I would highly recommend going to this spa for a treatment. Joann was excellent and would definitely have another treatment with her. Beautiful spa and great view of the ocean. Very clean and COVID compliant. This was a gift for me and what a nice relaxing treat. Joann really made me feel relaxed and pampered. Thank you.

Get the candy and nutbar every day out of the snacks drawer, these are included in the resort fee! Take a long walk on the beach, enjoy the sea breeze on the balcony. There are some good restaurants around the corner. The hotel is a little bid out of the area of anything happening in Jacksonville.
One Ocean is 5 star class from their ocean front dining, to the easy beach access, and pool overlooking the beach too!
The food & stay are completely memorable, and their event space, and catering is great as well!
You can do everything all in one place here, and it's so conveniently located to the central hub of Atlantic Beach that it puts One Ocean over the top!
Pros: Very nice location. The hotel is in the middle of everything, with access to the beach directly from the hotel. You can walk to most of the shops within a few minutes. The largest (only 8 floors) hotel in the immediate area, and it fits nicely.
Lots of choices of restaurants and even LOCAL family restaurants like Ellen s.
Cons: The cost of daily parking is not cheap! Not to add if you take your car out, a tip should be given to the gentlemen that run back and forth. With Covid19, special cleaning processes of the rooms are being done. However, we left our room for the day on Friday (10th July). The gentlemen cleaning rooms saw us, and said he d clean our room (we re there for a 5 night stay), while we would be out. We were out all day and came back to the room not cleaned. We ended up merely leaving the towels outside the room to be collected, and had a fresh set dropped off. A shame the gentlemen could not have cleaned the room while we were out, as he offered.
Considering we re at the beach, the restaurant Azure (I believe that is the name), requires no open shoes and restore attire. Honestly, I am on holiday, not at work, and the most I want to do is to put on shorts, a T-shirt and some sandals/flip flops. Albeit, I understand certain restaurants and such have rules. But...
The shower door is setup in a weird way. Well, it is in room 601. To turn the shower on, you either have to get scolded with hot water, or get frozen with cold water. The shower handle is behind the door
I do love the location of the hotel and the options/choices of restaurants near by...
My recent stay started well. The resort is absolute beautiful. The staff was courteous and very pleasant. The bed didn t sleep very well but that is to be expected at times. Another guest created a situation that negatively impacted my stay. However, I commend the hotel for reaching out to me and making things right. I recommend this hotel!
Visited Jacksonville, FL and this hotel sold us 6 years ago. But not everywhere is like this place in Jacksonville, fl. Amazing room service. But I don't agree with their dress policy for their restaurant ! Sam Walton would be turned away because he forgot to carry a suit !
This Is The Best Hotel I Have Ever Encountered! From Friendly Check In Too Every Staff From Holding Doors Too Delivered Ice. I Would Give Them A 10!! Prestige All The Way!! Will Be Hitting Up The Ocean Front Spa!! More too come
My wife and I went there for a couples massage last week . . . WOW, this was an amazing experience. The part that was amazing (other than the massage, overlooking the ocean - which was fantastic) is the customer experience we had. There was a mistake with our scheduled time and the staff there bent over backwards to ensure that we were happy and made special accomodations to get our massage. The people there absolutely care about providing great service, the Spa facility is clean and romantic, and this is an awesome place to take a special person and treat them like royalty.
Location cannot be beat! We were in a corner King room with balcony. Had a package including free breakfasts and free valet parking. Right on the beach makes it outstanding. Service was great right from the welcome by Nick to the massage in the spa and to the dinner in Azurea waited on like royalty by Anita! Happy hour outside the bar in the covered area was great too!
The customer service was excellent but the rooms themselves are not anything special. Nothing really stands out in the rooms besides an ocean view if you happen to stay in one that has it.
My friend and I stopped here on our way to my timeshare in Orlando. She lived in the area but left 5 years ago, and we flew into Jax specifically to stay at this resort and go to their spa. I had arranged special requests through their website and emails and everything was exactly as I requested when we arrived. We started at the spa at noon, before even checking in. I highly recommend the Oxygen Facial with Traci (you will not believe the results) and the Earth and Sea Scrub. While we were relaxing on the spa, our bags were put in our room, they provided ice and wine glasses as requested, and we just floated from the spa to our room. Ocean front balcony, and it was cool enough to sleep with the sliding door open and let the sound of the waves lull us to sleep. Next morning, called for a pot of coffee to be sent up (included in the resort fee), along with a few additional snacks (also included), and we were happy girls drinking coffee on the balcony after an amazing sunrise. This place is pricey, but worth every penny. Every staff member makes you feel special. I highly recommend this resort and spa!
We got married at One Ocean in 2013 and it was amazing experience. It was so amazing that we have gone back every year since to celebrate our anniversary! The staff, services, and everything in between exceed our expectations every time! The location is perfect for walking to dining, fun little shops, and bars. You CANNOT beat One Ocean! They are one of a kind!
My boyfriend and I went down to Florida for a rock festival. We are 20 and we packed clothing for the occasion, so we did not fit in with the rest of the guests, but One Ocean staff treated us no differently. The spa was great, the room was beautiful with a great view, stocked fridge and food, in room service, pet and children friendly. We did not see any children on our stay however. Only 2 issues though. The bathroom is smaller than expected, and we were charged $449, after we already paid the 2 nights deposit/reservation, and the $300 for the resort fees, taxes, parking fees, etc. It has been 2 days and One Ocean had informed us they would reimburse us the 449 because it is a reservation fee
This weekend was our first time visiting the One Ocean Resort. We only stayed for a day as we were in town for an Engagement party nearby. It was easy to find and from the moment we walked into the door we were greeted with amazing customer service. The room was clean, albeit a bit small but comfortable, and had lovely goodies included.
What I loved most about our short stay was the food and service at the restaurant. The waitress, Alyssia G., was incredibly friendly, attentive and sweet. The breakfast was to die for (my husband had the lobster omelet and I had the crab Benedict). I'd also like to add that the coffee was amazing.
The only downside was that our ocean view had construction going on so we heard a lot of the clanging and banging from the workers. I imagine it's off-season so that was completely understandable and it didn't take away from the beach view.
If we're ever in the area again, we definitely plan on staying here and trying out the spa. Overall, the service was great all around and the entire hotel was beautiful!
Great service. Comfortable beds. We came on a girls trip and had an amazing time. There were plenty of snacks as we needed that because we had late nights. Wonderful access to the beach and wonderful restaurants to eat at! Loved it!
Excellent service, extremely attentive staff, food was excellent, you will not be disappointed at this location for accommodations. Only down side was the brown ocean water. Not very inviting but I am used to the Caribbean.
View from our balcony room 604. Weather was bad but it's a great view with the sounds of the waves rolling in. Had dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and it was very good. Very upscale and sea food oriented with steak options
A wonderful trip for our Anniversary, this Resort was a wonderful find, Excellent Service. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, park your car and never have to use it until you are ready to go home. The beach was most enjoyable, bring chairs or pay per day to rent, not included with the room.
Location was great. However, upon our arrival we were told the lounge was open. We dropped off our luggage at our room and headed there only to be met by maintenance stating it closed early. Why didn't the front desk know this and communicate to us upon arrival? Once back in our room I found men's hair on the bathroom sink and in our bed. I called the front desk to let them know and asked for cleaning supplies that never came. The following day we opened our curtains and found the headboard to be disgustingly dirty and also mold and mildew in the shower. We will not stay here again
Will never stay here again. Make up on the duvet. A toilet tank that took 15-20 minutes before filling back up. No power cord for the phone so couldn't call the front desk. Tv connection was terrible. Shower was beyond tiny. Staff and location are the only positives.
Very nice place with great views. Lots of activities to do with a spa that overlooks the ocean. Was here on business but the staff was always friendly and professional. Things were a little dated but still a great place
Great hotel except that they don t enforce mask wearing at the height of COVID-19. They have signs but people clearly ignore them and employees do not enforce it. Try going into Starbucks without a mask. You won t make it two feet past the door. However, in a hotel where there is constant foot traffic and the best way to protect each other indoors is by wearing a mask, they don t seem to care. Truly sad and unfortunately will not return because of their handling of safety protocols.
We came for a one night girls trip and everything was perfect! The pool staff was super helpful and lively. The front desk staff was friendly and the manager, Laura, made us feel very welcomed! We will definitely be back!
Ocean One has a premier location, on the beach in Atlantic Beach. We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday, the weather was perfect, and a ever growing group was arriving for the occasion. Our waitress rose to the challenge, finding new chairs and tables, and kept delivering beverages in a timely fashion. Not the cheapest place to imbibe, but the service was excellent.
For as fancy smancy this place is, its a shame how rude you are to your employees and in return how rude your employees are to your customers. Especially the ones with tattoos.. Our platmiun visa was charged (with an amazing tip left as well ) the same amount as the others in this same exact building. Also not having a better appriciation for your locals who choose to use this establishment for special occasions is really disappointing.
My mother, two daughters, and I had a great experience here! Everyone greeted us with a smile and was a great help when needed. We would definitely recommend staying here!
Love this location North Florida best kept secret Atlantic Beach is a precious gem with the best Sunrise at One Ocean Resort. Excellent staff ready to please you. I go there for business and pleasure multiple time a year. They have a great restaurant the Azurea and Bar. Best of all good restaurant within walking distance. one of North Florida's best kept secrets.
Booked a one-night stay here for my 30th wedding anniversary. Staff was welcoming and generous. Unlike my experience with other luxury hotels, there were a great many extras provided that didn't cost extra, including drinks and snacks--a very refreshing exception to the rule that the more stars a hotel has, the less amenities are included in the price. We booked our anniversary dinner at the attached Azurea restaurant, and that, too, exceeded expectations for less than I was expecting to pay. My only minor complaint was the size of the bathroom. The shower door and bathroom door share the same swing zone, and this creates some awkward choreography, especially if two people are trying to get ready for dinner at the same time.
Had some normal hiccups that any hotel could have but their customer service is top notch. They completely went out of their way to make it an experience amazing. Great hotel
This resort is comfortable with great service. I recommend staying more than one night. It's truly your home away from home. They have great food. Also, the beachfront is a few steps away, so pack all your beach essentials. Lastly, be prepared to have a great time.
One Ocean Remington (Azurea Restaurant) I had the most pleasant experience while dining. Brittany D was the best server. The food was delightful. The ambience is great.......go see Brittany and Tip her well
Our son was married on June 25th and had his wedding reception at the hotel. Several of his friends flew in from Salt Lake UT, and stayed in the hotel for 5 days and mentioned that the hotel, the staff, the food, were some of the best they had ever seen, and they have traveled extensively all over the US. I didn't stay at the hotel, but the reception, food and wait staff were wonderful. Don
This hotel is okay. It is a little dated but it's one of the better ones on the beach. It's close to a lot of good restaurants and the room service is pretty good.
We were so excited to stay at One Ocean because the hotel is so pretty and in a great location. We were going to bed and saw a bed bug on the bed! It was late at night and we called down to the desk and got no help. An employee came to the room and wouldn t even come in because she said she was afraid of bugs. (As if we aren t?!). We packed up all of our things, had to go to a 24 hour laundromat and wash all of our things and Lysol our suitcases and go to another hotel and shower in the middle of the night. We were up all night and our weekend was ruined. We are now staying at a place that is awful because it was last minute in the middle of the night...but at least, bug free. Have never had such a bad experience at a hotel ...ever! Zero care or consideration from the management in an awful situation.
Very nice, clean rooms and common areas. Great decor in rooms and throughout hotel. Comfortable (albeit rather small double beds) with very nice, thick comforters and even a body pillow. Phenomenal staff -- very polite and helpful. Valet parking required, but your $27 per night Resort Fee covers overnight parking and a fully stocked snack bar in your room (bottled water, sodas, chips, trail mix, candy bars, etc.). Did not get a chance to try the spa services nor use the pool, but passed by both, and they looked awesome. Great stay! Will definitely come back...and maybe try the spa!
