This is my second time buying from Pearson Mazda in the last 1.5 years. My first salesperson was matt and he had a ridiculous amount of patience as I test drove 5-6 cars. I told him my budget and he pulled options that met my needs and more. This week, I went in on monday letting Scott know that I needed to get a vehicle quickly. ( I had been in an accident and insurance was going to stop paying for my rental on the ninth) Scott gave me his card and told me to call him when I was ready. I called Scott at about 8 am on Tuesday morning and said that I would be there in 10 minutes. When I got there, scott already had three cars that met the criteria that I had asked of him from our brief meeting on the prior day. After driving one of his picks ( all three were the same model) my wife and I weren t really enthused about the vehicle. I found another car within our budget on the dealership website that was a little bigger and asked Scott if it was available. It was!! This is rather uncommon at dealerships that I have been to in the area. Usually you see cars on the website and when you get there it either isn t there, never existed, or has to be shipped from another location. Not here though. He asked me the stock number, located the vehicle, and My wife and I were test driving it within minutes. We loved the vehicle ( mazda 6 touring 2016) from the moment we hopped in it. After our little stroll around the block, my wife and I let Scott know that we would be purchasing this vehicle. We filled out the required paperwork and then waited for the finance manager JC. When we entered the office I was expecting a hard sell and scare tactic on all the upgrades we would need in order to make sure that our investment would be protected . This is not what we got at all. JC took a consultative approach. He informed us of our options, explained the benefits, and let us choose what was best for us without being pushy. There was no badgering to figure out what we wanted our monthly payment to be then convincing us that a longer term loan wasn t a bad thing because of the monthly payment already being budgeted . We told Jc that we would only be doing 60 months. ( would prefer a shorter term, but we decided beforehand that 60 would be best for us right now if the we got what we wanted and stayed withing our pre-set out of the door price budget). Jc didn t play any games with us. He told us our out of door price before we told him how much we would be putting up for a down payment. I have had a different experience with a different dealership in the past. It was mainly my fault for focusing on the wrong things, but lets just say I ended up paying 6k more for a car than I should have because I was so focused on interest rate that I didn t pay enough attention to the out of door price. Essentially, we were looking for the lowest interest rate possible. The salesperson asked how much we were gonna put down. We told him 6k and they came back with a 0 percent interest rate. I was so pleased with myself for getting a win on the interest rate that I didn t realize until I got home that we paid 25k for a 17k car. Instead of financing 11k plus tax, we financed 19k. Anyway, Pearson Mazda is honest and looking out for your best interests. I would recommend them to anyone.
