My bike was backed into and damaged while visiting a friend in Ottawa so I took it to Goodtime to get some minor repairs done so it could face the 600km trip home the next day.
The service staff was very helpful and friendly throughout the process, the charges were minimal (less than an hour of labour) to fix the handle bars, out of place fairings and test that it was safe to ride again.
Big shout out to the sales staff as well, I almost bought another bike while waiting for the repairs to be done. Again, very friendly and informative.

This place is amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I had a breakdown in Ottawa on a Saturday morning. They took my bike in immediately and had me back on the road in 2 hours! While I was waiting they gave me some great suggestions for a local restaurant and I did some shopping in their excellent accessories shop upstairs. Thanks to the great team at Goodtimes Centre!

Their price on an Ariens snowblower was by far the best in the region. Now i know why. Had it serviced today (2 winters old). The tech says he sees lots of customers who went to this store. They barely put in the work into prep the machines properly. Our machine did not get set up properly and it will cost us money down the road, or not last as long as it should. This is precicely what I wanted to avoid by going to a shop that has certified techs!! I should have gone to Home Depot around the corner instead. Also, the guy at the desk in the front of the store was RUDE. You won't be saving yourself any grief or money by buying a snowblower there.

The parts department at Ottawa Good Time Centre is second to none. I went in recently to pick up a rebuild kit I had ordered and realized that the kit didn't come with a new retainer clip. I had been having an impossible time sourcing this particular clip. Bruce spent close to an hour with me looking through, not only all of their standard clips, but also looking through dozens of other models to try to match it with something in his inventory. Just when I thought all hope was once again lost, he said he had one more possibility. He came back with a bunch of kits that had been in stock for a long time, and sure enough, one of the kits contained the clip elusive clip I was looking for! He tossed it to me and told me to have a nice day. I was completely blown away. Talk about above and beyond!

I'm always impressed with the service I receive from the folks at Good Time Centre. Always knowledgeable and friendly. Jason runs a tight ship. However, this year they only get 4 out of 5. I picked up my bike last week. I told Service that I would pick it up at noon. I didn't get there till 1:30pm. It wasn't out of storage yet. It wasn't cleaned. They handed me the keys. I asked for a cloth and some cleaner and cleaned it myself. I still believe that Goodtime is the best in the city. Just a little disappointed they couldn't finish the last part of the service. Drive safe everyone!!!!

The Ottawa Goodtime Center was for years the best ...
The Ottawa Goodtime Center was for years the best place to have your motorcycle serviced in the City of Ottawa, the old service manager Jeff was great however everything changes and over the last 7-8 years the service department seems to have been getting worse and worse.
Now I should clarify it is not as bad as Power Sports on Huntclub (at least the mechanics at the goodtime center are proficient in their trade and are not 18year olds with their first job), but the service and counter staff and manager are horrible. The parts department still seems to be ok and older guy (50 s) working there is a fountain of great information. The sales team is hit and miss Pat is great and Jason is good as well however he is a little too slick (makes you want to check your wallet after talking to him for a while, just to make sure you still have your money).
All in all the rating sucks primarily due to their service department, darn shame because they really were the best in the city at one point, and now I would prefer to take my bike to Fred s place in Orleans or out to Rockland.

Told me I could only take a jacket for a test drive (I was concerned about lifting by the wind) if I paid for it first, then refused to refund me when I came back and didn't want it. I went here to purchase a motorcycle. The service I received was absolutely appalling. Just because of my age they stuck me with a bunch of extra fees. I only went here because my son recently purchased a bike and I went to buy the same bike. When I came home and we compared they had added some many absurd fees and charge me 2000 more than my son for the same bike. I went back together this adjusted and they would not help me saying that ALL SALES WERE FINAL.
Please be careful purchasing from them, they are worst then any used car salesman stereotype.
DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

Overall good service and the work seems to have been done well. Ultimately the work I asked for got done, including tires, oil, battery, and safety inspection. I would say that the price was not far off what I expected. There were some miscommunications about the timing for the appointment, and what work needed to be done, but ultimately it was easily resolved. Parts department did great in finding tires that would work for me and my odd-sized dual sport bike. Thanks for the work, I would come back again for service. Just double-check what work you want done while you're booking and what time your expected in and you should be good.

I have purchased a motorcycle and parts here, and ...
I have purchased a motorcycle and parts here, and had service done. I have had both good and bad experiences. Coles Notes: People selling the used bikes and parts are nice and helpful, but some of the service staff are sketchy. May still go here to look at bikes and get parts/accessories, but probably going to stay away when needing service.
GOOD: The sales staff are helpful both downstairs and upstairs (parts). Their used bikes cost the trade in value plus markup (shown on the price tag). The trade in price on the tags is correct, because I traded in my first bike and checked what they were selling it for later. I took my second bike in to fix a break squeak (pads were still good). They didn't fix it the first time, but I took it back and it was fixed the second time. Olivia in service was great.
BAD: This time we delt with someone else in service (not Olivia). My friend and I stored their bike here for the winter. They claimed there was a carb leak when we came to pick it up and they wanted to sell us a carb rebuild for a crazy labour cost. We couldn't detect any leak so tried taking it home to check more thoroughly, but it intermittently stalled taking off in first. Note: we wouldn't have tried driving it home if there was any sign of a carb leak. We were charged full price for the spring work, even though they didn't do all of it. We took it home with a trailer the next weekend and they charged for 3/4hr (almost $100) just for telling us, again, that the carb is leaking (it still isn't). Got it home and it runs fine and still no sign of a carb leak. Going to take a really close look at the bike, but get the sense that some of the service guys are sketchy. Will update if we find anything.

UPDATE 2: they did send the gloves in the mail and did call the next day.
UPDATE: dropped to 1 star... they accepted my RMA but failed to set aside my gloves. went to pick them up and none were left. left with no gloves, no money, but a promise that they'll call tomorrow.
words escape me. I won't hold my breath for the phone call.
2 starts for a few customer service issues, and convenience issues. store is ok, decent selection & prices. return policy, RMA process, and customer service could use work.
Pros: good selection of motorcycle gear/accessories at ok prices (some items have similar prices to online stores, not the best prices I've seen tbh).
Cons: I must be spoiled by both Australia and Calgary; their return policy is 30 days standard and their customer service in the RMA process has been crazy responsive & timely.
For example: GW Cycle in Calgary, I bought a helmet from them (Scorpion Exo AT 950), and a cover piece fell off. I was able to send them a FB message with a pic of the issue and same day they responded that they would make it right. 2 days later I get a FB message that the appropriate part came in. In contrast: I called Ottawa Goodtime Centre, and find that I have to drive in to start the RMA process, a 45 min drive out, inconvenient but ok whatever. 12 days later no contact from their customer service, I call in and find out that the RMA process has been accepted.
Honestly there are a few things that you guys could improve on pretty easy:
1. in the RMA process, suggest that the customer take pics of the item with the issue and send it to you, forward that to the vendor to confirm that they'll take the RMA. either way you'll save the customer a trip out to your store.
2. improve the customer service turn around, I really shouldn't have to call and get an update on an open RMA that should have only taken a max of 3 business days to sort out.
Again, I'm not sure if I'm just spoiled by the amazing customer service from Australia and Alberta, but regardless I haven't found anything standout with Ottawa Goodtime's service or selection. TBH in the future I'll probably give my business to FortNine or another online retailers just for the convenience of having the items delivered.

I was just it at The Goodtime Centre. I expect ANY business in it for profit, however not gouging the customer to balance a wheel (which I purchased from them and installed myself). Last time I do business with them!

I glad to have an opportunity to say few good words about this well known store in Ottawa! I bought my first bike there and it was great experience. I got it serviced for a year until I traded it to another bike and still get serviced it there. I also buy lot of gear and equipment there and prices are very competitive. The stuff is very friendly and I love to hangout there from time to time and sit on bikes and get ideas about my future ride. No pressure whatsoever. I highly recommend this store for anyone who looking to purchase a motorcycle or get it serviced. Despite some negative opinions that I heard, I never got it proven.

Bought a ninja from here. Good products but shady salespeople. Salesman said he would give me 2000 for my bike. I started to draw up the paperwork on my new ninja and he came back saying it needed a new chain and sprocket and a couple other minor stuff. He then changed his offer to 1200 basically pulling the foot in the door technique. I bought the new ninja anyways and decided to sell mine on my own (I got 2300).

Recently purchased a bike during the COVID lockdown. I had seen the bike several weeks before the purchase. I wanted to have a final look before I purchased it so I booked an appointment to see it. The process was seamless, dealt with Terry which was very professional. They picked up my trade and delivered my new bike. I signed all paperwork upon delivery. I've had A LOT of bikes and this is probably the smoothest it's been in terms of purchase.

I have been trying to find a clutch cable for my 1978 Honda cm185t but haven't found anyone with any listing available even Honda so i brought the staff of Ottawa Good time Center the cable and the they went above and beyond trying to track one down or at least a match that would work. In the end they found a cable for a Kawasaki that was almost identical and worked perfect! Couldn't be happier.

A parade of incompetence. Moved to Ottawa a year ago and have taken my BMW to Goodtime 3 times for service. They messed up every time. Every single damn time! I have heard it all - they diagnose a problem that they can't fix, they forget appointments, they forget to put all the parts back on your bike forcing you to drive 50km the next day to pick up the forgotten part, they make you order (and pay) for parts that are not needed, and the last draw was them telling me I am going blind and deaf and the warning lights and sounds are not real. And yes, I can go on. All to say, if you have a BMW in Ottawa, the best option is to use the real Motorrad dealerships in Montreal and Toronto. Already made an appointment with the Montreal one to fix the problem that Goodtime did not understand, as well as the 60k tune up. Also, if you live in Ottawa, you should avoid buying a BMW, or any of the brands only this store carries - I wanted to buy a GS for my upcoming tour of South America, now I will but a KTM or Suzuki instead.

Pathetic in general. Goodtime is a major let-down.
Today when I picked up my still broken BMW they made me walk through the rain because "insurance doesn't allow" me to walk to the back from the inside.
I picked up my BMW 600 they had replaced the timing belt tensioner on at 8000 k. Now at 28,000 it failed again and destroyed the engine. So the bike is scrap because they replaced a defective part with a defective part! The cowards at BMW won't honour the warranty. All ll I was to Goodtime was a cash cow.
I just purchased my last BMW because of their negligence & denial. If you wish to hear details please Email me at will@yourit.info

I've shopped at The Ottawa Goodtime Centre on and off for 13 years and the one thing that has never changed is the quality of customer service. The older staff have the experience and knowledge, the younger staff have the enthusiasm. This is a winning combo in my books! Be sure to stop by even if you just want to look around and be immersed in motorcycle culture.

I dealt with Terry from the sales department who was helpful and let me choose my bike and do layaway payments during the winter months. Totally painless process! When I picked the bike up the service department was just as excited as I was and literally treated me like family. When I got to the dealership there was a minor problem with the battery since it sat during the winter. Battery was reading ok but would have taken some time to charge. They knew I had a 4 hour trip home and changed the Battery for me no questions asked. Any dealership will act nice when circumstances are perfect but this is how you can tell they are an EXCEPTIONAL dealership. can already say I'm planning on purchasing my next bike from these guys and honestly so beyond happy with the motorcycle I brought home. I can't thank you all enough!

Greetings. Last week I went into Goodtime looking at clothes. As I was leaving a bike was being rolled onto the floor - a trade in and not even in their system yet....I waited 2 days and went back to talk about the bike. It was still not really ready, but was quoted between 8000 and 8400....nice bike, panniers, just what I'm looking for. So a few more days pass and I go back. He says 8400 and I say deal......as we walk by the bike I'm casually told, oh, the panniers are not included....The panniers are on the bike....never mentioned before. Sales guy says he'll see what he can do. Calls me and says no deal, no panniers. Full price. I am a repeat customer....was planning on purchasing $3500 worth of other gear - and then to be treated with this complete lack of courtesy. Imagine, blowing a $13,500 deal over $500. These folks don't care about their customers. And I will never enter that store again.

Limited experiences so far. I've been in the shop a few times browsing gear and bikes. I participated in some BMW demo rides with OGC which were great, but the owner decided to put the sales guy screws to me real hard. He was practically trying to guilt me into buying a bike, lamenting the very low conversion rate on demo rides and how the demo days were big money losers. As a potential customer, I don't care what the conversion rate is. If demo rides run at a loss, and that's a problem, then fix you model. Don't cry to me about it. That said, I've had pretty good experiences with other sales staff.

What a surprise, your records are out of whack, matches the so called, "Service", from my P.O.V., I wasted enough time, trying to ask you to come downstairs, from your perch, now, you get the same courtesy I was treated to that day, I don't have time for you, "Capisce!" "Oh Bob, contact Johnny, he has nothing to do with what happened", still passing the Buck, I'm already disgusted enough, thanks so much.

I visited the store once before and was impressed ...
I visited the store once before and was impressed with the level of service from Pat. He was patient with me and answered all my questions in regards to my first bike.
I then moved upstairs to buy new gear and was helped by a young man named Adam. He seemed to hate his job and gave me the impression he wanted to be doing anything but helping me. He at least stuck with me throughout the entire buying process, I'll give him that. I asked him to place the product on hold for me until the end of the day so I can make a decision on whether or not to buy the product. He said yes and put it aside. Or so I thought. When I came back a few hours later to buy the product his colleague had a hard time finding it. That's because he had put it back on the sales floor. He then approached me later and said, "I didn't think you were coming back" with a stupid smile on his face. I wasn't smiling. Then he had the gall while I was paying to come over and give the cashier helping me his commission number.
I still plan on making a bike purchase and additional gear but after such a terrible experience I don't think it'll be at Ottawa Goodtime Centre.

Good folks, fair prices, easy to work with. Huge selection of gear and apparel upstairs. Thanks for the mid-road trip service!
Great service and great people.
Great service and great people.
I have bought 2 bikes there in the past year and i have nothing but good things to say about the Good Time Center. The last bike i purchased, 2014 ZX-6R, from the salesman name Mike and i couldn't have been happier with my service. While standing and looking at the used bike i saw there was an aftermarket exhaust already installed and i asked i wonder what it would sound like, and with out hesitating mike brought the bike outside let me start it up and listen to what it sounded like. All through the processes of purchasing the bike mike couldn't have done more for me.
I am in at Ottawa Good Time a lot and these reviews about the sales men being pushy are not true. Mike for one is an up front and honest person when you talk to him and in today's day and age it can be taken as rude or arrogant when in turn its not. I know a lot of riders out there who like people who are up front and honest and are no BS people. The next bike i buy will be from Ottawa Good Time Center and if mike is there on that day it will be from him. I didn't by the bike i had one the first day i looked at it and i was dealing with mike. He told me to take my time look it over if i wanted a test ride to let him know and if i had any questions to ask him. He stayed there with me while i looked over the bike and at no time did i ever feel like i was being pushed or rushed into anything. Anytime i walk into that store i am greeted by the sales team and mike will come over and ask me how my bike is working and if i am happy with my purchase. Remembering people is a big part of return sales.
In my opinion from the service department downstairs to the parts department upstairs and every department in between i only have good things to say. I have bought a fair amount of expensive gear from there this year and the staff upstairs couldn't be more pleasant to be around, always smiling and they know their stuff. If you have a question about the equipment they will explain it to you, if they don't have it they will try and order it. Yes some of the prices for things are a little more expensive in store then compared to Canadian websites. I would take the little extra for the equipment for the in store service i received.
All in all i am writing this review because of some of the comments i have seen on here and people should be made aware that this is a great place to shop and a great place to browse without pressure and i have only had great experiences every time i have entered that store, except when they put out snow blowers for sale thus indicating to me that riding season is almost over :( , but like i said i am in there a lot, great service guys and gals, keep up the good work!!!

I was given the hard sell that I would be better served by buying a snow blower from Good Time rather than a big box store because they would be there for service. Boy do I regret that, when the starter gave out on my blower, not only did they not fix it while it was still under warranty, but they charged me $80 for the 'service'. I would suggest that you take you business elsewhere, that's what I'll be doing.

Beautiful, clean shop with lots and lots of fun things to get your hands on. I've been there 3 times now with different experiences, but I have to say the last time was pretty brutal.. I was made very uncomfortable by a female staff member that I'm guessing was the same employee whom I was speaking to on the phone that laughed at me then put me on hold without saying "I'm putting you on hold". As a female rider who is surrounded by other amazing female riders that encourage each other in a predominantly male sport, I was pretty appalled by her attitude, and won't be returning because of it.
