Glenn Harris, Service Manager, is a lousy representation for professionalism and customer service on GM s behalf! Boniface-Hiers should be investigated for swapping out my ignition coil pack (which was in perfect condition when my friend and I changed the sparks plugs just four months ago) for one that is in TERRIBLE condition! We have pictures and we have proof. They swapped out the part as a means to force my hand in purchasing a new one, which was quoted to me at $260. This dealership should be shut down! I m not the only one who feels this way. I do not trust them to ever touch my car again! Several of my friends have Chevrolet vehicles and none of us will ever use this place again. Boniface-Hiers is a poor representation of Chevrolet and their staff is giving Chevrolet a bad name because they re making it seem as if Chevy vehicles are unreliable and of poor quality because of Boniface-Hiers poor workmanship and deceitfulness. Their poor workmanship at my last repair, a P0171 trouble code (valve cover) which was covered under a special warranty letter from GM, led to oil leaking from my car immediately after leaving Boniface-Hiers. My friend and I noticed the oil leak a few minutes after an approximate 12 mile drive from the dealership. The oil leaked all in my friend s garage, his driveway, and my garage. Additionally, oil most likely leaked on the roadways between the time we left and when I took it back the next day; we live beachside, which makes it even worse because of our close proximity to marine life, the ocean, and the Banana River. It should have been checked for problems BEFORE I drove off of the property. Also, Boniface-Hiers told me that the reason the oil leak happened was because the part (valve cover) was warped. I originally took my vehicle in for repair on 9/14/20 & was told that it was warped on 9/15/20, just one day later! I believe the part was warped when they installed it, yet they put it on anyway. The reason I believe it all seems suspicious is because the technician used RTV sealant for a part that has a rubber gasket. When I brought up the issue with Glenn Harris, Service Manager, and proposed a reasonable solution for my trouble, he not only refused, but began using aggressive tone and body language with me. He told me that the conversation was done, attempted to make ME wrong and out of line, and downright refused to assist me. I had to argue with him that the conversation was not over and that it was his job to take care of problems. He did sit down and look at my service history after I refused to leave his office until we came to a resolution. I was very assertive with him and became obviously upset, but I was not threatening. While he was looking at his computer, I told him I needed to walk outside for a breather. I was scared out of my mind and wanted to go outside in order to feel safe. He was very intimidating because of his relative size as compared to mine, as well as his tone and aggressive body postures. He even took steps toward me while using this body language, which I perceive to be threatening. He came outside where I was and told me he d go 50/50 with me on the ignition coil pack. I told him I will think about it, then I went into his office with him to get his card. I had my voice recorder on before I stepped back into his office for safety purposes in case another episode occurred. I did it as a form of protecting myself, however, the encounter was uneventful. There s more, but that s all I am saying for now because I ve already exhausted myself of three days out of my life and one of which I had to reschedule an appointment because I am a disabled military retiree, those appointments are very hard to come by, but I was scared my car s engine was going to be irreparably damaged had I not taken it back on 9/15/20. It has caused a burden and stress in my and my friend s lives. We plan to never return to Boniface-Hiers. I will be taking my vehicle to Bob Steele Chevrolet in Cocoa, FL this Wednesday, who comes highly recommended.
