UPDATE 2: they did send the gloves in the mail and did call the next day.
UPDATE: dropped to 1 star... they accepted my RMA but failed to set aside my gloves. went to pick them up and none were left. left with no gloves, no money, but a promise that they'll call tomorrow.
words escape me. I won't hold my breath for the phone call.
2 starts for a few customer service issues, and convenience issues. store is ok, decent selection & prices. return policy, RMA process, and customer service could use work.
Pros: good selection of motorcycle gear/accessories at ok prices (some items have similar prices to online stores, not the best prices I've seen tbh).
Cons: I must be spoiled by both Australia and Calgary; their return policy is 30 days standard and their customer service in the RMA process has been crazy responsive & timely.
For example: GW Cycle in Calgary, I bought a helmet from them (Scorpion Exo AT 950), and a cover piece fell off. I was able to send them a FB message with a pic of the issue and same day they responded that they would make it right. 2 days later I get a FB message that the appropriate part came in. In contrast: I called Ottawa Goodtime Centre, and find that I have to drive in to start the RMA process, a 45 min drive out, inconvenient but ok whatever. 12 days later no contact from their customer service, I call in and find out that the RMA process has been accepted.
Honestly there are a few things that you guys could improve on pretty easy:
1. in the RMA process, suggest that the customer take pics of the item with the issue and send it to you, forward that to the vendor to confirm that they'll take the RMA. either way you'll save the customer a trip out to your store.
2. improve the customer service turn around, I really shouldn't have to call and get an update on an open RMA that should have only taken a max of 3 business days to sort out.
Again, I'm not sure if I'm just spoiled by the amazing customer service from Australia and Alberta, but regardless I haven't found anything standout with Ottawa Goodtime's service or selection. TBH in the future I'll probably give my business to FortNine or another online retailers just for the convenience of having the items delivered.
