Brett, the financial advisor, decided to run my credit with 9 hard inquiries without my permission after I had already stated that I had been approved for a loan already. 7 MONTHS LATER THE HARD INQUIRIES ARE STILL ON MY CREDIT. He told me over and over that he would take care of this issue and that it may only take a "few weeks". He has done absolutely NOTHING to help my case at all and frankly destroyed my credit. This guy does not care about his customers at all. Thanks Brett, these 9 hard inquiries will not lift from my credit until DECEMBER 2021. Considering getting a lawyer because running credit without permission, and specifically telling him not to, is illegal. Not to mention that he has been completely non-compliant with returning any of my calls after leaving count-less (AND POLITE) voicemails. Ruthless.

We purchased 4 cars in 6 years here and never received good service. We purchased our last two cars from Betten Baker and are treated with respect there. If you are considering picking up a new or used car I would recommend heading over to Preferred Chevrolet. The staff was friendly and Robert Corbett, our salesman, was completely honest and open about the truck I was buying. The great deals that are offered by the dealership (free fluid top offs and towing back to the dealer for life) made it very worth 20 mile drive from Holland. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Their mechanics are also very skilled at what they do. They solved a problem with my 2011 Equinox (purchased new) that the dealer in Holland couldn't solve after attempting 3 times. They have earned my business for life.

Update: After I first posted, I was contacted by John, the service manager, who went out of his way to change my mind about Preferred Chevrolet. He assured me that my experience was not typical, and requested an opportunity to fix the vehicle so that I could know that first hand. I am happy that I did. After bringing the car back in, I do feel that Preferred Chevrolet is a company that stands behind their work and goes the extra mile to do right by their customers. For that reason, I have changed my rating and would go there again if my car required service.

I made a 10:15 appointment and planned to wait for my car that I purchased from them 4 months prior. Lexi told me it could take a couple of hours to diagnose and encouraged me to take the shuttle service home. I did. About 4 hours later, I got a call about the needed repairs. I gave the go ahead to reset the air conditioning and told me the cost (not covered by the certified vehicle warranty...another issue) and fix the stabilitrack issue which was covered under the warranty. I waited for about 3 hours after that and finally made a phone call to see if my car was done. I dialed Craig's direct extension which he had given me when we discussed repairs over the phone. It went to his voicemail. Thinking he may have gone home for the day (5:15 by now), I hung up and called again. The person I reached told me I had to talk to Craig in order to get information about my car, but he was on the phone at the moment. He transferred me and told me to leave a message. I did. About 50 minutes after I left my message, Craig called back and told me my car was finished and could be picked up. This was nearly 8 hours after initially dropping it off. After finding a ride back to Preferred Chevrolet, I was waited on by Peter, who took me back to get checked out by Craig. Craig was sitting in an office in the back and did not get up to help but told Peter to go take care of it. The cost ended up being almost 25% more than what I was quoted on the phone. Honestly, I would prefer to deal with straight shooters If the car was going to take 4 hours to diagnose and another 4 hours to actually fix, I would like to be told that. Make me aware of the actual cost up front. I would rather be surprised with a lower bill when I come in to pick up my car than a bill that is 25% higher than quoted over the phone. This was a disappointing experience in most respects with the exception of Peter, who checked me out when I came to get my car. He was very professional and, though I left dissatisfied with my experience, is the reason I rated my experience 2 stars and not 1.

Robert was fantastic as a Tech Rep, but the phone lines and Zach was awful. I had to call him multiple times to get a return phone call. I know you dont have a lot of people there right now, but at the same time yall are super slow right now. It shouldnt have taken me calling to get a call back. Robert was super friendly, helpful and ho est about what was going on with our car.

I recently bought a used car for my granddaughter ...

I recently bought a used car for my granddaughter and after the fact by a day or so I discovered a miscommunication between the finance officer, the salesman and myself. I thought they offered to extend mechanical coverage for an area of the car that I had been warned about as unreliable as part of the sale. When I got home and settled down the next day (I was giddy as a teenager over the gift to my granddaughter and really trusted the salesman - still do) I found the loan contract I signed billed me an extra $ 2000 for extended warranty ! I was told by the finance officer that I misunderstood our conversation and there was no way he could have 'just given me an extension.' He said he offered the extension without raising my payments. Ouch.... I canceled the extra coverage being very unhappy. Unwilling to accept the lost coverage 'agreement' I made an appointment with Mr. John Folio, the financial manager of that dealership. He listened carefully, did not argue about who said what and asked me how to make things better. I declined his offer to sell me the contract at dealer cost.
Three weeks later the ignition coil and spark plug in cylinder 4 went bad. I asked if that was covered by the factory warranty and was told, no, but it would have been under the extended contract for $ 2000. Wow, so I contacted Mr. Folio again. He looked into it and reported that I missed the time to sign up for coverage at this date. He then offered that I contact the service manager to discuss the mechanical history and prognosis for my car and that he would repair the car at company cost to make things less painful at the moment. If I then felt I needed the extended contract he would still sell it at his cost. Wonderful !!!

Robert Corbett was the salesman my wife and I worked with. We were looking for a good used SUV and Robert was most helpfull. He was not at all 'pushy' and answered all our questions. He made sure the SUV we decided to buy was working 100 % (installed a new rear view camera ) and got us a second key fob.

Very disappointed with Chevrolet as this was the 2nd engine in a 2021 Trailblazer that went bad. I do not trust this vehicle at all now. I will be trying to get rid of it. Don t tell them you won t be back, they will just tell you a lot of other customers have said the same thing. The front end people try their best but ultimately have to deal with the overscheduling of appointments and lack of mechanics at times, making it so people like me have to make multiple appointments just to get things done. Oh, and ALWAYS wait for your car to be serviced. The people that wait in the lobby for their cars get serviced first over those who chose to leave or get a ride instead of being in the lobby, even if their appointment was first.

Do not go here because they don't put things back the way they're supposed to. They forgot to put my oil cap back on once and now in my last visit there were multiple wires hanging down unattached. Over the years I have noticed "service" levels at various businesses have suffered which certainly does not help the long term health of the business. Not the case at here and especially in working with Mary Jonathon at Preferred Chevrolet. Every time we have had to visit the dealership with any type of service we have had nothing short of perfect service and we are always met with a "want to help" attitude. This was my first car I purchased from a dealership and yet that didn't stop me from being the most terribly picky customer, I am the person car salesman are warned about, I was looking for a very specific car. Even though I had done no real research in finding one Robert Corbett helped me find what I needed and it turned out the car I wanted was at a completely different dealership but within 24 hours had it at his location, detailed, gassed up, and all the paperwork ready because of my terrible schedule. I was in and out in less than an hour with my car, a history report and $50 a month less than my budget to boot. Not once did he try to switch me to a different car or try to make me sacrifice any of the features I wanted, he was focused on getting me what I wanted and not what he wanted to sell. I had a great time working with him and he explained everything to me as we went along so I could fully understand what I was getting into. It was about as good as signing 30 documents could get. I will be going to Robert Corbett for all of my cars from here on out.

1st I want to say that all the charges that were on the contract were not made known at purchase that I was paying for and were not simply included as was I was explained. Like the extended warranty. I also asked for a vehicle that would not need many repairs right away and gave a priceline. I test drove around 5 vehicle's with many problems and should have just left, but decided I liked the Impala because the test drive was not bad. It was a little noisy with the exhaust system, but that was not an issue. I checked engine and it seems sound. The problem i discovered was the longer I drove it after the purchase, the more it started to vibrate in the front and grind. Braked and rotors are a safety concern if they lock up and a grinding is a concern especially when we just purchased 3 weeks ago. My husband told the manager it was not acceptable to put me in an unsafe car especially with how much we paid. They "fixed it" but after a car wash the vibration is returned and i hear strange noises along with the front end alignment not holding. I am seriously not trusting the service department of this dealership since they feel lubricant and tightening is a fix. This is huge since I got shafted into paying for an extended warranty that I never would have purchased because of the amount of miles I put in for every day. I don't trust this dealership or their poor mechanics that work at a slow pace like union workers and try to rig the vehicles to make them sell without fixing basic safety related problems. I am seriously concerned for taking my car in for the warranty to use it and wind up with out a vehicle as well since I was told I would have a loaner when I brought my car in for service and i got a ride home instead. I will NOT recommend this place! When asked how I like my newer car, I simply say.. I hate it.. thanks!

We got a car on Vacation!! Who does that?? We we did because this was by far the best experience at a dealership we've ever had! Everyone was so kind, sincere and helpful. We loved it and LOVE our Equinox!!! OHHH and I need to add it was the quickest transaction too! Just all around the best experience!! They have a customer for life!

We've had our 2009 Chevy Traverse in this shop fou...

We've had our 2009 Chevy Traverse in this shop four times. The first two were for a "noisy wheel bearing" in the right front wheel. We had work done each visit for a grand total of just under $1,000. This did not fix the problem so we learned to live with it for about a year. Finally earlier this year, I confirmed with some other car people that the problem is the struts and shock towers. I'm saving up to get that replaced right now.

The third time we had it in this shop was in between the first two. They replaced two catalytic converters for $2,000. The fourth time we had it in this shop, just two weeks ago, was because the car wouldn't accelerate and kept stalling. This time they told me I needed to replace all three catalytic converters for $3,700. I told them I simply couldn't afford that and picked the car up. My mechanic friend fixed the third converter for me and I bought and replaced the 2nd bank one myself for just $100. Problem solved right? Wrong.

The support beam for the first catalytic converter Mysteriously broke off putting pressure on the flex pipe that leaves the first catalytic converter. This was the same converter assembly they told me they had replaced just a year earlier. Well the catalytic was forced at a weird angle which caused the support to snap, as I said putting pressure on the flex pipe. The flex pipe lasted about 100 miles before the loud engine noise signaled to me that the problem was indeed not solved.

I popped under the car to find a giant exhaust leak leaving the first bank catalytic converter. I have no idea when the support snapped, but the best I can tell it happened since I refused service at Preferred about 100 miles ago. In any case, Preferred is the only place that's done any work on that catalytic converter since I got the car. I don't know how to read the fact that I refused service and a problem not identified in, but loosely associated to the service I refused caused another part to fail soon after.

I managed to fix the flex pipe support with a weld. This didn't fix the pipe itself which I'll have to take to a muffler shop to get replaced. Every time I've visited this shop I've left with less money and the more problems. Don't go here to get work done.
