Besides the beauty of the resort, the amazingly good meals the thing that really made my stay there an excellent experience was the staff, particularly three members of the staff. I recently attended a conference there and felt I was treated like royalty. The first staff member I spoke to was Jenny at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay there was perfect, she also greeted me every morning by name and kindly asked about my stay. The second was a bellman named Dan. His helpfulness and warm conversation won us over. The third, I forgot her name, was a waitress in the Vivace restaurant who served coffee and juices as the conference sponsor provided us with your magnificent buffet. She was so helpful, kind and super attentive to our needs. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it was magnificent!

My fiance and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary there and the service and accommodations were incredible. The Park Hyatt staff is abover excellent, on our first night there we mentioned we were staying for our anniversary and when we got back to our room after dinner we were greeted by a night hat, champagne and chocolates courtesy of the concierge staff... Class act!

Nice rooms with large bathroom, balcony with view of the golf course, lagoon, and ocean. Downstairs there was a game room with some arcade machines and the concierge had DVDs we could rent so there were plenty of ways to entertain ourselves at night.

The rooms are so spacious and worth vacationing to. It has a beautiful courtyard and the pools are great to relax in. I love that I can walk around the resort to get my 20 min of workout in. The resort is surrounded by San Diego attractions that are about 30 min or less away

love it so much everything from Excellent bar service to the golf course and the spa and pools they have everything yet.Its Feels like a 5 Star Resort Makes you want to live there and you never want to leave the hotel. when i stay at this hotel the rooms where very inviting. One time i had a Panoramic View King which was very nice room size just for 2 people. A another time i had Presidential Suite Which was huge for two people but i was eligible for upgrade and that upgrade was about to expire so i chose to upgrade my room And it was well worth the extra $$$$ money and upgrade points. the hotel lots seating space near the lobby. The gem of this "lounge" is the adjacent outdoor patio, which has views of the golf course and the Carlsbad coast. Great at sunset.

Attended my nieces wedding there. They did a wonderful job, everything was so beautiful. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The location is a little hidden but that's what I liked about it. My husband and I had a room on the first floor. We had a limited view of the pool, which gave us some privacy. There was also a little pathway that led out to it. I definitely would love to stay there again.

Beautiful 4-5 star resort sitting above the north side of the Batiquitos lagoon. The hotel facilities are five star and the rooms are nice but small. Jason Spa and our beautiful adult pool overlooking the ocean. Nice tennis facility the best amenity of this hotel is there Golf course and they're golf shop and restaurant Argile's. You can't go wrong but be sure to bring your gold or platinum Amex.

We had a fantastic stay here for New Year's Eve. We had our 2 year old with us so we did an early dinner at the Lobby Grille and it was really nice. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Our view was overlooking the pool and water. Everyone treated us great. We will be back for future stays. Great experience.

Stellar experience from check-in to check-out. The grounds of the resort are exquisite, and there is an unbelievable view of the ocean from the lobby lounge (especially around sunset). Located in a great spot in North County San Diego - you can get to downtown San Diego, the inland parts of the San Diego, and even up to Orange County for Disneyland, etc. Overall, highly recommended resort/hotel.

Had high tea at Christmas- service was wonderful, food and tea were good. However the seating was a bit awkward with 3 of us on a very deep couch having to learn forward the entire time. The piano was lovely, however, and was a very nice time overall.

This is a beautiful resort. Anytime we have to go to California, this is my choice where to stay. I personally like the Palm Court View rooms, just because the grounds are so well taken care of. We've stayed on the Bay view side and that was gorgeous as well. They pipe in Jasmine through the hallways and the common areas, so that's really nice and calming. The rooms are decent size and have balconies. The bathroom is very luxurious. There is an adult pool and a pool for kids. There's a bar by the adult pool. I've never been ignored by the staff and they've always been really friendly.

Stayed here for a conference and it is beautiful, large room with a great view and very good service. I had an incredible massage at the spa as well. Not a lot to do on the property, perfect for meetings, not sure I would stay here for vacation if I wanted to be active, have access to a cafe on site, and easy access to San Diego.

I didn t know what to expect from a Park Hyatt located in Carisbad, 30 min north of San Diego.
Location aside, this resort is a stunning property
with the same level of service and hospitality that I encountered at the best Park Hyatt hotels around the world - Tokyo, Sydney, Vienna and New York.
It was refreshing to be able to drive to this oasis and relax and be pampered for a few nights.
Breakfast menu at Ponto Lago restaurant was creative, diverse and delicious.
A special thank you to Jussi Santa, Assistant Director of Rooms, and Sarah Sbicca, Spa Manager, that excelled on their jobs and made our stay very special and memorable.

Very nice view. Family friendly. Plenty of room for events. They have a game room with foosball, pool table, shuffleboard, ice hockey, chess, and some console games. Nice family pool where they set up a movie screen at night and show films.

The hotel is awesome, large room nice and clean, with baclony plus a incredible golf course right there Greens and fairways in tip top shape all the time. There is a separate putting and chipping lawn. Also the driving range is in good shape with targets to hit as well. The restaurant is also very very good. Food is amazing and service is as well. The lawns and ground are in amazing shape and very beautiful. Fountains and gardens add a lot of atmosphere to the course. You would think you're at a Country Club here from how fancy and nice looking this place is, all at great prices.

We came here from Los Angeles with our 3 year old ...

We came here from Los Angeles with our 3 year old twins for their Birthday. We were going to enjoy the amenities and go to Legoland.
The minute we walked in our hotel room it smelled musky and once the doors to the terrace were open an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke flooded the room.
One of the twins is extremely sensitive health wise to smoke.
The bellman noticed the smell as well and said it was a non-smoking resort so he wasn't sure where it would have come from.

When we then asked to change rooms we were told we needed to pay an additional fee!

Fine. I'll pay it not have to stay in a room that smells like a Reno casino. Then once we got down to our new room it took 3 phone calls and 2 hours to have the boys cribs moved from the original rooms one floor up so they could take a nap. Plus someone must have just moved out of this room because ALL of the toiletries (slippers, mouthwash, etc) had been stripped from the room. Definitely not a 5 star experience so far!

I later went to the spa for a massage. My son and I shared some fish tacos on the way from Los Angeles that made us both feel ill and once I was better I still felt very tense.
The massage therapist, Camilla was 5 minutes late. She then proceeded to tell me that a flu had been going around and she didn t want to catch anything. Also a massage might not be good for me . I told her it was
just something I ate. She left and I lay on the table, minutes ticking by. Finally a manager came in and asked me about my health. I told her the same thing. They left me to wait a again after almost 10 minutes the therapist came in to start my massage. She unapologetically explained that the manager had needed to find her a mask! (Keep in mind I had no cough, fever or any symptoms other than stomachache upset for a day. I appeared perfectly healthy. I amazed a spa can stay in business if they turn down everyone that feels like they need some rejuvenating after a stressful time (like a long car trip and having an upset tummy for a day). The massage was less than mediocre-
She appeared afraid to touch me. And had to breath heavily, Darth Vader-like through her mask.

When I checked out I mentioned the massage had not been for the full time of 50 min due to the 15 min late start. They graciously **
took off 20 % but then proceeded to add a 20% gratuity based on the original total for themselves and the masseuse.
Definition of gratuity
: something given voluntarily or beyond obligation usually for some service; especially : tip 1. a gift of money, over and above payment due for service, as to a waiter or bellhop

Our reception was held outside and the set up was very beautiful. We were the moved inside into one of the ballrooms and that was also top-notch. Staff was friendly and attentive, and the valet service was pretty quick. The food was also really good. Overall, we had a great time.

Hotel was beautiful, rooms were very nice and clean. Pool was kid friendly, even had a movie and dusk. Gym was pretty big and clean. 5 out of 5 stars. Only negative thing was valet parking was about $38 a night and if you wanted to self park ($25) you'd have to drive down the hill and request a shuttle, kind of inconvienent but I guess if you could afford this type of Resort, you're probably not self parking anyway.

Beautiful driveway, attentive and courteous valet,...

Beautiful driveway, attentive and courteous valet, entering the lobby was amazing, doormen always at the door and when walking through there are fresh flowers displayed on the center table and the scent fills the room with an unforgettable fragrant, Omg I love smell!!. Our family of 4 was kindly shown around the lobby and was offered cold bottled water
by the way this was given to us every time we left the property (hydrate!). We were then walked to the elevator by the front desk agent I wish I remembered his name he was so nice. The first thing my children noticed opening the door to our room were the blue walls then it was the huge bathroom with separate tub and shower, his and her sink, the comfortable beds and the furnished balcony with a view of the greens. The pool area is great for kids and adults as there is an adults only pool with beautiful scenery i swear i could've touched the clouds! The outdoor patio is nice and welcoming and warm sitting by the fire and relaxing to the sounds of the live entertainment playing from inside the lounge area. We stayed for 2 nights and it was AMAZING!!! We will definitely stay here again and again!
