I bought my car here about a week ago, Victor was the one who helped us and we couldn't have asked for better help! He was very kind, not pushy, and worked to get me a car in my budget. Our salesperson, Braydon, gave us our options and told us how much our payoff would be so we could make an informed decision. With the new features of the 2018 CX-5 in mind and the confidence in Mazda, we decided it was a good move for us. Braydon took care of all the details and made the purchase simple and straightforward. Chad walked us through the financial paperwork quickly and made us feel comfortable throughout the process. Purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and experienced issues driving off the lot. After several weeks of frustration working with the service department, the issue was diagnosed as a bad battery (which I had to pay to replace because they could not guarantee the battery health on used cars), but the issue ended up being a bad turbo (which was identified after bringing the vehicle to a different dealer.)
Recommend only buying new from this dealer unless you plan to purchase an extended warranty on a used vehicle. Do not depend on dealer to stand by their used vehicles otherwise.

During the dreadful winter of 2012-2013 we woke up one morning and found that our old car had thrown up all it's oil onto our driveway. And that's on top of the $800 of repairs we had just one week earlier. Frustrated with our old clunker, we walked into Orem Mazda looking for something newer that wouldn't cause anymore problems and would still fit the needs of our growing family. Took them 5 months to take care of something for me. I called a few times and emailed and the response was delayed or not at all.
After I bought my car it got totalled in an accident. Dealing with their financial department was a complete joke. They told me my gap claim check would be processed in 6-8 weeks... here we are at week 17 and my bank hasn't received a thing... my payment on the loan is now over due.
Every time I called to talk to Chad he gave me the run around or simply never returned my phone call. If Chad wasn't in I got transfered to Ty... who never returned any of my phone calls. I finally got somewhere when I spoke with the manager but he didn't even know when they sent this imaginary check out.... and told me to call back in a couple days.
Seriously F***** joke of a place. I will never recommend nor by from them ever again.

This is the best possible place to buy a car. Jordan helped me out and was the best "salesman" I've worked with because he felt more like a friend helping me pick out a car than a guy trying to upsell me to make a quick buck. I asked to look at a bunch of different cars, do test drives, and run numbers over and over again and Jordan was super patient and willing to give me the time I needed to think things through and make the best decision for me. I've been to other car dealerships where the salesmen are sleazy, annoying, and more of a burden than a help but that is not what you'll find at Orem Mazda. Bottom line, buy from Orem Mazda, get Jordan to help you and I promise you will amazed at the awesome experience you have.
We bought both of our cars here. Although we were displeased with the car wash, it has been recently replaced. Other than that, they have been great to work with and do repairs.
Jesse Berglund was the best car salesman my husband and I have ever worked with. He was friendly and knowledgeable but not at all pushy. Jesse was honest with us and seemed genuinely interested in helping us find a car that would work for us. He had a CX-9 that we were interested in buying driven down from Bountiful for us to test drive. We ended up buying it, and we love it so far!

We came here to look at cars they were very pushy on us to buy that day, they also kept trying to push us over our price range and tried selling us a car when we finally took a look at it I found a ton of scratches in the car that would probably cost a lot to fix. We finally decided test driver and the guy selling us the car kept going on how Mazda is the best all he would ever own blah blah. After w while of test drive and talking to him. We found out he doesn't even like cars, only drives motorcycles and his family doesn't own a single mazda.... yeah, real honest... we went elsewhere after that.
If I could give this interaction a zero stars, I would. They are so unprofessional. I've shopped here for years and have purchased several cars, but this was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I went in to talk with one salesman and floor manager and got all the numbers I needed to in order to buy out my lease. I asked every question I needed in order to buy out my lease. The floor manager gave me a final number that included the dealer doc and licensing fees (which they don't normally do), which I verified with him twice before I left there to check what my bank could give me for a loan, with the number given me.
I came back the next day to buy my car, after verifying with my bank, but the floor manager I worked with previously had left for the day, so I spoke with another floor manager, Jesse I believe. He had no record of the numbers I had been given the previous day. He looked and acted dumbfounded that the other guy would quote me what he did. He had completely different numbers, doubted everything from the prior discussion with his coworker, and wouldn't honor what the other floor manager said, even after talking with him on the phone. He also WOULD NOT let me go and get my loan through my bank. And he wouldn't give me the paperwork for the lease buyout to take to the bank because "they prefer you finance through them." He held my lease hostage until my bank was closed and I had to finance through them...
Then when I had to give in to buy finally, after sitting around for 2 hours and after my bank had closed due to him just sitting around talking with his buddies, they gave me surface numbers. Then all of a sudden there were additional fees on top of what they said the final prices were. Then when the lot tech was putting on my temp license, he stripped the hole when screwing it in...this place is a circus. The only guys worth talking to is the finance guy, who simply has you sign the paperwork that includes what he is told after the deals are done.
DO NOT LEASE from them unless you know all the fees involved, both on the front and back end of the leasing process. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM unless you work with the same salesman throughout the whole process and get ALL of their PROMISES and PRICING in writing. If anything, go somewhere else to get your car. If you want a Mazda, just save yourself the trouble and go to a different dealership with honest salespeople and managers.
Orem Mazda is amazing! I had an absolutely terrible experience at D. Dahle Mazda and the people at Orem were awesome! They gave me a great deal on the accessories for my car, not to mention being very kind, considerate, and helpful during the buying process. Go to Orem Mazda to see what real customer service looks like! (And do yourself a favor and avoid D. Dahle Mazda like the plague.)

Service department are crooks.
They wanted to charge over $100 to find out why our check engine light came on using their "specialized equipment." Auto Zone or Checker will do it for free using a standard diagnostic code reader. It's a scummy tactic to rope you into getting the overpriced repair done at their shop.
During a recent oil change, they said that we needed a coolant flush because the coolant was dirty (Coolant is clean and was recently replaced) and they insisted that the serpentine belt needed replacing (even though it shows no signs of wear.)
We recently just purchased a Mazda CX5 and had a great experience at Orem Mazda. Jason helped us find exactly what we were looking for. We came in already knowing what we wanted and he didn't try and talk us into anything we didn't want, he was very honest, which is a quality hard to find in a salesman. He helped us get everything we wanted and made sure it was the best price. I would recommend Orem Mazda and Jason Vanwagoner if you are looking for a car!

I bought a 2013 Mazda CX-5 back in January. They worked with me on the price which was awesome. While driving it home I noticed some issues with the brakes but only when I'm traveling at higher speeds and try to brake the car would just shake. It seemed to happen at 50 MPH and faster, (I take main roads everywhere so I'm never going faster than 40). I only experienced it on my way home so when it didn't happen again I didn't think anything of it, until I drove to Arizona and that's when I realized it had some major problems going on. I did write a review just stating what I was experiencing and gave them a low rating, they were fast to reach out to me and wanted to get these issues resolved. I took my car in, they figured out exactly what was wrong and had no problem fixing it for me, they even gave me a 2019 cx-5 rental (trying to up sale me and it's working lol). They have been very kind and patient with me on this and it's one of the best dealership experiences I've had.
This place is seriously the best place to buy your car! I bought my first car here and they totally worked with me on everything. I normally would not come to Mazda for a fix. However, I needed a recall done and figured they could take a look at a problem I was having with the car as well.
They found the problem, and it was so painstakingly minor. BUT THEY CHARGED ME SO MUCH FOR IT. When I was told what the problem was, I had really hoped I wasn't going to have to pay for anything. I thought the search/diagnostic labor (as it wasn't a fix/replacement) and the recall might just collide for that big $0... Although, I was perfectly fine and conscious on paying too (because in the end they did do some extra digging for me). Nonetheless I was not fine with being ridiculously overcharged.
I was charged $120, $137 after taxes, for them to find and pull out my insurance company's gadget (one of those things that tell how good of a driver you are based on braking intensity, etc).
(10/21) UPDATE: I spent most of my Saturday working on my car with my dad. Based on a report Orem Mazda gave me, I needed to replace a bunch of things, but I was told specifically my serpentine belt and rear brakes needed to be replaced soon. I ordered a new belt and rear brakes (rotors + pads) online, and during each and every replacement, my dad showed me my perfectly fine used car parts. They had no need to be replaced at all, especially any time soon. This Mazda managed to screw me another $140. I've been constantly told I'll just have to take this as a life learning experience, and I'll do just that.
Steer clear if you have little to no knowledge about car parts or if you hate saving money. Orem Mazda's Service & Parts Department will try to take advantage of you just as they took advantage of this passive, car-stupid college student.
We were shopping for a better car. Things we're going great until we had a problem with the radiator and our sales man said that the lemon law was already used. We didn't use it for anything. Nothing was changed on the car. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN. Jesse sold us a car that had problems and didn't say anything about it. Both my husband and I ate very unpleasant with how Jesse has treated us.
We had a great experience finding a vehicle that met our needs. Jesse was awesome and did not pressure us at all to purchase anything, but we found what we wanted and decided to get it. We d recommend Orem Mazda!

The sales staff is pretty average, I do love that they don't overly push you into something you dont really want. They let the car do the selling. However the service department is why I continue to purchase cars at this dealership! They are outstanding and they communicate with you on every issue! I just went in for routine service and they even washed my car without me even asking them to!
I liked that they made me feel comfortable and let me have time to think about my decision and honor what was offered to me. Taylor Curtis was great at giving me the information I needed about my car and let me know of any other available cars that would work for my budget.
I will narrate my incident and wish that people do not suffer like I did!
I went there couple of days ago for buying a used Honda Civic they had. First, they did not have pics of the car online so one could not make out of there are obvious issues. The car had few dings and scratches on the body (which I was ok with). The car was not clean/detailed(which again I was ok with as they would have done that before selling, probably). The sales person mentioned they have around 12% in taxes and fees which was new to me (as all the other places I have been to or heard of were close to 10.6%. I had asked them to give me a quote on the final agreed upon sale price (as I wanted to validate the sale price they offered me plus taxes & fees totaled up to the agreed OTD price) and they mentioned I would have got that while working out my finances with them (which I never got). I spent more than couple of hours with them talking over the sale price & OTD price. I also had good offer from my credit union which I clearly mentioned to them that if you cannot match the APR for the score I have then do not even bother inquiring my credit score. To this they told they would have to do it anyway and that they will match the APR I am getting. Finally I was told to start calling my insurance company for getting the temporary card and while I was at it (luckily the insurance agent was not in front of computer and she was to call me in 15 mins).
Their sales manager came to me and said they could not offer the price that was discussed with the sales person!!! Upon questioning why, they said they could not query my SSN which I feel was outright lie since their sales person initially came back with my credit score (and I believe without SSN you cannot get that!). He also mentioned that we cannot match the APR on finance and thus I would have to pay extra money to finance it from my credit union.
This was after almost 5 or more hours spending time on the car and on the verge of driving the car out that they backed off from their deal!!! Seriously guys get your act together, while negotiating you show real aggressiveness on getting a commitment from your customer on the negotiated price. Why can't you honor the same then?
For potential customer reading this review, BE AWARE! They probably will treat you right only if you live by their terms and in other case they are not man of their words!
There are no words that could describe the mental agony I went through on that evening dealing with these guys. However, at the end of it, I am a happy man not to have been associated with such a dealership.
If you take my words, there are many other dealerships that shows better salesmanship, visit them and you will thank me later!
[UPDATE] - Today[12/6/2015] I received credit application denial letters from NOT one but 3 different institutions even though they had assured that they do not go to banks for credit checks. Sure I would have signed papers for them to 'legally' do it but that was in good faith of dealer check and not banks! This explains two things to me 1. My credit score downward jump by ~20 points (Yes it was a mystery until now!!) and 2. It re confirms my assertions about them in the review above.
[UPDATE] - Today [12/10/2015] I again received denial letters from another couple of banks!! :\
I have ended up buying a car from a different dealer, and I am very happy about the deal and car! They have not done any credit checks (besides the dealer credit check which lowers your score by 1-2) from any credit institutions and they have not charged the ridiculous taxes and fees!!

Love these cars so much I just bought my second one yesterday. Jesse my first salesman was great and Brayden my second salesman for my second car was great too. I had a monthly budget of what I could afford and I felt like their sales team worked with me and what options were possible for my budget instead of putting their own agenda on to me. I really appreciated that! I have nothing but good things to recommend about their Mazda 6 cars! Especially the interior of the 2018 looks amazing. I found Orem Mazda through work. They were very nice to me. I was able to test drive cars and get Carfax report. Lil Wayne Berglund drove with me first and called me. I was able to text him and set up appointments. It was great. Debra Berglund helped me today. I don't have car payments. I bought my car with cash.

Honestly I've never been so upset with a car dealership. First the manager here is extremely unprofessional and RUDE. I told them what I wanted and what price range, he pretty much told me that his job is to sell me a car and to let him do his job. Then they talk me into a lease (Mazda is pro at doing this) leases are great. If you drive 10k miles a year and if you want to buy it out that you're okay with paying an extra 7-10k for a car. If I were you I would stay far away from this location and company in general. They're definitely the stereo typical "sales man" who try to screw you any way they can.

The guys I worked with were friendly, patient, and fun to chat with. I actually didn't end up buying a car from them, but they took the time to explain things to me and make me feel comfortable. The sales guy Brayden and manager / owner Chip spent a large portion of the day helping me feel comfortable and informed. Not pushy. Will definitely come back in the future.
When I went to Orem Mazda I was very hesitant to talk to anyone because I don't like feeling pressured into anything. I was lucky enough to get a great salesman, Jesse Berglund, who not only knew a lot about cars, but was direct, honest and really seemed to care about our needs. My first car purchase with this dealership was a 5/5. That is why I referred to purchase a new Mazda. Unfortunately my most recent experience with my second car purchase was a 1/5.
My wife and I both purchased brand new vehicles on the same day. Her car needed some work done, we were asked to return so that Mazda could service the vehicle. That process was a nightmare and no one wanted to help, and everyone passed the blame. Until Monty took over. The process to service our issue took several weeks (due to circumstances outside of Mazda's control).
Monty was very professional and consistently made detailed follow ups. He was very helpful and courteous durring an extremely frustrating situation. Had it not been for Monty, I would be leaving a 1 star review.
I've gotten 3 cars now from Orem Mazda over almost 4 years and they are the absolute BEST DEALERSHIP. This last experience especially, the Sales Rep Blake, Sales Manager Jordan, and Finance specialist Nate were all SUPER helpful, knowledgable, friendly, patient, and willing to do what it took to make me happy and comfortable with my purchase. Service department is always fantastic as well. Entire Dealership is A++, I can't see myself ever shopping anywhere else.
I got my car here in nov 2013. Ever ssince they do my oild changes and the return my car washed on the outside. Pretty nice. There is a waiting area which has been ever since remodeled you could say and it has a coffee machine and is the beat thing. It can make any kind of coffee you want. They also have fruit available and a water fountain. The couches are very comfortable. The service people are pretty friendly and they will let you know what your car needs. I do recommend getting your car here if this is where you got it. Also to buy a car hwre it took me the whole day from 11-6 pm. I wanted to die. But anywho. Im happy with my car. THANK YOU Mazda

PRO:
(1) Gave me a killer deal on my CX 30 because they need units off the lot.
(2) Liko was so great to work with. He was knowledge, detailed, and fast. He understood what I needed in my new vehicle and delivered. He was very transparent with pricing and fees which I really appreciated. He made purchasing a vehicle so painless which usually is not the typical experience most people get. 1000% recommend asking for Liko when you're looking for a vehicle. He did such a great job that I brought my dad in to purchase a vehicle as well.... And he did. They gave me a $100 referral bonus for that so thank you. If this review was just based off my experience with Liko I would give Mazda 5 stars.
CONS:
(1) Unless the sales guys are making a sale they cannot be bothered to help (Liko was not in today otherwise I know I would have gotten a better experience like my dad did). I came in to grab my plates and there were four sales guys standing
by the sales managers counter. Not one of them could step away to help put the plates on my car! They also didn't call me once the plates arrived. They knew I was in a hurry to get them because my temp tags were going to expire and I was going out of town.
(2) After my experience from two years ago I hesitated coming back but my brother-in-law convinced me to go back (he's purchased 4 Mazdas from Orem). Since they gave me a good deal on my car they wouldn't give my brother-in-law $100 for the referral like Mazda advertises.

Theo the sales manager low balled me my trade-in and wrote it off as motor issues when all that needed to be done was replace the right axel. When I asked for an invoice the salesman brought be a paper with only about 5 different fees listed (not sure if he thought I didn't know what an invoice looked like). When I asked to take the invoice with me so I can shop around he told me NO. They also refused to give me the loyalty reward of $750 after my brother-in-law has leased from this particular location 4 times.
I left the dealership so displeased with Mazdas customer service after I heard raving reviews.
I went to SOUTHTOWNE MAZDA and they did everything imaginable to get me the best price. They were phenomenal and I was out the door with a Mazda 3 within three hours.
Overall they went from 1 star to 3. If you're looking for a good price come to Orem Mazda. If you are looking for great customer service after/ during your vehicle purchase go to Southtowne Mazda.

The sells men were awesome! Funny, kind and seemed like they cared. I found a car that I liked and wanted to buy, went to the finance guy and we asked specificity if the gap insurance was through the bank (because its half there price) and he said yes, unfortunately come to find out it wasn't, and it was double the banks gap insurance price. So incredibly frustrating.
Working with the service department is always a great experience. They make it easy and painless. Had them mount and balance four new tires, and align my CX5. It was a great experience, great pricing, and they are all so nice each time I visit. Highly recommended service department.
Chip and Jordan are the greatest. So helpful, friendly and make car purchase very easy. We only use Orem Mazda for our car puchases.
