We were very disappointed with our recent trip to The Pinehurst Resort. We booked a reservation for an overnight stay with a couple s spa package and were not told that the men s side of the spa would be closed for renovation. We only learned this on the day of our arrival, when we received a phone call while in route to the spa. As a consolation, we were given 2 passes to use the spa facilities on another day of our choosing. #1, we live over an hour away, #2, IF we come back, it would be for another overnight stay with spa services, in which in case we'd get full use of the facilities anyway... so in effect, these passes are really of no benefit to us. Finding out the men's side was closed greatly altered our plans. Had we'd been told the men's side was closed at booking, we probably would not have booked the trip and with the late notice that we received, it was too late to cancel and schedule another overnight getaway. This is very poor customer service and definitely affected the enjoyment of our trip. Further, we reached out to the managers to express our disappointment with the customer service and received no reply whatsoever. UPDATE: I just received a call from the Spa Manager. Although it took 5 days to get a response, I will say that the Manager was very nice, very apologetic, and very sincerely acknowledged my concerns with how our trip was handled. Thank you.
