Went to the Innovative Express Care.

Went to the Innovative Express Care.

Was having bad heart palpitations and was very uncomfortable. Blood tests, basic EKG, and told to take Tylenol. Left still uncomfortable. The women I met with were nice.

I come from a family of surgeons and doctors, but they were all working. I panicked and went to Innovative Express. Later that day my family saw I was still struggling and asked what doctor I saw. I gave them the name and come to find out I only saw a nurse practitioner.

My family was mortified that I presented with a heart issue and doctor didn t even take time to talk to me.

I ended up going to see a doctor that evening and he gave me recommendations. My heart palpitations finally stopped so I could sleep.

I would not go back to the innovative express care. It felt like the place is just focused on making money, and not on patient care.

I've had 2 appointments at Innovative Express Care. On both occasions Dr. Khare and his staff were most professional. I was seen right away and Dr. Khare didn't rush though the exam process. He took the time to ask if I had any questions and then actually spent time answering all questions and concerns. Imagine that! I am already thinking of seeing Dr. Khare as my primary care physician.

Dr. Khare is very attentive and makes you feel as if he's been your physician for years. Thank you Dr. Khare and staff for doing healthcare the way it's meant to be.

I came for an annual physical and spent a little over an hour waiting for what was ultimately a 10 minute check up. The exam wasn't very through and the doctor wasn't personable. She seemed to be in a rush. The medical assistant was friendly which is why i gave it 3 stars but I certainly will not be back here.

My cholesterol was a little high and i asked the doctor if i needed meds and instead of taking out a prescriptiin pad and writting me a prescription she told me that i should first try and change my diet habbits. This day and age that is unheard of and it amazed me. Most docs just pump you with meds so you have to keep coming back to them. This place is amazing.

I m so glad I found Innovative Express Care! I moved recently to the area and I ve needed them twice now I m the last three months.

My first visit was kind of a fluke. I stepped on a nail waking on the sidewalk, and I really needed immediate care. Since they were the closest location to me, and in network, it made sense. The staff gave me the care I needed, with no awaiting, super friendly, and they really put me at ease. When I came time to settle up, the bill wasn t crazy high either which was refreshing.

Recently, I went on a three week trip to Southeast Asia. I came back from my trip and immediately went back to work. Bad move. I was sooo sick for like three days with a chest cold I couldn t even get out if bed. Knowing that Innovative Express was in waking distance to my house, I made the decision to make an appointment. With lots of availability, I got right in, and they had me in and out in under and hour complete with a chest X-ray and a sample inhaler. They sent my prescription over to the nearby Walgreens, and I was on the mend 20 minutes later. Now, two days have gone by and I feel 1000% better.

For the convenience, availability, and peace of mind, Innovative Express is a terrific alternative to my primary care physician, who is often difficult to get in with at NW. Thus far, I ve had nothing but amazing experiences, and will continue to use their health services in the future. Oh, and the free coffee is a real plus too. For me, Innovative Express is 5 stars!

Wonderful NEW, at least in the medical field, patient first care and convenience!!!

Thank you so much for the fantastic care and also for saving me hours of my day when I need to see a physician!!!

I got an appointment in 1/2 hour, not 1/2 month to see my doctor and didn't sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes after appointment time before getting in.
I actually saw my Dr. at the time I was supposed to.

Jenna Benoit listens and actually cares about you as a person. You are not an insurance claim in her eyes, but someone she can help.

I'm posting this review, but hope this new found medical secret doesn't get out...too far, at least.

Thanks again!!!

5 star experience as always! Super fast flu shot with quick but thorough check to make sure I qualified. The ability to schedule an appointment, see real-time wait time & make an appointment or drop in as it suits my schedule is stellar. Love the free parking, convenient location & clean facility. Thanks for another great experience!

I cannot recommend this clinic. I was told I would not have to wait long because they had 3 "doctors." I waited almost an hour to see a "doctor" who never introduced himself or wore a name tag. He spent 5 minutes with me examining the finger I had gotten caught in a door, and recommended I wear a plastic sprint for a few weeks, which he gave me. When I got the bill I learned I was treated by a nurse practitioner. I was charged $350 for the visit. I was charged $135 for the splint he gave me. I went online and found the exact same brace on Amazon for $2.15. Needless to say I will never go back there.

I've utilized a number of Innovative's services and had wonderful experiences with each of them. From the front desk team, the MedSpa or the "innovation" they continue to explore and make available to the masses. Innovative Express Care is a hidden gem on the verge of reshaping the health care landscape in Chicago.

Amazing experience thanks to Dr. Khare and team! My wife and I were headed out of the country to Morocco for a week long business trip and we both got hit with what we thought was Strep Throat the night before. Innovative Express Care jumped into action the next AM and before we got onto the plane we had the needed medication. I can't tell you the amount of stress relief this provided as there was no time in our schedule to be in bed or spending time figuring out international health care. So appreciative!

I am a first year college student who initially sought out this clinic for severe stomach pain and symptoms similar to that of acid reflux or IBS. I've never dealt with serious medical issues in the past, and definitely not on my own or one's that came on so suddenly. I was stressed and nervous to try to find a clinic that worked with my insurance, especially being from out of state, and was elated when I found this one. I was told that they accepted my insurance, and I would be seen with just a $25 copay.

Don't get me wrong, the care I received was excellent. The physician listened intently and provided me with a comprehensive strategy for dealing with my stomach issues that I later found out were stemming from stress an anxiety. She gave me samples of several medicines that worked well and I was feeling better.

About two weeks later I notice I've been charged $425 for the same exact services, which I was initially told were only $25 each visit.

I discovered that my insurance denied the claim. Turns out that I was not covered at this clinic, which directly contradicts the information I was given in person by their front desk staff.

I'm in an ongoing dialogue with Dr. Rahul Khare, the founder of Innovative Express Care. So far I've been told I can only be given half of the money back, and have been told I should have known I wasn't covered. EVEN THOUGH THEY TOLD ME TO MY FACE I WAS COVERED, AND THEN THEY CHARGED ME WEEKS AFTER I VISITED AND I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS ALL DEALT WITH.

Again, I'm 19, have never dealt with insurance on my own before, and thought I could trust the professionals who were telling me I was covered. I was wrong.

So unless you know every in and out of your insurance, I would steer clear from this clinic.

Great care, however physicians and nurses only wore masks while entering patient rooms and took them off in common areas. Probably won't go again if avoidable despite the good services, not worth the risk of covid exposure.

I had a wonderful experience at Innovative Express Care. I love that I was able to fill out the majority of my registration information online as well as some personal health questions prior to my visit. It cut down on the time spent in the room answering questions and it gave me time to look up the information. The facility was modern and geered towards your confort and convinience with complementary coffe and cooled drinks in the waiting area. Not to mention the free WiFi and phone charging station. The provider and her medical assistant were excellent! P.A Jayme Sibley was warm and comforting. She was knowledgeable and funny and I appreciated her professionalism. The M.A was no doubt the reason why the room was so clean and organized and she did a great job of being quick and efficient in gathering information! Best part was that I have an electronic copy of my receipt, summary and lab results which is wonderful!!!!

I've been trying to reach someone at Innovative Express Care about a billing question for a couple weeks now. The phone always goes to an answering machine, and I have no idea how to get someone to call me back. I've left voicemail messages at the regular number and the billing number, and I've sent a secure message through the portal (which advertises a reply in two days - unfortunately not the case). No one has returned my call or my messages. I'm not sure what to do except recommend that people avoid this provider for the time being. They have good reviews, but they do not seem to be able to handle their present patient volume.

Their website says call if there s no availability or appointments to select for COVID testing. The website doesn t show any availability for more than 18 months so I wondered if that was a glitch and tried calling. When you call, you get an auto message that says text. When you text, they refer you to check site. When I tried to ask for clarification or to ask if it was a system error, they wouldn t answer any questions. I thought it was a boy at first until they just started being rude and texting READ THE WEBSITE . Well I did. And I followed all instructions on all channels and ended up in a loop. Totally unacceptable way to treat people, especially those seeking medical care.

Very welcoming environment. Everyone was very professional and friendly which is all you can really ask for. The doctors really knew their stuff and really taught you what cannabis can do for you. The wait time for me felt like nothing because as you re waiting your actually being taught all the things that cannabis can help with. I had a 10:30 appointment arrived about 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork. By 10:30 I was off to finally get the application process going. Finally by 11:30 I was out the door feeling like I had a new lease on life. Not to mention there was A LOT of people in line however that really didn t get in the way. The team there knows exactly what they re doing and are there to help in any way. They warn it could take up to 2 hours for the whole process to be done but to be honest I think that s just being generous. It really only took me an hour tops and now I m just waiting to be approved which can take up to 3 months unfortunately but that s not this facility s fault it s the state not recognizing just how many people need Medicinal Cannabis. Hopefully that process will be expedited in the future so people who need the help immediately can get it.

The office is comfortable and modern. Free coffee, LaCroix, juice, and regular, non-fruit-whispered water. Staff is friendly, jargon-free and super helpful. The wait was a bit long, but only because I got there right at the peak of a rush. Hopefully I don't need to go to the doctor too often, but if I do I'll be happy to go to Innovative.

I have some mixed opinions about this facitlity. W...

I have some mixed opinions about this facitlity. While they are providing some needed treatments that there is a lack of throughout the rest of Chicago (medical card qualification, ketamine treatment, etc.), some of their methodology has some serious issues.

First off, if you are looking for a PTSD or PCS diagnoses, they do not except insurance which seems strange as every other aspect of the qualification process does. Just a heads up. I know this may be in insurance providers hands.

My partner was recently diagnosed with PTSD, and her initial diagnosis session went really well, she had high hopes for this organization! Jenna Quinn was wonderful and supportive.

Now comes the problematic stuff.

Next step was a follow up appointment, where she would actually be sitting with a doctor and talking through the Cannabis program.

Well.

We arrived at the clinic and she was moved up to a waiting room on the 2nd floor. I stayed downstairs until I got a text that read: "There is a lady up here peddling CBD products SO hard and she will not stop talking at us in this itty bitty waiting room and its making me so I anxious."

For someone with ptsd, this experience was really jarring. After she texted I went upstairs as well. I'm usually not too anxious of a person but this was truly overwhelming.

Next was the "in-person visit." This was the entirety of the conversation between the physician and my partner.

Phyician: "I didn't pull up your file, why are you here?"

My partner told him the diagnosis and he said:
"Do you know the difference between CBD and THC? Indica vs Sativa"

My partner did. The doctor said "okay, we can be done now," with a grin that seemed to translate to "you can go have fun and smoke weed"

That was all within under a minute. Seriously.

No conversations about developing a routine or regimen with Cannabis, no information about filling out an application, nothing.

My partner cam back into the waiting room and we sat patiently through the Cannabis consultant (Farah)'s continued diatribe about CBD products that cost 3 times more than the same third party lab tested ones you can find in stores and online. This whole rant seemed much more like a sales pitch than anything else (especially as she sold 3 or 4 $150 1 oz tins of CBD cream).

Finally my partner thought to go back up to the desk since we were waiting for quite some time. She went up and they seemed confused, gave her an application, and said we were good to go home.

All of that was overwhelming as hell. The fact the doctor hadn't looked at the file made my partner feel like her diagnosis was insignificant, and the whole experience felt rushed, and inconsiderate of folks with anxiety and sensitivity to loud noises.

My partner is happy to have her card now, but we're having to do a lot of our own research when it comes to developing a healing relationship with Cannabis. It seems the only option IEC offers for this is expensive consulting services with Farah, and based on our experience we wouldn't feel comfortable with that.

I've since talked to a few people who have gone through this clinic with the exact same experience.

This is partly a review on the clinic and partly a heads up to those looking to spend a lot of time and money on their services.

If all you're looking to do is get a diagnosis and medical card, by all means. If you're looking for more nuanced and sustained relationship with a Cannabis friendly doctor or therapist, you might not find that here. Maybe you will! It just didn't pan out that way for us.

IEC, thanks for the help with the card. But it seems like innovative means taking even more money than usual from patients, and express means overlooking comfort and care for the sake of speed and ease for the staff.

I had pain in my lungs when I went in. After the nurse examined me, she went to the other room and I could hear them discussing my case and a lot of giggling. I was shocked to see such un-professional behavior for what could have been a very serious condition. But I was distressed and all by myself and just couldn't gather the strength to tell them that.

They were trying to get me to do an xray and ECG without a doctor even examining me. I refused to do it at first since I try to avoid radiation as much as possible. It turned out to be a muscular distress and was fixed by simple pain killers.

Would you want go to a clinic and be made fun of for whatever your condition is? Would you stand this kind of behavior if it was your kid? And what if they unnecessarily prescribe xrays or other tests for you or your kid only for you to find out later that it could have been avoided?

I'd ask people to go there only if there is no other express care clinic open.

This is the first physician's office which has taken me seriously regarding my back and neck pain. I was referred to imaging (River North MRI, 5 stars), and then to a spinal surgeon (Julie Wehmer, 5 stars), and then to physical therapy (ATI in Oak Park, 5 stars). After the physical therapy, and using the new medicine, my pain and quality of life have improved so much! I've lost 15 lbs in half a year, just because it's so much easier to be active now that I'm not in as much pain. Such kind and caring providers! I just finished a telemedicine appointment for a follow up, through videoconferencing on my computer at home. It's so nice to be able to get exactly the amount of care you need so conveniently. I love this place.

It s not the most efficient system. It took three hours while I only spent about 20 mins total talking to an actual person. You select your preferred location, take a photo, provide finger prints for a background check, and speak with a physician for about ten minutes. This is the best urgent care clinic I've ever been to. It is conveniently located with a parking lot and the facility is modern and clean. We had an outstanding experience at Innovative Express care. My 6 year old son smashed his finger in a door and we thought it might have been broken. We decided to try Innovative Express Care instead of going downtown to Children's hospital because of Dr. Khare's excellent reputation in emergency medicine. Dr. Khare was very calming for our son. We got an X-ray on the spot and learned there was no break. The whole process took about 30 minutes which is less time than it would have taken us to even drive downtown.

I highly recommend Innovate Express Care. It is so nice to have such a great facility in the neighborhood.

They take advantage of your insurance and Bill unnecessary charges. When you have a question about billing they never call you back, they just keep sending you invoices. I had my Wellness visit here twice and both times my insurance tells me that it is 100% paid for but they said my blood work out till places out of my network charge my insurance $1,500 for blood work and me a $35 copay. Never informed me that the blood work is out of network. They also told me about a knee procedure for pain that my insurance didn't cover and it will be $1,500 out of pocket I asked was that the total cost they told me yes. But they still Bill my insurance is for office visits never once told me I had a copay but I can invoice in the mail about office visit co-pays, and once again they don't return my calls so I paid because I didn't want it to go to collections. They are a bunch of scammers.

This review is long overdue. After experiencing a health issue in January/February of this year, a friend recommended that I try Innovative Express Care as I was having difficulty getting into a doctor's office. It turned out to be a wonderful recommendation.

I made an appointment one day after hearing about Innovative Express Care and upon my first visit, I did not have to wait more than 10 minutes to be taken to an examination room. Dr. Khare listened attentively to my concerns and went out of his way to make sure that I had prompt appointments set up to get the necessary tests completed outside his facility to learn more about my issue. He and I were in constant communication throughout the whole process.

I truly felt cared for and will certainly return in the future if any health concerns arise again. I cannot recommend Innovative Express Care more.

I moved to Chicago roughly a year ago, and was looking to not only establish primary care, but to find a compassionate practice to manage my existing health conditions.

Having had five (5) previous back surgeries, I have a complex health history which includes chronic pain (degenerative disc disease, and failed back surgery syndrome), and generalized anxiety. The health care team at Innovative Care has set a new standard on how medicine should be practiced, and has truly put the care back in health care.

The professionals at this practice listen, and take an approach that incorporates traditional medicine with alternative progressive medicine. At Innovative, the patient is not just a number, but an individual with specific health care needs. They tailor a health care plan specific for the patient, and do not allow you to get lost in the system.

This is a highly ethical practice that embodies principles and values, and is an example of how I imagine health care was originally intended to be practiced. As a patient you don t feel like you are cog in the wheel of Big Business, but rather an individual with specific and diverse needs. They listen, they research and they apply the best practices for individualized care.

Appointments are easy to obtain, with a convenient location and the added benefit of timely, personal and confidential telemedicine. The convenience factor only adds to the already stellar offerings that this practice brings to their patients.

When traveling out of state on business, i was the unfortunate recipient of a serious emergency surgery. Innovative Care - as my primary provider - made it easy and comfortable to communicate across state-lines, and was able to reccomed and set-up specialty care. Upon my return they saw me immediately and seamlessly transitioned my care in house.

I can t say enough great things about Innovative Express Care, their Health Care Team and the values of which the embrace. There is no other place in the Greater Chicago Area that I would recommend a patient whether it be for family checkups, emergency care or a progressive non-traditional approach.

Innovative Express Care has completely restored my faith in the health care system, and the physician/patient relationship.

I had gone in to do a simple blood test and received an unexpected bill from the lab for over $500 for what I thought was a simple procedure.
