Beautiful hotel, great service and the food was delish!
it payne stewart's bronze image doesn't bring a tear to your eye you need to give up the game...
Hurricane Irma's furry didn't stop the excellent service and food while visiting!
Love to have lunch at the Ryder Cup! Great food and service.
just had a fabulous lunch at the "Deuce" restaurant at the PInehurst Country Club. The service was great the food was awesome and well the setting... second to none. Walking through the club you feel the history and the charm of what Pinehurst represents.
I am only speaking for the golf. IT IS SPECIAL! As soon as you walk onto the property it feels like you are professional and witnessing something special. All the practice facilities are immaculate with PRO-V1 practice balls and Scotty Cameron practice putters for your use. If anyone is in the area I would 100% recommend stopping here just to experience it.
Awesome courses, awesome staff! Southern hospitality to the max!
The golf was awesome, the food was well below par!
Top of the line doesn't get any better than this recommended highly
Pinehurst is a beautiful resort, full of history. It's a golfers paradise and it's perfect for anyone who loves the game. Take time to walk the properties and the courses, and stop by the new brewery for a great time. I can't wait to come back :)
Absolutely the best! Whether you going for R&R or for high class, this is the place. Imaculate!!!
Amazing service and food. We come every year for the Thanksgiving buffet and it is always amazing. Love the mini cheesecakes that you can customize with your own toppings. The holiday decorations are beautiful as well.
Courses looked great. Great lunch. State of North Carolina needs casinos and put one in Pinehurst. No night life for a guys trip. Other places are way better for the money. The bible belt No Gambling thing is a joke.
A perfect place to stay at for golf. They also have a wonderful spa.
We celebrated my wife's 70th birthday at the Carolina Hotel event room and it was the place to have a party. All eleven family members had a blast. The Christmas hotel decoration's were magnificent, and our 5 grand children were in delight.
Every amenity I can think of is offered here. Spa, taxi vans, swimming pool, wrap around porches with rocking chairs, convention rooms and banquet halls, 5* food, coffee shops, several restaurants, lounges, shopping village on premises, pga golf! I could go on!
Too many Blue haired people living a pretentious lifestyle.
Amazing resort with small cozy feel. Everyone you meet with greet you with a smile, most remember your name and make it feel like you are a VIP. Beautiful golf, relaxing spa, and delicious food at all the restaurants. Worth every penny!
Pretty interesting resort. The golf and hotel were great, granted I was assigned the worst caddie I ever had. I can't say I really have any complaints because the service was definitely good besides the caddie, but I think your experience here will depend on your personal preferences. As wonderful as the course and hotel were, I just didn't feel very comfortable in the environment. I'm young and didn't feel quite so welcome. Place is a little too far away from civilization and a little too "traditional." Felt like I was stuck in the 1930s. I'm new money and it seemed more like a place for old southern types. Definitely strongly prefer the alternatives and won't be back, but not because it's a bad place, just not my cup of tea.
The resort is a beautiful property. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can enjoy afternoon tea in the lobby. The food in the Carolina Dining Room is excellent and the choices at breakfast are endless. There are also other dining options on the property and the food and service are equally good. I travel there annually and it is one of the highlights of the year.
The home of American golf.
What else can be said? A golf paradise, show up and be enthralled from dawn till dusk with all this resort has to offer. Staff is always helpful, courteous and above all, unobtrusive. Make sure to have bring your flat stick and check out Thistle Dhu. Love this place. 10/10 must visit, annually
Beautiful place to get a French press coffee, add a hit of Baileys and enjoy on the porch on the sun
What an awesome layout of old history golf. The town has a great old time vibe with friendly locals and golf history that will keep your mind wandering
Very high end facility and service. Not a place to save a buck.
Played #9 and #2. Always a treat. Put it on your list.
I'm not a golfer yet the resort caters to all. Great hospitality!
One of my favorite places in the world for a golf vacation.
Historic resort, beautiful grounds great food great choices of activities. Beautiful views from the room rate amenities great shopping. Great staff. I was lucky enough to be there on a company related business trip and would gladly return.
Beautiful historic hotel. Great professional staff.
A two nite stay while we visited family in the immediate area. Stayed in the Villas (room 512) which I understand had recently been renovated. A very comfy, quite and tastefully decorated room. Parking was immediately adjacent to the room. Check in was quick and personal (Cullin, I believe was the staff person who assisted us.). Did not dine on the premises nor did we take advantage of any of the activities available. Not our first stay and for sure will be back when in the area.
I love this place. The Holly Inn is the best, in the bar ask for Erica at check-in Alberta is absolutely the best.
Very southern and genteel. Great hospitality. The cradle of American Golf.
For a shot of NC's glorious history where a gentile life style radiats it's evolution, add this destination to your bucket list! Highly recommend!
Amazing week long vacation. The golf was world class and the entire trip was the best. Found that the Donald Ross package which included hotel, food and golf made the vacation really affordable and such a treat
Would come back in a heart beat
Thanks to everyone at Pinehurst
Went here for the first time tonight, I'm a local. I absolutely loved it!
The Pinehurst Resort delivers world class service from the moment you come onto the property. The bell staff is professional, accommodating in every respect, and well aware of the responsibility placed on them as a guest's first impression of the resort. In the dining rooms, gracious service abounds. Excellent food, ranging form reasonable to expensive prices, but all delivering good value. There are a full range of accommodations available, courtesy transportation provided anywhere within the resort grounds as well as, of course, the finest golf experience available anywhere.
Amazing experience. Rooms were fair, but the resort as a whole was amazing.
Very historic hotel that is nicely decorated for Christmas.
Wonderful experience. Most employees were more than happy to help in any situation.
It is absolutely beautiful, the employees will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable and to enjoy your stay, your meal, your golfing, or whatever else. There is so much here, and the food is amazing!!
We love everything about the resort! The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and the grounds are beautiful!
Spent the morning at the spa. The services and amenities were exceptional. Staff was friendly and caring.
This us a beautiful historic resort where the staff will take care of you from the time you arrive until you leave.
Great Space ... Sarah lives playing golf at Pinehurst...
Very nice and very accommodating to our needs at the event.
A historic golfing resort, the Pinehurst offers very nice accommodations for anyone visiting the area. Beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms, good food, large pool and more made for a nice weekend stay.
Top notch, played course 1 and had a blast, the town is rich in history and tradition, certainly worth the visit
First time at a historic golf place like this. Was here for business completely unrelated to hold, so it wasn't as big of a hit with me as others. Peeing some extra pictures of the fitness center, which is located right next to the spa. Beers at the Ryder Cup were super expensive...
A bucket list trip for any golfer. Every course there is a challenge. The redesign on number 4 is a true test. Having played all the courses at the resort, no matter which one you like the best, Number 2 is a must replay. The Cradle is a blast. You can t beat the hospitality at the resort. No matter where you stay you are treated like family. Meals are great. Just a wonderful place to spend time at. Can t wait to return.
Great atmosphere and history. Breakfast is top notch. Shuttles run you all around the area to visit shops and restaurants at a moments notice.
It was nice, you could tell it was a old building though and that it needed some remodeling.
The staff has the personality of a brick wall. The only saving grace was the spa and the No2 course. But for a stay, the check in, the bellhop (none), the dining, the overall attitude, and the inability to reach any decision maker with your concerns, all lead me to say - SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO Kiawah, Sea Island , or numerous other resorts. Worst 5k I've ever spent. Really awful.
Terrific golf. All of the staff from the resort to the courses are awesome. Very helpful A+ hospitality
This five star rating is for manager James. Long story made short, James corrected a charge to the wrong card which tied up my wife's money. I didn't have to wait days for the money to come back on the card. I was rather blunt when communicating with James, and I appreciate manager James efforts to get the issue resolved. Manager James at Pinehurst resort will get the job done, thank you.
Amazing courses surpassed by there outstanding customer service.
Staff was friendly but the resort itself was a bit bourgeois and stuffy. If you are into that, it is a great place, but if not, you may want to look elsewhere.
Lovely place to visit even if you don't play golf. Food and ambiance are First Class.
Pinehurst Resort: The Cradle of American Golf
If you're a golf enthusiast, then you've probably heard of Pinehurst Resort. Located in the heart of North Carolina, this historic resort has been dubbed "The Cradle of American Golf" for good reason. With nine world-class golf courses and a rich history dating back to 1895, Pinehurst is a golfer's paradise.
But Pinehurst isn't just for golfers. The resort offers a wide range of activities and amenities that make it the perfect destination for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. From spa treatments to horseback riding to tennis and croquet, there's something for everyone at Pinehurst.
Accommodations at Pinehurst are equally impressive. Guests can choose from rooms in the historic Carolina Hotel or one of several villas scattered throughout the property. Each room is elegantly appointed with all the modern conveniences you'd expect from a luxury resort.
Of course, it's the golf that draws most visitors to Pinehurst. With nine courses designed by some of the biggest names in golf course architecture – including Donald Ross and Tom Fazio – there's no shortage of challenging holes and breathtaking views.
One course that stands out among them all is Course No. 2 – often referred to as "the masterpiece." Designed by Donald Ross in 1907 and restored by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in 2010-11, Course No. 2 has hosted more championships than any other course in America (including three U.S Opens). It's widely considered one of the best courses in the world.
But don't let Course No. 2 overshadow some of Pinehurst's other gems – like Course No. 4 (designed by Tom Fazio) or Course No. 8 (a Jack Nicklaus signature design). Each course offers its own unique challenges and rewards.
Beyond golfing itself though lies an experience unlike any other - The Cradle short course which opened on September 30th ,2017 . This par-3 layout features holes ranging from just over fifty yards up to around one hundred yards long with greens varying between circular shapes , square shapes , rectangular shapes etc . It’s perfect for beginners looking to get into golf or experienced players who want something different .
When it comes time to relax after your round(s), head over to The Spa at Pinehurst where you can indulge in everything from massages to facials to body treatments using locally sourced ingredients like pine needles and honeycomb .
And if you're feeling hungry after all that activity? You won't be disappointed with dining options available on site - whether it’s casual fare at The Deuce or fine dining at Carolina Dining Room .
In conclusion,Pinehurt Resort is truly an exceptional destination offering unparalleled experiences both on & off-course . Whether you’re looking for championship-level play or simply seeking relaxation amidst beautiful surroundings , this resort has everything needed for an unforgettable vacation . So why wait? Book your stay today!
