I attend a gym in Birmingham, Alabama and I've been a member there for at least one and a half years. I've canceled my membership before and it was easy but this time is more difficult. The customer service I received was extremely poor. I'm doing all communication over email and I have to say that this process is extremely difficult. Okay, so I'm moving to a school literally 204 miles away from this gym, which is roughly 4 hours away. I am a college student now so I leave next week. The cancellation fee wouldn't be an issue if I wasn't informed by the gym that my fee will be waived due to me starting my fall semester. Also what I do not understand is why I am being charged for a whole month and I'm not even going to be in the state. I get the whole 30 day thing, but that is extremely inconvenient when you're gonna have to pay for a gym membership to a gym you can't even go to. I feel as though this policy is very cruel and does not have mercy towards anyone, not even college students. I am willing to give up my membership now and won't require any further access but instead I have to pay next months bill. I am very displeased with this company and the way it has handled things so far. I would appreciate a resolution and maybe I will rejoin the gym and encourage others to as well; because the gym itself was okay. However if nothing is done, not only will I not rejoin this company but I will discourage everyone I see to not get involved, thus saving them the trouble I am going through.

I was seasonally laid off in December. Called and said I needed to suspend my account until I returned to work in April. They said okay. Then they proceeded to charge me again once in February and again today. They billed me on the wrong day, setting it up to ambush my direct deposit the moment it came in. Being laid off Im very short on money, and now I won't be able to make rent unless it's refunded. This is completely unacceptable and I will not do business with a company who engages in such borderline criminal tactics.

Vasa's cancellation was screwed up when i went to cancel membership my this last Saturday and they over charged me $68. I was very frustrated that nothing was working because when i tried to call back on Monday the lady that answered said she'd take care of everything.
Of course i was stupid and hung up without getting more information. I called back the next day because i never heard a status report back from the lady, and sadly i don't remember her name. Anyway, when i called back the second time, there was a poor connection and i lost service. Which in all honesty was okay because the third time I called back i was put on the phone with Nancy.
THANK YOU NANCY!! She listened to my situation and said she would call me back with what her supervisor would do about my situation. She called back that afternoon, and since i was busy she was amazing and left a message. She told me that she had not yet got a hold of her supervisor but would call me back the next morning with new information. And just wanted to let me know that she hadn't forgotten me or my situation.
This morning I got a call from her and she reassured me that everything was going to go through and if i had any questions to call her.
I loved working out at VASA but I'm leaving on a mission and i have to cancel. I had the fitness membership and that was so nice because i travel a lot so it was nice to be able to workout at the different locations.
Over all with the pain of trying to get everything cancelled, Nancy was my saving grace.

Great to work with. Super friendly and helpful over the phone. Only annoyance is that my billing (going through bank account routing rather than CC), means that their system thinks my card has expired/there s a billing problem, so I get recorded calls about call us to fix a problem with your billing info or update your credit card, which has expired ... other than that system annoyance, the customer service is surprisingly pleasant and easy to work with.

The agent I worked with was very professional but more important she was kind, considerate and caring. I appreciated her manner to resolve the issue appropriately, quickly and her calm demeanor. I am a customer service manager at my employ and would hire her in a heart beat. Thank you!

I had called multiple times about cancelling my Vasa membership and the personal trainer, but there wasn't much help from everyone I had talked to. They hung up on me and gave unnecessary attitude. The supervisors never were around when you asked to speak to one. Here comes the one and only savior that worked there here name was Solange. She was amazing, professional, and really helpful when asked my questions. I appreciated her help so much.

They don't even deserve 1 star but whatever I'd give them negative 1 million stars because this company sucks and they obviously don't care about their customers (makes me wonder how they treat their employees) which is typical of big corporations but damn are they some greedy bastards. I live on a budget so to payback the payments I fell behind on (yes, my fault) I set up a payment plan with them for every 2 weeks to debit my account but when unauthorized charges come out 2 weeks in a row that will take my account negative they say they can't do anything about it..that it has to go through and then they can reverse it and they will cover my overdraft fees......really you can't void it the same day it was charged?? Even though you can see on my account it states a bi-weekly payment...but OOPS.. you just don't know what happened..and all of a sudden you're going to be generous and cover OVERDRAFT FEES... sounds like some bullshit to me. Not to mention all of the fines and additional fees they added to my account and not marking NON RENEWAL on my contract like I asked. Oh , and they try to say they're not reporting to the credit bureaus hahaha bullshit. They're really unwilling to work with you and your situation they just see you as a bank account not a person and forget trying to just cancel with them. Pretty much if you sign a contract with them you are agreeing to give them your soul. If Golds Gym/Paramount acceptance was a person I'd tie them to a chair murder their family in front of them and then serve them the flesh of their loved ones

If I could rate this a negative 10 I would! I keep getting multiple calls from this place DURING business hours saying I owe them money for my Gold's Gym membership, which is impossible because I pay my membership fee's on time EVERY month, though I'm guessing they still have my old credit card under the account which is a complete farce seeing as I've been into Gold's Gym THREE times in the past to give them my new card number. Now I'm having to bring lawyers into the whole situation, this place is a crock! Do not trust Gold's Gym or Paramount Acceptance, avoid them both like you would a plague! NOT HAPPY.

I told Vasa to cancel my membership 6 months ago... they never did, i changed my credit card now you are charging me reidiculous amounts, i paid anyway and 2 months ago after i paid i said now TAKE ME OFF the membership and billing. I was having issues with my Vasa fitness account, which end up being an issue that I accidently created. The agent was able to assist me with the data changes that needed to be made.
Unfortunately their verification process isn't the strongest through chat. This has me worried for any future social engineering attempts towards this company. Barcode, phone number and address is not sufficient enough to allow people to make changes to their account. Please update this lack of security in your verification.

The service was horrible. I wanted to cancel the member ship in August. The fitness Riviera gave me their number and I called. A lady answered me. She told me she will process my request after I told her what I want. I also give her the information she needed. And I asked her if I can get a note something. She said no. But in Sep. I was charged again. That made me really upset. So I changed my credit card. This month Oct. they were trying again to charge me. Of course not through. They called me and I told them. They said there was a record I did call them request cancellation. But I did not write email request. So it was my fault? What a mess company! And then there is a cancel fee. Be careful everybody if you go to a fitness you need make sure which company carry it!

The standard ACH list of transactions was not acceptable and she went above and beyond to provide a customized letter. I just wanted to leave a review for a employee named Christian, He was very understanding and went above and beyond to help me and very patient with me. He took his time and helped me resolve a issue without just letting me off the phone upset. Also paramount is a very strict company when it comes to the vasas costumers but today they also did help me rand worked with me and Christian to have a better outcome on my concerns and issues.

Definitely read the fine print! Gym contracts are BS. I don't envy the people working to help the gym doop people but Shannon was very helpful. I didn't have to pay the fee for ending the contract. I would have given 5 stars but after being told no future charges would be incurred, they charged me anyways. I got it back through my bank so no loss. Last gym membership I'll ever have. Lesson learned!

I went online to cancel my Vasa Gym membership and the site kept telling me that there was an error and to contact Vasa directly. I waited a few days and saw that my cancellation fee had gone through twice during my attempts to cancel online. I called Paramount and the representative helped me immediately with my options and was able to get a refund processed and my membership cancelled immediately. I was very happy with the service I received on the phone. It even gave me the option to receive a call back rather than waiting on hold, and I received the call very quickly.
