Wonderful place to bring the kids the ride on the bus is a little bumpy so if you have back problems or a little older I wouldn't suggest this for you or if your child the special needs and can't stand a lot of jarring this definitely is not for them but other than that I had lots of fun I came as a kid and now I got to bring my kids definitely a fun family day you get to see lots of unique animals you normally would not get to see

I love this place! Often the animals are too far away from the bus to see very well, but you see different stuff every time you go and the guides are terrific. It's a long drive down narrow roads to get there, but you do get that safari feel.

Everyone is so nice, it's beautiful there and we learned and saw so much. I locked my keys in the truck and the security dept worked on unlocking the door for 45 minutes. They never gave up, great guys!!

If I could afford it

We took the family here Friday for the 10 Am safari, our guide was Molly and she was great. This place is awesome My kids are 10 and 14 and they loved it as did my husband and I . It was great to see all the animals everyone was so nice. Our guide Molly was very nice and knowledgeable about everything. I just Wish it wasn t so hot so that maybe the camels and the zebra would have been a little closer for us to see. The only thing i would Like to see change is more time at the two stops. You definitely need more than 15 minutes at the birds and the fish especially with the Hill you have to walk up and to to see the fish. 15 more minutes at this stop would make it much better. Also you need another 15 minutes at the carnivores. If they added and extra half hour to the safari so you could get 15 more minutes at each stop, it would make it perfect. But in all I would Recommend this tour.

It is so absolutely beautiful here. Our visit brought us to another land entirely, despite the map s insistence that we were still in Ohio. Tour guides are knowledgeable and fun, and there are a lot of animals. We didn t get as close to them as I would have liked, on the bus tour, but there are other tours with closer encounters. If you re going to make the trip, it would be worth it to spring for the closer encounter. Also, I m a Cleveland zoo pass holder, and they offered a discount with that. Very helpful.

An amazing experience we won't soon forget. As our own tour started I worried we'd be seeing animals from great distances but in reality, we got some amazing up close encounters! HIGHLY recommend!!

Very beautiful place! None of the animals have low energy like the zoo. You can tell they really enjoy there habitat, and they're just as curious about you as you are of them. It was very fun and the tour guides are very knowledgeable. The views are breathtaking. Love it, I will always recommend this place time and time again.

I love seeing the animals especially the new baby giraffe. I did not realize you could reserve safari times ahead. We did have to wait 2 hours for the next available tour. Otherwise it was a great trip

This was my first open air safari ride experience. The staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy what they do. Our guide was extremely informative and upbeat. This was very refreshing seeing animals in an environment more natural as compared to a typical zoo setting. We are glad we visited The Wilds!

Our family went to the Wilds for the first time on July 4th for the Zipline Safari tour. It was hot but AMAZING!!!! Jake and Sophia were our guides and did a great job. Jake is one of the best zipline guides we have ever encountered. He is highly knowledgeable about ziplining and about the Wilds and its animals. He is very safety conscious but is very funny and makes your experience one that you'll always remember. We are telling everyone about our fantastic experience at the Wilds and when they make their reservations, ask for Jake to be their guide. You'll have the time of your life. Thanks again for an outstanding day!!!!

Awesome place my wife and I have been twice now both great experiences. First time we did the regular safari which is a great time. The next time we did the upgraded more personalized experience we got to feed giraffes and had an awesome time up close with alot of interesting animals. If you are an animal lover it's just great to see animals with little restrictions and tons of room to run. Tours are over 2 hrs worth the money in my honest opinion. Next time we are going to stay at the lodge give that a try.

We love this place. We go several times a year since we buy the membership. It can get a little pricey otherwise but it's completely worth the experience to do it at least once. The views are amazing and the animal experiences are different every time you go.

If you have not been thee it is amazing you get to learn so much and see beautiful ani.als and the staff are so willing answer any questions you might have. If you have time I recommend the wild side get to feed alot of the critters!

Recently visited, and went on the open bus Safari. Fortunately there was a Groupon discount of $10 per person which soften the $30 per person cost. In total the tour was a little over two hours which can be broken down to two stops along the way that they give you a whopping 15 minutes to explore at each stop. The rest is just traveling the countryside and going through Gates. It is a pretty cool thing to see however for the money being paid per person 15 minutes at two major stops is not satisfactory to me. Great tour guide though was able to provide a lot of information and again overall it's a good family experience and quality time. They do have other options for the Safari tours at a much higher price if you choose that but will give you more of a personalized experience. Perhaps someday I'll give that a shot but what I have experienced thus far I don't believe that I will spend that kind of money for that specialized experience.

It's a great place to come and relax! Our driver Cassy was fun, full of laughter and made our tour eventful! The little ones have a lot to do to keep them busy while waiting on the next tour bus to come. All the staff was friendly! Cassy won me over!

The Wilds is an amazing place to visit if you are an animal lover. Almost all of the animals that live there are endangered, and you get to see them not in cages, but in open pastures. You will quickly forget that you are in Ohio, and feel like you are on safari in Africa. We stayed overnight in one of the beautiful yurts. This is not like camping at all! I recommend that you take one of the specialty tours to get a truly special experience. We took a Wildside tour and had the chance to feed giraffes and rhinoceroses and get a complete education about the park and all of the animal and plant life in it. I only wish that we could have stayed longer!

We stayed at the yurts for my friend's mini-bachelorette and had a wonderful time. Lois was so nice, and the food was amazing. We LOVED how nice the yurt and bathroom were, and despite it being a heat wave, we were super comfortable in the basic yurt with the portable AC. I had to schedule a Wildside tour because open airs weren't open due to COVID-19 when I initially scheduled. They were back open when we arrived, and they let us go on an open air tour for free, in addition to the Wildside. We loved the Wildside tour and got to feed the giraffes. The deck and fire pit where you can watch the sunrise and sunset was nice as well.

We did the open air safari and had a blast! It was a 2 1/2 hour tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny. It was so nice to see and learn about the animals while they were roaming around instead of being in cages. The road on the tour is pretty bumpy so be prepared but the overall experience was wonderful.

My family had a great time here. It was definitely worth the money. I was a bit worried when we had an older gentleman as our driver and tour guide, but he ended up being the best one for sure. They're all very knowledgeable and take time to answer all your questions. Very safe as well. It's so cool that the animals can just come right up to your bus. I was pecked at by two different ostriches and that made for some cool and funny memories. Will definitely go back.

I have been to The Wilds 3 times (last year) and I will be going for my 4th time this coming week. My 4 year old is completely obsessed with animals so we decided to give The Wilds a try last year. We thought for the price of the Open Air Safari (the ONLY way to go in my opinion!!) $30 per person we might as well get the membership. We buy the Family Plus (which includes the 4 of us and 2 guests each time). This is WELL WORTH the money, especially if you plan to go more than once each year. Each of the 3 times that I have been to the Wilds so far we have had a slightly different experience (seen a different animal up close and personal). One time it was the baby camel...so cute!! Another time the giraffes were very far away but the next time they were up close and personal, watched them eating the leaves off the trees right by the truck. Another thing I like about the tours are the guides who drive are very friendly and knowledgeable and tell lots of interesting facts about the animals. My son may be giving them a run for their money this time (since it will be his 4th time there...haha!) We also like the 2 stops that are planned into the tour...first one is a stop at the Lake where you get to walk down a path to the lake and feed the fish. This year I read that there is an aviary where you can feed birds as well. The 2nd stop is at the Carnivore Center where you see the African Wild Dogs (NOT hyenas as some other lady said!!), the Cheetahs and the Dholes. This is a fun stop b/c there is a large (shaded) snack bar with plenty of seating and a lot of area to walk around and check out these beautiful animals. Yes, I will admit the cheetahs pretty much just lounge around in the sun/shade and part of me wishes they would put a rabbit in the enclosure and let the cheetahs (and us!) have some fun! haha! But seriously, this is a wonderful place that focuses on Conservation of endangered species and we will keep going back again and again! Each time we go we try to take someone new with us. Oh, my recommendation would be to try to go on the first tour of the morning (10am) b/c it is usually cooler at that time and we've had good luck at that time of day with seeing lots of the animals...up close and personal most of the time. The huge rhino came right up next to the truck and we could have touched him (but you're not allowed obviously!!) Check out The Wilds...I hope you love it as much as we do! What a treasure to have in Ohio!

Love the Wilds!

Be sure to bring cash with you on the open air safari tours if you want to feed the birds or fish!

Wow! Where do I begin? The place is amazing! It is a must see on a visit to central Ohio. The staff is great and the tour was amazing. The only draw back is cell service can be spotty otherwise this was an amazing experience!

We had an amazing time here. The bus ride was bumpy. The driver is also a tour guide and ours did a wonderful job of telling us about the animals. It can be very sunny on the ride. The bus would stop to get good views of the animals, all animals on the ride part are herbivores. There is a carnivore house that is a self guided tour. The carnivore house is also a place to eat, they do offer donatos pizza here. The main dining facility is the standard park food and located at the entrance. The tour takes about two hours. Other things offered (some age restrictive) include night tours, over night camping, zipline tour, and a smaller truck ride tour. It was a day well spent and we had a great time.
