I had a service appointment at 8:20 am on 2-14-202...

I had a service appointment at 8:20 am on 2-14-2020, checked in at 8:05 am, was told to wait in the car on the appointment lane. I then saw three cars pulling into the No appointment lane . First, it was a black Honda CR-V, then a silver Honda Pilot and then a white Honda Civic about five minutes apart. I was thinking to myself, I would be next especially I had an appointment .
To my surprise, Poway Honda Service took care of the black Honda CR-V first, brought it inside; then about five minutes later, they went to the silver Honda Pilot next and took it inside shortly after. I was thinking to myself, oh well, I would be next because my appointment was 8:20 am and the clock showed 8:35 am. BUT NO, they went to the White Civic next to start the paperwork. I checked to make sure I was on the appointment lane. I was indeed on the appointment lane. I went inside, politely asked one of the service reps about my appointment. He said he was finishing paperwork for something else but did asked me what happened. I told him what happened above. He told me to talk to the manager because of the system they were using. The manager had a sign on his door, DO NOT DISTURB so guess what I had to wait until someone were free to help me.
Finally a service rep came, checked me in, took my van in and I left the dealership at around 8:55 and was told she would call me around noon when it should be done. I came back to my office late, was late to see my first patient at 9 am, needless to say pushing my work schedule back for the rest of the day at my office.
I then called around noon, was transferred to my service rep, left her a voice mail message about if my van was done. I called around 1 pm again because I needed to pick up my kids from school at 2:30 pm. I was told I needed to talk to my service rep, was transferred to her voicemail and left her another message.
Finally, I called around 2 pm, demanded that I needed to talk to somebody when I could pick up my van. The service rep picking up my call, was able to track down my service rep and about 20 minutes later confirmed that my van was ready for pick up.
So lessons learned. If you HAVE TO GO to Poway Honda for service, don t bother making an appointment, just go to the non-appointment lane, you will get serviced faster. It seems TIME and APPOINTMENT concepts do not exit here. In addition, for a software update and to check on a power plug recall on a 2019 Honda Odyssey took 5.5 hrs of service is beyond me. There are other Honda Services out there which I am sure can provide the same Honda Dealer Service quality but with better respect of your time, since there is ZERO respect for customer s time at Poway Honda dealer.

Service department told me that they changed my car's coolant / Water Filter during a timing belt change, but when I came home after servicing the car, I realized that coolant level is same before I took the car to the service. The coolant level was very noticeably low and clearly needed a top up, therefore I knew the level very well. Clearly they didn't change the coolant but now I also doubt that they changed water pump. Be careful with this place.

Meh service... I had taken my 2018 odyssey Elite for a recall, and also for service, work was done service adviser never explained details of full work done. The dealer never updated the records either, I kept getting calls from american Honda advising me to take care of the recall.
I though maybe its an isolated incident, this week i ordered some filters and parts from their store the individual taking my order was so rude, after the order was done i see my card has been charged its been a week i have no indication if the parts I ordered have arrived, tried calling twice both times i get a voice mail when transferred to the parts department. I now question if this dealer is even worth going to i have to find another dealer close to my work.

My CR-V A/C was blowing warm air. I called three Honda dealers near me, Poway was the most courteous and helpful on the phone, and their diagnosis fee is the cheapest. After seeing the good reviews about them, I decided to ditch my old dealer to give Poway a try. I am so happy I did. I had done some research before going, CR-V A/C compressor has been a common problem and was recalled. But my warranty has expired. I had expected to pay $800-1000 to replace it. So I was very happy when Marco told me they found the problem, it was not the compressor but main replay, and it only cost $32 for the part + diagnosis fee $120. When I picked up the car, the car was washed and done a multi-point vehicle inspection all for free. Everyone greets and treats customer with respect. Especially thanks to my service advisor Marco Lopez-Ramirez. I would certainly go back again.

Poway Honda does great work; every time I schedule a routine maintenance they get me in and out quickly and always are courteous. I schedule my appointments online which makes it really easy to do business with them. They always call to let me know if something unexpected comes up and their courtesy shuttle is really convenient.

I have had 3 encounters with Poway Honda's service...

I have had 3 encounters with Poway Honda's service department, all negative. The odds of that happening are pretty low, yet here we are.

Visit 1: Had an issue where my accord was cranking very slowly. Pulled into Poway Honda, was greeted by the service writer where I was told that I would have to wait 4 hours before a tech could run a simple battery test (which only involves clipping it onto the battery cables and pushing a button). I went to Honda of Escondido and they were able to tell me within 5 minutes that I needed a new battery. 10 minutes later I was on my way.

Visit 2: Slow cranking again on the accord. Pulled into Poway Honda again (like an fool who didn't learn his lesson), and the service writer came out to greet me. I told them the issue, and again was told it would be 3 to 4 hours until a tech could look at it. Again left for Honda Escondido. 20 minutes after arriving, the service writer told me the battery was fine this time, but my starter was drawing far too much current. When they told me it would be almost $1000 to replace the starter, I laughed hysterically and asked for my keys. It was a pain to replace, as it was a bit buried in the motor, but 3 hours of work saved me over $800.

Visit 3: Slow cranking, yet AGAIN on the accord (23 months after battery replacement). Pulled into Poway Honda (I must be a total glutton for punishment because I never seem to learn my lesson). Since I had replaced the starter less than a year ago, I was confident the battery had gone bad again. Greeter came out and I told her I was having trouble with the battery. To my surprise this time the expected wait was only 30 minutes. Then I made the mistake of telling her it should be covered under warranty since it was under 2 years from buying the last one. She told me I needed a receipt, otherwise they couldn't help. Fair enough. I called Honda of Escondido and had them email me a copy. Then when I showed it to her, she told me they didn't have the battery in stock (a VERY COMMON 51R type) and it would be 3-4 hours to get one. Funny that she didn't mention that when she thought I was BUYING A NEW ONE. Again, went to Honda of Escondido, and was on my way 20 minutes later with a free replacement battery.

Bonus (not a visit): Knock sensor code being thrown by my 2011 Pilot, and timing belt is due. Went to call Poway Honda Service department at 3:50 today (hours say they are open till 5 on Saturdays). My call was forwarded to a service writer, but apparently they had already left for the day.

It is REALLY SAD that I still have to drive to Honda of Escondido to get decent service even though I moved to Poway. No point in reaching out or trying to get me to change my mind at this point. I won't be returning to Poway Honda. I have never had any issue with the sales team, both new and used have treated me very well. But the service department sucks enough that I refuse to even buy a car from Poway Honda. Too bad, because I am buying another car during the Happy Honda Days sale this year.

I bought my new CRV from #PowayHonda last Sunday evening and we final the deal in some price for OUT OF THE DOOR but #powayHondafinance guys messed the paper work and put the agreed Out the Door price to base price and added all other things there after AND my mistake was that I did not saw the paper and signed it. I agreed that it is my mistake and I must have to check the papers before sign, but I did not and just trusted on our words. I saw the papers when I came home. I called them next day morning #within24hrs, but sales person and finance guys didn't entertain my request to update the paper work and correct this mistake as they are getting benefited by this.
If same kind of mistake was happened which make them in loss, they would have call me to correct that. I knew they could have done without any issue, but that business and they benefited by my mistake.

Checking the papers was in my mind but got distracted as #PowayHondaFinance trying to sell all other things as they do and I lost my mind there :( and had big loss.
So I would say check your papers don't trust on words, I learned my lesson :(

Although there were minor, could not be controlled delays, Chuck was the most amazing agent to assist me and to make my experience top of the line. Professional, transparent and fair - I have been coming to Poway Honda for many years and have had the best experiences from all I have worked with. My husband and I will continue to return for all our vehicle needs, more importantly, we will ask for Chuck to always help us. Thank you so much Chuck and Poway Honda for always ensuring our vehicles are in peak running condition.

I have to say, the service is amazing here. Honest and fair, their team of service advisors keep me coming back consistently.

However, I can't quite say the same about the sales team. When I last tried to purchase a vehicle, I wanted to test drive one of the lower trims as the higher tier trim wasn't available yet. The goal was if the lower trim drove well, I would be comfortable putting a hold on the higher trim as it came out. Long story short, they lost my business... But I still come back to the service team.

It was a great visit. Everyone did their absolute best to help out. The most important thing for us besides the quality is how the salesperson is. We don't like the pushy sales people. In our case, It was great to have some space and think about our options. Raj and Gary both were very nice and helpful. We didn't feel pushed for the purchase. My experience was amazing! I worked with Gary who has been with Honda for 11 years. I called him a few weeks prior to meeting with him and we discussed my options over the phone. I scheduled an appointment and Gary was very informative and up front about cost. I really appreciated his honesty and sincerity. A week later I went back to sign the lease for my new CRV. I was searching for an updated, reliable car to last me for the next several years and I was helped by one of the most authentic, kindest salesmen at Poway Honda. Mickey is a top-notch salesman who worked in the car services department for many, many years. He is very attentive to what you are needing in a car and has the knowledge to back up what he is selling. As a woman entering a car dealership, there's always that worry that the salespeople might be condescending or may try to swindle you. Not once did I feel that working with Mickey. As for this Honda dealership, they should be grateful and realize their luck to have a team member like Mickey! The vehicle was less than 3 years old and had a battery down issue. Got a next day early morning appointment. They squeezed me in the appointment list with the best service rep (Jerald). He made sure the battery was first tested thoroughly and as he believed that battery replacement would be better than any fix, he went ahead and replaced with a new battery for no charge. He takes every customer's requirements as his own and goes beyond and gets the work done. He is "the one" I highly recommend to go to.

I needed my 2018 Honda Odyssey taken care of and they have done a great job.
The issue I had were causing sensors and maintenance lights to come on spontaneously and it was getting quite disturbing. In November 2018, I took it to Poway Honda for an oil change and Marco (service advisor) quickly gave me the option to have two recalls done on it; this was prior to Honda sending me the recall notifications so I was not even aware of them.
During the oil change, Marco and his technicians realized the issues I had with my sensors. They did a diagnostic and ordered a seat belt sensor which they felt would fix my issue. Installing a new sensor and then doing the recalls required my vehicle to stay one day at their facility. They arranged tirelessly for me to get a rental van because of the number of children I have. The next day, I pick up my car and leave happy. The error seemed to have been taken care of until Jan 2019.
I planned to return to Poway Honda and called them I was on the way in the next 30 minutes. As soon as I arrived, Marco tells me that he had already called Enterprise and locked on a van for me and said, he and his team will find out what s wrong with my van and not let this problem go on. He calls me later that day and tells me that it was the actual SRS Harness but he could not get the part for a few days since it was coming from Ohio even though he had requested expedited shipping. Along with Honda of America, they felt the alarm installed from the dealership I bought it from may be faulty. Marco kept me up to date daily of my vehicle and the parts on order. My van interior was taken apart just to fix the issue. I was called that my van was ready around 9 days later. It has been two weeks now and no issue seem to be present.
Highly Recommend Marco and his team of experts at Poway Honda. I will be there again for my regular and unscheduled maintence needs since they have shown me great knowledge and honesty throughout this extremely tiring problem.

My experience at Poway Honda was wonderful! I purchased 2017 Honda Civic and I am absolutely in love with it. I got an amazing deal. People were so patient and kind with answering all of my questions and was never pushy with anything. Car buying experiences easy and hassle-free. I was happy with every aspect.

My husband and I were beyond happy with the level of customer service we received at the Poway Honda Service Department. Our Service Advisor, Valentin Morales, was amazing from start to finish. I brought my car in for a B1-Minder and had my 4 year old with me. I made my appointment first thing in the morning and only planned on being there for a few hours. Valentin made me aware of a recall on my airbag and informed me that my car would need to be there all day. I chose to have it done and he arranged for a complimentary rental. I was shocked to see the shuttle service waiting to pick me up before I even finished filling out the paperwork. In addition Valentin helped me carry my child s very heavy and large car seat to and from the cars. Also, when I came back to pick up my car that evening, a female Service Advisor made sure to park my car right next to where I left my child s car seat outside. They were very dialed in to their customers needs and this stood out to me. My husband and I will continue to service all 3 of our Honda s here. Thank you.

Awesome experience so far with this dealer. Though, honestly, with my particular car buying situation, I'm not that difficult to please. Just need a reliable used car for a year. Still, the dealers have been very accommodating and incredibly helpful. Will update this as the experience continues and after completing my purchase, but I expect it to stay the same.

We purchased a 2013 Honda Civic and are very happy with the car. The sales people were not pushy and very helpful trying to find the right car at the price we were looking. The only mistake we made was not asking ahead of time if the car had been in any accidents and only found that out when we were going through all of the paper work. Everyone is very helpful and accommodating there.

Poway Honda is like an oasis in a desert of terrible Honda dealers. We drove up here from SD, after having been to many different Honda dealers, and after having experienced some absurd situations. We thought we had found our car at Mossy Honda in Lemon Grove... but after several hours of haggling over the price, and an agreement to buy and pick up a Honda HRV, we were told that the car wouldn't be available to pick up until they addressed a TSB for the door handle. The dealer claimed this was required by "law" -- needless to say, this was not true!

So we left Mossy and started to search. We called Honda Poway, and spoke with the lovely Henry Campos. Henry found our car, but it was up in Santa Monica -- so he drove at 6am to get the car and returned the same day. That is service!

Everyone at Poway was professional and polite. Both I (Maria) and my son in law want to thank Mr. Campos especially: he was the outstanding employee who not only found the Honda HRV we wanted, but also guided the entire buying process to ensure that everything went smoothly. So yesterday, we left Poway Honda with our new 2016 Honda HRV!

We just bought a Honda Odyssey at Poway Honda and it was probably the best experience we ever had buying a car. The Odyssey is new but looks and drives like new! There was absolutely no pressure. I have been customer for about 10yrs now, Marco and Al take theIr time to listen to my concerns and go beyond to help me and each customers. I know this is a fact because there are times I need to wait my turn. (All worth it)Nothing is left rushed. I have been to two other dealerships and non compare.
