A taxis from asda Cramlington to dudley that would normally cost around 6.00 with another firm cost me 10.10 with phenoix. I will never use this company again absolute rip off!
Disgusting treatment..had a good experience up to now, but never again..booked a taxi for 1755 as we had to make a restaurant before 1830..no taxi arrived by 1810. Called the operator who said it would be there shortly, no apology or time estimate. Then got told it would be 2 minutes. Rang again and was told it would be 1 minute. Told the operator it ruined our night and we'd had no apology. Still no apology and got told she wouldn't worry if I said anything on Facebook. Taxi arrived 25 minutes late, still no apology and the driver didn't say anything to us, not even an acknowledgement. Driver then slowed down to the point where he was below the speed limit for the entire journey, not even on it. We will never use this company again and we're considering awarding it our daily work contract. Despite the disgraceful experience, we didn't actually let it ruin our night and had a nice evening.
Never really had much of a problem some are nice some are not but today had a terrible experience the taxi drive seen me struggling never offered to help I asked when I got on if card was okay he said yes then got home and he gave me the card machine then he accident cancelled it so he started huffing and puffing to then he started having ago at me as if it was my fault asked me 4 times if I had cash in the house to I replied no and tried to say again it was my fault and I said to him I asked you before we left if card was okay so he had to ring the office twice to then i had to pay over phone. But i was disgusted by how he treated me i ended up crying because he was so horrible because of a fault of his. My partner rang to complain but didnt seem bothered not even an apology
I was charging at a charge point in blyth and went away to do some shopping, when I returned there was a black nissan leaf reg nj68kdx parked next to me. When I looked he had decided to stop my car and charge his, I didn't realise phoenix taxis owned public chargers. Yes the charger I used was the free charger (there was no other cars when I got there)but there is another 2 chargers in that same car park that aren't free which I have used when the free charger isn't available. But I guess phoenix taxis like to charge full price for fares but get the electric free!
Really friendly, helpful, prompt with great communication, down to earth drivers, new, clean cars. Use them for business every week and can't fault them!
Booked my taxi 12+ hours in advance and it was nearly 20 minutes late. Missed my train. Ridiculous.
Booked online it said 8mins. No show. I rang. The lady was not very polite and said there is no car in the area so I don't know how long.
Then she cancelled it without me asking too!
Absolutely disgraceful, said they had sent a taxi when they had not. Checked my CCTV and low and behold no taxi had been. Staff most unhelpful and a nonchalant attitude.

Booked well in advance that evening for 11.15pm. Taxi no show, operator assured me it would be with us in around 2 mins (c. 11.30pm), called again, thought it should be with us around 11.45pm but couldn't check with driver as too busy!
Despite being more expensive, i've always used Phoenix as they were reliable. After the lip service tonight, no more. Phoenix back to the ashes ... too big to care!
Had 2 very bad experiences with Phoenix. Thought we would give them another go after the first occasion but after last night will not be using again. Absolutely appalling customer service. Not only did they get the times of our taxis wrong, we ended up being charged double what we were promised and the people who we spoke to when trying to deal with it were shocking and did not seem interested in the slightest. Like I said will not be using again and would not recommend them to anyone
Worst company ever, was made to wait 50mins when they said they would be 15mins. Phoned up 4 times to be told it was round the corner, obviously just a lie. Absolutely ridiculous. Will not be booking through these again.
Got in the taxi Morpeth to bedlington, the driver took the longest route possible. Also midway through she started texting while driving. She also didn't even know where she was going and still charged us for the whole thing. Terrible service.
Very expensive. Don't trust the estimates on their App and if you do use them phone up for a fixed price as some drivers seem to expect it's the customers responsibility to know the cheapest routes.
I ve had two bad experiences with Phoenix Taxis this week.
Firstly, despite marketing themselves as being open 24/7, 365 days a year I tried to book a taxi between 3:30am and 4am, and they said they weren t able to pick me up till after 7am. If there aren t any taxis available for over three hours, it is misleading to market the company with the statements like, Our office is always open and we always offer taxis for immediate dispatch .
Secondly, I booked a taxi a few days later, to attend a doctors appointment. I booked it about an hour in advance of when I required the driver to pick me up. The taxi turned up over fifteen minutes late. Despite making sure when booking there was actually over double the journey time between when the taxi was to arrive, and when my appointment started, due to their delay in arriving, I was late to my doctors appointment.
I will not be using Phoenix Taxis again.

Got a taxi last night from Cramlington to Northumbria university then from civic centre to Cramlington, on both occasions taxi drivers were lovely, even with very hyper kids in back. On time and kept up to date with texts that taxi was on its way.
Will deffinetly be using this company for any futer taxi journeys.

Driver 137 (mark) was a great driver. Knows his business especially around morpeth. Very friendly and reasonable prices as well.
I got the 808 bus to otteburn,I had no phone battery and I got off at the wrong spot. The driver who was out of service gave, me a lift when I was walking towards elsdon which was miles away.
The driver was really polite and professional.

No show - after booking a taxi to pick up myself and three others, taxi simply didn't show up. When I called, they simply said they they don't go that far north. Well don't take the booking in the first place! You had my phone number and could have called to cancel, rather than just not showing up.
I have lived in cramlington for 10yrs and have always used Phoenix. They have always been reliable friendly and help full to me and my family. After a family get together this easter weekend my daughter was returning home to Byker in Newcastle. Her driver asked her why was she using Phoenix as its a Blyth based company and as they use electic cars the distance can cause a problem on the return journey. She told him we have never used any other and that when I ring they know my name. I dont really want to use any other firm as Phoenix have never ever let me down. Yeah they might have been a few minutes late but thats ok. So do I change companies or just get the bus. Thanks Phoenix
I have used Phoenix's 51 seat coach for the last 3yrs to take my Association on its winter and summer day outings. I have always found the firm very accomodating in planning and costing the trip in order that it will be a success. The drivers are courteous and professional. I have no problem in recommending this company for others to use.
Another exceptional day was had by us yesterday (Wed. 6/6/18) when we
had our trip to Keswick which included a comfort break at Brampton.

Pre-booked a taxi from Blyth to Gateshead. 20 minutes we waited for our taxi to turn up, despite the office saying the driver was just around the corner and "didn't know the area very well"
Turns out he does know the area very well, so the office lied entirely.
To make matters worse, a family member called and got a taxi within 5 minutes, but our pre-booked taxi didn't turn up for 20 minutes???!
The office then asked the driver to take cash upfront from us...
Disgusting.
Just catch the bus. Its quicker and easier. The app is an absolute shambles and the operators lie when you ask for an update.
Booked a 8 seater (said for 7 people) sent a 6 seater 20 minutes late had to stand with my parents 70+ not in good health whilst waiting for another taxi to arrive after sending the other people home
Tried to ring at 9am this morning. On hold in a "queue" for 35 minutes before I gave up with no answer.
Absolutely shocking service the mini bus was supposed to collect us from tynemouth at midnight and did not turn up till 1 am. After constant phone calls to the office kept being told only ten minutes this went on for 1 hour absolutely disgraceful service. I don't know how this company actually stays in business treating the customers this way. I will never book a Phoenix taxi or mini bus again. Totally appalled at this service.
Booked a taxi from wide open to Cramlington but the taxi turned up at ashington. Apparently they don t cover the area so I couldn t book another taxi and had to get another company to get home.
Absolute disgusting service.pre booked a wheelchair accessible car for 7.30pm and return for 10.45pm.car arrived 7.40pm to take us to venue.for return i waited outside in the rain at 10.45pm with my disabled partner.recieved a txt to confirm taxi was on way..11.05pm i rang to ask where it was,to be told it wasnt coming...it was now horrendous rain!!! Desk clerk said only wheelchair car was at Newcastle and i could wait till it got back to Blyth...approx 30 mins...at this point the venue was closing,the rain was bouncing off the ground and my disabled partner was soaked through!!! I put my coat over him and walked home!!! The office was aware that a wheelchair booking was in place for 10.45 but basically left us to walk home in the rain...absolute disgrace to treat disabled ppl like this...
Used to get home to school transport off Phoenix. The driver was nearly always late and I was frequently late for school. Complained and nothing was done about it. So pleased they lost the contract
Booked through the app, turned up 15 minutes late! Missed an appointment. This is the second incident when I ve booked a taxi and i ve Struggled to make an appointment because they are never on time!
Would not recommend this taxis firm to my worst enemy. The dispatchers need a lesson in how to operate the system. They left my disabled husband to stand out in the cold on one of the worst coldest days of the year. This is not the first time this has happened. Thank goodness they did not renew the contract with Nexus. The drivers are not to blame it's the dispatchers. I hope they can sleep at night.
Usually a good service reasonably priced. But there appears to have been an increase in prices, you are now more expensive than Newcastle airports own taxi service.
I use Phoenix taxis to get to the airport from home regularly for work.
May I ask why the huge increase in price? This puts you as costing more than the airport's own taxi service by quite some margin, and quite obviously will push my business elsewhere if this is indeed the case.

Phoned up for a taxi, the office staff had great difficultly getting my postcode into the system correctly. To be fair, the taxi arrived quickly considering it was not pre booked. The driver was quite miserable and didn't make hardly any conversation during the journey and went on a strange route, which obviously was to bump up the price
Disgusting service. I booked a 6 seater cab on the Morning of my Daughters Engagement party in Blyth for the return journey back to Ashington. The taxi did not turn up on time and after several calls to the cab office we were fobbed off with lies stating the cab was only 2 minutes away. One of our party was 5 months pregnant and this was explained to the booking office who just fobbed us off stating it was almost there. We waited 35 minutes outside the venue in the cold. I do not blame the driver who was very apologetic. The fault lies with the booking office. I will never use Phonix taxi's again and would recommend others to think twice before using this sub standard service.
Booked a wheelchair taxi to take my husband to cramlington. Driver was on time and nothing was too much trouble for him, we got to cramlington and had a wheelchair taxi booked for a return. Driver refused to take us saying our wheelchair wasn't safe, he was extremely rude and left us stranded in cramlington he told us to ring the office who weren't any help and agreed with the driver. We had to get another firm to take us home. Never using this firm again they are a joke.
Used them on more than one occasion where the driver has not turned up or was late. Excuses are always there but never an apology. Don t trust them. Customer service is non existent.
Poor service late 3 times out of 4 times we use them and I mean late 30 mins or fogotten booking, No apology at all - not very sociable drivers (Grumpy !! if you dont want to do the job find another job).
Late, leaving a 16year old waiting for 30mins for her taxi home. Obviously I ensured she was safe, but they didnt.

Couldn't organise a p**s up in a brewery. Ordered a taxi from near Morpeth to Morpeth station two hours in advance (mid afternoon so not like it was the first or last train) leaving plenty of time to get there. They left it until 5 minutes before the time I'd ordered it for to dispatch the taxi, all the way from Ashington. The driver was a star and managed to get me there just in time for me train but when I challenged them on timing the booking office used 'self employed drivers' as an excuse when it seems to be a simple case of booking office incompetence.
I'd be very wary of using these on an advance-only ticket!!
Booked taxl for 22.30 shows up at 22.45 complained to driver said do you want the taxi or not !!
Only used them a couple of times there on time and no hassles.
Driver was friendly. Expert Service. Vehicles are modern. Got an upgrade from a car which I booked to a 8 seater minivan. I would recommend it.
Used this company for 2 different Christmas parties. 1 gave the excuse of the bus breaking down making us over an hour late. The most recent was going to our venue but said he was unable to take the bus any further (wagons etc had used previously). Everyone had to walk over a mile each way in the dark (ladies in heels). Absolutely disgusting. Will never use or recommend again.

Got the automated service which said the taxi would be there "shortly".
Phoned back and was told that it would be 45 minutes.
Maybe the automated service needs improvement. Had I not phoned back I would have missed my train.

I am unimpressed with your reliability. I booked a taxi through your website this afternoon. when it was due no one showed up. So I had to call a more reliable firm and it took me an hour to get home instead of a few minutes.
Booked a taxi to pick my daughter up at 8.30 at night. Was told at 8.35 that the taxi was 2 mins away. 17 mins later still no taxi. Rang up and given more excuses. NEVER using this bunch of cowboys again.

Thanks Phoenix Taxis for the superb service today! We pre-booked a trip from Blyth to Eshott Hall and the whole experience was perfect from start to finish. Our driver was Steve in car 1124 - plate ending DJY and we were very impressed. Perfect timing and useful text alerts - Steve was also very professional! Taxi companies have to coordinate a lot of journeys and I would not have minded being late, but the taxi arrived within one minute of schedule. Payment via a card machine in the Taxi was really helpful too! Thanks Phoenix - you were great!
An hour late at 2am, left out side freezing cold, charged full price for the privilege. Unreliable taxi companies are the worst.

Booked 2 x 25 seater executive coaches for our wedding (months ahead). 1 x 35 seat and a mini bus turned up. Got lost on the way to the venue, tried to turn around in a farm and pulled a wall down in the process. Didn't fit into the venue when it arrived and ended up dropping the passengers at the end of the lane to the venue in the rain. Called the office afterwards and was told they don't even have two 25 seat mini coaches and that what we got "was equivalent to what we booked". We don't agree, but they weren't interested. Not impressed.

In the past 2 weeks.... me and my autistic son have used this service and got the same taxi driver. I believe he is from Turkey and he is such a delight to talk to. My son just told me his best part of today was the taxi drive home. I forgot to ask for his name and i hope this gets back to him. He's the first to get a high five of my son T.J and that is a big thing for us! What an absolute gem! Thank you whoever you are! We hope to see you soon!

Booked the taxi on the app which was late so I rang the office, Vicki said it would be 5 minutes and at to this time it was already 10 minutes late, 20 minutes later I rang again, Vicki said it was on it s way and claimed I had changed location which I hadn t and I have pictures to prove this, she also claimed it wasn t her who I spoke to previously which it clearly was her as we rang to confirm her name later on. She came across very rude and tried to blame us for the whole situation, I would not book again simply because of her. Terrible customer service
Shocking service. First sent a taxi for 4 when we had booked a taxi for 6! Then needed to
call 5 times to find out where our taxi was? The control staff continually lied stating the taxi was near by.Even said taxi had been but no one there!!!While we stood in the rain.
