My Mom and I have been working hard to pack her up and move back home to Texas. We deserve a rest and a massage. This resort has a spa escape package that can t be beat. In combination with a coupon in the local paper for a BOGO meal, we had to rest here. We arrived for check in around 5:00 pm and used the free valet parking, with a tip is nice. We sat in front of the fireplace for cocktails before dinner in the main dining room. The next day was our appointment for a massage. You can use all the spa the day of your appointment, so we arrived at 11 and stayed to relax until around 3:30. They have great smoothies and snacks while you enjoy the spa in their robe and slippers. Go enjoy yourself.

We spent the day after Christmas in the quaint town of Pinehurst. We visited the Pinehurst hotel and enjoyed a nice lunch at the Ryder Cafe. The food was delicious. We were also around at 4 pm for complimentary tea and cookies in the lobby. The Christmas trees around the hotel were beautiful. The candy buildings were amazing to see. The details on the various buildings looked so real even though it was made with candy. The downtown area and Pinehurst hotel are really worth the effort to go see around Christmas.

I have been to Pinehurst #2 twice in the last three weeks leading up to the 2014 US Open. The first time was a Friday afternoon and it was extremely easy to get in and out. I was able to sit on the terrace of the clubhouse and watch golfers finish on the 18th green. The second time I went was during the Monday practice round prior to the US Open. It is safe to say that it was a much different experience. That said, both times I had a great time.

If you are a golf fan or you love to play golf I would strongly suggest heading to Pinehurst Resort and walking around golf course #2. There are some amazing plaques and statues around #2 as well.

Pinehurst Resort is truly a gem. Set in the Sandhills of NC and one of the premier golf meccas. The spa is beautiful and relaxing. The town of Pinehurst is just steps away from the resort with many resurtants, pubs and specialty shops. Enjoy a peaceful time in Pinehurst and step back in time, you can't go wrong here.

Group of 4 went down to play a couple of courses on an overnight trip. The service level provided at the main resort and clubhouse was mediocre at best. However, the service at the clubhouse at No. 7 was atrocious and the value of playing there was even worse. The "restaurant" was not open at all, the halfway house was almost completely out of both food and beer. There was no ranger and after a 2.5 hour front half due to not enforcing pace of play, we were forced to call in order to be able to finish our round before sunset. The next morning, we found that we weren't able to eat breakfast with our "bed and breakfast" package because we had the first tee time at No. 4 but breakfast didnt open until 1 hour prior. Overall, No. 4 was a great experience, but given the cost and terrible service we experienced, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for a golf package.

The resort grounds are magnificent, as are the holiday decorations throughout. My favorite were themed Christmas trees adorned with ornaments all adhering to themes of nature, e.g. Cardinals, owls, sunflowers, poinsettias. The restaurant was nice and the food was excellent.

Golf mecca, through and through. Anyone with the passion should come hear. Beautiful in Spring and early Summer. The town of Pinehurst is a cozy little village. Tons of great golf courses in town if you can't get on the storied #1 or #2 courses at the Resort.

Played #4 & absolutely loved it. Challenging off a handful off tee boxes, deep greenside bunkers and very slick undulating greens make this newly redesigned course a "Bucket List" experience. A word of advice, take a caddy, my favorite is Rocky, he has great knowledge of the courses here & picks up on your abilities allowing you to relax and enjoy everything Pinehurst has to offer, including the nearly impossible act of reading the greens!

Pinehurst No.7 Golf Course, rated 4-1/2 stars: Arranged in two out-and-back loops, Pinehurst No.7 is one of the most memorable golf courses in the North Carolina sandhills. In its rugged pine-forested setting, this big-dimension layout is blessed with many significant elevation changes. Rees Jones skilfully utilised these slopes and undulations to create an abundance of dramatic and breathtakingly beautiful golf holes.

We stayed in the Carolina Hotel which is beautiful. The rooms were very nice, wonderful marble bathrooms. Only meal we had there was the breakfast buffet. They had everything you could want, more fruit then I've ever seen at a buffet. Was a wonderful stay, I would definitely recommend it.

Experience the southern hospitality that guests have enjoyed here since 1895. A four-star spa and luxurious rooms make for a relaxing getaway. For golf fans, a trip to Pinehurst No. 2 is a must.

One of my favorite places to stay. The breakfast buffet is to die for....anything a southern boy could want for breakfast...grits and eggs, bacon and sausage, biscuits and gravy. A piano player accompanies breakfast after 8 am. The golf is enjoyable even if you play once a year.

The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are nice. There is a decent amount of quaint little shops and great proximity and access to golf courses. The spa is disappointing and needs to be better maintained. The floors around the pools look dirty and need a deep scrubbing. The robes are a little rough and I prefer a plush soft robe. I wouldn t come back but see how this resort would appeal to older clientele. I certainly wouldn t bring my kids, they d be bored in a matter of minutes.

Pinehurst Resort is 2 for 2! Brought my family form out of town to The Ryder Cup Lounge on Sat. 4/14 for dinner. Walked in ai 6:30 pm, a waitress had to ask the " mgr. " to seat us even though he saw us standing 15 ft. away !! Burgers were dry, sweet potato fries were not cooked, had to wait to long for our entrees. Sun. 4/15 my wife and sister and niece went to the Duece for lunch, the Fish tacos was cold, had to be sent back.... come on, as former members, I guess I made the correct decision, no place to go but up.

We were very disappointed with our recent trip to The Pinehurst Resort. We booked a reservation for an overnight stay with a couple s spa package and were not told that the men s side of the spa would be closed for renovation. We only learned this on the day of our arrival, when we received a phone call while in route to the spa. As a consolation, we were given 2 passes to use the spa facilities on another day of our choosing. #1, we live over an hour away, #2, IF we come back, it would be for another overnight stay with spa services, in which in case we'd get full use of the facilities anyway... so in effect, these passes are really of no benefit to us. Finding out the men's side was closed greatly altered our plans. Had we'd been told the men's side was closed at booking, we probably would not have booked the trip and with the late notice that we received, it was too late to cancel and schedule another overnight getaway. This is very poor customer service and definitely affected the enjoyment of our trip. Further, we reached out to the managers to express our disappointment with the customer service and received no reply whatsoever. UPDATE: I just received a call from the Spa Manager. Although it took 5 days to get a response, I will say that the Manager was very nice, very apologetic, and very sincerely acknowledged my concerns with how our trip was handled. Thank you.

If you're a golf enthusiast, then you've probably heard of Pinehurst Resort. Located in the heart of North Carolina, this historic resort has been dubbed "The Cradle of American Golf" for good reason. With nine world-class golf courses and a rich history dating back to 1895, Pinehurst is a golfer's paradise.

But don't let Course No. 2 overshadow some of Pinehurst's other gems – like Course No. 4 (designed by Tom Fazio) or Course No. 8 (a Jack Nicklaus signature design). Each course offers its own unique challenges and rewards.

Beyond golfing itself though lies an experience unlike any other - The Cradle short course which opened on September 30th ,2017 . This par-3 layout features holes ranging from just over fifty yards up to around one hundred yards long with greens varying between circular shapes , square shapes , rectangular shapes etc . It’s perfect for beginners looking to get into golf or experienced players who want something different .
