Was overcharged on parts during a recent repair to the extent that my extended warranty was made useless. I was informed by the service managers that Poway Honda routinely charges 2x to 10x the market price for a replacement part. Unfortunately, the extended warranty only covers the market price so between the deductible and the part cost overcharging, my extended warranty was useless as I ended up paying the full price of a repair. I will never go back. I will instead take my vehicles to a mechanic who will only charge the market price for the part.

Bought a used car and am not only very satisfied with it, but of the dealerships that i encountered, Poway Honda was the most laid-back and least pushy. If people trying to 'sell you a bridge' fills you with stress and afterwards with buyer's regret, then this place should be a good fit for your desired car-buying experience.
Although I did want to add one thing, if you get the Lo-Jack option (a car retrieval service) with your car and they retrieve the car for you, Lo-Jack will charge you a retrieval fee. So the cost you pay is only to install the Lo-Jack, you still have to pay a fee each time the Lo-Jack is used to retrieve your car.
On May 10, 2019, my son and I had the pleasure of working with salesperson, Marites Cerezo. She was patient and genuine. We weren't rushed or steered towards any type of vehicle or products. We found her to be well versed and informative. We ended up purchasing a vehicle and signed our contract with Ryan Kreutz. It was easy to make an appointment and easy to get my car maintenance. The waiting area in the lobby was very clean and comfortable. Although, due to Covid, I miss the coffee and snacks and free carwash.
Kem was my service technician. I had him before on my last visit as well. I was so happy to have him again. He listened and took care of my car maintenance for me. Extremely friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. I completely trusted him. He gives the absolute best service. Out of 10 stars, I give him a 20.
Jon was such a big help. I needed a replacement key because my wallet with the key attached had been stolen, so I was in a rough place. I ve never met a nicer group of people. Our salesperson, Doc, was exceptional. He made sure I was comfortable with my vehicle choice and all the terms. This was my first Honda and by far, the best experience at a dealership.
My husband and I each own a Honda car and we both found out that our cars were part of recalls that won't have remedies until late fall. My husband called Poway Honda to see if they can take care of us with a loaner car until our cars are repaired. He spoke with Marco, who absolutely took care of us! In fact, he already had the parts for my car and immediately scheduled an appointment for the following day for repairs. When we came in, Marco met with us and my car was not only taken care of within 30mins, he was also able to find the parts needed for my husband's car as well so he booked an appointment and got that repaired too. It's awesome to know our cars feel safe again!
I needed the alignment checked on my Pilot, so I called around. Poway Honda gave me a price and THEN told me about a $10 discount I could get on their website!! I made an appt, online, and set it up to get text reminders, which was a HUGE help for me!!! When I arrived, I was early and I was informed that they'd be right with me. Nyphon Vue came out and helped me. After he got my paperwork filled out, he grabbed me a bottle of cold water, which pretty much made him a Saint, in MY book!! He said it would be about an hour AND they would do a courtesy wash on my car, if I wanted!!! Oh HECK yeah, I wanted!!! I date down in their customer seating, relaxed in the wonderful air conditioning and read a book I'd been wanting to finish...it seemed like no time and Nyphon was back. He discussed the results of the alignment, I paid and headed out. My car was almost immediately out front, shiny and ready to go. While no one likes paying for expensive car work to be done, Poway Honda really took the "pain" out of the experience!! I highly recommend them for your car service needs!!
I hate car shopping. Especially used cars from dealerships. I'd rather watch paint dry. When my sister told me she needs my help buying her first car, I immediately knew that 6 hours of my life would soon disappear. But I was wrong, Poway Honda, specifically Mickey, proved every stereotype I had about car salesman to be untrue. He wasn't there to sell, he was there to serve.
He was honest with us from the first phone call all the way to the purchase. I told him i wanted to be done by a certain time and he made sure he didn't waste any of my time. I told him what our budget was and how much my sister could afford monthly. Within 2.5 hours my sister walked out with her dream first car and I received a best son apron from my parents.

We just bought a Honda Odyssey at Poway Honda and it was probably the best experience we ever had buying a car. The Odyssey is new but looks and drives like new! There was absolutely no pressure. Case #09817005 We purchased our 2019 Honda Pilot from Poway Honda in June of this year. We've taken it back for repairs on three different occasions. When we picked the car up the last time in September, the service department had been in possession of our car longer than we had. They've been unable to fix the brake mitigation problem. The service department at Poway Honda will no longer return our calls or produce copies of testing done by Honda's Field Technical Specialist, Dean Woods.We've documented the times and dates of ten different occasions the braking problem has occurred since picking up the car from the service department this last time. When we contact our Case Manager, the case has been transferred to another manager and we need to start over explaining the issues.
Our salesman, Mickey Perez, stands out as Poway Honda's exceptional employee. He's treated us well, being fair, supportive and honest at all times.
We highly regret purchasing this car from Poway Honda. We'll definitely spread the word to friends, family and associates, urging them NOT to purchase any vehicle from this dealership. Shame on Poway Honda for selling an unsafe car, and refusing to correct the problem.
Oil changes are kind of a drag with three little children in tow. Poway Honda does a great job making the whole process easier. They don't leave me waiting longer than I have to. They have a play room for the children to use, and some free snacks. My daughters love the popcorn. I usually drink a complimentary mocha. I never get the feeling like the service writers are trying to rip me off, like I do at other places. They have told me before that I didn't need to have a service done yet, or helped me with prices. I'm really thankful for them and I won't go anywhere else.
The service was great! The salesman was courteous, informative, and had great things to say as well as key points on all the vehicles I was interested in. They helped direct me to the vehicle I needed and were to the point on extra options and insurance selections available for that vehicle.
I purchased an Accord in 2017. I have always received prompt and professional attention. The Service Dept. staff are efficient, very courteous and helpful.
Adding one ore bad experience happened on March 2017 (previous experience is mentioned below). I went for a regular service and a safety recall from Honda on safety airbags. I was asked to wait for 4hours because i did not have an appointment, i waited patiently for 4+ hrs and got the car. After i came home I realized the driver side airbag had not assembled properly. I tried calling them to check but No one answered the phone and no reply to the voice message. I cancelled all y other appointments and went there, the service agent simple told, "i got your voice message" No explanation why he did not call me. I told them airbag is for safety. Don't be careless on this kind of safety things. It is not professional. I will NOT recommend this place for any one.
This experience is from Aug 2016. I went there for AC repair. The good things are: they diagnosed well and replaced it, did a multi point check and recommended the necessary repairs from the car. The bad things are: took more than one day, I went to honda dealer even though it is expensive with the motivation that I can get the OEM manufactured spares but after the repair works started they said that it will take more than 2 weeks to get the original OEM manufactured spares, they already fixed some parts so i can not take the car out to other shops as well, filed my concern to them as well. Overall, satisfied with the staff but unhappy with the non availability of company OEM manufactured spares and long time.
This just happens to be my local Honda dealership, but it's also one of my favorites. The sales team(Tiffany, Jim, and Co) that I worked with when buying a new car were AWESOME. Andrea and the service department were AMAZING as well when I brought the car in for an oil change and tire rotation. Glenn in the parts department helped me to get the parts I needed for my old Hondas. Feels amazing to be back in a new Honda again. I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for T. Thank you all so much. A+ rating from me for the entire dealership.
The customer service i receive here is one of a kind. I always choice poway honda to get my car serviced. The staff is always helpful including but limited to Raj. Kristi and Evan. They treat you like family not like a number!!
Nyphon (hope I remembered the spelling correctly) is great. He gives you calls to update you and always return voicemails in a timely manner. Setting up appointments is pretty easy and painless, which is nice. I had a few issues with time and shipment of my parts on the first time I brought in my car but Nyphon had made up for that on my next service which was nice.
Our experience with Poway Honda was amazing due to the extremely fast negotiation and paperwork process. As well as our fantastic salesman Megan. She was so helpful and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable as we went through everything. She was also very knowledgeable about the numerous questions I had and was very understanding about everything.

I had scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, Jan 30th, at 10:20AM. When I showed up, I pulled up to the appointment lane and waited. Nobody greeted me for nearly 30 minutes - even as I made direct eye contact with several of the workers (non-technicians). However, I noticed there were numerous cars that showed up after me that went to the non-appointment lanes. 2-3 cars were greeted to me before me!
After finally being helped, I was told my oil change would take up to 60-80 minutes, so I went to sit in the waiting lounge for a bit then walked outside. I then noticed that a non-appointment car that was greeted before me got their service work completed before me! I understand their service may have been different than my oil change but this perception was horrible.
By the time my car was ready, it was 12:20...this was 2 hours past my appointment time...why even have an appointment system for that ridiculous wait?
The only thing that helped was the person that helped me at least tried to be nice.
Went here to buy out my lease and Mickey was so professional and helpful during the whole thing! If you want to buy a car here I'd really recommend going to him! You wont be disappointed!
I had my CRV done for B1 maintenance yesterday at Poway Honda. The service was great and it was done within an hour. The service Rep Marco did a good job by explaining to me the potential issue of my car and offered options for me to take. The Honda Dealer was also nice enough to send me service coupons before the service appointment.

Mickey was very professional and answered all my questions, took me to test drive the car I wanted. I was clear on what I wanted, and he didn't pressure me or used any of his sales tactics (which I was very grateful for), he gave me my space to look around.

I recently brought my Honda Odyssey in to have the catalytic converter replaced. Al Rodriguez made what would normally be a hassle, a very positive experience and one that keeps me and my family coming back. Al scheduled me on the day and time I preferred, and given my work schedule, that was no easy task. He told me up front how long it would take and knowing how it would impact my schedule, graciously offered me a loaner car so I could meet my work obligations while having my car repaired. He arranged for a ride to Hertz which came immediately and even that process was expedient. As he consistently does when I'm scheduled for a service visit, he asked if there was anything else he could help with. I hesitated, because it was a rattle in the driver's side door that Poway Honda had previously fixed, but I mentioned that since then, the door was hard to open. Without blinking an eye or being bothered by addressing something that had previously been repaired, Al listened, tried the door himself and concurred that it should be revisited. It turned out that a cable was twisted which made the door harder to open. Al communicate openly with me, had the catalytic converter replaced and fixed the door, all in less time and money than the estimate I received. As if that weren't enough, he also took the time to have my car washed even though it was near the end of a very busy day. Al is an incredible asset to Poway Honda and is the reason I will continue to have our vehicles serviced there.
Great customer service, after shopping around in several dealerships Poway Honda had the best deals. In the finance department everything was well explained no hidden charges and it was fast and easy. I would highly recommend leasing or purchasing your next vehicle at Poway Honda
My sister has been looking to purchase a vehicle for some time... but her circumstances have prevented her from visiting any dealerships. I came across a Honda CR-V on Poway Honda s website and Doc went above and beyond to accommodate my sister s circumstance. He drove the Cr-v all the way from Poway to Vista just so my sister could test drive! She ended up buying the vehicle and Doc and his partners again went out of their way to give my sister the best deal possible! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle!

Fantastic sales & service experience. I bought my certified pre-owned 2012 Acccord 4dr Sedan here in 2015. Gary Lobel is a phenomal resource. I take my Honda back to the dealership for regular service and they do an amazing job for a reasonable price. Worked with Jon in service and he was awesome. I had an issue with my Hybrid battery (I thought- IMA message came up). As I bought this vehicle used, thought I possibly had some out of pocket to pay for this. He looked at warranty and even brought in a Honda Representative to check out the inverter cable from my Hybrid battery to engine. As I already told Jon i was out of town for most of the week, he kept me well informed and updated me till the issue was fixed. Was great having update calls to make sure I was fully aware of what was going on.

Marco was excellent. Although he had advised me that my oil change would take approx 90 min, he had my car ready including car wash in 45 min. He was very professional and I was very satisfied with his customer service.
I went to Poway Honda to change the oil and fix the flat tires on last Saturday. They found two tires with a nail and charged me $50 to fix it and they told me $50 is a very GOOD price because I'm a college student. But the flat tire light was on again when I started to drive on Sunday! I called them on Monday yes they promised I can come back but the point is Poway Honda is far away from my school! So I went to a small tire place close to me (the name is Team Power Tire) and found out there was still a big hole on one of the tire they fixed. They just used something like a kind of clay and I could even hear the air was rushing out. The small place charged me $15 and used a sticker to fix it. I was watching them all the time and their service was so good! I won't go back to Poway Honda again. In addition, when I was informed my car was ready on Saturday, I came back to pick my car and they didn't wash my car as they promised. The person (probably Marcle) who was taking care of my car just left me there with no words and went out and even didn't ask me to wait. I waited there for half an hour to get my car
I initially went to Poway Honda because it's close to my apartment. However, I continued to go because of the outstanding service. All of the employees are friendly and helpful, but Al was especially my favorite. The sales team helped me buy out my lease despite some unique circumstances and the service team always provide excellent service to my car, no matter what it needs. I would definitely recommend people to go to Poway Honda.

I recently serviced my CRV at Poway Honda. My service advisor Andrea was friendly and knowledgeable and cared about thoroughly researching my problem. My radio has intermittent glitches where the dashboard freezes and/or randomly moves through the options on its own. In addition to providing regularly scheduled maintenance, Andrea worked with the technician to carefully evaluate possible causes. Although I provided recent video of the radio glitches, the technician could not duplicate these. A service bulletin was performed and Andrea instructed me to return should the problem recur. I appreciate the interest Andrea took in addressing my concerns.
Excellent service by Honda service representative. Covid19 precautions were taken seriously. These are the reasons why I keep coming back to Poway Honda, even though it is a little far away from my home.
Tee was great, helpful and patient. Well, they have to practice typical salesman techniques, but it's their job to offer those to you, but you do have to hold your own line about what additional service you want :). Generally great experience, loan was a breeze, too.
They are ok. People were nice. But I wish they had better communication and paid a bit more attention to detail. Car seems to run ok, but it was an alignment and tire job.

Didn t try to give me the run around or upsell me, Nikki was amazing and helped us out so much and was very patient and was really trying to help us get the best deal. Posts Honda was very prompt, courtious, and professional at addressing a safety recall issue on my 2010 CR-V. We were placed in a rental vehicle and never inconvenienced once during the process.

I scheduled an appointment yet had to wait more than 20 minutes for an associate to check me in. After I was checked in, I found the service to be quick and the Honda team members friendly. However, the next day after I received service, my car wouldn't start. It was determined that I needed a new battery. According to the Vehicle Inspection Checklist I received, the battery was in the green "Items Passing Inspection" section. This leads me to believe that the service I received was incomplete and that items were not thoroughly checked. I do not trust that the service I received was what I paid for. Unhappy customer here and unsure if I will be back.
My Honda 2003 CRV, the engine light comes on and I check for the source of the problem. Fault code P0661. Checked the internet for the problem solution and find out that the intake manifold runner control sensor was in fault. My research further informed me that I would not ruin my engine if I drove around in it for my needs. I then took the next step and called Poway Honda and asked to speak to a service individual. I was connected to Marco Lopez-Ramirez who was very helpful and further informing me of my options which included what I wanted to see done on my car. Marco suggested I have a diagnostic be done to my car to fully understand the problem and what needed to be done to my vehicle to solve the fault code. He further informed me that if I had the work done, the cost would be applied the total cost of my vehicle repair. I instructed Marco to do what he had suggested. Bottom line, I was very pleased the service done on my vehicle and for the Marco's knowledge and his personal people skills. Thank you Marco and Poway Honda.
Brittany was my sales rep and she made everything so easy! Very nice and great to work with, explained everything in detail that I didn't understand. Mike helped me out in finance and he made everything funny and painless. By far best first car buying experience ever.
