file a complaint with FTC and BBB.

I hope we can resolve this matter outside of court. Thank you for your time and consideration. Please call me when you receive this notice. I will remove this review when we settle this matter in a fair and timely manner.

I felt very respected and not pressured at all. When the deal fell through I was still treated kindly and with respect. I would definitely recommend Prestman and will buy from them in the future.

Best experience I have ever had at a dealership, hands down. I am very busy, and have the same work hours as the dealership. Debbie Francis helped me after hours and answered all the questions I had about the Ford Explorer I was interested in. I obtained my own financing, which I always do, and this is the first time the dealership didn't try to find financing for me without my consent. Other larger dealerships I have gone to have always tried to do that, which wastes hours of my time and ruins any trust I have with them. I was able to do all of the paperwork electronically, and walk into the dealership to pick up my new Explorer. I think I spent maybe 90 minutes total in person with Debbie, and thats including the test drive. Very impressed. I've seen other reviews talk about not being helped, and having to pay other fees in addition to the price of the car: I really appreciated the fact that Prestman is a no pressure dealership. I didn't have a salesperson jumping me the second I walked in, and I was able to find someone when I was ready to ask questions, even after hours. Additional fees are a given. You will always have to pay tax, title, and registration whether you purchase from a dealership or private party. All dealerships have fees, and it is your responsibility to ask what they are before you start to look at their inventory. Prestman's fees are reasonable. I am still floored I walked away with a virtually brand new vehicle for thousands less than what I should have paid, even with the branded title. I will definitely recommend Prestman, and Debbie, to anyone in the market for a new vehicle.

This is the second vehicle I've purchased here. Phenomenal staff and service. No games like at other dealers. Would recommend to anyone who has had bad experiences elsewhere. Will come back for the next vehicle purchase.

Debbie was very courteous and knowledgeable and we appreciated her personal touch during our face-to-face conversations. She is very busy given her position in the company, but always got back to us when we emailed and phoned. This was very important in our approach to moving forward with the purchase since we had never bought a rebuilt title automobile before. Our wishes for inspection and repair of mechanical issues were taken seriously and the work that was done appeared to be very professional.

The inventory they have is amazing and the sales/finance team are like no other dealership! Debbie is professional, kind and realistic with her clients! We will return for our next vehicle purchase!!

Bobby the salesman told me the truck was barely in an accident and airbag wasn t deployed upon running the VIN which ALL prospective customers should do I see the pics of the absolute mangled truck they fixed. I mean destroyed and he then didn t have the courage to talk to me afterwards I d leave pics if I could. An absolute laughable situation and waste of time. I encourage anyone thinking of buying vehicles from them to just google the VIN and see what comes up

Travis was great to work with at a dealership that finally knows what they are doing. Great deal on a great car with no hassle and no pressure. The best car buying experience we could have hoped for.

I will not work with them again. They sold a vehicle that we were scheduled to test drive and did not let us know before we came in. We should have left then, but decided to see their other vehicle options.

We ended up purchasing a vehicle, but we had to call repeatedly for updates on it and they acted as if we were an inconvenience. The "hundred point inspection" that they seem to pride themselves on missed multiple things, including a rip in our seat belt and a cracked windshield wiper fluid container. The vehicle almost immediately needed an oil change and power steering fluid. Very unimpressed.

Also, their license plate template that say "I practically stole it from Prestman Auto" is insulting and a terrible piece of marketing material after the experience we had.

We really enjoyed our car buying experience at prestman auto. Gus was easy to work with and finance person also. Typically I do not like to deal with dealers. After I did some homework and decided on a vehicle and Prestmans auto is where it was we contacted Gus and it was easy from there. Thank you.

Absolute nightmare! We were lied to multiple times about the condition and location of the vehicle we were interested in & to be quite frank, it seemed like we couldn't even give our money away to these people. We overlooked a lot in an effort to get the car that we wanted, but at the end of the day, the quality of the car (it had been completely trashed, had double the miles than was advertised etc) just didn't cut it. Once we decided it was a no go, our salesman Bill began shouting at us to the point where we just got into our vehicle to leave. Needless to say, we will not be back & i would recommend to anyone looking at this place to do your research!

Get the price quote on each vehicle in writing before you test drive any car.

This post is a warning. I have bought three cars from these guys. The first one I got in an accident and it was totaled. So I went back and got a second. I thought I had found the holy Grail for getting cheaper nice cars. I even went and got my wife a car when we got married. The dealership is very nice and the people are very nice, but they don't tell you that you're making a very very bad financial decision. You save a few thousand by buying a rebuilt title, this is true. You also lose HALF the value of the car as soon as you buy it. They have special relationships with Banks to get more financing on a rebuilt title than you possibly could as a consumer. I found this out when the car I bought for my wife wasn t big enough to fit a baby seat in the back, and we went to try and sell her car. Did you know that banks will look up the NAD a value of your car and then half it 50% because it has a rebuilt title? That means that anybody that tries to buy it or trade it into a dealership they will literally give you half of the value. So I bought a $20,000 car that was 3000 less than what I could have got a clean title and when I drove it off the lot the value dropped to 10,000 Instantly. Even press mean almost gave me half of the value of my car after I had bought it from them. They used the rebuilt title as a reasoning for it being less value, but they did not say anything about that when they were selling it to me. So I took a monster hit on the second car I bought and the third car I can t even give away at this point. I would highly advise everybody to not buy a rebuilt title no matter how well it was rebuilt. You literally are throwing half of the value of your car away as soon as you drive it off the lot. In the long run it ends up being more money by a decent amount.

Brad was exceptional, patient and went above and beyond while I was making my decision and purchase. I can nitpick, but there was no detail that Brad or the folks at Prestman weren't willing to accommodate. I highly recommend them.

I've purchased two cars from them now: 2008 Honda Fit and 2010 Honda Odyssey. There were great at answering all my questions and they had the best deal in town. I've had the Fit for 4 years now without any problems and the Odyssey for a few months and they are both awesome. I live in AZ and haven't had any problems buying them from out of state and driving them home and registering here.

Great car buying experience! Myself and Jared was low pressure and easy to deal with. He answered all my questions easily and with actual answers. My first car buying experience was with Larry H Miller and it was nothing compared to the experience I had with Alec, and Tracy from Prestman Auto. I got out of a car I despised for a car that I fantasized. It was a very seamless, easy process and felt as if I was buying a car from family. I don't think I could have made a better decision going with Prestman Auto. I Don't want to forget to mention the amazing maintenance garage that has been put in place. And how I feel confident in what they can provide for me to maintain my car for long lasting relationship. Bought our second car here last month. Worked with Dan who was great to deal with. Identified the car and it was ready for a test drive when we arrived. Worked out a future date to pick up the car when I was back in town. Will definitely return when we need another vehicle.

Alex was our sales gal. We have been buying cars from tracy for years. But he moved to finance and promised Alex would take care of us. And she was awesome. I was, at first, dissapointed that we didn't get to work with Tracy because he is so sexy but Alex is even cuter. She knows her stuff. She isn't pushy. She dealt with my wives million questions and her constant indeciveness. She let us take our time. Came in on her day off and stayed until 11pm helping us finish our 3 cars. Sorry Tracy, although you will always hold a special place In my heart, Alex is cuter!!

We did not purchase a vehicle today from Prestman Auto, however we had a great experience. We were inquiring about a used vehicle and we were working with Carlos. He was prompt at contacting us following an email. He was very honest when I asked about any damage on vehicle. He promptly and honestly provided the car fax report and texted us pictures of any small scratches or damage to vehicle of interest. I think that this should be recognized by the company and the community. We would have been traveling many miles to purchase this car, so we appreciated the honestly regarding this vehicle. This place is great! Their staff are friendly and helpful and their cars are immaculately clean and tuned up. They seem to have fun at their jobs and focus on customer satisfaction. I plan on calling these guys up every time I m searching to buy a car!

Tracy at Prestman Auto was excellent, This is the 2nd car i have bought there and have had an excellent experience both times.

Careful for the extended warranty sale pitch! They tried to sell me on this even though the car I had purchased was still under factory warranty! Good price on the vehicle but lost points with the sales pitch for something I didn't need.
