I purchased a 2011 Nissa Rogue from Chris Warner just over a week ago. Two days after purchasing the vehicle, the AC started making an AWFUL grinding noise. So loud that I can't drown it out with music. I called Chris four separate times over the course of three days. The fourth call, I waited to speak with Chris because it was pretty obvious at this point that he wasn't going to call me back. As you can imagine, my patience was wearing a bit thin. Chris told me he would speak to his manager to "see what they could do". Mind you, I purchased a 5 year/100K mileage warranty on this vehicle. Joe, the financial manager then answered my call. To which he told me, I would have to call the service department on Monday to "see if there was anything they can do". I will be going in on Monday, and they will repair this free of charge. Afterwards, I hope to never have to do business with this company again.
Purchased a stolen but relatively new Acura RDX from them. the car was great the experience with them good during the whole purchase process. I did save money but I did not understand that because it was a stolen vehicle it had a branded title and therefore was given less money when I traded it in on a new vehicle.

We were cautious about buying a salvage title vehicle but they said that if there was a problem with the vehicle they would take care of it and they did. The repair was estimated at 900.00 and they did the repair at no charge. Very grateful.

I had a few hesitations about purchasing a branded title vehicle but I knew if I was going to do it, that buying one from Prestman Auto was the best choice. I was not disappointed. Melissa was so amazing to work with. It was like buying a car from a friend, not a sales person. She was warm, friendly, had a great sense of humor and was incredibly helpful considering we asked to look at three or four vehicles before we decided. After I purchased the vehicle, I had to work with Alec in their service department quite a bit to replace some random odds and ends here and there and he is equally as great to work with as Melissa. He's extremely knowledgeable, patient and always available to answer questions if you have them. They really helped me out in getting the few things I was unhappy with resolved and my car runs like a dream.
Even after we've long passed signing the paperwork, I can still stay that my satisfaction with them continues to go on up. I've received a free oil change just as a thank you for buying from them and I've been talking to one of their finance managers on purchasing third party warranty (which I'd highly recommend if you have any doubts about branded titles or any car repairs at all) and he is just as friendly and helpful as Melissa and Alec.
I have no bad things to say about Prestman and if you're in the market for a car, branded title or not, I would definitely recommend them!!

We had a great experience today at Prestman Auto. There was no pressure to look or purchase - which is quite unusual for an auto dealership. We browsed without anyone coming to "bother" us while looking. We spent quite a bit of time going through each item on the car and when we were prepared to take the next step, they allowed us to come to them. They were helpful, thorough, and accommodating. We'd recommend them and would purchase from them again. They had a great selection and very reasonably priced.

When buying a branded car I would like to know what kind of warranty can be purchased along with it.
For some reason, the sales manager would not give us any warranty info or pricing until he had our credit application and a non-refundable deposit, which was a deal breaker for me. We drove 5 min down the street and bought a brand new car instead.

We stopped by Prestman Auto while in SLC for a short get away with our kids. I have had two different family members purchase their vehicles through Prestman and have had good experiences. We knew we wanted to upgrade our Honda Pilot this year sometime and wanted to start looking. We ended up finding a Pilot that was six years newer than the one we currently owned and liked it a lot. Of course newer is better and at a price about $10,000 off retail (branded title) it was kind of a no brainer in my opinion. Of course, time will tell if the money we saved will be worth it but I have a good feeling about the vehicle we purchased. I am a no nonsense buyer and dont like to looking for things like this for weeks or months on end. My time is valuable and Tracy was the type of businessman I like to do business with. He didn't pressure sale me and was respectful of what my wants were during the transaction. I cant say right now if I will buy another branded title vehicle but I can say that the drive home to Idaho was much more enjoyable in the newer Honda Pilot we purchased from Tracy at Prestman.
These guys are HORRIBLE. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Shadiest car dealer I've ever experienced. Waited on hold for someone to answer 3 times for a total of around 30 minutes, left messages but never had a call returned, never had an apology from the secretary for having to call back, finally got through and the vehicle had sold BUT... found out the vehicle was a repaired vehicle!!! Look in their listings for "branded" title which means it DOES NOT HAVE A CLEAR TITLE. They hide this information and don't call it out except by "branded" title. BUYER BEWARE!!! Best-rated car company in Utah?? There must be some SUPER shady dealerships in Utah if THIS is the best...

Worst car buying experience I have ever had. I contacted the dealer and they were pretty prompt about contacting me but when I go to the dealership the salesman I was working with said he would follow up on Monday and didn't follow up til Tuesday afternoon. I started working with a Manager after that who was unwilling to make a deal with me even though they screwed up and didn't follow through. I recommend going to a different dealer these guys will only jerk you around and waste your time.

It was good when we first went to look at some vehicles and found a few we liked and no pressure.
It was a Mazdaspeed3 and ran GREAT except 2nd gear would pop out. We brought that to the attention of SaleamanChris and said service would look at it (before purchase).We spoke with the service manager and he said it was fine.
A few month after purchasing the car Mazda Dealership looked at the vehicle and said it needs a new transmission since 2nd gear went out.
We went back to Prestman and they were supposed to fix it BEFORE we purchased it. After back and forth fighting for a week they finally agreed to replace the transmission at no cost since we purchased a service contract. However it took 1 week to do the repair, we were without a car for 1 week!!! Debbie, Travis and everyone in service told us they do not offer loaner vehicles in the meantime (although their mistake).
Anyways we ended up leaving to AutoZone and get the parts needed and tools to fix it and finally were on our way home! After WE fixed it.
Soooo no they will NEVER get our business again. No one there was helpful after a problem arose.
Buying a car has always been a very tiring and tedious process in the past. I was expecting more of the same when I visited Prestman Auto. The car buying process at Prestman was a breath of fresh air. Alec Flitton was knowledgeable, very accommodating and I never felt pressure from him at all. When I had concerns or problems Alec would get them answered quickly and efficiently. I would recommend Prestman Auto if you are planning on purchasing a vehicle.

The sales department is phenomenal, no issues at all. I was able to purchase electronically and pick up from out of state. However, the department that handles the title work needs a lot of improvement. My temp tag expired on 05/18. I called our local DMV on the expiration date and was told that they did not have the title work from the dealership. I call the dealership and I'm advised that they just got the paperwork in and would be sending it to my DMV right away. In the meantime I would be overnight mailed a new temp tag. I wait two days for said overnight package but get nothing. I call the dealership back and this time I'm told that the title work was overnight mailed to my DMV but they didn't send the temp sticker as promised. I expressed my frustration, to which I was cold transferred to the head clerk's voicemail. I left a message, never getting a call back. Today (06/09) I call my DMV and find out that they did receive the paperwork from the dealership, but sent it back on 05/26 for being incomplete. I also find out that I'm allowed to trade in my expired out of state temp tag for an in state 40 day tag that I would be required to purchase. By this point I'm extremely frustrated. I have a car that I have been unable to drive for 3 weeks due to expired tags and will continue to be unable to drive unless 1) the DMV receives the paperwork from the dealership or 2) I pay for a new temp tag out of my pocket. None of this seems right to me as I have done nothing wrong, but yet I either can't drive or I have to pay an additional expense. I once again call the dealership and I find out that they have had the paperwork but have not processed it or sent it back to the DMV. I explain that I've been unable to drive the car that I purchased for 3 weeks due to an expired temp sticker and the title work not being complete. At this point I get told that they are "going to work on the title work" and my temp tag is still valid due to COVID. I explain that I was just on the phone with the DMV and in order to get an extension on my temp tag, I would be required to purchase an in state temp tag. I again ask for a new temp tag to be overnight mailed to me along with the tracking number being provided via email or text. I honestly have no faith that I will receive either one of these at this point as it does not appear that the clerks care about taking care of customers.
We flew in from Green Bay WI to buy a 2016 Honda CRV that had been in a collision. Purchasing a rebuilt car was a new experience for us. Full of fake 5 star reviews. The double standard these guys have is comical. I had a branded title car I purchased from Autosource before and was curious to find out the trade in value. They said it will be 60-65% of trade in value for the same car with a clean title. Ok that's fine..but you better be sticking to that same rule on the junk you are selling to people. What you will find though is that they are asking 90% plus of clean retail on their garbage so beware. They will talk up their garbage and talk down any trade in you have. Just save yourself the hassle and buy a clean title vehicle to begin with.

I took the whole family to Prestman Auto, we had a enjoyable experience. We first met Chase Billings (Great guy!) who sold us the 2014 Chevy Traverse! He had the vehicle ready and waiting when we arrived and took great care of us during the whole process which didn't take a great deal of time. (The kids love it by the way, they're thrilled it has sunroof;) Then we met with Tracy Ball who wrapped up our loan. We purchaced the Vehicle Warranty and GAP Insurance Preston Auto offered us for peace of mind. They're all great people who work there, good atmosphere. We ended up financing our new vehicle with Chris Smedley at Utah First Federal Credit Union (highly recommend), who is another great person to work with! We got a great interest rate! All in all two thumbs up!

Never bought a car from a "used car dealer" before -- live and learn. Beware, this is truly a "used car dealer". Be prepared to waste time, buy at your own risk. I still bought the car, but will never consider this dealer again, and probably will never consider any used car dealer again.
We stopped at prestman to look at a car we seen online and it didn't work for us but dan took time and showed us every car on his lot we wanted to see and we found a Durango we loved. Dan was awsome to work with to find the perfect car for my family and the financing was really easy. Thank you dan we will come back when we need another car.

I recently bought my car here. Trevor Durfey helped my mom and I through the whole process. We had a lot of questions and he spent practically the whole with us, answering all of our questions and helping us every step of the way. I am completely satisfied with my purchase, and they even detailed my car for me before I drove it off the lot. They have been super helpful answering any questions I have had about my car since the purchase, fixed something for me for free, and even called a few weeks after the purchase to follow up and make sure everything was working well. This review is mostly comparing Prestman Auto to AutoSource Motors, another rebuilt title dealer in Utah. Summary; go to Prestman Auto, stay away from AutoSource.
I made the mistake of going with AutoSource when buying my wife's car because they had a similar model for a little bit less money. We've had problems ever since. After buying that car I've been back to both AutoSource and Prestman Auto to look at different cars. Now that I'm more experienced with rebuilt title cars, it's really easy to see that Prestman Auto has higher quality cars. They've been repaired better. Just walk through AutoSource's lot and look at how the front bumpers on their cars fit. You'll see that probably half of them don't fit right in the corners, because they were replaced with cheap parts. Then go to Prestman and do the same thing, you won't see the same issue. I was much more impressed with everything about Prestman Auto, everything just seemed a lot more professional. Next time I won't let a small difference in price make a decision for me. I'll be going to Prestman either way, and Prestman's prices are actually better than AutoSource's a lot of the time.
Just had an awesome experience buying an Audi Q5 at Prestman Auto! Chase was great to work with and helped me find the right car at the right price.
I nearly bought a car from them but they refused to provide me a sales contract without sitting down with them. It was a good experience initially (extra star) but was a huge turnoff when they assessed over $4,000 in extra fees in the contract. I only knew about those extra fees because my personal lender provided me the sales contract, since the dealer wouldn't provide it to me directly. Some questionable business practices.

My wife and I are value buyers who appreciate good service. What we got from Tracy Ball and Prestman Auto is high value and great service! Tracy was a pleasure to work with and answered or found the answer to every question we asked. We did our research and came back several times to ask questions and explore options. Never once did we feel pressure from Tracy or anyone at Prestman. Now that we have purchased the car, we could not be more pleased with experience and with the car! I went in to look at a 2011 BMW 328i and the experience couldn't have been more pleasant! My sales associate, Melissa, was just delightful; she was very pleasant and accommodating! The building was very clean and lovely.
As far as buying a used car from a used car dealer I rate my experience with Prestman Auto in the above average category. They disclosed the type of vehicles they sell right up front, listened to my desires for the vehicle I wanted rather than try to sell me "what's on the lot", and dealt fairly with my concerns and questions. They allowed me to take the vehicle to my mechanic for an outside opinion and the salesperson (Trevor D.) stayed after hours to get the deal done. I will try out their service department in the future and provide a separate rating for that part of the dealership.
When the car buying bug bites again (it always does) I will keep my eye on the Prestman Auto lot.
This place is amazing! We worked with Jeremy and we had the best experience we've ever had buying a car here yesterday. They didn't pressure us into anything we were uncomfortable with. They were upfront with all the information needed and there was Nik feeling like they were hiding anything. They were just kind in general and we felt good about everything by the time we left. Trevor and everyone at Prestman Auto were very easy to deal with. Straightforward process. No pressure. Very informative. But, most important was that I bought a newer, lower miles, better equipped car for far less money than I thought I would have to spend. I appreciated learning that a branded title does not mean a "totaled" car. The car I bought had actually suffered very little damage and the repairs left no sign of damage or repair. The car is like new. Yet, I bought it at about a 25% discount to KBB used car pricing. Not bad. I took the car for the afternoon to my own mechanic to check it out. Trevor encouraged me to do that. I did not care for the "add ons" (dealer transportation fee, document fee, glass etching). This added to the cost of the car. But, the initial price started so low that even with the add ons, it was still the best deal in town. I would buy from Trevor and Prestman again.

Not very impressed. Dub (the sales person) was very nice and accommodating while I was there viewing the S6 they have. Once I made credit application that is where the great service ended. I was told that I'd hear something within 30 minutes of leaving as I had to go to another appointment. I did not hear anything back for the rest of the day. I had to call and email about three times to get the follow up I expected. Being in sales I know how important follow up is to making a sale. I was told that they needed proof of income (which I could have provided) by the receptionist and then they turned around and said I was denied. I found that to be strange since University Federal CU and Audi USA had previously approved me for the loan that I needed. I just thought I'd see if they had any financing options that looked appealing as well. Nevertheless I was not impressed and do not feel inclined to do business with them now nor in the future. I would however recommend RC automotive. They are very professional and straight forward.

Unfortunately my experience with Prestman was not as good as its reviews . I made an appointment for this morning to test drive a car with Debbie. For starters I waited 15 minutes out front of the store because they had forgotten to unlock the doors. Debbie was not at her desk when I arrived so I let the front desk girl know I would be outside looking at cars. It was only a few minutes before Debbie showed up and did a two second introduction and handed me the keys to the car I was there to drive then disappeared. The car looked like 4 toddlers went on a rode trip inside . Absolutely discussing and the car was below empty, maybe they wanted me to fill the tank.? I started the car and after two seconds I simply realized they could not care about my business . I walked back inside to give her the keys and she was on the phone again . I wanted and waited and she never even looked up. Just pointed for me to sit down . The whole thing was upsetting since I was excited for a new car and had already completed all my loan application and was ready to buy the car then and there . . But Debbie couldn't be bothered. I'll take my business somewhere else.
