Been here twice. Came in on Last Friday in July. Good beer and good food, especially during the COVID crisis right now. Our server was awesome! But, another guy serving/busing in a green mask was absurdly rude. Looked like he was all of 18, probably doesn t belong in the bar business. Yelling about his customers outside. Pretty lame considering the owners/customers who pay him are doing what they can to survive. A good/busy establishment such as this can do better with staffing. I m sure the owner just wants people in the door, guys like this will ruin it unfortunately. We won t be back, don t need wait staff mocking customers.

Excellent food and service. Really top notch. Great fun!

Hospitality night was the first time I had ever been to the Mud Hen. I was sitting outside with some ugly sweater friends when Julie came over to see if I was having fun. She brought me a steaming cup of coffee and talked about the brewery for a few minutes. It was a great night enjoying the lights, the holiday atmosphere, and the coffee. Thank you, Julie!

So as a long time foodie and somewhat knowledgeable about this industry and food I would like to say nice try. I would like to start this off on a note of I know good food and I am a chef. I tried 4 items on 2 different visits. The black bean burger
Is executed somewhat well. Their pork tacos, ribs (I had half a rack) comes with corn bread, coleslaw and beans, buffalo wings are all just barely ok. I will come back in a few months to see if this is just opening jitters. The buffalo wings were all broken bones, the ribs were under cooked and very firm to eat, the beans and bbq sauce tasted out of a can. The corn bread was enjoyable and their thin steak cut fries stole the show. Avoid the tacos, pickled veg was not tasty and had looked old( it's their 2nd week) pork was cold. The black bean burger, I was asked a temperature for it to realize that it had no meat. This makes me believe the other reviews of poor service. Anyways this WAS a tasty vegetarian option and I would definitely recommend and enjoy again.

Highlights. The Bakers Double IPA and Cackling Coot are well worth the visit.

Nice selection of beers. Good parking. Good food. I loved the cornbread. Good for a quick pint or to bring the family.

We ordered out because of the covid going on. So I take into account that it s not going to be as good if I ate inside the restaurant. However the food showed up burnt and basically just edible. It s not the worst food I ve ever had but we re on vacation so we were looking for good food. We had food from Dogtooth the night before and it was really good and it was take out. The nachos we ordered were burnt and flavorless. The fried pickles we had we breaded but had no seasoning. The chicken fingers were dry and stringy. The only thing that was decent that we ordered were the Brussels sprouts and the pretzel with the horseradish sauce. Wow the sauce packed a punch but I like stuff like that but it wasn t for the faint of mouth.

Cuban sandwich is delicious. Our server, Josh, was awesome.

This restaurant has the best mac-n-cheese that I have ever eaten. The pretzel appetizers were to die for and the onion rings were okay. They have flavored mojitos that are off the chain as well as many beers and mixed cocktails. This is a must dine out place in Wildwood.

Jessica was our great server. Food good, place looks ready to handle the summer crowds! Good prices.

The food and drinks are delicious and the service was great! I really liked the atmosphere too.

Great ambiance, great food, large drinks selection. Outdoor patio area is awesome, especially for those visiting with kids and pets, lots of room to move around and play corn hole while waiting for your food.

This is now the second time in a row i ve been given raw/undercooked wings. it s a shame to see a business who had great, quality food and beer really slip up on their service.

We went yesterday to enjoy lunch with friends. The food was great and the atmosphere was classy and upbeat. Our waiter, Milos was attentive to our needs and keep up with the refills. The restrooms were clean, large and accommodating to the disabled. We will definitely come back. We've been telling our friends.

The beers and food were amazing while the staff was fast and friendly. I will definitely be back.

Great new place. The mudchips are amazing if you can find parking to get in. The salads are different and tasty.
It's worth the effort. Too bad it's so echoey and the bathrooms require you to skirt close to tables to get to.

Good beer & food. Enjoyed the live music in the outsite dinning area. Would definitely go back again.

Great food, fun and modern atmosphere, pricing is excellent, service is friendly. Convenient location on Rio Grande, highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for some good food and music, and for some quality time with friends.

Tuesday afternoon around 3 was greeted in a nice manner , was seated in a shaded table it was very hot
Drinks arrived fast and where cold ,ordered two appetizers the chip nachos where different not a fan and had to return the wings very chewy and the second order wasn t much better. Or sandwiches burger and pastrami where very good . Service overall was good and servers where very polite. Prices where ok.

Very good location, pleasant town, clean, typical old American

Very disappointed in the front of house staff. I paid for the take-out meals and was told to wait outside they would bring it right out. After 20 minutes of waiting in the windy weather i went inside to check on the status. The guy lied to me that my order had 'just been brought out.' I was home in 3 minutes. Sat down to a room temperature black bean burger. Ugh. Also upcharged for fries but got only chips. Beware & avoid this place.

Clean up plate shows how amazing the food is here! Great selection of fresh & tasty food! Great beer & mixed drink selection! Very friendly & attentive staff! A great place for family dining, hanging out, date night, or watch sports. Very nice outdoor eating area with games for the kids & adults! Live entertainment. Just one of the best restaurants on the island!

Thought the place was awesome, service was great. We only had beer, no food but still got quick service, friendly service. Every time an order of food went by us, it looked amazing. Large portions, displayed awesome. Mostly families were there with kids running all in the grass. Very busy place. Decor of place was awesome, loved the way the wait staff was dressed. Definitely will return when we are hungry. Finally went back for food two days later. Food was excellent, I got the mango chicken special, everyone else hot burgers. One burger was ordered well, came out pink, we told them and they took it back and made a fresh one for us. Beers are awesome, staff was friendly and quick on cleaning up and serving us

The food is AMAZING! The beers are hoppy for my taste but I like their light pilsner. What ever Brendan, the owner opens is always outstanding!!

Solid spot with great local music. I hope they expend their beer menu. We love the backyard games and the service is very good. We look forward to coming back and enjoying their atmosphere. The food is tastey l. We look forward to stopping by again.

Went on a Friday around 5:30pm, little wait for a table of 5.5 (high chairs available and family friendly).

The beer was all great, but I have to say, as a lover of all things Buffalo Chicken, Ive had buffalo wraps and sandwiches from HUNDREDS of places over the years. But this was hands down far above and beyond the best Ive ever had.

Everyone else enjoyed the food and beer as well and I made sure to take home a crowler too.

Band was WAY too loud for an afternoon session. They were good...but too loud for a 5pm meal. Brisket was warm at best and dry. Beer was cold and good. Overall I think they are taking their guests for granted and that is a formula for me going to establishments that dont

Great variety of food and brews. Ample outside seating to meet Covid requirements.

Establishment is very pretty in the way it is set up but other than that, I would not recommend. Food was over priced and NOTTT good. Nothing special AT ALL. Oysters were the best thing that my group ordered but still considered decent in our perspective. Not enough flavor. Server was not knowledgeable in the menu in any way and had trouble handling the drink tray :(. Very disappointed in the service & food :/ Also you are not able to split bill using more than two cards, another disappointment.

Great food and drinks live band some nights as well. Waitress Gia was very attentive and honestly one of the best table services I ve ever experienced. Highly recommend

Such great food And beer well worth the visit, awesome atmosphere and fair prices. They must have a crazy good chef in the back because the food blew me away, Mac and cheese is bagning and so are their appetizers

Salmon dish was awesome, it has shrimp, teriyaki noodles, carrots, cabbage. And I had it with holly beach wheat ale. Service were great! I had this today as my pre-race meal as I will be doing 5k run tomorrow

We looked at a few places to eat and decided on MudHen for their menu, location and great reviews. We have 4 young children so the online prices were very reasonable which also persuaded our decision to eat there. The actual kid menu prices are different from what is online by about double. I ordered a spinach salad which shows 14 online and on the actual restaurant menu but our check came and it stated $15. Beautiful atmosphere. Outstanding selection of food and drinks. The food was very good. But I am really disappointed the online site and the menu doesnt reflect the actual prices. Seems like a bad business practice.

Great atmosphere. Service was good but they kept recommending sandwiches when I was asking about the BBQ. Food was excellent, had the 1/4lb brisket with beans and slaw. The brisket was a little chewy but the flavor was phenomenal and the best beans I ever had. The beer was just okay, I had a flight to sample some different variety and none really stood out.

Had the mussels and garlic, excellent. The pita bread was great for dipping in the broth. The left over broth I took with me omg. The Yellow Flashing Lights stout was like sipping a fine bourbon to me.

I have been going to Wildwood every year for the last 16 years. I've seen restaurants come and go and have eaten at a majority of them. I was excited to see something new move in an it did not disappoint. I went with a larger group of friends for lunch. The wait staff was very accommodating and rearranged tables so we could all sit together. The place has a rustic atmosphere and was very clean.

As for the menu, don't let the single page deceive you. For eats, I got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with waffle fries and it was AMAZING! The portion was very generous. The sandwich was tender and flavorful and the fries were seasoned perfectly. Everything came out very quickly as well. To drink, I got the Holly Beach Wheat and it was very refreshing. Reminded me of a Blue Moon or Stella.

The only con I have is that they only split checks 4 ways for large groups, so I ended up having to split a check with one of my friends.

All in all 9/10, would go again.

Food was delicious! The Mac and cheese with pork and chicken was to die for!!! Also had the brisket sandwich and cheese steak made with ribeye...wow! Nice selection of beers as well. Fireworks IPA was really good!!

Excellent atmosphere. It took my breath away. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. There's plenty of space inside and out. The extensive menu offers everything from comfort food to burgers. I liked the flights of beer as well as mixed drinks from their bar. Our group had a great time....we will definitely be coming back. Wondering if you'll have live music in the future.

Had an amazing time! In town for a cheer competition, great brewery with an amazing porter and the yellow flashing light ! Blue point oysters were delicious! And A++++ on the lamb chops! Awesome entertainment! Amazing service by our waiter Nikola!

Every beer I tasted was good, and the chili with barbecued meats and cornbread was delicious - would be pleasing to foodies and non-foodies. And you don't have to drink beer or other alcoholic beverages to enjoy the good food and atmosphere.

Currently sitting here on my second serving of grilled oysters, this place is beyond a five star. Beers on tap were delicious, they had a few they were out of, but it s fine by me, what was available really blew me away. You know it s good when your seven year old cleans his plate and asks for more. Growlers are well priced also. Will be returning here without a doubt.

Loved it here! Love the rustic/industrial feel to the restaurant! Beer was great, food was great, experience was great! Great place to stop at while on vacation!

The food was delicious. We had crab mac and ahi tuna, and they were both fresh.

The bechamel on the mac and cheese was extremely smooth and flavorful; it complemented the sweet lump crab very nicely. The broiled cheese on top added a nice crunch, while the cast iron skillet kept it warm the whole time. The portion was huge!

The ahi tuna was coated in black and white sesame seeds that had been carefully toasted. The tuna was, again, fresh and perfectly rare. The seaweed salad was flavorful without being too briney or fishy.

For drinks, their beer is good - I had a fruited wheat beer that was very agreeable.

Awesome food,will definitely come back. Only complaint is that their keylime pie wasnt an actual pie

I came with high hopes as I saw great reviews. However I do not recommend the BBQ here. Not good. Why? Advertised as smoked, nothing there has smoked flavor. Over cooked brisket and chicken. Ribs were OK. Pulled pork below average. Also service was poor: no follow ups, lack of communication of being out of corn bread, 35 minutes to get our check and not even a sorry for delays.

The best waitress, Valentina D!!!! The food was excellent. The fall 2020 drinks made 2020 almost tolerable. Pumpkin martinis and apple cider old fashioned. Excellent. Our favorite place. We go in summer and fall. Thanks Mudhen!

Good food and good service. A bit pricey, but worth a visit.

First time here, loved it! Really enjoyed the hefeweissen and cider, and the food was great. Also, it was super crowded when we got there (8pm on a Friday), but we were seated in like 20 minutes. Staff is friendly and really efficient, especially given how busy it was. Will definitely be back!

Excellent food, beer, and atmosphere. Get there early before the diner time rush.
