Loved the croque Madame, egg was perfect, sauce yummy and grilled kale exactly what I wanted! Viewed other diners' feed and the portions are pretty large.

Ru-benedict (Reuben / Benedict) special was amazing!
Food was good. I would go back I don't think that the choices for the tip starting with 18 percent is appropriate for a place where you order at the counter
This place is simply perfect. Unpretentious food made from the best ingredients available. Best place for Breakfast, Lunch and Brunch in Ballard.
Really good food. Great staff and mmmmmm! Delicious!
Original and creative, great flavors, reasonable prices, what's not to like? Who would think of porchetta Benedict? And then execute it so well, particularly the porchetta hollandaise. I'm a very good cook and I can't figure out how I would do it. This chef likely one to watch. Meanwhile, go eat there. Just do it.
It was good, but not great. I like that their ingredients are sustainably sourced, but I wish there had been better service. They were also running out of like half the menu by the time we went in. We all liked our food enough though.
This is my favorite restaurant. It's so consistently delicious and innovative.
I have never eaten a more amazing meal out than I have here at Porkchop & Co. I only wish they were still open for dinner.
We've been to Porkchop about a dozen times for dinner and have enjoyed every meal. The menu changes frequently enough to make it interesting to come back every few weeks. Many of the dishes include some uncommon and yummy pickled or smoked tidbit that delights the palate. In addition, they know how to make and serve real pasta - some of the best in Seattle. I've eaten at just about every restaurant in Ballard multiple times and this place is one of the best. If you're looking for overpriced, mediocre food in a place so loud you cannot have a conversation, head to one of the joints on Ballard Avenue. If you want a memorable meal, give Porkchop a try. Full disclosure - I'm dishing up this rave review because I love eating here and I want Porkchop to be around for many years. An added bonus is the large collection of excellent cookbooks in the dining room available for browsing while your order is being prepared.
Ordered the biscuits and gravy and foie gras French toast. Both were exceptional. Would definitely come back.
Good brunch spot in Ballard.
Expect a wait time on the weekends.
Drinks: The Kuma coffee is amazing! I m not usually a fan of drip coffee; but this was genuinely great. The Tumeric-Ginger Rishi hot tea, is okay.
Food: You MUST checkin to yelp to get a free Beet Crostini! I m not a fan of beetroot, but this was sooo good! The beet spread had a nice creamy texture and the added arugula makes it even better. This is a fantastic reward for a checkin.
Shakshuka: These are poached eggs in a tomato based sauce. It s quite tangy and those who like anything marinara, will enjoy this dish. I did not so much.
Breakfast Bowl: These are poached eggs with kale and cheesy grits. You can add additional toppings. I got the porchetta. The bowl itself was great! However I wasn t a fan of the porchetta which was way too fatty and occasionally hard and unchewable.
The service is quick, however I found it annoying that they don t take your order at the table. You have to stand in line at the counter to place an order. It s a bit frustrating because this restaurant often has a wait to get a table. And once you get a table you end up waiting in line all over again to place an order.
Tried the pork belly hash and a biscuit with jam. So delicious. The flavor of the hash was fantastic and I loved the amount of veggies included. And the jam...the jam... it was So so good. Can t wait to come back.
Went there for brunch. Portions were small, food was delivered cold, service almost doesn't exist, and food did not arrive as described on menu. Not a good experience.
A very PNW joint - both in decor and food. Food was well done, mostly, but the simpler dishes like biscuit and jam seemed to be where their strengths really lie. I'd like to go back and dial in my favorite dish... I'm thinking it might be this concoction with a "duck liver surprise." The place is kid friendly, including high chairs.
Amazing breakfast place. Beat breakfast in Ballard and the biscuits are just to die for. Glad I found this place
Overpriced hipster fare. Food was okay, not great. A meal for a single person will run close to $50.00. Way too much for average tasting breakfast food.
It's definitely possible that I have an as-of-yet unidentified sensitivity to some seasoning that they use here, but I've had an upset stomach after all 4 times I've eaten here. Tastes okay, but was not worth the discomfort. My husband experienced the same.
Service was great but didn't have a lot of menu choices
Great brunch place. Pretty crowded over the weekends so plan ahead. They don't take reservations
Excellent food. Keto/low carb/carnivore/zerocarb friendly.
I got side orders of pork belly, bacon and poached eggs. The pork belly was exceptionally tasty. I could have gotten 2 orders of that, alone. The poached eggs were so smooth and the yolk, perfect.
Boyfriend got the pork belly hash and biscuit with jam and butter. He said it was the best meal he s had in a long time. Raved about the jam and how well all the flavors came together in the hash.
Officially I d give them a 4.5 rating. The food was really good, but I d suggest ordering there vs calling ahead as our breakfast sandwiches were a bit soggy once we got home. The bagels were also a tad too stodgy, however I got a plain bagel and made it the next day and it was amazing, so I think they may have just over toasted the bagel. It happens, overall not a bad experience and I d order again!
The food, the environment, everything was perfect!!! I can't describe how underated their food menu is, always a surprise due to the seasonal changes in food availability. If you get a chance, breakfast, Benedict meal, and for dinner the actual porkchop!!
The food was good. Not excellent but good. I often see crowds here on the weekends so I was grateful to try it on a weekday morning when there was no wait. I'm not sure it would be worth that line. One orders at the counter and then they bring food to the table. Biscuits were dense rather than light and fluffy. Not necessarily problematic, just letting you know in case you want a lighter biscuit.
We ended up here completely by mistake - the restaurant I had chosen for brunch wasn't open until 10 -- the host at Porkchop not only let us come in 5 minutes before they opened at 8 (so that we could escape the rain) -- he sat us and let us help ourselves to coffee!
The food was all excellent! They smoke their meats make all of their jams and breads in house.
I had a pretty standard breakfast (eggs - bacon - biscuits and jam) and my husband had the shakshuka with a bagel and cream cheese on the side --- we both probably could have stopped about halfway through, but it was so delicious, we both left totally clean plates!
My only regret is that we didn't try the rabbit sausage - if it was only half as good as the rest of our food - it would have been excellent!
We will definitely be revisiting Porkchop!
Long wait but worth it. Brunch menu is one of the best.
Breakfast Bowl: Two slow poached eggs, braised kale, cheesy heirloom grits, & the hot smoked salmon option. Had to pair it with a traditional mimosa; delicious! And the quickest service, too (at 10:30 am on a Wednesday morning)!
Outstanding food and attention to quality. We've been backa few times and are always impressed.
I was excited to try this after reading the menu and reviews. The food was good and what I was expecting, if not better. The drinks were horrible and expensive. The service was rude and slow. And towards the end they kept trying to take Un fished plates so they could seat the next group.
They have really nice HUGE burritos and they're always friendly.
Bagels are amazing, no doubt about it. Chewy, great flavor and texture.
Tried their breakfast burrito today since everyone raves about them...And it makes me unsure if anyone in Seattle has had a good breakfast burrito. Maybe my standards are high because I was spoiled when I lived in LA. Maybe I happened to come on an off day, that happens. Idk.
The ingredients themselves were seasoned well with salt, and despite being doused in salsa it was very lacking in flavor. Even a quick squeeze of lime would have woken it up. Had to take it home and put choulula on it to try and recover it :( I ll try again another day. I wanna love Porkchop!
Just love the home cooked food at Porkchop. If you've ever been to Wandering Goose on Capitol Hill it like that but way better in the food department. Counter service, they bring it to your table. Foie gras stuffed French toast anyone?? And biscuits the size of your head. They are also next to Full Tilt I will Cream. Win win. They are open until 3 and serve breakfast/brunch everyday which is nice for those of us who actually work on the weekend and want brunch on Wednesday! Love, love, love!
Overpriced for average food. If you want to drop $50 on eggs and a bagel they forget to bring you then this is the spot for you. Go anywhere else.
Yeah idk.. Service was good but a bit slow and the food was odd. I respect that they were trying new things but my sandwich tasted like it had gone bad.
It's difficult to stray from the Kimchi Hash (please don't ever go away!!)- but everything I've had here has been spectacular!!
My new favorite place to eat in Ballard, a true secret gem.
Besides the Kimchi Hash, try- Octopus Pancake, Cauliflower Sandwich!
Delicious heaven!!
Thank you Porkchop!! <3
An ok place depending on what you order. Everything was cooked very well, but they use a lot of vinegar and potent spices. I got the pork hash and there was so much fennel or anise that it smelled like I was eating a plate of licorice. I couldn't finish it. There were pickled veggies or fruit in the dish as well that were very very tart. The sauerkraut wasn't quite as bad, but I've never had kraut quite like this before either and I grew up eating it. Not sure if it was the style of shredded cabbage or just the spices they used, but it was a little off. The kimchi was very tart by comparison to what I've had in the past, and I absolutely love pickled things. I wouldn't order any of these items again. The plain potatoes and grits my mom ordered were tasty, but are very plain. Seems like it fluctuates between too potent and too bland. I'm bummed because I've been wanting to try this place for a while, but I don't thin it's for me. Very polite staff and a clean establishment though, so if the flavors are to your taste, you'll have a great experience here.
Brunch here is amazing. A little bit of a wait Saturday around 10am, but worth it. I recommend the benedict and mojitos.
Never met Howard, bit the sandwich named after him was very good. Service is great.
The arugula, cauliflower, and poached egg sandwich is totally decadent.
BROOOOOOOMG the joy my taste buds felt after devouring the Lazaro and Joey Ramone will soon not be forgotten. Absolutely delight. Can t wait to go back in like, 45 minutes since my last visit.
Food tasted delicious but was pricy for the portion size.
Excellent quality food for the price. All the ingredients are fresh, and the meals thoughtfully created.
Wow! Vegetarian with a secret pork love affair, here...This place did not disappoint. Pickle and porchetta sammie anyone? Yummm.
It's been my favorite place to eat in Ballard. First time came here for brunch and surprisingly it was so good and makes me want to visit again and again. Love their fried chicken with spicy sauce and kimchi as a side. Also their cauliflower sandwiches is always good option for the happy hour food.
I've been to Pokchop & Co. for brunch four or five times in the past year or so. I usually either get the pork belly hash or the Frank's scramble, both of which are fantastic.
The pork belly basically melts in your mouth, and the poached egg seems to be cooked to some sort of almost buttery gel (it seems to be sous-vide or something at a low heat for a long time). Even if you get the scramble instead of the hash I'd recommend adding the pork belly to it (although I hear good things about the bacon as well).
The scramble is a mix of scrambled eggs (obviously), peppers, and mushrooms, served with two slices of toast.
Everything we had was extremely delicious. We will definitely return. Time for a food coma...
One of the few places that makes counter service personable and palatable. A great combination of casual and counter dining.
Great food! We had the steak hash and breakfast bowl. Both were winners. We will definitely be back
An interesting menu with lots of tasty brunch options. The place has a nice warm atmosphere contributed by the friendly staff, wood finishing and large open windows onto the street.
My wife had a scramble with morel mushrooms which was delicious! I had the shukshuka which wasn't my favourite, but was still tasty and well made.
The bagels here are LEGIT. Best bagels I ve had in Seattle, and love that they deliver by the dozen.
Great place with pretty authentic food for brunch!
We tried Shakshuka and Pork Benedict - they were amazing!!
This is one of the few places the food I really enjoy in Seattle. Their food is simple and cooked to the right point. Not over hyped, but genuine. Not delicate bt complex. Go get a brunch here.
BEST FOOD IN MIAMI!!! A little out of the way if you're staying in South Beach but well worth it. The restaurant is very spacious and as busy as it was, there was almost no wait during dinner time. Excellent service, price, atmosphere, and More
My husband and I have been regulars here ever since we moved to Ballard and thought it was time to write a review. It's one of our regular brunch spots. I get the Steak and Kimchi Hash every single time, because it's SO delicious and there is no other dish like it in Seattle. Shakshouka is also great. The coffee is good. Love the Bloody Marys. The service is always awesome and the owners are super nice and good people. We've also been here for a New Years Eve pre-fix dinner with friends and we all loved it. The ambiance is perfect whether you're dining solo, as a couple, or with a group.
The service here is friendly and the brunch is super delicious--especially the Shakshouka. I love getting food that I can't make at home so the slow-poached eggs are the coolest thing to me. I have yet to eat something that I don't like at Pork Chop.
Quality quality quality. They are always improving. Seriously
Pretty disappointed after reading the reviews.... We happened to beat the lunch rush but they still forgot to bring our beverages out. I asked at the counter for the eggs to be cooked well and they told me "no problem!" and when the food came out they were soft poached and I was told they NEVER made their eggs hard cooked. We splurged and got the extra jam and butter for our toast (which came out super burnt). The jam tasted like freezer preserve... what a waste of $4.
Once the eggs came back cooked (which the people were pretty nice about which is why they got two stars) the food was bland even for having added on the chorizo (another extra $4).
Overall, compared to other breakfasts/brunch I've had in the area it just doesn't compare.
I live in the neighborhood & can't believe I've never eaten here before. It's a wonderful eatery with a bustling atmosphere and a charming neighborhood feel. Delicious food, very gracious staff!! Planned a birthday Sunday brunch here for our Mom's 76th birthday. Our group had been seated for a while before we learned that there was a late arrival was due to a sudden injury. The staff was incredibly warm and accommodating about it; and even brought out a birthday treat for Mom!
The menu is genuine, with creative dishes. Poached eggs is certainly a strong suit here. For brunch, this is a superior restaurant. The best part is the natural atmosphere. I felt at home when I ate here.
The atmosphere here is very good and the staffs are so friendly. Bagels are awesome
Great breakfast burrito and bagels. This place has (by far) the best bagels in Seattle. The bagels are a little bit small but could certainly hold their own against NY bagels.
Very good food, so different than any other place. Unique dishes, cozy place, contemporary style restaurant. Friendly people, it feels like you re eating at your aunt s house. Great for breakfast, brunch, lunch. Usually busy and you have to wait. Closed for dinner. Lots of housemade bagels and spreads to chose from, biscuits, burritos, pork belly hash, foie gras french toast, breakfast bowl, pork chop, porchetta benedict, mimosa and so much more.
Some of my favorite dishes are pork belly hash, french toast with foie grass, poached eggs, eggs benedict, mimosa and so many other wonderful dishes.
Excellent food, excellent place, can t wait to go back.
We came here for brunch and the food was great. Everything is made, cured, smoked, etc in house. My only complaint was the staff taking our order and delivering food was a little "spacey".
Brussel sprouts were amazing. Shakshouka was pretty good too.
Wouldn't get the Howard again - the meat quality wasn't the greatest.
They want a tip before the service? It's pretty silly. Either factor it into the cost, or do table service
I enjoyed everything about this place. Talking with the owner was excellent as well. It's a good fit for Ballard. With the current interest in eating REAL food, this is sorely needed. Not only is it entirely scratch made but it has a few of my own favorites like coarse grind grits and flavorful greens. A side of real smoked ham fit nicely in the bowl. I am so in love with this place...
My date found out the owner used to live next door to their family on the East Coast as children. Small world.
On a dreary wet cold Seattle day, this is a perfect haunt.
You'll only find breakfast/brunch food here, but its top notch and super tasty! It's one of my new favorite places to go for weekend brunch!
Went for breakfast and the food and drinks were all great. Nice space and staff.
Fun spot to grab brunch! There may be a wait on a busy weekend.
BLUF: good comfort breakfast with a fancy spin at the expense of ordering your own food counter service style.
Really enjoyed the food here but wasn t a fan of the place overall. The food was actually quite good, but actually expensive. I realize I got the $19 Porkchop deluxe but $40 for breakfast (without tip) for one person is pretty crazy. The $10 Bloody Mary was a pretty bad deal. Bigger size, but no tasteable alcohol or accompaniments (fruit, celery, bacon, etc.).
Not only was the food expensive, but you would expect table service at those prices. I really liked the food and wanted to like the place based on infatuation s raved review. Might come back if I m in the area, but wouldn t go out of my way.
Had a family brunch here last summer. Great food, lively atmosphere. The counter-based ordering system is a little confusing,
My order:
Improved coffee
Just Ballard sunrise
Breakfast bowl, add porchetta kimchi
2 x Side French toast
2 x Pork belly hash 1 extra plate
Buttermilk biscuit with jam
Steak and kimchi hash were top notch. My girlfriend ordered the special (gnocci with sungold tomatoes, morels, peas, and broccoli pesto) and it was perfect as well. Glad we came on a weekday I had off from work though -- I can't imagine the hours would see me in here as much on a normal work day. But for friendliness, taste, and presentation: five stars.
Loved my porchetta benedict! Interesting set up, too, where you order and pay before being seated.
Very difficult to get a table on the weekend but well worth the wait. One of the better brunch locations in Ballard! Try the shakshouka
We decided to come here for brunch after reading great reviews online. The food was a bit pricey for what we got. I asked for eggs poached medium and was told they don t do that. My eggs were undercooked and runny. Two meals and coffee came to $50 USD. My biggest complaint was that you had to go to the counter to order, pour your own coffee, serve yourself, and the payment machine still prompted for a minimum 18% tip.
We did come at a busy time and were the last table to get seated without a wait which was a bonus.
There food is delicious and I loved the cozy atmosphere.
Went for brunch. Limited selection for brunch but everything was well prepared, nicely seasoned, and fresh tasting.
Excellent weekend brunch in a great atmosphere. Come here quick because it hasn't been overrun by Ballard bloat for either brunch or weekday dinner! Great flavors, well executed plates.
The best place for breakfast / brunch in Ballard (arguably in the whole city!) I love this restaurant. They serve incredible food with a southern twist- biscuits! Grits! So yummy.
You order at the counter and they ll bring it out to the sun-filled table. Refillable coffee is self-serve. On summer days the windows will be wide open to enjoy the weather.
Made from scratch comfort food goodness. This is my go to restaurant when I'm in town. Thank you, Paul & Co.
Space was good for meeting up with people. Little on the pricier end with average serving sizes, food was delicious though!
