One of the best dining experiencs ever! So glad my friend recommended it for our anniversary dinner.
One of the best dining experiencs ever! So glad my friend recommended it for our anniversary dinner.
Right on Ocean nothing like the old Sea Turtle Inn wonderland place
Great hotel with local bar on the ocean. Spa is a popular travel and local destination.
From the valet to the bartender and beyond, I can not say enough good things about those that work here. They all go way above and beyond anything that I've experienced from a hotel staff in the past. I will definitely be returning to this property.
Highly recommend. Really enjoyed my stay with my two small dogs in this hotel. Friendly staff very accommodating. It was raining one day during our stay and the personnel at the front door gave us an umbrella. Very polite and friendly staff.
I booked a one night stay at Ocean One this weekend. I was super stoked to have a mini mommy vaca and looked forward to spoiling myself with a resort instead of my go-to reservations. After checking in I had to run across town so I didn't really take a good look at the room the first time I went in. When I finally got back and started getting ready for a shower I noticed that the bathroom wasn't clean in any way. I mean, the towels were beautifully folded, but once opened were covered in filth. Checked the trash cans which, while not full, had also not been emptied prior to my stay. Nothing in the room appeared to be actually clean. I went to the front test to discuss the matter and was given new lines to switch out as I requested. No other rooms were available and housekeeping was not on duty so I didn't really have many options. Housekeeping showed up at my room this morning asking questions about when I booked, when I checked in, and when I was checking out. Apparently my room was showing vacant on their side. I was asked how my stay was and I answered honestly. The housekeeper preceeded to argue and dismiss my comments because according to her it was "just my opinion and you probably stirred up the dust when you switched out the bedding the night prior, because dust travels". I just gathered my stuff at that point and headed to the checkout and explained what happened. The lady at checkout was super apologetic and did discount my stay.
Overall, the staff(excluding housekeeper), were super friendly and very understanding with my concerns. The two stars are strictly because of them. However, the cleanliness knocks you down 2 stars and another .5 for the not so friendly housekeeper.
Not quite five star but on the beach after all. Had a meeting with a few clients there. Frankly, I think I'd stay at a less expensive hotel.
I stayed ocean view room last night, it was Very private plce, staffs were very nice and facilities were great. Just one thing, lobby area was constructed at the time. it was inconvinenve to me.
Great place for a conference. Beautiful marble through out the hotel, friendly staff, beautiful rooms, delicious food, great tea, coffee and infused water, good microphone and projector setups in the conference rooms.
went to the lovely restaurant. Had the amazing server Glen. He took great care of us and made sure the food was amazing! Kept great conversation with us!
This is an amazing resort on Jacksonville beach. We had dinner at their magnificent Azurea restaurant. It was the best meal I've ever had. They are accommodating to individual dietary needs.
The service at this resort is top notch. The staff are all very friendly and most accommodating.
The rooms are very comfortable. I particularly liked the container in the bathroom filled with make up remover pads, cotton balls and q-tips. It's great to have this attention to detail for those who forgot to pack these small, but for the ladies, essential items.
For early birds like me, there is self serve coffee and tea which you can enjoy inside or outside on their patio or even take a stroll on the pristine beach. This is a great place to stay.
Location and venue is nice however, there is no signage to any of the ballrooms, to the restaurant/bar, or the pool/beach access.
It's really nice but not quite as nice as it thinks it is
Hands down the BEST place to stay in Jacksonville or the Beaches.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the vallet parking. Really nice art deco interior. I was there attending a Big Brothers Big Sisters fund raiser
I've been a patron of One Ocean since 2012 when I relocated to the beaches. Many times at the restaurant - delicious food and great service - first time at the spa. Veronica is the loveliest ladies ever! I'm definitely coming back to see her and will bring my friends too. If you have a chance... Book with her
The location is perfect! I thought the price was a little high for a standard hotel room, but maybe it was because spring break is around this time. But you couldn't beat the location!
Beautiful place! Very unique details throughout the resort and the location is prefect!
This is an excellent hotel with a great restaurant. I cannot believe the location and the views!!! It is on the line of Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach. The beach access is easy.
For locals it is worth pointing out that dogs are permitted in Atlantic Beach anytime while there is a curfew for dogs on the beach. The people on the beach are mostly tourists and more crowded than a few blocks north or south.
We met friends for drinks in the bar and I was pleased with the service and how nice the place is.
I was very disappointed in the room that we were given when we arrived. The website s description was very deceiving regarding the special they had on Deluxe Rooms. The view definitely was not as described; we looked out over the roof and city bars, not the ocean! I was also very surprised that the bathroom and shower were very small ... and no tub in the Deluxe room. Of course, the special advertising on the website was no longer on the site for us to argue our side of the misleading information. Of course they were booked and could not move us to another room. I also didn t care for the required paid valet service; I would like to go to my car if/when needed without calling to do so.
Lastly, the last morning there, housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:00 a.m. wanting to clean!! Not happy about that; checkout was at noon.... no need to disturb us that early. Definitely overpriced for our needs.
One ocean has very accommodating staff, clean rooms, spectacular location and views! I will definitely stay here again in the future! *(And do yourself a favor and walk to eat dinner at Doro - Phenomenal food, service and hospitality)
The location is awesome for beach life and multiple restaurants in the area. Service is great and the food was delicious too. The SATELLITE TV Goes in and out and is limited in channels. All in all, it's a good place to stay for a weekend.
Everyone was very friendly & it was a very nice hotel. Could have done without the construction on the roof at 8am but I would definitely go back
I use to frequent this as my mainstay when vacationing at Jax Beach when it was The Sea Turtle but since it's changed its since then been remodeled, name change, and assuming change of management or at least owners it's just not the same. Staying at Sawgrass now and it's superb! I highly recommend anyone staying here to change venue to Sawgrass.
Small hotel with friendly staff. It is across the street from Beaches Town Center with blocks of dining and shopping options.
Little luxury while in the 904. Rooms are decent. Pool area is a little small, but easy connection to the beach makes it all worthwhile. Spa is always a delightful visit.
The facilities are great for professional meetings. The hosts are very attentive to the attendees and the menu of snacks and meals is delicious.
I was here with my wife volunteering to clean Jacksonville Beach. The weather was not very good, very windy and cold, but a good cause sponsored by Generation W. I think it was their fifth year holding the event. Look forward to doing it again next year and invite others to help too.
Hopefully the owner makes this right for me and my family
Really great place in a great location, right on the beach. Very nice accomodations, comfortable bed. Very clean environment. The on site restaurant has amazing breakfast food, and there are so many restaurants and shops surrounding the resort. My wife got a massage at the spa and she felt great the rest of the day! Would 100% recommend this place!
We booked rooms two months in advance and paid in full. When we got there we were told that they did not have the rooms that we paid for Ocean front rooms with a balcony. Instead we got no ocean view and a free bottle of $7.99 cheap wine. Don't be caught up in this bait and switch. Stay away
Great hotel, great location. Staff is very friendly.
We came back from dinner found door to room wide open yesterday 7_26-17.Today called front desk for towels over 2 hours no fresh towels. The place is nice but so far disappointed with overall experience.
Great location, close to other restaurants. Great beach location!
This place is beautiful. I was their for a company event which included a one night stay. My view of the beach was absolutely beautiful. The hotel staff was very pleasant. The location is great you can walk to other shops & restaurants in the area. I can't wait to go again.
Does nothing for local residents and community in Atlantic Beach ,Florida No local entertainment on weekends
Absolutely wonderful staff, amazing service and amenities. I really had a great time!
This is a lovely resort and space the staff is amazing I would recommend this place to everyone
Beautiful location. However head boards of their beds are stained from people head and it is disgusting to say the least. The people staying seem so ignorant when it comes to wearing masks and limiting the number of people on the elevator. Failed in management.
The rooms have tassels torn off of the window treatments and could have been cleaned better in the corners. Valet and resort fees add up but that is to be expected. Can't beat the restaurant though for a special occasion.
We went here to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was amazing. We have never been treated so special. From the moment we walked in, we felt like royalty. Beginning with a Happy Anniversary card on our table to superb service by all and a meal that was absolutely amazing, I would highly recommend them for any special occasion. The view of the ocean wasn't bad either!
Burned crab cake was not good and the manager neber came to the table!!
They really pride themselves on service, and did well in this regard. Very nice and comfortable room. We had an online discount, and it was well worth the price ($175). Would stay again if in Jacksonville.
Great service staff. Enjoyed 3 night stay immensely. Couples massage was worth every dollar.
My girlfriend and I booked an 80-minute massage for my birthday. We were 15 minutes late and ended up only getting the 60-minute massage then we got charged for the 80 minute one. When we attempted to talk to the front desk lady there she was very disrespectful and did not work with us at all. I would not recommend this spa to anyone.
Great customer service,Nice atmosphere. Love the Gingerbread house unveiling by James Victorino.
Room was gorgeous, service was impeccable, food was amazing. Felt super fancy when they brought up complimentary chocolate covered strawberries to my room and I ate them while I wore my custom made hotel robe...
I'm just still floored because the whole staff was so nice and welcoming and catered to every want with nothing but kindness.
Service is not worth the 22 percent gratuity automatically added to everything. Food is OK but does not live up to the price they charge for it. We asked for a rollaway bed and they gave us an inflatable that had a hole in it. They did not have any other beds and would not give us our money back so one of us had to sleep on the ground. For the prices they charge this place should be a lot better.
Wow. I'm Impressed by the super friendly staff. From the valet guys to the house keeping staff...all so friendly?! I was in the elevator with a maintenance guy and he even told me to have a nice stay!
My Partner and I stayed at the Resort for my Birthday. The room was very clean. The staff was pleasant. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and our server named Hannah was truly amazing. She was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a few selections of desserts. Our overall experience was AMAZING. We will be back soon.
I had breakfast in the restaurant. Food was very delicious, real potatoes, not from a can/frozen. Eggs were real, no powder, and other chemicals.
Absolutely beautiful rooms. GREAT elegant stay on a wonderful beach.
We love it here - have stayed here multiple times and it's great - service, pool, bar, etc.
I have been coming here for 10 years, consistently a good place to RELAX
I was there for a cocktail hour at the front bar. The bartender was eager to please and the drinks were made well
Great place to have a conference! Room, food and space all great!
If I could give more stars I would this place is perfect
Service was A plus from the moment I pulled up to when I left. No details were left undone. The spa was amazing!!!
I don t normally do reviews but One Ocean Resort completely exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredible, all of them. While some were cleaning rooms, they would even pop out to say hi and wished us a good day. The resort is right on the beach, super clean, and family oriented. I will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Very nice and elegant resort, booked 2 nights for a girls getaway weekend. Within walking distance to Beaches Town Center which has restaurants ($$,$$$) shopping and night life. Private pool with pool bar and boardwalk to the public beach. Pet friendly resort with dogs allowed on the beach, on a leash only, but no active enforcement (no dogs allowed in Jax Beach, a few miles away). Rentable beach chairs and umbrella ($15/each for the day) provided to resort guests. Towels for pool use provided by resort. Pool bar will deliver your food if directly in front of resort on the beach. Wifi, Snacks and juices in room are included with resort fee. Valet parking only, not included in resort fee, $30/night +tip. In room safe and fridge with doorbells and maid notification light for each room. Very accommodating staff, can be reached on phone 24/7 with "one touch" button on the in room phone. Modern fitness room. Did not book a spa appointment but spa hallway smelled like relaxing essential oils. Spa includes ocean view and gift store with spa related products (lotions, oils, robes, etc.) Guests were a mix of older couples and families. Saw young children with family but no college-age partying. Rooms are well spaced and cannot hear neighbors. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay!
The service was top notch from every member of the staff.
Excellent massage from a well trained body therapist!! Perfect pressure and flow!
Best staff I have ever had the pleasure of serving me.
The good: Location (Beach, walk to food/bars/shopping! Poolside bar had great/creative drinks, The Spa (except no jacuzzi or pedi stations on men's side), Docent services (including free restocking of snacks, bevs)
The bad: smallish bathroom w/very slippery tub and can't reach the faucet without standing; food was quite mediocre for the price, resort fee+parking fees adds $60+ to daily rate, Lobby and bar were freeeezing cold (overheard many complaints)
The ocean view room only had a slight view of the ocean. But the room itself was tastefully decorated with calming colors. The docent services were nice, having things brought to the room whenever we wanted. The restaurant was beautiful and the food was beyond expectations. The hotel is at the end of a bunch of shops and restaurants. Will come back again.
