This is just a little tidbit that I forgot to mention when I was getting ready to check out that in room 273 the mattress on the left hand side has got a hole in it that you kind of sink into and can't get out of I just thought I would let you know but otherwise I had a great time staying there again

My wife and I have stayed here twice now. The location is gorgeous and hosts an excellent restaurant, Vivace. Marked down one star because the first time we stayed there our room was either right under or right over the lounge and they had live music playing well into the early morning hours keeping us up. When I complained they were prompt to make it up to us but it was none the less a disappointing first experience. The second time was nothing short of perfection. I highly recommend, just make sure you dont get one of the lower rooms near the lounge.

It's worth visiting during the holidays. The decor is so festive, with multiple trees and twinkling lights everywhere. Carolers stroll during certain hours. I was there for a large holiday party and the food was delicious and plentiful.

I can only comment on the spa treatments, but I have to say that the experience was nothing but exceptional. Everyone is very nice and service oriented. I highly recommend getting a massage and facial. There is a calm waiting room with little snacks and tea/water to wait for your services, if you dont want to hang at the separate hot tub & wet/dry saunas for men and women. If can also use the hotel pools if you purchase the spa services. I really liked the adult's only pool. The view was fabulous and super relaxing. You can purchase food and drinks poolside. It was a truly wonderful way to relax your cares away.

I'm fortunate enough to have a job that takes me all over the world and typically staying in pretty nice places. Of them all, this is my favorite hotel of them all. Casual elegance at its finest, with that adorable California laid-back attitude. Highly suggest the Park Hyatt

Staying at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort has been a phenomenal experience for my family and I. As soon as you enter the resort, you are greeted by a picturesque driveway and arrive to a team of valets and doorman to assist with your luggage and check-in. The Park Hyatt Aviara also has a ton of adminities for kids as well as adults. Some of those amenities for kids include: daycare (Camp Hyatt) chocked full of games and activities, so that adults can have some getaway time. The resort also has a fully furnished game room with pool tables and arcades. For adults the resort has an adult-only pool, a bar, bistro, spa, fitness room and an amazing steakhouse. Also, the rooms and sleeping accommodations are marvelous. The down pillows and comforter are luxuriously soft and the bed seems to fold in around you in warmth. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the staff are super nice, relatable, and very helpful if you want to find things away from the resort such as food or family-friendly activities. Our family highly recommends this place and "approves this message".

We were there for the resort pass which included the spa amenities. The pool area was great! There are two pools and two jacuzzis. One area for adults only at 21 and over. And another for families. The view is amazing, the drinks were delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive. We did not try the food besides a fruit platter which was also good. I highly recommended coming here and I will be back one day but this time probably even get a room and stay.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We were guests of Well Resorts for an owner update dinner & seminar. The service was wonderful and the meantime was well prepared and delicious. However,. When you serve a steak you should offer a steak knife, not expect the consumer to cut it with a regular table knife!

Had a very pleasant experience overall. Went for a "staycation" anniversary and had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us upon check in gratis. Additionally, the concierge also granted us Spa access. Our room was clean and quiet, and the ground were very clean and spacious. Great place to relax and unwind.

Great hotel! Rooms a bit dated and in need of some newer furnishings but the staff where friendly and helpful! Brittney with the front desk and Jose/Jerry? in the lounge were over the top friendly and helpful. Great employees like these two make all the difference!

It's a lovely property, it may be time for some updates for a true 'Park Hyatt' experience. Great staff, beautiful architecture, and sweeping ocean views. Overall a great hotel with service to match.

" California Bistro "We were staying at a hotel 5 stars with my Family for Fathers day weekend. At the time were going to have breakfast in the morning and I asked the front desk for a recommendation on where to have good breakfast they said California Bistro. We had a table of 5 , they took are order but took a long time before we got our food , coffee was watered down, pancakes hard probably of sitting , strawberry's tasted like they were cut with a dirty knife and the service disappointing , I don't know you people but when I go to places like this I liked to be served according to the establishment ... Heads up !!

LOVE the Park Hyatt Aviara.

LOVE the Park Hyatt Aviara.

Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly.

Something to keep in mind: parking is valet only and there is no other place to park. But the valets are great.

There are free DVDs to watch in your room. If I remember correctly, you can checkout 3 at a time.

The game room is amazing: pool tables, table hockey, Playstations and more.

The breakfast buffet is expensive but it's the only way you can get their homemade yogurt. The best yogurt anywhere.

Valet parking is free if you're not a guest but eating at one of the restaurants.

Super comfy beds.

Excellent property. This location used to be a four seasons hotel. Impeccable service and staff. The grounds are manicured and beautiful. It overlooks the connected golf course and from thw right angle the ocean is in the distance. I was lucky as I was in a suite and it was huge and well appointed. See the attached photos. It does set off by itself and is about 15min from downtown Carlsbad.

We spent only one night there, but treated our self to an in-room dining experience with an actual sit down table, the beds our heavenly and the experience is one to remember, the prices are fair if you go off season and make sure to give yourself a one-week cushion to save even more money. Great experience!

The Park Hyatt Aviara is a very nice property in many aspects. The public areas including the lobby and patio are quite tasteful. The bathrooms are actually exceptionally nice as well with a few exceptions that I will note below, and generally speaking the staff is courteous, friendly, and attentive.

So why a 2* rating? Simply put the Aviara is presented as a 5* resort. This means that it should be compared against Ritz Carltons and properties like the Encore in Las Vegas. There are too many areas where if you look closely the Aviara is playing catch up.

It's the little things. There is nothing truly special about the rather cookie cutter room. While decorated tastefully, there is nothing exceptional about the furniture or mattresses. The lighting in the bathrooms is poor and we had an issue with the shower door leaking on to the bathroom floor despite the door being completely closed. The water on the floor lead to an unacceptable safety hazard. The towels are incredibly nice!

We have stayed in 4 different rooms at the hotel over 3 visits and although you can set the thermostat to 65 the temperature never cools below 71 in any of the rooms. Either the air conditioner units are undersized or there is a design issue with the air uptake being located in the closet. This should be addressed by either not allowing the thermostat to be set to an unattainable setting or installing adequete and properly designed AC units for the size of the room.

Amazing resort. Stayed here for our anniversary and they treated us like royalty. They brought us champagne and chocolates and gave us free access to the spa. The pools and the view were amazing. They even had a game room full of table games and arcade machines. Truly a 5 star resort.
