Built a system using their web interface, ran perfectly testing all my custom options (over days of indecision)
Ordered the system, was built in 2 days and ready for pick up. Picked it up, having travelled from Northside and despite them coming off a busy period were happy to demo it (rather than me get home and find it not working).
This is about the 4th system I've gotten from them and the whole process the same.
They do need to fix their alert system, the 'parts gathered' triggered an SMS saying it was ready for pickup, seemed impracticle the system was built in 2 hrs, an email prior to that said parts gathered and another email would inform me when complete. I went with the email (just a warning for all, if in doubt, call).

Despite the heavy negative reviews online, I decided to take it with a grain of salt and go with it. I ordered an Asus MX299Q monitor from the site on Sunday evening and was pleasantly surprised with my monitor on Tuesday morning despite being in another state. So all in all, take the negative reviews with a grain of salt as it seems that people won't usually post a good review even if they have had all positive experiences.

It's not required to explain but worst computer sales team I have ever seen; not just once but multiple times. I have no intention to go there again. I hope the owners of this business see these comments and review and have a mystery shopper goes around to see the attitude of sales staff.

Son saw a system offer by them quite suit his needs and budge and planned to get that next week, looks like he should try elsewhere from the comments.

Its a shame that Computer Alliance never came out and say something to rebut any of these bad comments so I could only take that as they were all true.

Thanks guys, I will now get my son to look elsewhere to save any possible problems dealing with them.

Some great deals on the newsletter so keep a watch on things (NAS + components) have bought many from them.

Customer service is par for the course though make sure you call up after checking online just to make sure its available, have had 3-4 instances where online vs actual stocks differ.

Prices are competitive but as with all these stores its worth going to the store for pickup when possible to save more, but call before hand.

Not sure about honoring warranties and technical knowledge as far as some of the comments on here.

A bit Too busy. They need to have a counter where if you already have the product you want or you want only a few things and not an entire computer then you can be quickly processed. I just wanted 1 item and ended up changing it for another, it took the guy about 5 mins to complete my sale but I stood in line for about 20mins. Otherwise this place is fairly good, always open and has better prices than everyone else as well as friendly customer service and a decent amount of staff to assist you with your purchase. Overall this is a good store, just wish I didn't have to spend so long lining up for 1 item. The store does have click and collect but even that is slow and I wasn't entirely sure if I wanted the item I had chosen until I could confirm with a tech/sale guy.

So here is the situation
Bad for service not only that you pay them to do something get my PC back not fixed still charged me 45 dollars. Now i have to go back there and send a complain and a report. I find it ridiculous how hard is it to fix a motherboard not recognizing a graphics card. Not only that they said all they had to do was UPDATE THE BIOS. still not fixed so an alternate route is to go to Umart just down the road of garden city. Much better customer service and i doubt they will charge you $45 for UPDATING THE BIOS

I used PC Part Picker to identify Computer Alliance was the most well stocked and affordable Australian provider to ship $5000 of parts so I could build my own custom PC from the ground up. They even reviewed my build to ensure all parts were compatible, which resulted in some smart tweaks.

Another brilliant addition is their IM service via FB, it allowed same day and sometimes live chat with their staff to ask questions and prep my order. My package was tracked and arrived safely 1 week from ordering (QLD to VIC) during the peak of postal delays due to the pandemic.

I commenced my first ever PC build, completing it in less than 8 hours. It turned on first try with 0 issues. It currently holds the 9th position in the world on User Benchmarks for identical PC builds. Overall the system and my experience with Computer Alliance was flawless. I highly recommend them!

I called up for some information and the sales staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. I was asked to hold but before I could even blink the phone was on hold.. then when they answered (finally) they were even ruder!!! I tried to pronounce a computer brand name and apparently it was incorrect and I should of known before I called....then when I began to read out the model number half way through he told me "no we don't got 'em- bye." not even no sorry we cannot get them or at least waited for me to finish reading out the code..... a little more customer service training would go a long way....ugh just rude!

When I called to enquire if they would price match the service I got was poor. The salesperson wasn't helpful with the questions I had about the ultrawide monitor I was looking to buy and told me that they do not price match. In store the service was great though, the sales person was very helpful and they did indeed match the price from another store.

4 times I have been there 3 times no one served me. Waiting and waiting then speaking to a receptionist about the poor service who seemed shocked about such a thing. Here is a thought, less time spend looking onto the computer and talking to staff and more time seeing what is happening in the store. This is also extended towards others in the office like cubical and/ or over the phone... All they do is look at you...Guess What??? Potential customer looking to purchase a whole new office based equipment just went elsewhere.... Not will I never go to the store, I will never recommend it... NOT EVEN WORTH THE ONE STAR

They're great provided you don't have any issues with their products. My headset stopped working 11 months after purchase (warranty is for 2 years) so I took it in to be looked at. At handover, they were unsure whether a new one should be issued to me or whether they should repair it and asked that I leave it with them. I was advised that I will not receive a substitute headset for the meantime and they have 2 weeks to repair/replace it. I need a headset for skype meetings so I called back a few days later to see how they were going with it. They advised that it is still in queue to be looked at and were unable to give me any broad timelines for inspection let alone a repair/replacement. After urging that I needed the headset back (or any headset) by the follow afternoon for an important skype meeting, the staff member simply said nothing.

The funny thing, Computer Alliance is 30min away from my house. I was just too busy to go there personally. So I ordered online instead and I absolutely regret that.

Having attempted to order a similar part from another provider unsuccessfully, I turned to Computer Alliance too see what they could do. Computer Alliance had my order sorted within 5 minutes. Pickup was a breeze and the staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely go straight to Computer Alliance in future!

great to deal with, they were very clear and knowledgeable when communicating back and forth via messaging, and when talking over the phone. i placed my order online very late monday night, more like early tuesday morning and it was delivered to me in my hands on thursday around lunch time, when the expected delivery date was by monday the following week, so i was very glad to get it that fast. great competitive prices and a huge product range. shipping prices were also incredibly cheap even when buying many items at a time in the same transaction. would definitely recommend and deal with again and again, especially if you are living in the brisbane or south east queensland region.

Very disappointed in their support. No attempt was made to actually provide more information on a faulty video card I took in to prove that there wasn't an issue with the card, despite all my testing that concludes otherwise. My only options were to pay for them to take it back, take it back as it was an accept there's no fault or have it sent to the manufacturer and be without it for weeks. I asked for them to show me proof that the video card performs as expected for that type in the form of some kind of public, comparative way such as with 3DMark as I had used to perform most of my testing and was told they don't have that and no further information provided. I provided as much of the support as I could from my testing to get specific localised testing to those particular issues but it feels like they just tested to see if it ran (which it does) and therefore all is well.

I bought a majority of my current computer from here and always supported Computer Alliance as a local business and under the assumption that their highly touted support will be there if needed but now I can see that it's all for nothing when it comes to the crunch and you may as well just go with the cheapest option and deal with the manufacturer directly. I won't be coming back as long as I can help it.

If you actually want to provide support to your customers, try and use the information they provided to run specific tests, and don't just take that information and do nothing with it.

Good access, polite, helpful and friendly staff. No one is perfect. These guys could sharpen their game price wize but having shoped there before I will no doubt shop their again. The range of products I saw on the shelves were more run of the mill boring oldish stuff. I saw nothing new and exciting! For example I had wanted to buy a new router but nothing had multiple VDSL ports and Gigibit Lan and they all had outdated ADSL modems included. Their web site is a little better stocked. I expect a specilist store not to resemble an expensive K-Mart.

Bought a Gaming Desktop from the brand MSI Infinite A 8RC and they delivered one day before, everything was all good the desktop has been packaged to survive long haul deliveries with foams and padded exterior and its super fast. I will never do business with this company again. For years I've been mucked around with a warranty claim. Months and months would pass without a response from them and when I did get a response, things would just go around in circles and they made things very difficult. I definitely can't recommend this company.

Purchased a $2000+ laptop as a work computer. Within 7 months had issues with the device's battery life and trackpad, the battery only lasting 1.5 hours on a full charge and the track pad ghost clicking constantly deeming it not usable. As a travel a lot for work, i returned the laptop making a point of it being my work computer which is the basis of my income. After being in and out of the store for 4 weeks the trackpad is still not repaired, instead being told that the way I was using the computer was the reason the track pad was "over sensitive". I had obviously used the machine for months without an issue prior.

I have again taken the laptop back as they were unable to order the trackpad until new years day and I have work that must be completed for clients in the meantime. I was informed the reason the trackpad was not ordered throughout the duration of the laptop's time in the store was because I missed a phone call while spending a few days on holiday. This apparently results in the closure of the job and they perform no further work on the machine. This of course confused me, if laptop was returned to be repaired then who in their right mind would close the job. The machine is still left un-repaired and the customer without a laptop. Baffled by this information I asked why they didn't use alternate forms of contact such as an email of text to the customer, just to inform the customer of the attempted contact. I have worked jobs before where I have been in a similar situation, instead of cancelling the customer s order or discontinuing the service, a note would be left via email or text as this is the logical next step.

Overall Disgusted in the service of the business. Not only have they cost me money and time, but tried telling me, the user I was the cause of the obvious hardware issues with the machine.

I urge anyone considering to purchase from the business to highly reconsider and avoid entirely.

By far this is the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere! After returning my printer that was only 1 month old after the buttons stopped working, I was told it would be 2 weeks for repair. It has now been over a month and still no printer or notifications from their end. I am so sick of calling them and only to speak to some idiot with an attitude problem! Do yourself a favour and buy somewhere else .anywhere but here!!!

Purchase a motherboard and a Core I-5 at the same time. At the time of ordering I asked them to verify the components were compatible. When I collected the items they again confirmed they were compatible. After assembling I find that the motherboard on-board video cannot work as the Core I-5 was an 'F' version (no integrated graphics). Emailed sales about this only be to told 'Everyone knows an 'F' version doesn't include graphics'. He them went to indicate it was my fault for not asking the correct question.
