It is a place to be hungry. The golf course is good and the service is good to match the reputation of the previous four seasons. The breakfast price is a bit, but I think it's good enough to eat.
Parking is convenient because it is valet all day in and out anytime, but costs $35 per day. There is no self-parking. If you stay a little longer, . ...

Love this place! Amazing property and everything is beautiful! We have 2 young kids and they have amazing pools and even a game room! The game room is clean and has multiple games, billiards, shuffle board, foos tables and even a bar too! The whole campus is great and the service is 5 star all the way! There Illy coffee in the room and the linens are soft and the best! The beds are comfortable and the views are spectacular! I booked directly with the hotel bc they gave the best discounts. We will come back again!

Amazing service. Friendly staff. They make everything easy for you. I ordered room service and wanted to eat outside, and the waiter brought the food to the balcony. I stayed for the 4th of July and the fireworks were amazing! Definitely a 5-star resort!

My wife and I had five of the most chill days here. Since we were on a kid free vacation, we made really good use of the 21+ pool. But we d bring the kid with us sometime too. The family pool area is really well thought out for families.

Lastly, the staff was excellent. Everyone was extremely nice and treated us really well. We ll be back for sure.

We had a great time New Year's Eve enjoying their Special Buffet. For $80 each, the variety was very good and the quality overall excellent.
The corkage fee was $30 but I enjoy my own wine best.
I would put this as an option for next year.

Had a blast golfing here. Its a bit on the pricey side, but we had a underpar that made it worth it. Challenging in some aspects, but overall a beautiful course. I wish they had more stay and play packages pop up here and there.

It's really a shame to depths this resort has sunk to. It's good if you want a 'Hyatt experience' I know full well this will sound elitist but this is not a luxurious resort since park Hyatt took over. This is a family vacation with all that entails. Service is provided to the lowest denominator of client. Think Disney cruise rather than resort. If that's what you want go for it. Don't mistake this , though, for luxury, at least not since Four Seasons left. It's really a crime. I used to go there for many years and knew the staff very well. Many switched over to be hired by the new Park Hyatt crew and I can verify based on private conversations. They liken this as a 'Kardashian experience' as compared to their prior working environment of a true cultured guest experience. Then to make matters worse, whereas the feeling of a true resort is that you don't have to think about what you need, it is simply provided and you can relax your mind , as well as your body; this management tries to nickel and dime you to death so that you have to always be in the process of negotiating your entire stay about what service you want.
So, if you have 4 toddlers under 6 - this is the place for you!!!
For anyone who wants what is only promised here, go to the Grand Del Mar or Pelican Hill that are nearby.

If you want an exceptional experience, in an exceptional hotel, then this is the place. Located in Carlsbad, tucked away in scenic paradise, this is an exceptional hotel! A must go to, if you're ever in the area. The hotel staff and service were also at the highest standard. Everyone working there would always greet you with a smile, a good day or hello, and were willing to go out of their way for your comfort. 5 stars all the way!

Stayed here for a week of vacation with our 7 months old and 3 years old one. Overall was really great. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Hotel is kids friendly. Good that it has a nice adult pool, so we didn't have to worry when our kids were noisy by the pool. Breakfast buffet is very good. They provide beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and toys. Which was great as we didn't bring any. Conveniently located, close to Legoland and the beach. Only downside was for me that the hotel is also a conference hotel, meaning it's quite large and feels a bit business like. During our stay there were 2 conferences and you see a lot of people with badges. It didn't bother us much, but reminded me a bit of a work trip as I need to attend such conferences frequently for work.

Beautiful property with tons of walking/running trails. Limited food options & a bit pricey on those but the Seasons restaurant down the hill at Four Seasons Residences has a great happy hour and more relaxed vibe. The room was good sized and the heated pools are nice!

Gorgeous property in every way from the rooms to the grounds. Beautifully kept, very friendly and competent staff, excellent food especially the breakfast buffet. Great views, nice pool and gym. Live music in the bar was really good. Valet staff was the best. Overall a fantastic stay, we'll be back.

This was a great hotel but the best part was Jenny Jang at the front desk. Jenny was excellent at check in and made great restaurant recommendations on the property and off. We did try the taco stand off property that she recommended and it was excellent. Jenny also was very accommodating after we checked out and needed a place to change etc. Thank you Jenny! We will be back.

Used online request form to pre-book refrigerator, extra pillows, and microwave, but only the microwave was in the room when we arrived. Front desk/valet/guest service brought up the missing items right away. Water was offered at every turn and loved that the hotel is pet friendly except for restaurants and poolside. Turndown service makes the room welcoming after a long day out. Details make a difference in our book.

This has become our favorite Hyatt. Very nice lounge with outside patio with live fire pits. The Vivace Italian Ristorante and Argyle Steakhouse are excellent and run very nice and economical specials. Great pools and spa services. And to top it off an Arnold Palmer designed golf course. Christmas and New Years specials are very reasonable for a five star resort.

Disappointed in the customer service here. Will not be going back and would not recommend to anyone. Not the kind of place that will go out of their way to accommodate you, which is what you'd expect from a hotel of their so-called calibre.

We just went there to see the Christmas trees in the lobby. they aren't as extravagant as they used to be when it was the four seasons. then we went outside to have a cup of coffee and a hamburger but the waiter took so long we finally gave up just paid for our coffee and left. But it was still nice just to walk around and look at the hotel and the Christmas decorations.

These people treat their employees like dogs. Many times they receive no breaks and aftet a hard days work from coming in at 4 am and getting off work around 2pm without not even one break, they still get scolded and told that they are doing things wrong. Their should be an investigation done here for violating the rights of the workers here.
